Maria was super helpful with the process of our cake! She had so many different delicious flavors to choose from. The cake was absolutely delicious!

Absolutely fabulous! Maria and her team are so great and made the whole process easy and stress free. It also helps that everything coming out of their shop is SO DELICIOUS!!!! I cannot speak highly enough of them and they are definitely who you want with your wedding bakery needs!!

We had our cake tasting and loved ALL of the flavors provided. My fiancé decided he wanted something unique that wasn’t included in our original tasting—espresso flavored cake. Maria arranged a day to make espresso cupcakes for the storefront and set some aside for us to try. They did not disappoint! The espresso and almond torte flavors were the two we picked for our wedding, and our guests all loved the cake. The cake decorating was beautiful.

Tin Man Sweets did an absolutely wonderful job with our wedding cake! The lemon-blueberry caked we picked turned out absolutely delicious, and it was the talk of the reception among our guests. They did a wonderful job coordinating with the reception venue and the florist to ensure our cake turned out exactly as we requested. Also, instead of having to freeze our cake topper for our first anniversary, we get a free mini cake to enjoy! Most importantly, my husband and I loved the fact that they are a locally-owned family bakery. If you’re looking to have a delicious and beautiful cake that your guests will love, Tin Man Sweets is the perfect bakery!

Maria and her husband were very nice to work with. They were very polite and answered promptly throughout the time we first emailed up until the wedding. The tasting was fun and relaxed, she even gave me private time while I tasted so it wasn’t awkward. She was very helpful with answering my questions, and understanding what I wanted but keeping my budget in mind. We even get a free mini cake for our first anniversary.

We went to another bakery before this one, and we were so discouraged. Then we met Justin. He was awesome! Not only did he give us the PERFECT cake in our price range, but it was 2 different delicious flavors, and it was beautiful! We honestly didn’t think about our cake until fairly late in the process, so I was worried we’d either have to break the bank or not get what we wanted, but Tin Man was perfect.

Tin Man Sweets was one of the options we had for our wedding cake as it was contracted with our venue... my husband and I are so beyond happy with them! Not only did our wedding cake turn out beautifully (everyone raved in how great it tasted), but my surprise groom’s cake for our rehearsal dinner blew my mind. Maria took my vision - a WWE ring with a softball field and Pittsburgh sports logos, and ran with it! It looked phenomenal and everyone loved it! Not a piece was left! You will not be disappointed choosing them to do your cake and I know we will be ordering from them in the future!

Highly recommend! Maria was wonderful to work with and everyone at our wedding raved about the delicious cake! The carrot cake is truly to die for Maria also made a beautiful white pumpkin cake for my husband and I to cut. She is organized and worked hard to make sure everything for our big daqy was perfect. The prices are very fair and the product is incredible- will definitely be a patron in the future!

Tin Man Sweets made us the best wedding cake I’ve ever tasted! Everyone complimented how fresh, moist and delicious our cake was, unlike most wedding cakes people are accustomed to having! They were great to work with and very accommodating during our cake tasting as well! We highly recommend them as a wedding cake vendor!

If only zero stars was an option. Beware this business. I sincerely wish I had read the reviews before agreeing to go with this bakery. WE HAD NO CAKE FOR OUR WEDDING! 😭 I found out a few short moments before our ceremony that the cake never showed up. And found out the day after that "they were relocating to another building and our order must have been misplaced." I was devastated and had to act like nothing happened for my own wedding ceremony. Then got to explain to my new husband why the cake we were cutting looked nothing like what we had purchased, and keep a smile on my face for all of our guests. Our venue saved the day by making up a cake within 20 minutes so our guests had no idea. If it wasn't for them I probably would have been in tears. I cannot believe how unprofessionally this all happened. And now to read reviews that this is not the only occurrence? I don't recommend putting your trust in them for such an important day.

After having a bad experience with another baker, it was very nice to meet the team at Tin Man Sweets. They were all very nice and seemed to understand the look that we were going for. The cake turned out mostly the way we were hoping. The only thing that was missing was the blue ribbon that I mailed to them to put on each layer. The cake still looked beautiful without the ribbon so I suppose it wasn’t that big of a deal. The cake was delicious and I can’t wait to have it again in a year!

If I could give zero stars I would. What a disappointment!! I called to schedule a consultation/ tasting for my fiance and I. The man that answered the phone said they offered a few evening appointments a week and we picked the day he suggested which was the Tuesday after Memorial Day weekend. After both of us rushing to get there on time after we found it was CLOSED!! I immediately called and left a message asking for someone to call me back to explain what happened thinking maybe they had an emergency; I was wrong. A women called me back the next day and said they simply forgot. How does someone forget about a potential client?!?!Terrible first impression in my book. I explained we were going to look elsewhere because we were not confident in their service if they can't even show up to a consultation and she proceeded to say"Obviously" with a snarky tone and then proceeded to laugh. What an awful experience. They sure no how to turn off a Bride and Groom. They will NOT be our baker. If you expect your baker to be on time and remember your wedding do NOT use them because they are to busy for you. As someone who used to work in the wedding industry this is unacceptable and unprofessional.

They created a delicious and beautiful wedding cake for our day. Our consultations were relaxed but informative and they willingly worked with us as we asked questions and designed our cake. We got so many compliments on our cake and will highly recommend this bakery!

Maria is AMAZING! She is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I changed my mind about a few small details a few times via email, but it turned out perfect! Our cake was DELICIOUS (Toasted almond torte and strawberry champagne) I know this is cliche but literally ever single guest at our wedding raved about the cake! I was super happy when there were leftovers. I CAN'T WAIT for our first anniversary to get to eat her cake again!! BTW her new shop is absolutely beautiful also! I wish I lived closer, I'd get cupcakes every day!

We ordered a small cake for just the bride and groom and had cupcakes for everyone else. We also ordered cookies through them for our cookie table as well. Everything was delicious. We especially received so many compliments on the cookies!

The cake/cup cakes are SO good!! Justin is very friendly and helpful and will help you find exactly what you're looking for! They were very professional and set up our cake and cup cakes so we didn't even have to worry about anything on our wedding day! We will definitely be using them in the future for our sweet treat stop!

Thank you for accommodating our desire to have a confetti wedding cake. You can imagine our guests' surprise when our wedding-theme colors were revealed as we cut through the icing! From the moment that we met Justin at the Mayernik Center Bridal Showcase, to the planning and tasting meeting at the shop in Evan's City, to the delivery in Farmington, PA (2 hours from your shop!) on the day, we always felt that we were taken care of and getting the best.

Tin Man Sweets was AMAZING!! Maria at Tin Man Sweets sat down with me, and worked with me to really understand what I wanted based off of a couple pictures of wedding cakes I liked. Maria was able to create exactly what I wanted within my budget, she was fantastic. Not only was our cake beautiful, but it was delicious! I love sweets, but I am picky about spending my calories on just any dessert, this cake was well worth it! I had so many of my guests talk about how tasty the cake was, they were shocked because they are used to wedding cake not being so great. My mother even took a few extra slices to work, and everyone who ate it immediately asked for the bakery information. Don't look anywhere else Tin Man Sweets is the best!!

Our wedding cake turned out wonderful. They were easy to work with and we appreciated the fact that they were local. The cake was delivered to the venue in plenty of time, and all of the guests enjoyed it. We ordered a 2 tier marble cake with chocolate mousse layer and buttercream icing. Though we did not get a chance to eat much of it, what we had was delicious.

Our wedding cake was the most delicious cake I have ever tasted in my life!!! Tin Man Sweets makes some of the best cake in the Burgh! Justin is friendly and helps you design the cake to be perfect. One of my favorite things that Tin Man Sweets offers is the complimentary cake on your first anniversary! Say goodbye to freezer burn cake! Instead of saving the top layer, they will bake you a fresh one! We had to wait a while to get our contract because of holiday busy seasons, but other than that, Tin Man Sweets was the perfect cake vendor for us!

Justin was so great to work with! We had the anniversary cake and 170 cakes. We did 3 different flavors for the cupcakes and they matched sugar colors & frosting to our wedding colors. Also delivered for free up to 45 miles. We didn't have to freeze our anniversary cake as you just call them a week before your wedding anniversary and they will make you a fresh one for free! Their white almond raspberry is also to die for!! I would recommend them to anyone for any occasion!

Pros: Yummy cupcakes and pies for my wedding. They picked up my wedding cake and gluten free desserts from Gluuteny since Gluuteny couldn't deliver them due to being short staffed. I was very appreciative of this. Cons: When I went for my tasting, they weren't organized and didn't have the notes from our phone conversation. Also a few times when I talked on the phone they couldn't find my file. The day of my wedding, they forgot the gluten free cupcakes and had to make a second trip to my venue. Thankfully they got there before the reception started.

My wedding cake was amazing!! I got a 4 tier cake, with a different flavor and filling in each tier! They use real butter for their icing. It was very yummy, highly recommend! The price is also very reasonable.

We wanted a whipped cream icing wedding cake! It was absolutely FABULOUS!!! Thanks to Tin Man Sweets! They made an beautiful looking and amazing tasting cake! We wanted simple and fabulous taste and we got it! Almond white cake with bavarian cream filling and whipped cream icing! It was great! Even as my husband surprised me by spreading the icing all over his lips and then kissing me with it!! Best Ever! Thanks Maria!
