Tina was absolutely amazing from start to finish! She took the time to discuss with both me and my husband what photos we wanted (the non-negotiables with certain groups and family and friends) so we could come up with the best timeline that worked for US! She also recommended our amazing videographer to us! Tina was timely the day of the wedding and didn’t get in the way of us having certain moments but was also able to capture those moments! I can’t tell you how much that is appreciated!! Tina sent us some sneak peaks while we were on our honeymoon and we were so excited to see how amazing the photos were looking already! She got our wedding photos back to us in such great time and helped us put together our wedding album which came out sooo beautiful. We pull it out all the time to look at it to relive the moments of this day. This is what it’s all about! I can’t recommend Tina enough she is absolutely amazing!
Tina is the most professional and knowledgeable photographer I've ever worked with. She did my engagement photos, bridal shower photos, and wedding photos. She always has a fast turn around and her assistant was lovely as well. I have also seen her work at other weddings that I have attended and she provides the same great service to everyone. She knows what shots to take and poses to put you in so you don't have to stress about that at your events. She is very helpful at easing the stress the day of events, and has the fastest turn around time of any photographers I've used! 10/10 would recommend!
We were beyond disappointed with Tina Dalgish's work and how she treated my entire bridal party, mother, mother-in-law & guests at my wedding. She was so rude & started by yelling at us as soon as we arrived at the venue. She even yelled at myself - the bride. My bridal attendant kept whispering in my ear, 'the bride is always on time' because she also could not believe how inconsiderate she was being. Tina was condescending and her manners were so inappropriate that I had to ask her assistant if something had happened to her that day to cause her to act so unkind. Her assistant just looked at me petrified.
Upon deciding to work with Tina, we had wanted to book with JoVon Photography & she insisted that she could match their caliber of photography. Well, that couldn't have been farther from the truth. She also said, ' it's just editing which is included in your package.' Also, our photo album was to be included in the contract which it clearly states.
In less than a week, Tina handed over the sloppiest video and photos that were so flat & had no JoVon look like she had promised. The video is shot only showing the brides face during the wedding ceremony - no shot of the husband. And clips at the end were just the same clips from the beginning. No fades or anything to make it a wedding video done by a so-called professional. After complaining about the quality of the photos, she edited some but she put a blue mohawk on my bald husband's head. We were so disgusted by her editing that we told her to just stop editing and that we just wanted the album which was included in our contract. She completely missed the sunset shot too - and it was a beautiful summer evening.
She ended up trying to charge us over $500 for the album & edits ( she proceeded to do without us wanting them) which we did not agree to. So, we asked for the original photos. She no longer had them and was offering us the jpegs. However, jpegs are useless and no one can use them to format for any photo album which is very misleading & wrong as a professional to do that to a paying customer.
At the very least, Tina could have apologized for her nasty demeanor at our wedding - which our guests still comment about to this day. Oh and she kept eating and drinking during cocktail hour plus throughout the night. She also left the wedding early.
We have had to get a lawyer to resolve the matter and now she is not answering their calls so this matter is going to court. Tina Dalgish is the worst photographer & we hope this review saves anyone else from her horrible 'work'.
I can not say enough about Tina Dalgish Photography. My pictures from the event are gorgeous. I never knew I could look that good!!! During the party you didn't even know she and her assistant were there. But she captured everything that evening. During the portrait session, she was extremely patient with my very large and sometimes moody family. During the process of choosing the right photos fro the albums and frames, again so helpful. She was even able to photoshop stray hairs, etc from photos. I highly recommend Tina and will definitely be using her for all my upcoming family events. Thank you Tina!!!!!
I don't even know where to begin. My husband and I were blown away by Tina's work. She is so creative and she just makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed which shows in the pictures . She made our special day even more special. She captured our day to perfection. If you are looking for a wedding photographer look no further go with Tina Dalgish Photography!
As mother of the groom suggestions were not easy to give or easily accepted but after getting a great recommendation from a friend I boldly suggested Tina to my son and daughter in law! To make it short she was AMAZING! The entire process from engagement pictures to the wave good bye photo at the wedding went so smoothly. My daughter in law loved working with Tina who came with great ideas for different photos ideas with the couple, the bridal party and the entire family. We look forward to using Tina again for future weddings and even just a family photo shoot. Trust me from a mother-in-law who WAS walking on thin ice... you will NOT be disappointed !!!!
This woman is clearly such an artist. We interviewed several photographers but as soon as we met Tina, we knew it was about more than just the gig. Not only is she super-experienced, she seemed to care about every photo that she showed us from past shoots. Yes, she was a little bit more than some of the others but we really wanted our pictures to last a lifetime and reflect who we are as a couple and as a family. Well the day came and Tina was so calm and so prepared, we instantly felt relieved. She took a gazillion pictures and captured moments that I didn't even know happened. On top of that, the pictures were beautiful, just gorgeous. I can not recommend her enough. Since our wedding, my sister, my bff, my sister-in-law have all used Tina to photograph their weddings. It's completely worth it and Tina is a pleasure to work with. Very highly recommended.
We recently received our album and absolutely love it! Tina was a pleasure to work with from the start and offered us creative ideas for telling the story of our wedding day. Highly recommend!
I am writing this review over 2 years after I was married, 10/12/14, simply because I was ACCUSED by Tina Dalgish of writing the below negative review AND she requested that I remove it. While I was dissatisfied with my wedding pictures, due to poor lighting and shabby work by Tina, I honestly was too busy enjoying my marriage and living life to worry about this. It wasn't until I was contacted by Tina on 11/06/16, where she e-mailed me and I quote, "I knew immediately who wrote it, even though it was not signed." She proceeded to try to convince me again why she believed her pictures were of decent quality, when in fact, they were not! She then requested that I contact The Knot to have the below negative review removed, as it would "save us a lot of time and heartache". I replied to Tina advising that I had no clue what she was referring to. She didn't just let it go at that time, she had the nerve to reply and say, "In my communications with The Knot, although they did not confirm that the review came through your membership, they did not deny...which let me believe that I was correct in my assumption." I couldn't believe it! I contacted The Knot myself to try to resolve this. They confirmed that in fact it was NOT I who wrote the below negative review but they couldn't give Tina the information because the member requested to be anonymous. I forwarded The Knot's response to Tina as she assured me I was her only dissatisfied client in years...of course, it's been crickets from her since. Not an apology, not a response...nothing! Which doesn't surprise me as I received absolutely nothing from Tina when I expressed my disappointment regarding my pictures. We paid over $6000 to Tina and were very sad and heartbroken that we received a handful of good photos. I had expressed concern that quite possibly something had happened to the camera as I was totally shocked at how terrible our reception photos came out. They were blurry and out of focus. I got married on the golf course and in some pictures it is pitch black behind us, losing the scenery. I expressed my disappointment to Tina and she offered to "reprint" my negatives and blamed it on the lab. Which came back a little better because she had "lightened" them but they looked "lightened"! Some of our pictures looked like they were taken with a regular 35mm camera. Our friends and family captured some beautiful pictures and Tina sent me 3 beautiful pictures just a few weeks after my wedding. I couldn't wait to see my pictures from the most wonderful day of my life! I'm sure you can understand and imagine just how heartbroken I was when I realized those were my 3 best photos...Once again after months of agony going back & forth with Tina where she would not take any fault in her shabby work, I succumbed to the fact that there was nothing I could do. The day was over and I was thankful that I had a wonderful husband and that my memories were captured by friends and family. That is of course until 11/6/16 when Tina contacted me to accuse me of writing the below negative comment, which is why I took the time out to write this review. It is a shame that this is how she handled this situation. It was VERY unprofessional and really put a sour taste in my mouth. Sadly, Tina was recommended by my brother, who hired her for his wedding 10 years earlier...and this is how she treated a referral. Shame, Shame, Shame! VERY poor business manners. Best Wishes To All Getting Married!
Tina is an excellent photographer. She and her assistants bring a masterfully artistic touch to their practice that meshes seamlessly with the timeline of the event and your own vision.
Tina and her staff were very attentive and creative in the ways they maximize every opportunity to capture the best of every moment. While Tina sees the big picture, she doesn't miss the beautiful details, and she finds ways to capture both. Our photos blended the timeline, the natural settings, the architecture with the personalities of everyone there. We loved every photo she took and had a difficult time choosing which ones to put in our album.
As a bride, it was a stressful day, but Tina made us feel completely comfortable. Our guests also commented that Tina mixed in so nicely with our guests that they didn't even know she was taking pictures. For the still shots, many of our guests ordered copies of themselves and they said "Tina took the best photos of us ever."
You can tell that Tina takes great joy in her work, and in truth, she was an important part of the way in which we will remember our wedding for decades.
