Family owned and operated, TKO, located Fenton, Missouri, is an award winning team of professional DJs and entertainers. We understand the stresses that are involved with planning such an important day in your life and we strive to make the experience run smoothly and effortlessly. When you choose TKO, you are acquiring a dedicated group who love what they do and they aim to deliver a premium level of service. Founded in 1984, TKO's business grew into the sustainable well-oiled machine it is today. The company now performs at over 750 events annually, a third of those coming in the form of weddings. As a long time award-winning team, we continue to hold the title of St. Louis’s most trusted DJ and entertainment professionals. We are a team who puts all our focus on making sure your wedding goes exactly as you have dreamed. TKO DJs will always project a professional image. All of our DJs are courteous, well groomed, and well dressed. We will always arrive at your event with plenty of time to have all of the equipment set up long before your guests arrive. Because we have a full time office staff, there will be a real person to answer your questions. You are always welcome to discuss your event with one of our event planners, who can assist you in all aspects of coordinating your event. On the day of your event, we have a manager on duty 24 hours a day, to make sure that everything is perfect. A manager will be on duty throughout your event to make sure that everything runs to schedule, letting you focus on enjoying your big day. We provide professional industry-leading sound equipment from sound and P/A systems to high-quality microphones. To get the party started, dance floor lighting and uplights can be set up so that your event will shine bright in long-lasting memory. During the speeches or intervals, if you or your guests would like to provide photos or videos, a video playback system can be arranged. All of our systems feature the latest in professional sound equipment, and come neatly enclosed in custom cases, hiding unsightly wires. All of our systems have backup equipment, and a manager is always available to correct any unforeseeable problems. We are the soundtrack to St. Louis and your big day!

we were stuck, and then he used all of the information gathered in our meeting to match us with the perfect DJ that fit our personalities/reception vibe. That’s what is so incredible about TKO - they really want couples to be matched with a DJ that fits their vision/personality! Scott also allowed us to make changes following the meeting and was so understanding and flexible with changes leading up to our day. On our wedding day, we had DJ Chris, who was the the absolute perfect match for us. Chris went above and beyond to make our reception so incredible and he exceeded our expectations - our guests have raved about how incredible the music and dance floor was at our wedding reception! He was extremely professional and kept our dance floor packed all night! Scott even came by our reception to check on us to make sure everything was going well - we were so impressed and amazed that he did this! We cannot recommend this DJ company enough! David, our DJ on our wedding day, was excellent. He was very professional, executed everything according to plan during the ceremony, cocktail hour, ...
and dinner, and kept the dance floor active (while making sure to play the songs we wanted). We wanted a low-key DJ and David was exactly that.
The planning process was at times frustrating. The online song-selection software that TKO uses feels very outdated, especially compared to Spotify. You can group songs into "do not play," "play if possible," and "must play," but you have to manually click save after selecting songs. Otherwise, all selections are deleted between sessions. We learned this lesson the hard way.
The song list available in the system is not extensive (again, especially compared to Spotify). Even for some popular bands, there were surprisingly few songs. It is also hard to know what songs are available: some songs show up in "most requested" or "best of [decade]" lists but then cannot be found when searching by artist or title.
In the end, they asked us to provide spreadsheets with our requests for each part of the evening, which we were happy to do but left us wondering what music they did and didn't have available.
We also hit some bumps making sure everything was correct in terms of our family and wedding party roles. The forms and templates don't really accommodate stepfamilies or non-gender-traditional wedding parties, so we had to go back and clarify those elements to make sure everything was accurate. (None of our other vendors ran into issues with this, so it took us by surprise.)
TKO was AMAZING with our wedding. Everybody was dancing the entire time and the DJ was fantastic with getting dance recommendations. The team was amazing from start to finish!

At the beginning of our reception we had a few issues. They skipped over the mother of the bride’s speech, played the wrong song for our first dance (until I said something), and didn’t even play our cake cutting song or the requested song to o...

We did say that they could play things aside from our playlist because our goal was to “keep the guests dancing”, but they were all slow songs. We also told them that guests could request songs but were told by guests that the DJ wasn’t taking requests. So, not a great first impression.. but after talking to them, the last few hours were all songs we requested and we had a great time. Seems like maybe it was just a communication issue with whatever information they were given prior to the wedding since a quick talk with them turned the night around. The DJ was very nice and fun.

He took the time to really understand what we were looking for in wedding day music and oh man, did the DJs deliver! The ceremony music was perfect and the entire dance floor was a party! Our specific DJs for the night were Will and Kendrick. They went absolutely above and beyond to keep the music upbeat, including a little rap solo along with "Congratulations" by Post Malone which was so much fun! They even played an extra song or two at the bride's request because we were not ready to be done for the evening yet! Of course, we wanted a DJ service that could provide proper audio/sound. Imagine how we felt when we learned that no one could hear our ceremony or personal vows! Our dinner dance had good audio, but the DJ was disengaged. He did nothing to get guests up dancing. My groom and I and our attendants had to repeatedly ask for uptempo music. They failed to announce details like the cake table, souvenirs, etc. Guests left earlier than we hoped so we had to have our sparkler exit early and missed time with family and friends we otherwise would have had.
When I contacted the owner, he said he’d look into the issues. He never called back. When I contacted him again to ask for a percentage refund so we could update our website with some of the unheard program, he declined. He never denied his company’s ineptitude nor did he apologize. Instead he offered us a discount on a future event! What a laugh! WE WOULD NEITHER USE NOR RECOMMEND TKO TO ANYONE!

There wasn't a worry when we had to switch our wedding day due to Covid. Scott got everything worked out in no time, and there weren't any problems with making a change.
TKO was the one to reach out to us a month prior to the wedding and set up a call to go over all the information for our weeding day. This meeting gave me so much confidence for the wedding day. Further, the DJ, Ryan, called us a few days before to introduce himself. This was great because we made last minute changes seamlessly. During the wedding itself, Ryan was great because he played exactly what we wanted and did not play anything we didn’t want. Additionally, he followed our wishes to only take requests from myself and my husband. We really appreciated these things! We had an incredible time! This means a lot to me: to have the passion and be willing to do something a little extra in order to ensure that it meets our expectations. They worked well with us and our coordinator in scheduling the reception. Their DJ executed the schedule seamlessly, and worked well onsite with our caterer and wedding coordinator. Most importantly, we loved all the songs they played, and the dance floor was busy ALL night. We definitely recommend TKO for any DJ / MC events.

How do you get people to dance during a wedding reception amidst a pandemic? I can’t tell you, but Brandon from TKO definitely knew how. He had people dancing the entire reception - the final song had pretty much every person on the dance floor...
, having a blast. Not only did he keep everything running on the dance floor, he adapted to get our older guests out there as well with, strangely enough, a German polka. Seriously, it worked wonders; everyone was having a great time. Before all of the dancing, he was the perfect master of ceremonies. His timing was perfect, and he handled every curveball that came up. My wife and I spent a looooong time picking out songs for our reception, because we didn’t know how many we needed. At the end, Brandon gave a shout-out to us to say that we had picked out the vast majority of the songs played, and that just made all of the work we put into our lists absolutely worth it. We could not have asked for a better DJ.
Brandon’s performance, alone, deserves every 5-star rating; however, there is far more to TKO than just the day of. During the pandemic, when everything was changing and uncertain, Scott, our point of contact, made sure that everything was going to be okay. He worked with us when we had a vendor dropout, providing names and companies to help fill in for the missing vendor. We could not have asked for a better DJ company. TKO genuinely cared about our event, and they made sure that it was successful.
