Briana from To Have & To Hold was the superstar behind my flawless hair and makeup for my wedding and I could not be happier with her work. Briana did an AMAZING job with hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party! Briana has done my hair for years so there was no doubt I'd use her for my wedding. I'd never done airbrush makeup and it can't out beautifully. I seriously have never felt more beautiful. Ever. She did my bridal party's hair and makeup beautifully as well. She is such a kind soul and wants you to look your best on your special day.

Wow! Where do I even begin? Briana was so flexible in the middle of a pandemic and made sure my bridal party was taken care of. I cannot get over how well she did my makeup (being darker skinned, this is sometimes an issue) and how quickly she was able to adapt to my wedding day hair style change - clip-in extensions included! She was extremely professional and went with the flow on the day of my elopement (that was planned in 3 weeks, thanks COVID!). I can't wait to have her services again next year for the big reception party!

Briana was amazing to work with! Trying to plan an altered version of our wedding was very stressful but she was so flexible with every change we had to make. She was able to do a trial with me the day before our wedding which meant I had gorgeous hair and makeup for our rehearsal dinner! We had a few add-ons at the last minute but she very easily worked everything into the day of schedule. I found her pricing extremely reasonable and she was very professional and calming throughout my trial and wedding day. I highly recommend using To Have and To hold on your wedding day!

Briana was great to work with for my wedding. The trial was super helpful and I love that she did a couple of different styles for me so I could be sure of my decision in the updo. On the day of we had a little snafu with not having cell service at our site so we were running a little behind, but she was able to switch the order of people up so I could get done in time for my first look. I felt so beautiful with the makeup and hair done!

Briana was AMAZING. I found her via The Knot, and am beyond happy to have used her :) I am not one for dramatic makeup, and Briana was so awesome during the trial/leading up to the day-of. And on the day of - she was the best person to have around! The most calming and complimentary person who really cares about what she does - and does it so well! She made my already stunning bridal party even more beautiful, and made sure everyone felt very comfortable. Her pricing is extremely reasonable, and she was so lovely when we had a few add-ons of lashes/air-brush on the wedding day. Everyone should use To Have and To Hold on their wedding day - you will be so happy you did!

First of all, Briana is the sweetest person ever. She is so very talented with both hair and make-up. On my wedding day I actually had a bruised/swollen nose from possibly breaking it the night before. She was able to cover it all up to the point that no one even noticed! It was truly amazing. Briana executed my hair exactly the way I wanted. All my bridesmaids that she did all looked beautiful. I am more than happy that she was the one to do my make-up on such a special and important day. She truly made me feel beautiful that day.

Briana did an amazing job styling us all for my wedding day. My mom, my grandmother, my bridesmaids, and I all got our hair and makeup done by her, and she was phenomenal. She gave us all the perfect natural look I wanted and made sure that we each felt 100% satisfied with our look prior to the start of the ceremony. Briana was very easy to work with. She responded to emails quickly and with grace and kindness. She is extremely talented, and I would highly recommend booking Briana to make you look absolutely gorgeous on your wedding day!

Our hair and makeup turned out beautiful and this salon was very reasonably priced compared to the competition. I took off one star because there was lack of communication about the hair stylist availability for hair trials. I booked them in March and got married the end of September of this year. At the time of the booking I didn't know how I wanted to do my hair yet so I said I would get back to her in a couple months about a trial. I contacted her the beginning of July asking about making an appointment. I hear back the end of July and learned the only day she was available was the day before my wedding (which was not an option for me) because she comes in from out of town. It would have been good to know this much earlier. Anyway, my hair turned it great and everyone else's makeup and hair looked beautiful. I would still recommend them despite the hiccup with the trial!

I am so happy with how my hair and make up turned out on my wedding day! I felt so relaxed the morning of my wedding and everything went so smoothly with Briana and her assistant with helping get my bridal party and flower girls ready for the wedding. It was so special that Briana was able to do my nieces' hair ( 4 and 6 years old) and also put lipgloss on them :) They were so excited! It was really nice to see the ease at which Briana could even work the youngsters who can't sit still very long :) My was so happy with my wedding photos and my hair and make-up even lasted until the end of the night at the after party in downtown SLO!

I am so glad someone from church referred me to Bri -- she did a FABULOUS job on my hair for both my trial AND my wedding day! Last minute I decided to incorporate some extensions into my look, and Bri used them flawlessly to create a dreamy look for my wedding hair. The airbrush makeup was perfect too! I felt beautiful ALL day and I got so many compliments on the look. I would recommend her to any of my friends or family that are getting married! She is a gem!

I booked Briana for my upcoming wedding on August 19th in Paso Robles. Everything was going great until after I went down and had my hair and makeup trial. I let Briana know that I needed to be camera ready by 3:45 and I thought we are good to go. About a week ago (three weeks before my wedding day) she emailed me the itinerary for the day and also told me that she had another event that afternoon (a gala) and that she would need to leave Paso Robles no later than 2:30. My ceremony doesn't even start until 5pm- no way did I want my hair done at 2:30. Additionally, she was going to start my bridesmaids hair at 11am. The first girl would have to sit with her hair done for five hours before the ceremony even began! I am very disappointed that I wasn't told, upon booking, that she would be working with a limited time that day and that my services would need to be performed early in the day. She did offer to bring in a second stylist that could stay later, but by this time I was very unhappy with how things had been handled and I wasn't confident that things would run smoothly on my wedding day. I feel that when you hire a vendor for your wedding day, you hire them for the day and since you are the customer, they should work around your schedule as best as possible. Any time constraints should be addressed upon booking. I decided to cancel my services for my wedding and go with another stylists. I still have not received my deposit back... :(

Briana did my hair and makeup for the wedding and I couldn't have loved it any more - it was absolutely perfect and I loved everything about it! It was better than I could have hoped for. Since my bridesmaids, mother, etc. were also getting their hair and makeup done, she had an assistant with her to help. Although I loved everything Briana did, I was not a fan of the assistants work, nor were the others who had their hair and/or makeup done by her. She made everyone's makeup look kind of scary and way older (and not in a good way) than they actually are. I would 100% choose Briana again, but would love to have input on the assistant that comes along.

My bridal party, my mom and husband's mom, and I got our hair and makeup done by Briana and her assistant, Rachel. Both ladies were so sweet and did an absolutely phenomenal job getting us ready for the wedding. They were able to look at pictures of hair and makeup and perfectly replicate the look we were hoping for. If someone didn't like something, they fixed it. I got airbrush makeup for the first time, and I have never felt more beautiful. I do not usually wear makeup, so I was a little worried. However, Briana was able to make me look and feel like myself, while also erasing any signs of wrinkles/skin flaws and making me feel a bit like a celebrity. Briana's salon is absolutely adorable, and she allowed us to bring snacks and drinks into the salon to enjoy as we got ready. There were 7 of us, so it did take a while to get everyone camera ready. However, we really enjoyed spending some quality time together, snacking, and getting to know Briana and Rachel. I bought gift cards for all of my bridesmaids and both moms for Christmas. Briana packaged them up adorably and mailed them to me, so that I could send them to my girls. My bridesmaids and moms really appreciated the gesture, and we were all able to afford services as a result. Gift cards make great bridal party gifts! :) I would highly recommend To Have & To Hold to everyone! P.s. Briana also sells beautiful bridal party robes if you're looking for more gift ideas! :) P.p.s. On a side note, Briana also washed and blew out my hair before my rehearsal dinner, and my hair has seriously never felt softer. Even now, a week later, my hair still feels amazing! She's a miracle worker! :)

Briana is SUPER talented and worked absolute magic. She and her assistants managed to do hair and make up for both moms, flower girls, and bridesmaids... AND myself... all in one morning. The schedule was tight but Briana didn't stress me out about it at all, she made it work, and the end result was stunning. Briana did my hair for my wedding and I absolutely loved it! I had my trial with her and I wasn't 100% sure with the style I choose but when it was the day of and I showed her the picture of the hair I wanted, she had my hair exactly like that picture! All of my bridesmaids and my mom had their hair done and loved it! She can do any hairstyle by just looking at a picture! It was amazing! She is so sweet and warm and makes it so nice to have her around the morning of your wedding! I highly recommend her!

Briana did make-up and hair for me and my bridal party -- and she was absolutely amazing! Her studio in downtown SLO is the perfect spot to get ready and we brought snacks and champagne to make it homey. I was SO pleased with my make-up and hair -- I would recommend Briana to any bride!!

I had Briana (owner) do my makeup and my bridal party's makeup for my wedding last month. My trial went well and Briana was easy to work with. She was willing to make adjustments and try a few different looks for me. She had my contract at the trial and I noticed some adjustments that needed to be made and I watch her write the updates on the form. However, after a couple weeks of asking for the official invoice with details and timelines the contract was still incorrect. After a few more emails we finally got that figured out and then she informs my that she has to leave early on the day of my wedding due to her daughter's soccer game and that she will have an assistant there to finish up the rest of the bridal party. This was okay, but was a little last minute so I was concerned. When I got the updated invoice it showed a travel fee of $150 for her and then another $150 for her assistant. The venue was less than 10 miles from her shop and the contract that I signed said that the deposit I paid would be for my day of makeup and the travel fee. This was extremely frustrating, but I finally got her to remove the assistants travel fee. On the day of the wedding, execution of everyone's make up was beautiful. However, once Briana left her assistant finished up my last bridesmaid and said she was done...I still needed the mother of the groom's makeup done. The assistant looked a little freaked out and said she had another appointment that she needed to get to but finally decided to stay and finish everyone up and do touch ups. Needless to say it was a little tense.

Briana was such a doll to work with. I live in Orange County so the first time I met her was at my hair/makeup trial. Her studio is so cute and welcoming. I brought pictures and ideas of how I wanted my hair and makeup to look. She did a phenomenal job. But after a few weeks, I decided to change up my WHOLE look. I would email her weekly with sending her pictures asking her questions and she was so amazing with responding and making me feel comfortable. I actually didn't pick my look until the morning of my wedding! Briana and her assistant Rachel were so flexible and wonderful to work with. Briana did airbrush makeup for myself, bridesmaids, and my mom. She did an AMAZING job. If you are a bride or a bridesmaid, definitely do airbrush. It lasted all day and night. Now for my hair, if you want any braids or fishtails Rachel is the girl to go to. I thought I wanted my hair down and curled but like I mentioned above, the morning of I decided to totally change my look and do a messy fishtail. Rachel rocked it. I would highly recommend To Have & To Hold for your hair and makeup.

Brianna was great! Such a sweet woman. She was very easy to work with, accommodating, and did a great job on my hair and makeup. Her salon in downtown SLO is also very cute. I had 6 bridesmaids and her and her assistant were able to handle us all between the two of them. Would definitely recommend.

Briana was absolutely wonderful. I adore her sweet boutique! Ginger was a doll helping to plate our snacks we brought on their lovely dishes they provided. She fit right into our group of 7 complimenting us all on how great we looked. I could not have imagined my hair and make-up turning out more perfect! Briana took our wonderful trial and blew me away with the exact vision I had. I loved the airbrush make up. It was light and lasted all day and night! My mom loved her hair and makeup done by Briana! Briana is awesome. She made me feel comfortable and important. She works to make you to look exactly how you want to look on your big day. I absolutely loved the makeup at my trial and surprisingly thought that it turned out even better on my wedding day. She also did some of my bridesmaids, as well as my mom's makeup and everyone was pleased. She is quick and efficient and got us all done on time for pictures. The airbrush makeup also lasted all night which was something I was concerned about. I would recommend her to anyone!

Briana was very easy to work with and easy to get ahold of. I was an out of town bride, but she was easy to communicate with via email. I am not used to wearing make up and wanted more of a natural look. She listened and changed the colors as needed to accommodate my style.

Briana Gros is a true artist! With her makeup skills she made me look absolutely beautiful on my wedding day, and to convince you of how great she is, I will tell you my short story....I got only 2 hours of sleep the night before my wedding, and I was not feeling and looking so good. Yes, I was pretty anxious and nervous about my big day. Understandably so! Yet, after only 5 minutes with Bri my nervousness began to subside. Bri's calm, friendly, professional, and positive demeanor helped me relax. Throughout the session, Bri would ask me how I liked what she did so far, and if there were any changes that I would like. This told me that she was professional, experienced, and had great customer service skills. Once Bri completed her work and I did my first look in the mirror, I could not believe how beautiful I was. I mean, seriously! I went from having bags under my eyes, uneven skin tone, and a few zits--to looking naturally flawless with just the right amount of bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner (to accent the eyes), and flushed rose lips. I felt like I was actress just about to go on a movie set. With this being said, I highly recommend seeing Bri for any important occasion that you might have coming up. She gave me the confidence that I needed for my wedding day and I know she will do the same for you! She books up quickly so try to get an appointment asap!
