He ensured he understood our vision of how we wanted to the day to look, and he asked thoughtful questions to ensure our vision came to life. Phil also reassured us through the process, as wedding planning can be scary and stressful. He really made sure we felt comfortable and confident in every decision we made with him. On the day of, he came prepared and ready to celebrate! Phil even brought a video screen along, even though we did not have it as a part of our wedding package, which was such a wonderful surprise. The ceremony flowed seamlessly, and he followed our plan to a t. When it was time to dance, he kept the dancefloor packed, and I cannot count the number of people who shared compliments on his mixing abilities! Aside from his professionalism and talent, Phil is a genuinely nice person! You can tell he loves what he does, and he truly enjoys making every wedding he works special. By far, Phil was one of the best hires we made for our wedding, and we truly appreciate all he did for us to make our big day so amazing!

After our initial intake call, he sent us a Timeline through Google Docs, which walked us through exactly what the expectations were and what kinds of music/how much music we would need for each portion of the event. A few weeks before the big day, we had an in-person meeting at his studio (which is amazing!) to review all the details and make sure everything was good to go. On the actual wedding day, Phil was timely, efficient, and brought the good vibes all night long. I did a special choreographed dance with my dad and one with my bridesmaids, which Phil helped integrate into the night perfectly. He did a great job of using our preferred songs, while also allowing guests an opportunity to request songs throughout the night. We received lots of compliments on how perfectly each song transitioned from one to the next and on how neat it was that he played the music video for each song on the front of his stand - which was a fun surprise for us too! In addition, we utilized his up-lights, which synced to the music and heightened the energy and overall aesthetic of the dance floor. We would highly recommend using Toad Event Services (specifically DJ Phil if you can request him) because we had an amazing experience from start to finish!

He also managed the timing of our parent dances perfectly so that everything flowed seamlessly, allowing us to stay fully present. One of the standout moments of the night was my second dress reveal. Ryan completely hyped up the energy and gave me a moment that felt like a movie! Just when we thought he couldn’t top himself, Ryan surprised us during the reception with a video montage he had somehow captured while DJing. We were blown away. It’s one of our most cherished memories and a testament to how much he truly goes above and beyond for his couples. We couldn’t be more grateful! Thank you Ryan!

Specifically: - Phil was super flexible and open-minded when we wanted/needed last-minute changes, including shuffling around the schedule, truncating first dance/parent dance songs on the fly, and even dropping in last-minute songs mid-reception that mixed and flowed seamlessly into our existing song selections. We know none of that is easy, but he sure made it seem that way! - We asked for a private final dance at the end of the night, while the guests were all outside getting ready for our big send-off. Phil not only accommodated, but also took some fantastic pics for us during our private song, which is outside of his job responsibilities, but he went ahead and knocked it out of the park anyway. - We're hearing that a well-intentioned but drunken friend may have tried to commandeer a mic to make a toast, but for Phil's stalwart gatekeeping. It's impossible to overstate how much we appreciate Phil for that intervention. - Finally, Phil's mixes and song selections were on point, which is definitely an art. It's a true credit to his ability to read a room and fill it appropriately. We got tons of compliments on music selection, volume, and presentation.

DJ Phil was professional, amazing to work with, and had a great planning process to make sure all our special moments were captured with the right song, and that we would be happy with the playlist at each stage of the evening. We got to dance all night and had the dance floor filled all the way until the very end! I also so appreciate that he took time to teach those giving toasts how to properly use the microphone, so everyone could hear the speeches. The speeches were something I have been looking forward to, so I really appreciate that he took this extra level of service to make sure the sound quality was great!
