Did so great! They even had left over decorations that we could use. They did the set up and take down of everything. The bridal suite was fun to get ready in. Our guests enjoyed b...
eing able to play mini golf.
We were so impressed with the staff on the day of the wedding. Allison is a great event planner and really knows what she was doing. There was a huge golf event the day of our wedd...
ing and the flip time between events was minimal. But when I walked into our reception, everything was PERFECT!!! It was so amazing to have the ceremony and the reception at the same location because it gave our guests ample time to mingle and have a good time playing mini golf and kick back between events. We recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful location with an outdoor ceremony.
Just a note to tell you again, how much we appreciated all your assistance the day of Alyssa and John’s wedding. From reassuring us that a window of clear weather would allow us t...
o have the ceremony outside (and you were right) to the set up and the assistance with the tear down, you and your staff were awesome. With so many things going on, you were always smiling, reassuring, calm and helpful. We couldn’t believe it when we saw your brother hanging Chinese Lantern, a lifelong wish, during amazing winds and drizzle. The pergola and pond made a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony as the sun came out for the wedding.
Thanks for accommodating our wishes…the toast with the guests prior to the new bride and groom leaving the pergola, to the bride and groom driving away in the golf cart, to accommodating our decorations both inside and out.
Social time on the patio worked well with appetizers and refreshments, while guests enjoyed taking advantage of time for mini golf.
The reception was spacious enough for 145 guests to mingle and dance all night!, yet gave us the cozy feel we wanted. You again gave us the feel we wanted by climbing on the chair to put the disco lights in the ceiling above the dance floor while we all watched!
Thank you… to you and your staff. We highly recommend your venue for this most important day.
Beautiful grounds and wedding & reception space. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Couldn't have been happier with our wedding experience at Toad Valley.
Our experience at Toad Valley Golf Course was amazing. Emily and I truly would not change a thing about our selection. It's rare that a man would write a review on "The Knot", but ...
having been an event planner for a living, I understand what it takes to have a great event experience...Allison nails it.
Emily and I chose to have all of our events at Toad Valley: Rehearsal, Rehearsal Dinner, Day of Wedding prep (makeup, hair, etc), Wedding Ceremony, Reception, and day after gift opening and brunch. To say it was perfect would not be far fetched.
From our initial meeting with Allison, to the last morsel of food being eaten and cars loaded the day after the wedding, she was kind, considerate, and caring throughout the whole process.
Allison has a sense of humor...if you can't laugh at or choose not to laugh at stressful/busy situations, you should probably choose to go somewhere else (for her sake, not yours). She truly made our experience unique and special.
We are like most couples, on a budget. She never made us feel badly when we wanted/needed to talk about cost. She worked with us on options that would both meet our budget but also be great choices for our guests.
We found that their pricing was comparable to other venues for what you received (the length of time you had the venue, they provide the china, silverware, tables, linen, staff, etc. If we need something, Allison and/or her staff were always willing to follow through if possible.
Allison even featured us on her blog, we really did LOVE Toad Valley, and Emily is a "super cool" bride: http://www.toadvalleygolfcourse.com/?p=171666
We chose Toad Valley after meeting Allison, the events coordinator, and realizing just how exceptional their service is compared to cost. We were so happy with every aspect of usin...
g their facility for our wedding reception. From pre-reception planning to cleaning up after the event, their service was incredible! The food is SO AMAZING- served beautifully and tastes phenomenal! Our guests especially loved the table service for the children's meals- helped a lot of hungry little people have a great evening. I can't say enough good things about this place- it was the PERFECT setting for our big day!
I was MOH in my sisters wedding August of 2013. I was along for every step in her wedding planning process including the venue. From the very beginning Toad Valley was a nightmare!...
My sister was promised that her wedding would take place on an "island" they were working on building, which they never followed through with and kept telling her that construction was being delayed. So the day of the wedding stuck the wedding out on the green with no shade on a 100 degree day. Allison would go days without responding to emails/calls and when she finally did respond would do with short, snarky comments. The "catering" that was paid for was a joke, half of the food that was selected was never put out, including a $500 "ice cream bar" that we watched the staff bring out cartons of $3 store brand ice cream and emptied into bowls, within a half hour that station was taken down. The night before when we were decorating, we had rented the table cloths and centerpieces from them and the table cloths and runners were dirty and wrinkled, we had to clean and iron them before we were able to use them, and had to handwash each of the glass bowls for the centerpieces because they were cloudy and grimy. The day of the wedding was sweltering hot, we had paid for the mini golf course but because of the heat no one used it and were refused a refund, there had been specific requests for the placement of things around the reception area, because the space was not huge by any means it was important that everything be placed accordingly and these requests were not met because Allison felt they would be better placed otherwise. The night of the reception gifts, cards and even money from the purses belonging to the bridal party that were left in the bridal suite (located upstairs from the event) came up missing, as well as other items, cake cutting utensils, etc. When confronted about it Allison said that she had no control over her golfers and showed no remorse or offered nothing as a token of her apologies. A week later she called stating they had come across some items believing to be my sisters and wanted her to come and get them, in the box were 2 of the missing cards and cash amounting to what had been taken and claimed that someone had found the cash laying in the mens restroom. For the amount of money they charge for you to hold your event there, they should have outstanding customer service, but they acted as if the whole thing was a hassle and offered nothing in the way of trying to make the day go smoothly and were a rude and inconsiderate business to work with. You go into these things expecting to have the best day of your life only for it to be ruined by these people and their shady practices. I would recommend that NO ONE ever hold your event here! Save yourself the heartache and disappointment (as well as a whole lot of money) and hold your event elsewhere. Trust me, you will be glad you did!
We held our wedding reception at Toad Valley in June of 2011. Throughout the process Allison was extremely cold, short, and often delayed in her responses (I wished her cheerful Ha...
ppy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy Valentine's Day in emails with nothing but unfriendly, one sentence responses back not returning the well wishes) which should have been a red flag. It was like pulling teeth to get details and make arrangements, however I took it with a grain of salt because we all communicate and function on different levels. The actual event and days following changed everything. We were short 9 tables leaving guests forced to stand around awkwardly or sit out on the deck away from the party. The extra table cloths we had ordered for those tables we were promised were used for a wine party they double-booked without our permission; when confronted about this Allison claimed they just so happened to use/order the same colored table cloths from another vendor. I confirmed with the Chamber of Commerce committee they had not in fact ordered them, that Allison provided them with the tablecloths the day of free of charge. Food we asked for in our contract was not served and instead made it out to the double-booked wine party, the food we did get was cleaned up an hour before the party ended, there was no champagne toast as promised although they tried to charge us for it, and regardless of us expressing issues with all of this the night of Allison forced my mother-in-law a half hour before the party was over to close out her bill with a secured credit card. The following day when we confronted her via phone in a very calm and professional manner, her husband took the phone from her and screamed "You are destroying our lives" and hung up; they then tried to avoid us for a week. Allison eventually agreed to refund us the $500+ service fee as well as via email (which I still have) promised to refund us for the 9 table cloths they essentially stole as well as 9 floral centerpieces we couldn't use due to them shorting us 9 tables and never sent the check. After over a month I wrote a review on Yelp and they sicked lawyers on us. I communicated via email with the attorney for two weeks disputing Allison's new claims that they never promised us 20 tables nor could their facility ever be capable of holding that many people; I had emails, contracts, and direct screenshots off their website proving all this was false...the attorney stopped responding. Finally Allison herself fessed up, refunded us, and apologized claiming she had turned things around and regrets it all terribly. I found out yesterday a friend held her wedding there just this past year and had gifts, wallets, and cash stolen as well as similar services issues. Nothing has changed with Toad Valley or Allison; they continue with dishonest practices and terrible service. This is now the 4th bride I have heard this from. Please do not risk going through what we did with the lying, stealing, bullying, and scare tactics. Just hold your event elsewhere, that day is too precious.
I love Toad Valley! Allison is truly the Wizard of Fun. My day went so smoothly, I couldn't have asked for a nicer wedding.
I couldn't have asked for a better reception! Toad Valley Golf Course is beautiful, and incredibly reasonably priced. We were trying to stay on budget to do our wedding for around ...
$10,000, and Toad Valley helped us to do that! We got so many compliments on the food (we did buffet style, but it was delicious!) And Allison, the wedding coordinator, was a huge help. At times at the beginning of the planning process I'd get nervous when it would take her a couple days to get back to me, but it turned out that worry was all unfounded, because she is a professional who definitely knows what she's doing and took care of every last detail I wanted. We had a cocktail hour with a signature blue alcoholic punch for guests. We rented out their mini golf course there for guests to play free mini golf throughout the evening. And there was a great outdoor patio for guests to step out and cool off in between dances. Also, our DJ cancelled last minute, the week of the wedding, and Allison stepped in and found a FABULOUS replacement for us! Again, the staff was great, they handled all the set up for our linens and table decorations, and just did a fabulous job!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VENDER!!!! They were so good to us! Allison can be a little hard to get a hold of sometimes but over all she was so helpful during this whole process. We als...
o used ther catering service and we got the best feed back on our food. They were very accomidating on things we wanted to do and most importantly for me, being the bride, was she kept us on schedule and made sure that we got to do everything we wanted to. I highly recommend this vender

c and you can work on any budget. We did a pasta bar and various appetizers. Cost per person was about 25.00 a person including alcohol and food. Kegs ran 230.00 and we had 3 for about 180 people. The only downsize is that the room only holds 200 people so it would only work for smaller weddings. It was an overall great experience...everyone who came had a great time and the staff was great.

ing work. Everything had to be changed to accomodate the rain but they still made the wedding happen. They have a bridal suite where all of the girls got ready which was wonderful. There were little details that I would have changed but I am unsure if it was the venue that created those details or because of the rain. I would recommend someone to get married there in a heartbeat! It is a very pretty location and it is nice to be able to do both the ceremony and the reception in one place. Although the total cost of service is in the $5000+ category it could easily be done for less if you have a smaller wedding. We had around 200. They also set up and tear down everything which is very helpful unless you want to be in control of every little detail.

ny. Allison, their wedding coordinator was so helpful, and made sure every detail was perfect. She responded quickly to any questions I had throughout the entire planning process. Our friends and family felt right at home, and loved the food, and the opportunity to play mini-golf during the reception as well.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Toad Valley, and they were both beautiful! We had miniature golf for our guests to play after the ceremony and it turned out so cute! ...
The pictures of my husband and I in our tux and dress playing are adorable. All the guests said they LOVED it. The wedding coordinator Allison is so wonderful and down to earth to work with. Everything went perfectly because of her! She takes care of you like family and it really shows when you work with her!
I was recently married at Toad Valley. Our families toured Toad Valley before we booked it and talked extensively with the special events coordinator there, Allison. We fell in lov...
e with the venue. They were very flexible with what we wanted, a very good price for the area, and overall seemed like the venue of our dreams. We were wrong to an extent...it was still a very gorgeous place to be married and to have our reception, and still a good value, but we were disappointed with the service and attention we got throughout the process. Their coordinator was hard to reach and it would sometimes take her several days to respond to our questions. We weren't told until just six weeks before our wedding that we would have to work the rehearsal around another wedding the night before and that there would be a golf tournament there the morning of--both were fine, but I needed to work on my wedding day schedule and to be told we weren't allowed to decorate for the reception until 3 p.m. that day? we were perturbed we found out so last minute. We also were disappointed that we didn't sit down to plan our menu until less than two weeks before our wedding, I wouldn't have cared if it was two days before the wedding, but she didn't keep us informed and we felt like our event didn't warrant her attention. While their coordinator is very organized on paper--watch out, if you plan to have your wedding here, you will need to be a very needy bride and on top of asking questions and making sure you get answers when you need them. Our complaints of the day are that our wedding started late, this was Toad Valley's fault as they started seating guests late--this pushed back the time the ceremony got over and gave us less time for pictures before the reception. Also, they did not play our slideshow during dinner--something we had worked hard on and wanted to be able to share with family and friends. Our biggest complaint though, our lack of communication with the coordinator. I believe I would still recommend the venue to other brides, but with strong caution--be prepared to expect a busy coordinator who doesn't have time to respond to you and your questions.
