If you want simplicity, ToanVen Photography is the right place for you. I found Toan when I was looking for a photographer to do my daughter's photoshoot for modeling. Because of his excellent work, I knew I had found the photographer who would do my wedding if I ever got married. After getting engaged and planning the date, I contacted him immediately and booked him seven months in advance. I asked him for the best package, and he delivered exactly what I needed. From engagement photos to the wedding photos, everything was just perfect. Taon worked smoothly with our schedules and planned engagement for three locations in SFO. It was cold and windy, but he found the best spot for us to get the best shots. He helped suggest the best photoshoot location and was very helpful to me through it all. On our wedding day, him and his team worked cordially with my videographers to ensure everything went as he planned. He was punctual, honest, and straightforward with communication. After the wedding, we got the big album, an SD card with all the photos, including engagement, and a 32" X 40 canvas. I am beyond impressed with everything he did for us. My husband and I are very grateful.

It is hard to put in this box how incredible Toan and his team are. I found him through Instagram and knew I wanted him to capture our wedding weekend. From beginning to end Toan was professional, kind, accommodating, and listened to my wants. He was so easy to work with and has an infectious energy about him that allows you to feel comfortable during chaotic wedding times. He's great with direction, knows what will bring out the best in you, was quick in responsiveness prior to the wedding, and the pictures were probably the best I have ever seen. I wanted to feel the warmth, love, and vibrancy of those few hours and he did just that. I have told so many people about him in hopes of them being able to use his services one day. We hired Toan to do photos for both our wedding and our engagement shoot. Toan was incredible to work with, a real professional. Not only does he know how to take high quality photos, he is great at giving directions and helping you look your best and feel confident in your photos. We had a detailed timeline for our wedding day and Toan and his team were patient, professional, and easy to work with. Toan's advice and help when putting together our pre-ceremony timeline was invaluable, and helped make sure that we were able to capture all of the moments leading up to the wedding that we wanted. In the package we purchased, we received a beautiful and high quality photo album, a large canvas print of our favorite photo, and a USB with all of our wedding and engagement photos. Additionally, after the wedding and upon completing the selection process of our favorite photos, Toan worked very quickly to complete our final edited photos, which came out stunning. All in all, we really appreciated Toan and his team's hard work, and would recommend him to anyone that is looking for a high quality wedding photographer.

The Toanven team is absolutely amazing!! Communication is easy and they are very responsive. We went with Toanven Photography for both our engagement and wedding day photos and it was one of the best decisions we made! During our engagement photoshoot, we were so nervous at first. However, Toan’s directions were very clear and he helped make us feel so comfortable. It ended up being such a memorable and fun day for us! I usually struggle to look good in photos, but Toan made me feel and look beautiful. On our wedding day, I felt so relaxed because I knew the photos were going to turn out amazing. Photography was a huge priority for my wedding, so I did A LOT of research online and on Instagram to find a photographer whose style matched my own. My now husband and I spoke with Toan over facetime and I knew right away that he would be our choice! I could tell that his professional yet fun demeanor would work well with my camera-shy guy. And I was right! Toan and his partner, Hai, made all of us feel so comfortable. Prior to the wedding day, I sent Toan a document with all of my venue inspiration pics, shot lists, and other moments that we wanted to capture – there was a lot and I certainly wasn’t expecting to get everything. To my surprise, Toan made all my dreams come true and managed to fit everything I hoped for, even when we were running low on time. He gave us clear prompts to make sure everyone looked their best in the photos and mixed things up so we could have lots of options to look back on. His communication with his partner was excellent so that everything flowed smoothly and there were multiple perspectives – like for the first look, wedding party photos, and first dance. Most importantly, I trusted Toan wholeheartedly with his vision and his skill to execute that vision to perfection. His close-up shots were romantic and intimate. His wide-angle shots were majestic and grand. He worked with the natural lighting to create diverse works of art – giving us glowing sunset shots, dramatic portraits, and bright fairytale moments. After the wedding, our photos were ready to view in just 2 weeks! We’re currently going through our nearly 2k photos to select many for further retouching/editing. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Toan to all my friends, family, everyone! Everything about our experience with him was so professional, well thought out, and worth every penny. Our big day is over, but we’ll treasure these beautiful pictures forever!

Working with Toan and his team on our wedding day was such a fun and non-stressful experience! I first found Toan through my wedding venue's IG and saw that he shot at our venue quite frequently. We were amazed at his work and knew right there that we wanted him at our wedding! Wedding planning in itself is already a lot of work and Toan was so easy to work with and made us super comfortable throughout our whole wedding day. We surely do not know how to pose and him being very vocal about everything and with much enthusiasm was very much appreciated! I actually love it a lot that he told us how to pose for every shot and maybe some reminders cuz my mind be distracted the whole time and I forget lol! Also a big plus was that he was able to communicate to our families in Vietnamese when taking family photos. Toan was also able to get some good shots with our baby girl smiling :) Overall, we highly recommend Toan and his team! You won't be disappointed! What can we say other than Toan is absolute perfection! We booked Toan for both our engagement shoot and wedding day! From browsing on his website of his previous work, we knew instantly that he would be perfect! He was an absolute joy to work with and was very easy to communicate with as well. He made us at ease with our poses and every picture he captured made us look like naturals! At our Boulder Ridge wedding in late March 2023, we had the immense pleasure of working with Toan, and we cannot recommend him enough! We worked with Toan and team for both our engagement as well as wedding photos and it would be an understatement to say that the end result of both events far exceed any expectations that we had entering the wedding planning process. This is going to be very cheesy but I've been following Toanven photography for ages, ever since I saw them do wedding photos for one of my friends back in the days. I would always bug Toan by asking "when you gonna do my wedding photos?" He'd ask "when you getting married?" Then I always had to say "okay I'll let you know when that happens". So, finally I asked him like "hey I'm getting married, and I wanted to see if you were available to do my wedding photos?" He checked his calendar, and told me yes he was available !!! I was very happy and excited because I was able to get the photographer I wanted for my big day; and of course that he was available as well. I really loved the way he captured all the moments and he knew how to fix things if needed as well. I was able to get him for the whole day (8 hours), and it was a great experience. Honestly you cannot go wrong with him. I've been recommending others of my friends as well about Toanven Photography.

I saw Toan and his team at my sister's wedding and noticed their punctuality, professionalism, and passion as a photographer. I requested them for my wedding and so glad I did. My wife and I don't know much about posing for photos. Toan and his team respectfully giving us advices which made the photos looked very elegant and stylish. It was a great pleasure working with Toan and his team for our engagement and wedding photos. We were really awkward posing in front of the cameras, but Toan knew how to guide each of us and the whole group to make the best pictures. We had so many good ones that it was difficult to pick out the best! Our family members and friends were beyond happy when we share the album with them. Toan and team are absolutely amazing. He shot my brother's wedding years ago and ever since then, I knew that when it was my turn to get married, I wanted him to capture my wedding. My husband and I booked Toan for both our engagement and wedding and we could not be happier. For the engagement shoot - we're both pretty awkward but Toan worked with us, got us comfortable in front of the camera, and we got some beautiful shots. Once our wedding came around, it was like seeing an old friend again and being in front of the camera felt so natural. Toan really has an eye for photography and I am always so impressed when I see his work. I was nervous about booking the Japanese Friendship Garden in SJ because they drained the pond, but of course, the images came out beautifully. If you're looking for a photographer.. Toan was the best wedding photographer ever. He was very patient and gentle working with all of my wedding party and guests. The pictures turned out beautiful and everyone had a great time! All of my wedding party complimented Toan and his professional and interpersonal skills. He helped me, the bride, to feel at ease during all the stress of the wedding.

Toan and his team are amazing photographers and easy to work with! We had Toan shoot our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. He is very easy to communicate with, friendly, and always on time, if not - early :) Toan has a great eye and is very passionate about his work. My husband and I were nervous about our engagement photo session and not knowing how to pose. Toan made the engagement photo session fun and our 4 hour session went by very quickly! He was able to work with the difficult locations we chose, with the end of fall foliage and was able to capture amazing shots. He was also very patient with our request of getting photos with our dog. On our wedding day, Toan and his assistant were accommodating to our delays and our rushed wedding day schedule and helped make sure things would run as smooth and stress-free as possible. We were also amazed at the turnaround time for our photos, just 10 days after our wedding day! The photos look great, even before edits/retouching. Definitely recommend Toan and his team!

We hired Toanven photography to capture our big day/Chinese tea ceremony. He took more than 1300 pictures by himself for 8 hours for 3 locations. He is the best photographer and definitely worth the price. Toan is very professional and experienced. He guided us on how to pose and he knew the best angle and location to take the perfect pictures. He sent us all pictures back 1 week after our wedding. Strongly recommend him with no regrets !!!

Toan's passion for photography is very admirable and refreshing! We had Toan to capture our wedding in Carmel,CA(May'22). Let me start by Toan's effortless and seemingly effective detailing. In our first meeting, he explained all the steps and what expectations we can set. We loved the photographs and all the beautiful moments he captured. His photography reflects his unparalleled skills and enthusiasm. He has his way to capture kids, I loved my niece photographs(who's 3 years). It was such an amazing experience to work with him. Toan photography is the perfect choice to capture anyone's important day. Highly recommended to all who can afford! Years ago, I had the pleasure of working with Toan during a wedding in which I styled hair for the bride/bridesmaids. Toan and his crew left a lasting impression for their kindness, professionalism, and great photos. When I got engaged, I knew I would be reaching out to Toanven Group. I am so happy we went with them! Since Toanven is well established in the Bay Area, they also previously worked with our videographers. The two teams worked in harmony and made documenting our wedding day run so smoothly. I appreciated that Toan and his team communicated well throughout the day and ensured that we followed our timeline. Additionally, since my now husband and I are so awkward in front of the camera, having Toan and his team pose us, even in the slightest of details, ensured that we had great photos. We received proofs of our wedding photos just a mere two weeks after our wedding and we are so happy with the results.

My wife and I booked Toanven to shoot our wedding in Big Sur. Toan and Martin came to do the shoot. Both of them had a ton of photo ideas, and Toan especially knew exactly how to pose and direct everyone to get the best shots. When we were taking couples shots throughout the day, Toan was able to spot exactly where to go to get the best looking photos despite having never worked at our particular venue before. Lastly, as several others have mentioned, we got our photos (nearly 2000 of them) back incredibly quickly - less than two weeks after our wedding! Since our package also includes a number of retouched photos, we also have the opportunity to select some photos for additional editing. Overall super happy with Toan and his team, and would highly recommend booking them!

My husband and I worked with Toan 3 different times: our Vietnamese Đấm Hỏi (family engagement party), pre-wedding photoshoot, and our actual wedding day. Toan was fantastic on every occasion. His communication was superb from the very beginning. He was always clear on what we can expect from him and what he needs from us. We provided a list of specific shots that we wanted and Toan made sure to get them all. When dealing with our family members, he was always very polite and respectful, yet assertive when positioning people for large group photos. Very helpful that he speaks fluent Vietnamese and is very familiar with our traditions and customs (more familiar then we are actually). The photos themselves are also gorgeous. I’m really not a photogenic person but he always made me comfortable in front of the camera and helped position us the best way. Lighting and everything was never an issue. Toan also processed the photos much faster than we expected (raw photos from our wedding ready in a matter of days!). Overall Toan was one of the best choices, if not THE best, we made during wedding planning.

Hands down, the best photographer! Toan has given us a little peace of our wedding that my wife and I can cherish forever. When we first met him, he told us about himself to help us familiarize who he is and his work. It’s easy to feel shy around the camera but Toan prepared us and gave us the best advice to getting the best candid memories of us, our family and friends. On the day of our wedding, he only had great vibes and energy through out. I love that he made everyone feel comfortable and that we can be ourselves around him while still being professional. Every time we go back to our photos, it’s like we’re reliving the moment again and it’s all thanks to Toan!

We did both our engagement and wedding photos with Toan and Danny. Our engagement photos were taken on a foggy day in SF, whereas our wedding photos were on a sunny day in Pleasanton. Both set of engagement and wedding photos are stunning, unique and artistic. Needless to say, both my husband and I are thrilled with the results! We communicated with Toan through text, email and phone calls. He was very professional and always on time and responded in a timely manner. He’s also very passionate and dedicated to his work, as you can see from his photos. I highly recommend Toan and his team for wedding photography!

Toan was INCREDIBLE. he spent 12 hours with us on our wedding day and captured every moment that we wanted to remember. He confidently directed our large family and friends to take all the group photos and then helped just me and my husband look natural in countless different poses. He made it so that we didn’t have to think about those details on the day; we could trust we were in the best of hands. Toan was almost giddy with excitement as he found new places to photograph us in San Francisco. It was obvious he was a true artist and was passionate about his work, getting energy from curating the most magical of scenes. Our edited photos came back in just a few weeks. They were better than we could’ve dreamed. Too many great ones to choose from! And all throughout, Toan was a delight to work with. He listened to what we wanted, offered guidance where we needed it, and made the whole process a blast. Hiring Toan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.

Toan and his crew are hands down worth every penny. If you are reading this review, you don't have to read any further because he is worth it! However, if you continue to read, here are some highlights of what he and Hai did for us during our wedding day. We were lucky to meet Toan through our sister-in-law. Even before the wedding, Toan was good with coordinating with us on our schedule and was very quick and responsive to our needs. That gave us confidence that he will be reliable on the day of. Toan also gave us a heads up about our first look location and prevented potential disaster. Turns out the location we choose had parking constraints and that would have caused a lot of headaches so my wife and I were able to pivot locations. Talk about watching your back! On the day of, Toan arrived on time and was ready to roll right away. He and his crew picked out a good location to take our first look photos and gave us very good instructions on how to pose and smile. My wife and I are not good at taking photos so having him guide us was comforting. We also had a slight mishap with flowers being late so he moved the schedule around and had us take getting ready photos. This saved us a lot of time and we were able to get those and the photos with the flowers so that we did not have to miss anything. In addition, we requested other photos we liked to take and he was able to adjust and provide those for us. He was friendly, funny, and very chill to work with. Now let's get to the photos. Toan took amazing photos. I mean, the angles, the lighting, and using the background, this guy is a pro. He was able to take very stunning photos of my wife in her beautiful dress and of me and her together. The knew where to position us to get the best lighting and background. Our wedding was in November, after daylights savings, so it got dark fast after the ceremony. He was able to use his flash and technique to still get us some glowing photos. His focus on people was great too, there was a lot of things we couldn't see as we were so busy but they took nice photos of our guests and event so we were able to see what we missed. Toan worked well with our videographer Ron and made sure they didn't overstep each other. We had a surprise gift from a friend who sang a song while Toan was suppose to be eating but yet he came right away to take photos and did not miss a beat! Toan's attentiveness to detail, perfection, and his experience just makes him that much more worth it. I am so lucky we were able to find him because he is a gem. He worked with us through COVID and he was able to adjust to our needs all the way to the end. We were very comfortable with him and it made our photos very natural as we were relaxed and happy. He knows how to get people loose to let out their best quality. I highly recommend Toan and his team to anyone!

There's not enough good things to say about Toan! Right off the bat, I knew I wanted him as our photographer and he was actually one of the first vendors we booked shortly after we got engaged. I have been with my now husband for many, MANY years so when he finally popped the question, you better believe I had half of the wedding already planned in my head. Haha, jokes aside - we booked a package with Toan and had our engagement shoot in October of 2019. Both my husband and I are extremely awkward when it comes to taking posed picture with the focus mainly on us, but Toan and his team made it easy, fun, and enjoyable. He made us laugh the entire time and directed us in our poses. 2020 rolls around and well ...... 2020. We ended up postponing our October 2020 wedding to October 2021. As soon as things started to get better and the world started heading towards the direction of a new normal, the wedding industry became extremely saturated with postponed events and newly engaged couples. Even through this, Toan was super responsive anytime we had questions - replying back within a mere couple of hours. I cannot stress the importance of his communication and how responsive he was - it made all the difference in the world and we never felt like we had to continue to follow up or chase for answers because he was always there to answer them whenever we needed. The long awaited day of the wedding finally comes around and Toan arrives with 2 additional photographers. From morning until night, Toan and his team worked together to capture every single aspect of our wedding day. We got the pictures at the end of October approximately 2 weeks after our wedding and are in love with each and every one of the pictures. Every moment, every motion, every detail was captured so beautifully. My husband and I keep saying how we want to relive the best day of our lives and with the pictures taken by Toan and his team, we are able to. Thank you so much, Toan + team!!

Booking Toanven Photography was the best decision we made for our wedding celebrations. We booked Toan for our engagement photos and our wedding day. Our engagement session was super fun and our wedding day was even better. Toan is the ultimate professional and helped make our wedding day so fun and easy. He made us comfortable in front of the camera, fixed our posture and blown-out-of-place bangs, corralled our chaotic family members and friends, made thoughtful suggestions all day, and helped to keep us and our timeline on track. He brought along 2 extra shooters on our wedding day to capture all our memories. Our guests and vendors loved him! Before the wedding, I sent Toan some example shots of locations I liked around the venue. Boy, did he understand the assignment! His photos turned out even more impressive than the examples. He and his team shot a wide range of different poses in each location and more. I don't know how they captured such unique angles, but I'm so happy they did! We got sneak peeks a couple days after the wedding and we got our pictures back 2 weeks after that. Super fast! Note, these are the original images, we were able to choose photos for editing/retouching from there. We were blown away by how our wedding photos came out. He captured the moments, the details, and the emotions perfectly. The venue seemed to look and photograph better on the day of our wedding, than on the day that we booked the venue! His photography is stunning, timeless, and romantic. We've gotten so many compliments from our friends and family and can't wait to hang our wedding photos up in our home. If you want an awesome photographer who is easy and fun to work with, book Toan! We are so happy he was our wedding photographer.

I don't even know where to begin... Toan and his team were AMAZING! Toan was super responsive and easy to talk to from beginning until the end. Toan responded to all of our questions within hours. Pricing is very reasonable, and everything was clearly displayed in his package deals. Toan was kind enough to hop on a phone call to answer all of our questions before booking. We booked Toan and his assistant for 12 hours -- which included Vietnamese tea ceremony, Chinese tea ceremony, Western ceremony, and reception. My husband and I were almost clueless on how tea ceremonies work... THANK GOODNESS for Toan guiding us and our family throughout the process. He was basically our photographer/Asian wedding coordinator. Toan was very directive and vocal (which we truly appreciate due to our lack of knowledge of how tea ceremonies and weddings work). He is definitely open to suggestions and ideas, but like the previous review, we're more laid back and will take any directions from the professional. Toan made us feel very comfortable and we FULLY trust his professional opinion. Toan is VERY detail oriented and words cannot describe how passionate this guy with photography. Toan shot over 2000 photos and each one of them were amazing! We were able to see the pics and choose the ones that can be edited about 2 weeks after the wedding. Everyone that I showed the pics to thought those were the edited pics, but they're actually all unedited. I cannot imagine how beautiful and magical the edited pics will be. We HIGHLY recommend Toanven Group! My friends are already determined to hire Toan for their wedding after seeing my photos! We definitely want to work with Toanven Group again in the future!

Toan's team is amazing to work with. First, we got their 8 hour package and Toan was always very responsive and reassured that his team would do their best in giving us a day we will always be able to remember. His response time was always quick and he was accommodating. We were lucky enough to work with Trieu and Danny who are amazing photographers through and through. They would use whatever is in the environment to get a perfect still whether it be lively or dramatic. They taught us how to pose and really helped us ease into the day. Our wedding was at Stanford, and they were able to capture some amazing photos of us in the church. Our friends who married recently noticed how professional and great they were and commented that they wished they used this team for their own weddings. It was great working with them and I couldn't recommend them more for your special occasion.

Toan was amazing to work with for both our engagement and wedding shoot! He was really good at directing and guiding us and made us feel super comfortable (given neither of us had much experience posing for nice photos). We also really appreciated how soon he got back to us for the initial and final edits. A true professional with creative shots and just such a nice personal touch through the whole process. Toan and his team were photographers at my sisters wedding and ever since then I knew they were THE ONE for my wedding day. I booked them 2 years in advance just to ensure that they would be available. They will literally bend over backwards to capture every moment of your wedding day. I provided Toan a list of things I wanted captured and he not only got them but kept me on top of my list. My husband and I are so grateful to have Toan and his team be apart of our wedding. They are personable, professional, and extremely talented! They made us feel so comfortable that we felt as though they were our friends. Toan and his team will make you feel and look beautiful for all of your photos. Toan has been great since the day we booked him up until the day we receive our wedding photos. Our original wedding date had to be postponed due to Covid and Toan was very understanding and accommodating throughout our whole replanning process. On our wedding day, Toan and his co photographer Hai captured photos for both our morning tea ceremony and evening ceremony & reception. They knew the tea ceremony tradition pretty well and even helped guide us on what to do and how to position ourselves. Throughout the day, they were very helpful and patient with capturing many great photos with our huge family and they were great at directing everyone how to pose/position themselves for great photos. Toan was also very good with playing by ear and was able to accommodate any changes in our wedding schedule to make sure we had enough time to capture the photos we wanted such as sunset photos. This was very helpful to us especially on the day of our wedding when everything else seemed to be so hectic. Both Toan & Hai were very professional but they definitely knew how to make you feel comfortable at the same time. When we got our photos, we were pretty impressed with how the photos came out and were so happy to see photos that we never even thought of capturing. We are so happy that Toan & Hai were the ones to capture our wedding and we would highly recommend them.

Our engagement photo session was a little nerve wreaking and awkward to start with but Toan made it so much more comfortable and showed us step by step what we needed to do. Wedding planning was so stressful but the engagement photoshoot was one of our funniest memory. The photos turned out great! Unfortunately, we had to postponed our wedding due to the pandemic. Toan was very accommodating and responsive to all our emails. Fast forward to our wedding day, Toan and his partner were so on top of it. They went the extra mile to do what they can to help during all the hectic times. He kept us on schedule (kind of acted like our day of coordinator), helped us with our poses, and came up with so many great idea for our photos. My bridesmaid, family, and friends couldn’t stop complimenting how great of a photographer Toan was. He was patient and paid attention to the little details such as having my guest sweep their hair aside if it was in their face during photos to having them switch their face mask to a different hand so it would not ruin the photos. I hired Toan to take my engagement photos, and I am so grateful that I did! My fiance and I had professional photos taken once before, and they did not turn out well. I was definitely nervous going into the engagement photo shoot, but Toan immediately put both of us at ease. It felt like a close friend was taking our pictures; he was so fun and calming. I was stunned by Toan's photography on his online pages and were lucky enough to be able to book him for our COVID wedding. Tip: Your photos or video will be what is left of your wedding to relive the memories--invest in someone you can trust! Toan will not disappoint. He will retell your wedding through his photography and booking him for our photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Normally Toan would be fully booked so close to an event date, but due to COVID, we were fortunate that he had an opening. Toan is friendly, easy to get along with, and very confident in his work. He is prides himself in taking beautiful photos and his turnaround time goal is 1-2 weeks after the wedding!! I was so impressed by his portfolio and demeanor that we had to book him for our wedding. Come wedding day, Toan and his second shooter, Martin, were so professional. They made the day fun, took natural photos, and coached us on how to pose for some photos. We received a sneak peek photo a few days after our wedding and all I can say was that I was SPEECHLESS. I never thought that I could look so good in a photo, and Toan just knows how to use natural lighting or adjust lighting to create breathtaking photos. One week after our wedding, we received our photos. That is unheard of and the quality is breathtaking. Let me repeat that again-- 1 WEEK after our wedding we were able to have all of our photos without a watermark to download and share. We also received A LOT of photos. The amount of photos you get depends on the event and how long it is, but all of the photos we received were AMAZING processed photos. We now have the option to have him further edit 200 photos for us based on our package. We are also planning on ordering photobooks with him. The quality that we saw in his studio were incredible and felt very high quality. Although our wedding was socially distanced and guests had masks on. Toan was still able to take beautiful photos that we will be able to look back on and cherish for a lifetime. Do not skip out on a brilliant photographer, he is worth every penny for his talents and he has phenomenal customer service! All I can say is, if you book Toan for your wedding needs or any other event, you will not be disappointed!

Toan was the perfect choice as a photographer for our wedding. He came highly recommended from a close friend and videographer in the industry who works with many different Bay Area photographers. Toan was personable, available, and helpful from the beginning. He worked with my wife and I to find the perfect package within our budget. On our big day Toan was perfect. He worked through the constraints of a rainy day to make sure we got beautiful images. He was brilliant from start to finish. Professional, efficient, friendly, and most importantly took the most fabulous photographs of our wedding. At moments he and his team helped to keep the night moving smoothly, helping us navigate moving through our quest tables and making sure we got pictures with everyone. At other times, him and his team seemed invisible, poking out at opportune moments to take the perfect pic. He was quick to get the photos back to us and they turned out great!

Toan and his team are very professional- they reach out prior to your event so that you have realistic expectations and so that they have a clear understanding of what you want to capture and so everyone is on the same page and prepared before your big day. We were prepared to be on a strict schedule and Toan and his team were so good at getting our bridal party set in place and ready to take multiple pictures so that we have the a big variety of photos and poses to choose from at the end of the day. We booked Toan for our engagement shoot and wedding day coverage and it was the best decision we could’ve made for our wedding. He was the first vendor that we booked and we are so glad we decided to go with him. Here’s the breakdown. Engagement Shoot: Toan is very flexible and was willing to work with our schedule for the engagement shoot. We had to reschedule several time due to the weather and Toan was very understanding. On the day of the engagement shoot, Toan arrived early and ready to start working. He made us laugh and helped us feel more comfortable when taking pictures. He’s direct but respectful when instructing us on how to pose so that we can get the best photos. When we got the results, we were so amazed with his work. My husband says that Toan’s work has a “POP POP” quality to it. Toan got the photos back to us within a week and needless to say, we were very happy with the results. We were excited for him to take our wedding photos. Wedding Day: Prior to the wedding, Toan reached out to us to ask for our wedding day itinerary and gave us some suggestions on how to rearrange our schedule so that it would go more smoothly. We had the traditional Vietnamese/Chinese wedding which consisted of the Tea Ceremony, Church and Asian banquet. Our Tea Ceremony ran late so we only had about 30 minutes to take photos at the hotel before we had to leave for the ceremony. We were very bummed out that we couldn’t utilize the hotel more but Toan and his team did their best to capture as much as they could within the small window of time. During the reception, my husband and I were walking all over the place, either to say hi to our guests or getting a quick photo booth session in. Every time I turned to look, Toan was there ready to capture those candid moments. We definitely appreciate those candid shots as we were able to relive our wedding through those photos. We were concerned that the pictures wouldn’t turn out nice because we didn’t give Toan much to work with since our venue wasn’t at a vineyard or golf course or anything outdoors, but we were so pleasantly surprised when we received the photos. Toan and his team are just incredible at capturing the small details that makes us smile when we look at the photos. We had to narrow down the photos for our album and had such a hard time because there were so many amazing photos. We are beyond happy that we had Toan and his team capture our wedding. I asked my husband if he would hire Toan again and he said “100% yes” and it’s a YES from me too! Thank you, Toan, for working your magic on our wedding day! Hiring Toan and his team was one of the easiest decisions we made when it came to vendors. When we first met Toan, we just talked for an hour or so, getting to know each other and figuring out whether we can work with each other. I'm glad Toan took the time to really get to know us as I feel that is important when it comes to a wedding photographer. They are with you almost the entire day so it is important that you both feel comfortable with each other. I also appreciate Toan's honesty. From the beginning, he laid out what he needed from us in order to work together which I thought was great. Toan and my DOC worked together on the photo timeline so I didn't hear from him until a few days before the wedding. On the day of, Toan, Hai and Vi showed up on time and immediately got to work. They were all professional yet extremely friendly with everyone they interacted with that day. It felt like we were all friends hanging out with multiple cameras everywhere. Once we got to the venue, it was extremely warm in the bridal suite. Vi, who was one of Toan's assistants, started fanning me with random paper she found so I could stay cool. To me, that goes above and beyond expectations. I know at some points, I was being a bit bridezilla like (the stress is real okay), so it was nice that Toan was trying to keep me calm and collected throughout the day. In our initial conversation, Toan said him and his team work like ninjas and it is totally true. Once the reception got going, it's like they all dispersed and got so many great shots. Even during the ceremony, they were so quiet and quick and got a ton of shots of our guests. Now as we review our photos, it is so nice to see our wedding day from their perspective. We are so pleased with our photos. I literally cried tears of joy when I saw them. From the ones we saw so far, they are absolutely stunning. We're still going through all of them which we received in less than 2 WEEKS. I was so anxious to receive them so its amazing that we got them so quickly. Toan and his team are AMAZING. We had a great experience with Toan and his team for both the engagement photo session and the actual wedding day. Prior to the engagement photo session, Toan took the time to listen to our questions, and helped us select a nice location for the shoot. On our wedding day, Toan was very accommodating. He brought along two other team members to help take photos for us. The photos and edits turned out great. He also took some nice candid shots of our wedding party and guests.

The first time I came across the work of Toanven Photography was over a year ago. I remember looking at this one photo thinking "Wow, this photographer is really creative!" Little did I know that I would be hiring Toan to capture me and my husband's special day. For anyone reading this review considering this photographer for their next event, BOOK HIM!! Everything from start to finish was smooth sailing. Toan and his team were very responsive and willing to answer any questions I had. The day of the ceremony, Toan was very punctual and professional. I don't have much experience with photoshoots besides the occasional selfie, but having a random stranger take photos of you can get awkward at times. You don't know where to look, where to put your arm, and you forget how to act natural. The thing my husband and I really appreciated from Toan was his ability to guide us and make us feel comfortable. He communicated well throughout the shoot and was very direct and clear with instructions. During the ceremony, I didn't even acknowledge he was there because he moved so swiftly. The turnaround time for photos was also very fast! I got them while I was on my honeymoon. Toan did a wonderful job at capturing this perfect day for us, and I know we will cherish these photos forever! You will not be disappointed. HIRE HIM!! :)

Toan is a GENIUS! We cannot stop raving about how much we LOVE our wedding pictures! We are SOOO fortunate to have found him through our venue's social media account (thankfully). Prior to our selection, we interviewed three other photographers, Toan was the only one who we naturally felt the chemistry with plus he had the most knowledge about weddings. His personality is warm, professional, and inviting. In addition, he became a natural leader amongst our vendors on our big day. We definitely needed someone who kept us on schedule, knew our timeline inside/out, and had an incredible eye for creativity and perfection. On our big day, we had Toan's team of three, including Toan (himself). We specifically requested that he be there as we trusted his vision and creativity. If I remember correctly, I discovered Toan on Instagram about three years ago. Myself an aspiring photographer (or at the very least, a serious hobbyist), I was drawn to his compositions as well as the lifelike colors in his work. Not yet knowing a thing about him as a person, I knew I’d make a push to get him to shoot my wedding when my time came. So when we set a date for our wedding in April 2019, the first vendor I reached out to Toan, and lo and behold, he was available. From our first video call, Toan has shown to be someone who loves the art, who is highly professional and places his client’s wishes in the highest priority, and who has the fun personality you’d want in a friend. We had got the wedding package that included an engagement shoot. For that shoot, Toan was very helpful in suggesting locations to shoot at and accommodating when we had ideas of our own. Needless to say, we loved the results. The wedding was no different—Toan and his team showed up early, got all the typical shots one would expect for a wedding, and then went beyond that to let their creativity run free (which resulted in a lot of really great and unique shots.) In terms of turnaround time, Toan promised to get the pictures back to us in a surprisingly short amount of time, and then proceeded to deliver them to us even sooner. All in all, I couldn’t speak well enough of Toan and his wonderful team.

Toan and his team are amazing!!!! Communication was always easy and clear with Toan. He is very professional and acknowledgeable about different locations on where to take pictures. I asked him for suggestions and he would come back with various locations based on what i wanted! The day of my wedding, he got to work right away. Knew what to take pictures of and also directed our positions (how to stand, move your arm, move your head, lean back, arch back, relax shoulders, smile, etc). My husband is not a photo guy but Toan made it super easy for him to pose! We really enjoyed his time and service. The pictures were stunning!
