that we wanted him at our wedding! Wedding planning in itself is already a lot of work and Toan was so easy to work with and made us super comfortable throughout our whole wedding day. We surely do not know how to pose and him being very vocal about everything and with much enthusiasm was very much appreciated! I actually love it a lot that he told us how to pose for every shot and maybe some reminders cuz my mind be distracted the whole time and I forget lol! Also a big plus was that he was able to communicate to our families in Vietnamese when taking family photos. So, finally I asked him like "hey I'm getting married, and I wanted to see if you were available to do my wedding photos?" He checked his calendar, and told me yes he was available !!! I was very happy and excited because I was able to get the photographer I wanted for my big day; and of course that he was available as well. I really loved the way he captured all the moments and he knew how to fix things if needed as well. I was able to get him for the whole day (8 hours), and it was a great experience. Honestly you cannot go wrong with him. I've been recommending others of my friends as well about Toanven Photography.

Toan made the engagement photo session fun and our 4 hour session went by very quickly! He was able to work with the difficult locations we chose, with the end of fall foliage and was able to capture amazing shots. On our wedding day, Toan and his assistant were accommodating to our delays and our rushed wedding day schedule and helped make sure things would run as smooth and stress-free as possible. I would be reaching out to Toanven Group. I am so happy we went with them! Since Toanven is well established in the Bay Area, they also previously worked with our videographers. The two teams worked in harmony and made documenting our wedding day run so smoothly. I appreciated that Toan and his team communicated well throughout the day and ensured that we followed our timeline. Additionally, since my now husband and I are so awkward in front of the camera, having Toan and his team pose us, even in the slightest of details, ensured that we had great photos. We received proofs of our wedding photos just a mere two weeks after our wedding and we are so happy with the results.

Lastly, as several others have mentioned, we got our photos (nearly 2000 of them) back incredibly quickly - less than two weeks after our wedding! When dealing with our family members, he was always very polite and respectful, yet assertive when positioning people for large group photos. Very helpful that he speaks fluent Vietnamese and is very familiar with our traditions and customs (more familiar then we are actually). The photos themselves are also gorgeous. I’m really not a photogenic person but he always made me comfortable in front of the camera and helped position us the best way. Lighting and everything was never an issue. Toan also processed the photos much faster than we expected (raw photos from our wedding ready in a matter of days!). Overall Toan was one of the best choices, if not THE best, we made during wedding planning.

Toan was almost giddy with excitement as he found new places to photograph us in San Francisco. They were better than we could’ve dreamed. Too many great ones to choose from! And all throughout, Toan was a delight to work with. edding day. We were lucky to meet Toan through our sister-in-law. Even before the wedding, Toan was good with coordinating with us on our schedule and was very quick and responsive to our needs. That gave us confidence that he will be reliable on the day of. Toan also gave us a heads up about our first look location and prevented potential disaster. Turns out the location we choose had parking constraints and that would have caused a lot of headaches so my wife and I were able to pivot locations. Talk about watching your back! On the day of, Toan arrived on time and was ready to roll right away. He and his crew picked out a good location to take our first look photos and gave us very good instructions on how to pose and smile. My wife and I are not good at taking photos so having him guide us was comforting. We also had a slight mishap with flowers being late so he moved the schedule around and had us take getting ready photos. This saved us a lot of time and we were able to get those and the photos with the flowers so that we did not have to miss anything. In addition, we requested other photos we liked to take and he was able to adjust and provide those for us. He was friendly, funny, and very chill to work with. Now let's get to the photos. Toan took amazing photos. I mean, the angles, the lighting, and using the background, this guy is a pro. He was able to take very stunning photos of my wife in her beautiful dress and of me and her together. The knew where to position us to get the best lighting and background. Our wedding was in November, after daylights savings, so it got dark fast after the ceremony. He was able to use his flash and technique to still get us some glowing photos. His focus on people was great too, there was a lot of things we couldn't see as we were so busy but they took nice photos of our guests and event so we were able to see what we missed. Toan worked well with our videographer Ron and made sure they didn't overstep each other. We had a surprise gift from a friend who sang a song while Toan was suppose to be eating but yet he came right away to take photos and did not miss a beat! Toan's attentiveness to detail, perfection, and his experience just makes him that much more worth it. I am so lucky we were able to find him because he is a gem. He worked with us through COVID and he was able to adjust to our needs all the way to the end. We were very comfortable with him and it made our photos very natural as we were relaxed and happy. He knows how to get people loose to let out their best quality. I highly recommend Toan and his team to anyone!

ars so when he finally popped the question, you better believe I had half of the wedding already planned in my head. Haha, jokes aside - we booked a package with Toan and had our engagement shoot in October of 2019. Both my husband and I are extremely awkward when it comes to taking posed picture with the focus mainly on us, but Toan and his team made it easy, fun, and enjoyable. He made us laugh the entire time and directed us in our poses. 2020 rolls around and well ...... 2020. We ended up postponing our October 2020 wedding to October 2021. As soon as things started to get better and the world started heading towards the direction of a new normal, the wedding industry became extremely saturated with postponed events and newly engaged couples. Even through this, Toan was super responsive anytime we had questions - replying back within a mere couple of hours. I cannot stress the importance of his communication and how responsive he was - it made all the difference in the world and we never felt like we had to continue to follow up or chase for answers because he was always there to answer them whenever we needed. The long awaited day of the wedding finally comes around and Toan arrives with 2 additional photographers. From morning until night, Toan and his team worked together to capture every single aspect of our wedding day. We got the pictures at the end of October approximately 2 weeks after our wedding and are in love with each and every one of the pictures. Every moment, every motion, every detail was captured so beautifully. My husband and I keep saying how we want to relive the best day of our lives and with the pictures taken by Toan and his team, we are able to. Thank you so much, Toan + team!!

He made us comfortable in front of the camera, fixed our posture and blown-out-of-place bangs, corralled our chaotic family members and friends, made thoughtful suggestions all day, and helped to keep us and our timeline on track. He brought along 2 extra shooters on our wedding day to capture all our memories. Our guests and vendors loved him! Before the wedding, I sent Toan some example shots of locations I liked around the venue. Boy, did he understand the assignment! His photos turned out even more impressive than the examples. He and his team shot a wide range of different poses in each location and more. I don't know how they captured such unique angles, but I'm so happy they did! We got sneak peeks a couple days after the wedding and we got our pictures back 2 weeks after that. Super fast! Note, these are the original images, we were able to choose photos for editing/retouching from there. We were blown away by how our wedding photos came out. He captured the moments, the details, and the emotions perfectly. The venue seemed to look and photograph better on the day of our wedding, than on the day that we booked the venue! His photography is stunning, timeless, and romantic. We've gotten so many compliments from our friends and family and can't wait to hang our wedding photos up in our home. We booked Toan and his assistant for 12 hours -- which included Vietnamese tea ceremony, Chinese tea ceremony, Western ceremony, and reception. My husband and I were almost clueless on how tea ceremonies work... THANK GOODNESS for Toan guiding us and our family throughout the process. He was basically our photographer/Asian wedding coordinator. Toan was very directive and vocal (which we truly appreciate due to our lack of knowledge of how tea ceremonies and weddings work). He is definitely open to suggestions and ideas, but like the previous review, we're more laid back and will take any directions from the professional. Toan made us feel very comfortable and we FULLY trust his professional opinion. Toan is VERY detail oriented and words cannot describe how passionate this guy with photography. Toan shot over 2000 photos and each one of them were amazing! We were able to see the pics and choose the ones that can be edited about 2 weeks after the wedding. Everyone that I showed the pics to thought those were the edited pics, but they're actually all unedited. I cannot imagine how beautiful and magical the edited pics will be. We HIGHLY recommend Toanven Group! My friends are already determined to hire Toan for their wedding after seeing my photos! We definitely want to work with Toanven Group again in the future!

They would use whatever is in the environment to get a perfect still whether it be lively or dramatic. They taught us how to pose and really helped us ease into the day. Our wedding was at Stanford, and they were able to capture some amazing photos of us in the church. Our friends who married recently noticed how professional and great they were and commented that they wished they used this team for their own weddings. It was great working with them and I couldn't recommend them more for your special occasion.
