Honestly I am very torn in writing this review. The toast crew were amazing, very kind and professional. Juliana was a huge help in allowing an extension on my photos because I got... pregnant right around the time we received our album, I really appreciated her kindness and understanding throughout this entire experience she was lovely to work with! I will be completely honest though I got too excited by the price as we all know wedding photography is NOT cheap. However, if I could go back I would have invested in a local/professional photographer instead of a larger company like toast. In fact I tell anyone I know getting married INVEST in the photography, you get one day and it is truly DEVASTATING to open up your album and be unhappy with your photos. Unfortunately there were very few photos of just my husband and I that we actually liked I’m not exaggerating maybe 2-4, we had the sweetest photographer but to be completely transparent, I felt like we weren’t directed/posed very well at all. There was very little direction/guidance the day of and it was more like “what do you guys wanna do” which is fine but not exactly what I was hoping for because I don’t have any photography experience and have no idea how to pose haha. I remember taking specific photos the day of and hoping to get those back in our package but didn’t :(. Also, Looking through our album, we had received back a lot more photos of our guests than of us, I remember looking through the photos for the first time and my husband and we literally turned to each other and went “why would they even add that” because we felt a lot of those candid shots of our guests or us were in unflattering angles/they were caught off guard making a face etc. oh and lastly I was very upset by how grainy our ceremony photos were. Mind you they were taken inside of a church I understand they can only control so much of the lighting but this is where I think it is incredibly important to establish a good relationship with your PHOTOGRAPHER so you can meet with in person and walk through each venue together.
