Toca Madera Winery was founded to share our love of wine-making with our friends and neighbors in the Central Valley. Our diverse mix of warm-weather wine grapes was specially selected to create unique blends of estate wines for the sophisticated palate. The location of the vineyard is special, too. We are at the “trail-head” of the Madera Wine Trail, where Road 36 joins Avenue 9 in Madera, CA – just outside of Fresno.

Toca feelings like you’re in the wine country. This place is absolutely beautiful. You can do the bare minimum with your decor and this place will still look like a magazine wedding.
Jacy was great to work with and I was sad when she set down from the coordinator. We had Chelsi and Cortni who went above and beyond to make sure your day will run smoothly and make it not as stressful for you. Chelsi would respond to my text in a timely manner at all hours of the day. I could not ask for a better team than these two.
This venue is amazing! Not only is it stunning, the wedding team is so easy to work with. Very responsive to any questions and they really let you create your own perfect day. I am so glad I chose to get married at Toca Madera!
Toca Madera will always have such a special place in my heart. Our wedding was beyond perfect! From meeting with our coordinator on site months before the wedding, to the actual wedding day. We didn’t want it to end. You do have to get your own vendors but since we signed the contract a little less than a year in advance it was easy to find vendors. We rented a simple arch for the ceremony area. Toca is so beautiful we don’t really need that much decor (which saves us money) it’s even more beautiful at night with the string lights. Chelsie & Cortni were amazing and were there every time we had questions, even if it was months before our wedding. Not to mention how great their wine is! The bridal suite is also really awesome and has lots of room for my family and friends to get ready in. The venue is a real winner, I HIGHLY recommend it! I especially love that it’s all outdoors! 100% recommend, I’ll never regret it
We couldn't be happier with our experience at Toca Madera Winery. The venue was beautiful and the customer service was amazing. Jacey was our main point of contact when booking Toca for our wedding and she was always prompt to reply.
When booking this venue or any other venue, always recommend you read your contract and make sure you are aware of everything. Since this is a winery venue, you are required to purchase wine for your adult guest count even if they do not drink wine. We love Toca wine so that wasn't a problem :) I would highly recommend this venue.
This review is in regards to our experience trying to book a wedding at Toca Madera Winery. We met with the coordinator who was very friendly and seemed to be very accommodating. After securing our date and putting the deposit down, things started to get strict and very contradictory even within their own literature/contract. It's unfortunate that after going to this winery on many different occasions, including being in a wedding here, I can not recommend this location for any wedding event.
Things to know ahead of time before booking your wedding here:
1. Do NOT under any circumstances believe any verbal agreement between any winery employee and you. If it's not in the contract do not take the coordinator or any other staff's word on allowing something. They will stick to the contract later and are not willing to make "exceptions". Even when I pointed out discrepancies in their "policies" vs the contract, they didn't seem willing to exercise their ability to use the amendment clause in the contract to correct them.
2. Their contract states "Champagne, sparkling wines, and beer may be purchased through Toca Madera if ordered by Responsible Party at least one week in advance of the event. An additional deposit for any such orders will be required." However, what they do not tell you is that they include a 100% markup on the outside alcohol purchases, it's not just simply a "deposit". If you do not inquire prior to this order, you will find this out about 1-2 weeks or less before your wedding at which point it's too late to do anything about it, or risk loosing your wedding venue.
3. The brochure they may or may not send you before signing the contract has different verbiage than their contract. Be wary that the winery staff may say that you agreed to conditions of your wedding in the brochure even though it's never mentioned in their contract. The alcohol policy in their brochure states that their alcohol policy is "TOCA MADERA WINERY WINE ONLY. Beer (NO KEGS)/sparkling wines/champagne shall be purchased through Toca Madera Winery only." "Shall be purchased" does not give you an option of where to buy the alcohol, however, the contract uses "may" which is not an obligation but rather an option. Additionally, "no kegs" are not mentioned in their contract and also the brochure states that "You are kindly required to contract with your own wedding coordinator, caterer, DJ, florist, and other vendors on our preferred vendor list." where as their contract states "We recommend you choose from Toca Madera's list of approved vendors." Again, meaning you have an option to, not an obligation as the brochure tries to make it sound.
4. Any conversations I would have over email/text, try to avoid phone calls or in person conversations unless you have them recorded (even if you don't think you will need to do so). This will prevent he said she said discrepancies with any issues that may arise through your process of booking your wedding later.
5. If the winery asks you if you want to cancel your contract, DO NOT say yes as they then have the right to keep your deposit per the contract. We were asked about 6-10 different times on 3-4 separate occasions if we wanted to cancel our contract and we told them no each time. Eventually, they canceled the contract on us then requiring them to surrender our deposit back as they were then in breach of contract.
We were more than happy with Toca Madera Winery! It was absolutely perfect! What first sold us on Toca was their wedding coordinator Tiffanie Jensen (she no longer works there but has her own wedding planning company) She made the day run so smoothly and we were more than happy! Also, their bridal suite was PERFECT! It was a HUGE room with vanity mirrors and a huge bar/eating area! There is a room for the girls to get ready AND the guys! The staff that works there was amazing! Super friendly and so helpful! We were so happy with everything! Toca was the best choice for us!! If you are interested in Toca, you will not be disappointed! The view is amazing, the wine was tasty and the staff was incredible!!! We were more than happy with our choice! :)
