Memories...Everything surrounding a wedding equates to a memory. From the day you accept the proposal to the months/ years of planning (two years of planning in my case), to the actual wedding day, the common denominator of it all is the compli...ment of memories.
David Hill of Together Forever Films, or the man with a magical lens as I personally like to call to him, is professional, yes, punctual, yes, approachable, yes, amicable, yes, but those things are expected of a hired videographer. What's not expected however, is the way he captures and transcends a simple moment into a sensational, everlasting, memorable film.
Amongst MANY moments,my wedding film captured my mom zipping up my gown and adjusting my veil, the actual text message I was hiding in a corner drafting to my husband thanking him for the lovely shoes he got me as a wedding gift, my heavily glossed lips slowly detaching from my husband's top lip as I withdrew from a kiss, my worrisome smirk at the alter as I experienced slight difficulty sliding on my husbands wedding band, and the moment of them all--my husband fervidly crying (boo boo face and all) as I began to walk down the aisle...I must add--between locking eyes with guests on both sides of the room and fighting back my own tears while walking down the aisle, I actually missed that moment when my husband cried; however, I'm so grateful it was captured in my wedding video and it melts my heart each time I watch it (not to mention I can use it as collateral against my husband when needed-HaHa)...I digress...
My main point in mentioning such moments captured in my wedding film is to drive home the point that if it happened, it was captured by Together Forever Films.
One of the best things about Together Forever Films that I love is that you know David is there, but you don't feel his presence. As I watched a clip of my wedding video, the whole time while viewing it consisted of astonishing gasps followed by repetitious "Omg when did that happen" and "Omg I can't believe he captured that". It was rewarding to see that such detailed, up close and personal moments were captured without me feeling his presence and without having to give direction. He just gets it.
Of all the things that lead up to ones wedding day, the day of is obviously the most memorable. I've been married for almost three months now and there are moments when I would just be sitting on the couch or even at my computer desk at work, and I randomly get the urge to click on the YouTube link of my wedding video to experience the mystical four minutes of joy and pleasure; it puts and instant smile on my face and warms my heart.
The way the actual footage lays perfectly against our song choice, John Legend-You&I-, one would think my wedding day was runner up for the actual music video to that song; it mesmerizes me time and time again. It's the memory I wanted. It's the memory I have. I have it for a lifetime and it's all thanks to Together Forever Films.
