very single question I had, and accommodated my excessively detailed song list and requests. Tom even did the wedding music for our ceremony, innovatively running the speakers through his car when he realized the ceremony site didn’t have electricity. Tom was extremely professional on our wedding day. He was a blast and kept the party moving seamlessly from event to event. When our buffet dinner was slightly delayed, Tom suggested people get salads first to kill time and that made it seem to our guests as if dinner was right on time. He clearly has a lot of experience in his field. One of my favorite parts was how Tom was able to be a presence at our event without stealing the show. He made sure people were dancing and having fun but he wasn’t obnoxious or over the top like many other DJs I’ve seen. I was very impressed by DJ Tooth and I highly recommend him for any of your DJ needs.

Overall Tom was easy to get along with, professional, flexible, and considerate - he was happy to talk through COVID precautions before the wedding, and during the wedding he checked on me and my husband multiple times throughout the night to see if we needed anything. He also went out of his way to make sure my grandma had what she needed.. my grandma went upstairs during cocktail hour to sit on a couch we had rented so she could be comfortable and Tom saw her sitting alone, went downstairs, got her a tray of appetizers and brought them up to her so she didn’t miss out on anything. It was just little things like this that he did throughout the night that was completely unexpected from our DJ and was so appreciated and so thoughtful. Tom made himself available by email and phone (we planned our wedding from afar), and was prepared to handle everything on the day-of. I remember telling my husband on the wedding day that I appreciated how involved Tom was during the reception. I did not have a wedding planner, so Tom took on the task of making sure the speeches happened on time, and also coordinated the timing of the first dances, and cake-cutting. Tom gave us a fantastic suggestion about the timing of the cake cutting too, based on his vast experience. He was friendly, fun, and easy to work with! My husband also wanted me to give a shout-out to Tom for finding an incredible acoustic version of "Present Tense" by Radiohead, that fit the vibe better with the other requested songs. Our biggest critic (my grandfather) was so happy with our music selection. Our best man planned (as a surprise to us) to have DJ Tooth play homemade music made by my husband during the best man toast and he played it again later on in the evening. His planning form was VERY useful and he provided great feedback regarding the timeline of events and song choices. He was quick to respond to emails and flexible about specific details that we wanted to include. On the day of, Tom provided services for our reception and outdoor ceremony. I was a little skeptical about having a DJ at our ceremony, but it went great and the songs blended perfectly. There was no obnoxious equipment, etc. that stood out. The day of the wedding he showed up early to get set up and even helped us figure out a few last minute details we had forgotten about.
Our Best Man (my little brother) made us a personalized version of "Jack and Diane" instead of the traditional speech. He worked with the DJ to make that happen and we were busting out laughing and crying over how sweet it was. Any free moment he had was spent making sure we had enough water and if everything was going well.
He played music that had both our younger guests, our friends, and my grandma up and dancing. My grandma had such a good time dancing that the next day when we had brunch together, she could not stop raving about what a good time it was and how sore her feet were after dancing all night. We had a lot of kids at our wedding. Even a few party crashers from down the street! A new neighbor brought her two daughters up and we had a ball together. Made two new friends that night. Our party was the talk of the block and DJ Tooth made it spectacular.
The night ended with DJ Tooth playing Michael Buble's "Save the Last Dance" and many of the wedding guests holding hands around us and singing as my husband and I danced and laughed.
At the end of the night, he gave us a CD of many of the songs played at our wedding (including the Best Man's song). It was a sweet and unexpected touch.
DJ Tooth was a perfect fit for our wedding. We would hire him again for any other party we have in the future (is it too soon to have vow renewals after a year?!).

f plans to an indoor cocktail hour, Paul & Ashley entered the ballroom in grand style to Styx’s ‘Renegade’. I knew right then this was going to be a great reception! And I was NOT disappointed. After the best man, Kellan Thompson’s comical speech about Ashley’s 47 page (sorry Ashley, but that thing was super long) itinerary and an outstanding dinner from the Marriot, it was on to some serious dancing!!
After some amazing dance moves, it was time for the bouquet and garter toss. Paul put on a solid show to R. Kelly’s ‘Bump and Grind’. He worked the crowd well. Then it came time for Ashley to throw the bouquet. I gave her one piece of advice, but she didn't listen. On the count of three she tossed the flowers over her shoulder….but they never came down, they got STUCK in the chandelier. We quickly grabbed a second bouquet of flowers and did a successful replay and all was once again right with the world.
Then it was back to dancing. Everything from old school favorites of the Twist and the Isley Brothers’ Shout to new Usher and the Cha Cha Slide kept the dance floor packed all night long. The bride and her twin sister did a solid dance to Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’ but the show was stolen as soon as Michael Gustin stepped foot on the dance floor. As the first beats to Michael Jackson’s Thriller came on, the man I dubbed as GUSTO owned the dance floor. It was amazing! He not only killed it during Thriller, he also came up and stole the wireless mic and instructed the dancers to ‘BEAT THAT BEAT UP!’ to LMFAO’s ‘Party Rock Anthem’. He quickly became the MVP of an amazing party. I only have one wish, I wish I could have had the video of Gusto’s Thriller dance to add to my site!!

I guess I got my start djing when I was around 9 years old. That is when my mom would make me run up and down the stairs to change a record for her. Whether is was her favorites, like Sha Na Na or some classic Motown, I grew up playing music and loving music. Fast forward several years later, my love of music turned into a passion and a new job, djing. I started out a as roadie for my best friend, tagging along with him to weddings he djed. After a while I began to think, hey I could do this. After long hours of practice, practice, and more practice, I started my professional dj career.
