John was a great DJ and MC! Kept many of my wedding guests partying until the very end. I spoke with Tom a few times throughout the planning process and he was great. Super professional and great communication. Thank you!

Our DJ was John and he was great! John called us the week prior to our wedding so we could discuss any questions or concerns we had and he gave us some great advice. He stayed true to our song list - both the play and do not play. He had the entire dance floor completely full the entire night. Many of our guests said they loved the music selection and hadn't danced that much in years. Having a fun reception was so important to us, and John really helped make that happen!

Our venue had their own sound system so we wanted someone that frequented the venue often- although we had never been to an event with Tom Barrett DJs, I felt comfortable booking them after looking at online reviews, and I am so happy we did! The company's slogan is "your wedding, your way" and this is so true. We were able to submit song requests and do not play request, which as a dance teacher and music lover was important to me. One big request we had was that our first song was not played from a cd or a digital file but rather on a vinyl record that was from my mother's collection. My husband and I love pur vinyl collection. My mother past a few years ago and it was importanot to me to have little touches of her in our big day. I was so worried with this being pulled off smoothly, but Tom put me at ease right away. Our Dj John helped arrange having the record player on display where all our guest could see. The second I heard our first song play, I had tears in my eyes- it was by far one of my favorite moments of the day. Thank you DJ John for not only making our first dance perfect but keeping our reciption a big dance party which is exactly what we wanted!

Tom Barrett DJ was a great decision. Not only were they affordable, but they were professional and were great with communication the entire process. During our wedding, Gary (our DJ), had the guests dancing throughout the night, which is just what we wanted! My husband and I would recommend this DJ to anyone looking for a great time!

We had Joe as our DJ and he was AMAZING! He knew what songs to play and when to play them. He was constantly keeping the guests on the dance floor and kept the party going! I could not have had a better DJ! Thank you so much!!

My aunt paid for Tom to DJ our reception, and it was such a lovely gift. We had a black tie affair, and I was concerned that a DJ would not capture the formal feeling we were hoping for, and I had also originally wanted a band to fill the large space of our reception. Tom, however, far exceeded my expectations, putting all of my worries to rest. He was professional, talented, and genuinely a kind person. It was such a pleasure to work with him. The dinner music was conducive to conversing, but when it was time to dance, he kept our guests on their feet having a blast! He also served as our MC, exhibiting his many years of experience in this industry. We were the hardest people to work with. We sent the contract back late, changed our minds, called about last minute decisions. And the DJ handled it all professionally and with total ease. The music that I love isn't crowd-pleasing, but I really wanted everybody at my wedding to have fun. When I told Tom Barratt this, they sent over the perfect guy. He was able to make me (fussy bride) happy, while keeping everyone on the dance floor all night. He played the perfect mix of tunes. The person they sent, Kevin, was amazing. He is a fan of my favorite band ever, and made sure he included them perfectly without breaking the flow of the event. He played my husband's alma matter fight song during the garter toss, much to the joy his entire family. Thank you for giving me exactly the wedding I wanted.

We had a wonderful DJ for our wedding! Ken, from Tom Barrett Disc Jockeys, did an amazing job. Everyone kept coming up to tell us how great the DJ was. He had people up and dancing the whole time. He played our requested songs, did a wonderful job announcing the bridal party, and even helped us honor both of our parents 25th wedding anniversaries. He was more than helpful and I would absolutely recommend! Easy to work with and made our wedding reception.

Skilled, easy to work with, and knowledgeable about procedures and what works well at a wedding venue. My sister sang during our outdoor ceremony and they made me feel so confident that it would go well and sound good (and it did). Tom personally worked with me to choose a song and to get my sister prepared to sing. The DJ that actually came to the wedding was comfortable making changes on the fly, was calm and likable for the guests and not too crazy like some DJ's I have heard. They did not take away from the music and the fun, but added to it. There was a little issue with one of the speakers that held up one of our formal dance songs, and he simply came and let us know in a calm way and said he would take care of it- and he did without fail.

I gave an extensive play list to our DJ as well as specific version of songs that I wanted to be played. Everything I had pre-selected was played and everyone was on the dance floor the whole night! I would definitely recommend them!!!

We loved Kevin who was the DJ we chose!! He was just amazing through out the night he played a vary of music for everybody. We had such a good time, and everybody was saying the next day, and today how much fun they had on our wedding day. Thank you so much for everything!! You made our wedding night so special, and so much fun!!

So I had only heard good things about this company and now I see why! Tom Barrett DJ's was a fantastic pick. Not only were they affordable, but they had everyone dancing and followed what my husband and I had asked with regard to requests. Very personable DJ and simply put, professional! Loved every moment and Tom Barrett DJ's had a big part in that with the perfect soundtrack to the perfect day.

Our DJ was definitely well-versed in doing wedding receptions, but he was a little bit on the hurried side. His voice was that awesome radio-personality voice and he wass honestly a nice guy.

Everyone at my wedding had so much fun! Our DJ, John, had all of our guests out on the dance floor! He got all of our names right and he played everything we asked! I can not say enough good things about this DJ!!

When I first started contacting DJs, I did it on a Sunday because that was when I had time. Tom Barrett called me within minutes of receiving my online contact. I was very excited, because he wasn't pushy at all, didn't continue calling me every three days, and was the only one that actually returned my inquiry within days. Of course I booked him right away. Well I found out later that the client doesn't get to meet the DJ before the wedding. No big deal, I'll make sure he has a very detailed list of exactly what needs to be done, etc. RJ the DJ called me less than two weeks before the wedding to talk about all the details and things. I felt decent about talking to him, felt that he seemed capable, being that he said he had decades of experience (he was from an older generation). Well the day of the wedding, he mispronounced an usher's name (which we had already talked about), introduced our bridal party in the wrong order, and forgot about the best man giving a speech - all in a matter of 15 minutes or so! After my husband got up to thank people for coming and a couple other things, he handed the microphone back and RJ the DJ started our dinner service right away, not after immediately walking out the door to smoke a cigarette WITH MY GUESTS! I have never seen that before in my life, and I was in catering for 8 years. I walked outside and asked him what in the world he thought he was doing, explained everything he had messed up, and said he better get himself back inside and pay attention. Later I asked him to play some more "fun" music like we had requested on the sheet I sent him and he said "I played two, didn't you hear them?!" Later he walked up to my father and said, "Where have you been? We've been looking all over for you?" during dinner hour. How rude. We requested a few other songs throughout the night and he either played versions we've never heard of or played them so softly you couldn't actually hear the words. A couple songs we had requested he not play, just because even though they are popular wedding songs, my husband and I can't stand them. A few guests requested one or two, and he told them, "no, I can't play it cuz they crossed it off their list" instead of saying that he would try to work it in and that we had given him a list of things we wanted him to play first. So then I had guests coming up to me all night asking why we couldn't play it and I had to explain it over and over. Finally, at the end of the night my mom asked him if she needed to give anything more. He had the audacity to say, "if you mean was the bill paid, yes". What an obvious way to ask for a tip and how rude.. I could not believe him. I like the company because of how on top of it they were, but this guy needs to find a new job or stick to just retirement dinners.
