We hired Tom for a 35th anniversary party at a wedding venue in Nahant, MA. I can't say enough good things about Tom! From the first Zoom meeting to the end of our party, he was personable and professional. Moreover, he is truly one of the most gifted musicians I have ever met; he plays multiple instruments, sings, and records his own background music plus he DJs! We gave him a list of our favorite songs which he wove beautifully throughout our event. EVERYONE at the party commented how wonderful he is. You can't go wrong hiring Tom!

Tom was one of the best choices we made for our wedding day! We were originally looking for a live band for our wedding reception, but were struck by a bit of sticker shock. When we found Tom, we were so excited by the opportunity to have both live music (acoustic guitar for our ceremony, a variety of instruments during cocktail hour, incredible voice and instruments throughout the reception) as well as a great DJ for the dance portion of the night! Our guests were so pleasantly surprised and loved cheering him on. We were also able to get custom colored uplighting through Tom at a fraction of the price offered by our venue. We are so happy we chose Tom to provide music for our wedding day!

Tom was simply unbelievable. He was the most professional, patient and accommodating vendor that we had for our whole wedding. DJs can make or break any wedding and not only was dancing a huge priority to me and my husband but a whole half of my family is Hispanic- the stakes for a good dance floor were very high. It also threw in the twist of wanting to mix in Spanish songs throughout the night in a way that accommodated my family but also kept all the guests on the dancefloor and Tom did this perfectly. I gave him a list of Spanish songs, mostly ones from Colombian artists from my moms childhood- he already had most of them and made sure to get the ones that he didn’t. We are still getting compliments on him from our September wedding, my one friend passionately prefers bands for weddings and she told us he was the only DJ she’s ever loved at a wedding- he was that much of a stand out. I planned a very detail oriented wedding and Tom rolled with every punch with grit and grace. I had many different moments planned throughout the reception- a song dedicated to our college friends with Pittsburgh terrible towels pulled out from behind Toms booth and handed out, an announcement for my husband and I’s “guilty pleasure” song of the night, Tom also learned our first dance song Wonderwall, recorded a back track to it and played the guitar and sang it live and then got all our guests to join in singing the final verse. Hours and hours and hours of extra work that he didn’t even charge us extra for. The pinnacle of all of this is that at one point in time I had the crazy idea to play the saxophone to a song during the reception, I used to play but haven’t picked one up in a while and when I did my sax was broken so it never worked out but when I told Tom this idea he was so enthusiastic and on board he even offered to let me use his sax if I brought my own mouthpiece and then MINUTES after we hung up the phone he sent me the sheet music written out to the song I had wanted to play. I was blown away. Tom was so stand out professional and easy to work with that even our wedding venue noticed and the owner told us they wanted to put him on their recommended vendor list because of how professional he was to work with and how incredible his service was. Seriously do not hesitate to book Tom, you will not regret it!

My wife and I can confidently say that Tom Bruhl is not your average wedding DJ. He is a true musical maestro who took our celebration to a whole new level. -The guests could not stop raving about Tom's talent. My cousins are convinced he is a time traveler because how else could one person gain so many musical skills across a variety of instruments (singing, guitar, flute, saxophone)?! -Tom walked around the room during dinner playing sax next to guest tables which was a huge hit! -Tom expertly blended the transitions from one song to the next during our wedding processionals. -Tom kept a huge crowd on the dance floor all night long, playing hits for the whole range of age groups we had there! -You cannot go wrong with Tom! He created spectacular music entertainment all night long!

Tom is incredible. We were looking for someone who could provide both live music and DJ’ing, and he knocked it out of the park. Our guests loved him, especially his sax playing and jazz flute. On the organizational side, he was incredibly professional, accommodated all of our requests (musical and otherwise), and kept the night running smoothly. He is an excellent communicator, highly available by both phone and email, and seeing how detailed-oriented he was relieved a lot of stress for us In the weeks leading up to the wedding. He has our highest recommendation.

I was so excited to have Tom Bruhl perform at our wedding, and boy, he did not disappoint- absolutely incredible! I had such high expectations based on all the positive reviews on the Knot and he managed to go above and beyond and exceed them in every way! From the first communication, Tom was kind, professional and calm, and I knew he is someone we would want to have at our wedding. He worked with me to select songs, was flexible with changes, and was able to provide recommendations and help alleviate planning stress because he has so much experience with weddings. Tom performed acoustic during our ceremony, sang & played a variety of instruments (including a requested solo during the father daughter dance) and DJ'ed hit after hit, keeping our dance floor packed the entire night. I was actually sore from dancing so hard! The guests at our wedding were raving about Tom's incredible talent and were so hyped by his performances. To this day, we have had people reaching out about how memorable Tom was. If you are considering booking Tom, do it!!!! You won't regret it and you and your guests will be amazed!

5 stars isn’t enough for Tom! He was AMAZING. Good music at my wedding was definitely a priority for my husband and I, and Tom did not disappoint. He’s a talented musician as well and our guests were raving about him all night. We’re so grateful we booked him even though we had never heard him play before our wedding. He really went above and beyond and was so easy to work with!!

How we found Tom is a bit of a funny story. I was frustrated with my to-be husband that we could not agree on a band or DJ. So, I tossed him my laptop and said "PICK SOMEONE". Lo and behold, the first person he sees is Tom! Truly a one man band as well as DJ. Tom was genuinely kind and very receptive to all our of abit interesting requests. People RAVED about his musical performances during the cocktail hour and his talent! Even during the ceremony he went between using the DJ equipment and musical equipment seamlessly. The absolutely only thing I wish was different was that I wish he didn't save 20 of our "must-play" songs to the end. I understand why it worked and kept people on the dance floor I just wish we got to dance to those specific songs longer than shorter cuts of them. But in the end, everything was fabulous and everyone had a wonderful time! We highly recommend him to anyone!

Tom was an EXCELLENT choice for our wedding in August (my review is a little late!). His ability to personalize our wedding and musical talents impressed our guests and made the day extra special. He has great energy and was the perfect choice for us. If you are looking for more than a DJ, I would book Tom!

Tom was an amazing wedding Entertainer and DJ! From live music and singing to DJing he really did it all at the reception! He was flexible working with us to accommodate all of our favorite songs and integrated them seamlessly into his sets. He had the dance floor rocking the entire night and really blew everyone away with his talent and multiple instruments. We continue to have so many people rave about his performance after the wedding, it really made for such an incredible day.

Jamie and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Tom for our DJ. We knew going into planning a wedding, that the DJ can make or break the party. Tom was absolutely wonderful! The GOAT! What a talented and accomplished musician and DJ! We booked Tom over a year before my daughter's wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made. Tom was fabulous to work with especially since we were planning this long distance. He's got a wide repertoire for both his roles as musician, where he sings and plays multiple instruments, and as DJ. He read the room perfectly and played songs that everyone enjoyed...and no one wanted to leave. All I heard from our guests were raves!

Tom was THE BEST. It is hard to imagine that one person can be the best of both worlds, providing fabulous live music for ceremony/cocktail and a dj for the reception. But Tom delivered!!! DJ and Musician, Tom Bruhl was one of the best vendors at our wedding. A few weeks before our day we had a phone call with him and he was very attentive to detail about what we wanted for each and every part of the day. He was professional and made wonderful suggestions for certain songs like my bridesmaids walking down the aisle, etc. Tom was flexible when we made changes and responsive the days leading up to the wedding. During the ceremony he played some acoustic songs and then at the reception, our guests were all so impressed when he would go back and forth between DJ and live music. It really added something extra special to our day. He played all the songs we "required" and many from our "requested" list. He also abided by our request to not take song requests from guests and followed our "do not play" list. The dance floor was never empty and he announced everything perfectly. Everything we had discussed ahead of time he followed through with. Besides all of that, Tom is just a nice and down to earth guy! We ended up seeing Tom DJ at our friend's wedding 2 weeks later and he again, impressed all the guests and the dance floor was a hit!

A+ all around. Tom had people crying during the ceremony with his guitar and dancing all night with his combination of great music selection and live singing and instruments along with the music. Throw in some saxophone and jazz flute during cocktail hour and dinner and he was a highlight of the wedding for everybody. He was also extremely easy to work with and flexible when our wedding venue changed a few months before. Would highly recommend all around.

Tom Bruhl is the best dj/ one man band in the business! His wide range of musical talent is simply amazing. He will jump from DJing to playing an instrument and singing without skipping a beat. He keeps your guests out on the dance floor! Don't look further, he is the best!

There are not enough words to express how talented Tom is. He did an incredible job at my wedding! Everyone was so impressed with his skills to DJ and play a variety of live instruments. He seamlessly transitioned from his guitar, to the sax, to the flute. He was an amazing showman and entertained the guests all night. Tom was the best DJ we could have ever picked for our wedding day! Tom not only DJs and makes sure your all your guests never leave the dance floor, but he plays his own instruments which really gives the wedding an amazing vibe. He gives the option to play sax, guitar, sing and DJ, truly does it all! We loved having him play the sax during cocktail hour, everyone was blown away by how it all sounded. Tom Bruhl is the best musician/DJ combo that brought a unique and amazing talent to our wedding day. His instrument skills included acoustic guitar/flute during the ceremony, saxophone during the cocktail hour, and electric guitar plus his amazing voice during the reception. After dinner, his DJ skills shone, playing all the faves! The dance floor was full all night! When he plays an instrument and sings, he is actually using a pre-recorded backtrack of his own other instruments and makes the song sound exactly like the record! He learned a particular song for us that he had never played and pre-recorded the back tracks in order to play that during the ceremony. When we were deciding whether to use Tom, he invited us to see his performance at a local bar, so we got to witness his talents prior to making our decision. Best decision we ever made. We decided that our investment in Tom was the best, since for us, a great dance floor is the sign of a great wedding, and Tom brought all the great music and feelings to the crowd! Hiring Tom will be the best decision YOU will ever make! He's the BEST!

Completely blown away by Tom. He was absolutely incredible and a pleasure to work with! It is very obvious that Tom has a passion for music and loves what he does. His live performance and DJ skills were amazing and he really knows how to engage with the crowd. We would recommend him in a heartbeat!

Tom was the perfect fit for us. Multi-talented, fun and professional, he helped everything go smoothly. Tom was friendly and prompt and enthusiastic throughout our whole planning process; with covid postponements, that was 2.5 years! He provided uplighting, emcee'd the night, and of course provided musical accompaniment for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dance party! Everyone, all ages, had a blast on the dance floor. Tom was the DJ for our wedding in May 2021, and he was absolutely fantastic to work with. We got the chance to visit his studio earlier in the year, and it was clear how passionate Tom is about performing with his own instruments as well as being a DJ! Tom is an amazing musician and has incredible DJ skills on top of that. He is the best of both worlds and he provided exactly what we were looking for. He helped us figure out the best songs to use for our ceremony and performed them beautifully. Some friends that watched the live stream of our ceremony thought it had been a recording....he's that good! We gave him a handful of songs that we wanted to hear through out the reception and he took that and flew with it. Just from those couple of songs he knew what we liked and created an incredible playlist for the evening. And to top it all off he even helped me whip up a surprise song for my husband. Tom was also incredibly flexible and we were so very lucky to have him. Due to the pandemic we had a last minute change of venue and he was happy to travel to our new venue destination. People always say the best things you need at a wedding are music and food. I promise you, you will not be disappointed if you pick Tom for your music needs on your wedding day!

Tom was absolutely perfect. We gave him virtually no song requests and he read our crowd perfectly. Not only did he DJ well, the man can sing and play as well. Tom played beautiful instrumental covers for the bride to walk down too that hit everyone right in the feels. He’s clearly been doing this a long because just before we had our first kiss, the photographers memory card filled up and we had to pause. Instead of awkward silence, unprompted Tom started to play his guitar and helped make it seem less awkward. Do your self a favor and book this guy. There’s are a 1000 DJs who just hit shuffle on Spotify, but if that’s what you want why not just rent speakers? Tom will read the room and make sure everyone is enjoying themselves.

Before my husband and I found Tom we thought of asking a friend to play music off of a spotify playlist since we were having only 50 people for our wedding during COVID. We knew that we had very different music taste but creating a playlist that wasn't all over the place was seeming impossible for us. We needed help and that's when we found Tom. He was super flexible when we had to move venues and I loved his detailed emails that explained everything. On the day of the wedding we had to change our cocktail hour location due to rain and he did it with no problem at all. Everyone loved the live music during cocktail hour, it provided such a cool vibe to start the night. He played all of my husbands and I's favorite songs at the right moments. He checked in with us first if someone wanted to say a speech or wanted to request a song to make sure we were ok with it. Tom got people out on the dance floor and kept them there! He was even accommodating when I wanted to get dancing even before the cake was cut! He was so very professional to work with which I loved since I work in the theatre/events industry. I didn't have to worry about anything going wrong with him because he made me feel so confident in his abilities. (Again those detailed emails, swoon!) Honestly wish I could have my own events all the time so I could hire Tom over and over again!! My husband and I had such a fun and amazing wedding. 1000% hire Tom, one of the best decisions I made for my wedding.

Tom did a wonderful job at my daughter’s wedding. He is a “jack of all trades, “ and very musically talented, being a wonderful instrumentalist, aside from a really good singer. He kept the dancing going and played a wonderful variety of songs. I missed things like the music at the time when people were arriving, because we were up in the bridal suite, but people told me he did a wonderful job. He has a fun personality, too! During our wedding, he DJ'd the welcome reception, played classical guitar during the ceremony (including learning two new songs for our processionals), sax during the cocktail hour, then played live music/DJ/MC'd the reception - it was absolutely incredible! Tom Bruhl is unbelievable. He played classical guitar for the ceremony, performed Jazz standards on sax and vocals for the cocktail hour and brought down the house with a mixture of DJing and performing at the reception. Everyone we talked to gushed about how amazing he was. We have been to many weddings, and not once have we seen the guests mob the dance floor after the first dance. He knows the right songs and when to play them, and our wedding would not have been the same without him. If you can book him, do it. You will not be disappointed. He was super professional, responsive and did a lot of front-end work on my playlist and first dance music. And the wedding music was superb. I first saw Tom’s work at a friend’s wedding and was so impressed that I knew I had to try to book him for my own. Tom is unbelievably talented as a DJ and musician. What sets Tom apart from other DJs is his mix of recorded and live music. Booking Tom is booking a DJ and band all in one! I got married on December 9, 2017. Tom Bruhl was our DJ and I couldn’t me more happy and grateful for everything he did for my husband and I. He exceeded my expectations in every way. Tom is very organized and was always available when I had a question or concern. He worked with both of us to customize our wedding night and also gave us some very helpful tips and suggestions. He made sure the night went smoothly. Tom is very talented. He sang, played instruments, and played music that we requested. Between cocktail hour and the reception he created this amazing atmosphere and was fantastic. People can’t stop talking about how wonderful he was. Tom was fantastic! He provided DJ and live music for our wedding, as well as the sound equipment for our ceremony outside. The guests couldn't believe it when they turned and saw him performing live -- the transition between recorded and live songs was that seamless and he was that good. We had a big group of children at the wedding, and Tom got them dancing most of the night and had some games for them to play as well. He was also great at keeping the event on track, especially for our introductions, exit, and scheduled dances. I'd hire him again any time I need music!

Our guests will be talking about Tom for years to come. My wife and I had numerous people come up to us during and after the wedding saying he was the best they had ever seen and that his live performances seemed like a CD because there was no way that could be someone live. Tom flawlessly and eloquently played the exact professional and recessional music for us which set a great tone for the remainder of the night. During the reception, he was able to read the crowd and get a feel for the right music at the right time and played exactly what everyone needed to keep the energy going. Hiring Tom to do the music for our Wedding day was one of the best decisions we made. He played guitar during the ceremony, sax during the cocktail hour, and a mix of DJ, Sax and Guitar/Singing during the reception. We chose the songs we wanted for events such as the processional, recessional, first dance, mother/son, and father/daughter dances. Otherwise we gave him a small list of songs as a guide of the type of music we enjoy and he did a great job picking the rest of the music. He was very laid back and very easy to work with. As far was wedding entertainers, his price was very reasonable. He has a lot of personality and was a very fun addition of the wedding. All the guests at our wedding raved about Tom afterwards. In summation, the music was great, his price was within our budget and he was very easy to work with.

Tom was so great. He played the guitar beautifully for the ceremony and the sax during cocktail hour. He was a great DJ and took the time to sit down with me to go through the must have songs and every other detail. I received so much great feedback and I know numerous people went to get his business card. It was the best decision we made for the wedding - I couldn't be happier. Booking Tom for our wedding was one of our best decisions! I never imagined that I could afford live music at my reception, and wasn't sure I even wanted it, after all, I wanted to be able to dance to a wide variety of music types. Tom is the best of all worlds and at an unbelievable value. He charges far less than a number of pure DJs who just stand and there and hit buttons all evening. He is amazingly responsive by email (once apologizing for taking a little more than 24 hours to respond to an email), and unbelievably talented. He is charming and professional and the tour of his in-home studio blew us away with his obvious attention to his craft. My then fiancé who was a bit lack luster about the planning process completely lit up during our meeting with Tom. He listened to all our requests and even learned a new song to play at our reception. Our guests were wowed to see him playing all his different instruments and singing. A small ding only because he played an unedited version of an Eminem song, and before 9 o'clock at that when there were still a number of little kids there, but other than that his music choices were flawless and everyone had a great time. His wireless LED lights were also reasonably priced and made such a difference in enhancing our venue. I'm really really happy that we booked Tom for our wedding, he helped really make it an amazing party.

Throughout the cocktail hour and dinner he rotated songs and played various instruments to keep guests engaged. I also provided a no-play list and thankfully he stuck to it! Tom played at my wedding 8.17.13 in Plymouth, MA. He did the wedding music for both the ceremony and reception. He was unbelievable and his musical choices made our wedding truly special. He is such a talented performer, we had our guests commenting on how wonderful he was weeks after our wedding. You get the best of both worlds with Tom he is a phenomenal musician (live band) as well as a DJ. That way towards the end of the night people can hear the songs that they "must" hear at a wedding. He is such a great guy I would recommend him again and again - thank you Tom! -Molly & Josh

I ended up not using a DJ but Tom would have been my perfect musician.

I won't lie my husband and I were a little nervous about living in Texas and hiring a DJ for our wedding in MA without meeting him. However, Tom made the process easy and simple. He was awesome every step of the way. He kept in contact with us, made sure we had songs picked out, and even gave us some suggestions. I had no doubt in my mind that he was going to make our wedding a hit. He was profesional, courteous, and extremely helpful whenever I had questions or concerns for him. During the wedding the guests and my husband and I were blown away! Our guests favorite part of the night was during cocktail hour he walked around playing the saxophone and the guitar. He DJ'ed and sang the entire night. All our songs were played, and he was just amazing. I couldn't have been happier. Tom has such talent as a performer and he was amazing the entire night. We couldn't be happier with our DJ!! YOU NEED TO BOOK TOM!!

Tom was amazing. He traveled all the way to rural CT for us. He was so accommodating. My wedding wasn't exactly typical, but Tom asked all the right questions to make sure our wishes were fulfilled and that the day ran smoothly. I had numerous people tell me, including my very experienced caterer, that they had never been to a wedding where so many people danced. Also, it's been a month since my wedding, and people are still complimenting me on our DJ and asking for his contact information. I had the best time at my wedding and danced a TON.

Tom was fantastic from day one! He tended to every single email question and concern that we had with absolute promptness. He customized his play list and ceremony music to fit us. He even taught himself a very meaningful song for my processional. Our ceremony was on a very remote part of the beach and he trudged out to the site with his equipment to provide seating and ceremony music. At cocktail hour he played live music with various instruments. When it came time for announcements he was on top of it, even though we were not. He made the day flow smoothly and recommended some last minute schedule changes to please our guests and provide a better transition into dinner. He calmed my nerves immediately upon speaking with him. His performance throughout the night was outstanding! He had me looking up a few times to see if he was spinning the song or preforming it live! I didn't know I had such a dancing crowd. He had everyone out on the dance floor, including my brand new husband who never dances. A limbo line even broke out at the end of the night and he had theme music for it. Absolute best value for the money. Music has got to be one of the best investment for an amazing wedding reception. My family and friends are still talking about it.

We loved Tom because he played live instruments and swung into DJ mode later for dancing. He was excellent!
