I got into wedding photography because I love to see people having a proud moment. There are very few rights of passage in life. There are even fewer that bring together everyone you care about in one place to celebrate. To be able to capture moments of real emotion well is incredibly gratifying. When the couple loves the result as much as I loved shoot it, that's everything. I specialize in shooting with indirect bounce flash: nice big catch lights in the eyes, and a soft, painterly gradient of shadow on the face, the kind where the photo looks beautifully lit but you might not guess there was any flash at all. In addition, I try my best to capture authentic moments. I can read the room. I like it when people feel comfortable being themselves. My own wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life. Everyone I loved, some of them who are no longer with us, all together at the same time. I look back on those photos often. It would be my pleasure to help capture and preserve some memories from what will probably be one of the best days of your life.
