't make it, I reached out to her THREE WEEKS PRIOR to my wedding. She responded immediately that she was available and the booking process was incredibly simple and she walked me through everything! The last weeks leading up to the wedding she helped with the timeline and everything to make sure nothing important got missed in the shuffle, and then day of she was INCREDIBLE!! It was almost like she wasn't even there, and when she did pose us for pictures it felt so natural and the pictures were AMAZING!! Seriously, if you want an excellent photographer that feels like family as soon as she walks in the door, choose Tonya!! She does spectacular work (my whole family and my in-laws have been raving about our wedding pictures for 2 months now and I don't think it'll ever stop, haha!)!

e first time I spoke with her on the phone to inquire her style many months before our wedding date, my gut knew that she was the right photographer for my wedding. From the start, she understood our overall vision and she was very responsive to my questions (both emails and phone calls). As a bride for the second time, I forced myself not to get lost in the many poses/inspiration boards on Pinterest for ‘must have’ pics and after meeting with Tonya in person sharing our love story, she truly captured our special intimate wedding day perfectly! She was extremely professional, fun and quirky, punctual, she gave instruction well (without being pushy or losing her patience), and an she was an overall delight to work with on our wedding day (she even had spare bobby pins available in her pocket to help with my fly away updo hair). She provided 450+ digital photos along with a short video (which continues to bring me to tears every time I watch it) in the timeframe promised (4 weeks after wedding), which were hands down outstanding and professionally done! ! Our pictures were very important to use due to the fact that all of my husband's family lives in Europe. Our wedding was the 1st time, and will probably be the only time, that both sides of our families met and will be together again all at the same time. So her capturing our moments with them all was one of the most important parts of or wedding day. She nailed it and truly is so very talented and just amazing to work with. I would recommend her to anyone looking to capture the most beautiful memories for any special occasion. Top notch lady!

I am new to this whole wedding planning thing - as I think most people are :) My one piece of advise would be to write your photograph wishlist as Tonya describes in her emails. I missed that - it helps everyone stay on the same page and understand everyone's wishes and expectations. We would definitely recommend Tonya for future projects.

As the MOB, you need your photographer to be prepared...and she is! On our special day, Tonya was the most incredible person you could want capturing all the special moments. She has priceless ability to capture the unspoken moments, things you can't specifically "ask" her to get. It's as if she is that long lost best friend that knows what moments will melt your heart in a photo! And even with her fun & relaxed vibe, she keeps everyone on target and on time! We chose Tonya for our engagement and wedding photos, and we honestly just couldn't be happier! My now husband and I both thought we were going to look "super awkward" not knowing how to pose - but Tonya assured us that she had that under control for us and we had nothing to worry about... that our job was just to have fun with it. Other than certain family/formal shots for the wedding day, I'm thankful we also let her run with what she felt would work great for our engagement and wedding pictures - she's the expert and came up with ideas for photos that I wouldn't have ever thought of! She's super sweet and responsive, was detailed about all our options, helpful in coming up with a timeline for the wedding day, plus much more. She even helped me get all of the family under control because a few showed up later and our timeline ran off from the start - she got us back on track and still got us the pictures that she knew we'd want to have. Also, if you love light she is so great at having an eye for finding it! We took a quick detour to a nearby pond that would help catch a sunset I would have totally missed for our engagement pics... those particular pics I call "our Nicolas Sparks book cover pics" because that's what they look like with the lighting she caught :) As a hard core researcher when it comes to pretty much everything, I love to write reviews especially when things are great like this! If you decide to go with Tonya you can rest assured you're in great hands for any type of pictures (she also does sweet baby pics!). If you also don't know what kind of shots to ask for, trust her to let her run with it because she just knows what you'll wish you had later! My husband is very hard to impress and hard to get a reaction from, and he was really impressed by Tonya and her talent too!! Another happy couple here!!! She did an amazing job getting to know us as a couple, and she was focused on making our engagement session and wedding day experiences with her fun. s!!! I was in a wedding where Ms. Beaver was hired for photography. We were all gathering brides maids and groomsmen to take pics with the bride and groom. As we are lining up for this pictures Ms. Beaver decides that is it a good idea to SNAP her fingers less than an inch away from my face to get my attention like I was a CHILD....I don't treat my own children that way, let alone a complete stranger. When I questioned why she did that she proceeded to blow me off and walk away from me. This is not how a business owner should conduct business... I understand that gathering that many people together to take a picture may be difficult but there are soooooo many other methods she could have chosen other then to snap her fingers in my face. Also please next time that you make a mistake like this and you want to apologize for it, you should say it to the person you were being disrespectful towards and NOT his wife and brother...Please learn how to conduct yourself as a real professional and not some prima donna, your behind the camera not in front of it!!!

The way in which she captures every laugh, every tear, every heart felt moment is what takes her experience to the next level. Something that I've never seen any other photographer do before is take still shots along with video clips. During both our engagement session and also during the wedding day Tonya was taking video clips of the candid moments that we would cherish for a lifetime. The video clips help to paint the picture of the story and ties in all the still shots. I absolutely love the slideshows that Tonya put together for us. I cry every time I watch them. My husband and I are so thankful for Tonya and look forward to contacting her for our maternity, newborn and family photo sessions. fall. Tonya was incredibly flexible in this regard and was happy to reschedule us once we knew when he’d be up and walking around again. At the session this fall, she was incredibly attentive and enthusiastic. She made it very easy to be in front of the camera, and the nervousness I felt before she arrived evaporated. When selecting back drops and poses, she was encouraging, kind and incredibly creative. We were so very happy with our session, and we plan on having her take our family portrait with our dogs next spring. My husband and I got just got married on March 5, 2016 and I spent over 1.5 years planning our wedding. During that time, I spent a lot of time working with Tonya and getting to know her. Tonya and her office manager, Amber, were always quick at answering all my questions and emails, they were always super helpful and friendly, and even gave me great tips and advice on helping me with other aspects of wedding planning. My husband and I had met with several other photographers before we met with Tonya. I already knew she does great work after viewing almost all the pictures on her blog and I knew she was going to be the photographer for us after just 5 minutes of meeting her. Tonya is unbelievably sweet and funny and I knew she would be a joy to work with and I was absolutely right! She made us feel completely at ease during our engagement shoot and the pictures turned out great. She was absolutely wonderful at the wedding. She kept us on time, she made sure I got all the shots I wanted for the wedding, and she was great at working with my huge family as well. She made me laugh when I felt overwhelmed and stress and she helped to keep me calm and at ease. I highly, highly recommend Tonya and her team. After doing a really great boudoir session with Tonya, I decided to cancel my previously booked photographer and hire Tonya 3 months before my wedding. While Tonya was a great deal more expensive, I would absolutely say it was well worth the cost and I would make the same decision if I had to do it again. I love my wedding photos and I will cherish them for the rest of my life. Tonya will be our family photographer for as long as we live in Jacksonville.

She remained calm, helped me focus, breathe, and was always there but never in my way. We had a pretty large wedding party and huge families and these ladies had no problem keeping them in line! :) There were a couple fiascos with my other vendors (my florist brought all the wrong flowers and my DJ wasn't awesome) and Tonya & Amber were my go-to’s for suggestions, fixes, or reassurance. In case they weren't amazing enough... on my birthday, just a few weeks after the wedding, Tonya gave me a gift certificate good for "one relaxed, stress free session with you and Matt to include hair and make-up and the bouquet you asked for but didn't get". I have never in my life heard of a photographer offering someone an entirely separate shoot because the other vendors messed up. So tomorrow I get to wear my wedding dress for the second time(!!!!) and make new memories with my hubby all thanks to Tonya. If you've come across this review - don't look any further. You've found your photographer. :)

t I call her expertise, night time shots. We were able to capture four different areas with little to no light. They turned out amazing and were my favorites. She kept us at ease all day and couldn't have been better to work with. At the end of the day all you have left are your pictures. Please, take the time and get her to do your pictures. Example: I am an older first time bride (46) and my mom wanted a special family photo, which seems simple but based on the venue and size of my family (who are spazzes to get together), it was not and Tonya pulled it off without sacrificing anything else. She is about getting you what you want so you will have your special day memorialized forever. I can recount countless examples of what she and her team did but at the end of the day, she does the work herself, she is there from start to after finish, her work is incredible and on your special day when you are possibly nervous, sick, worried about what is going on and then everyone picking at you, Tonya gets you where you need to be, gets the natural shots of who you and you husband are even when you are glammed up! Getting married is costly and when I had to look at what was important for fund allocation, it was making sure the day was captured so I could look at a photo, like what I saw and have it come rushing back.
