he day. We were genuinely excited to have them there. During the day, DJ Mike was so effective, helpful, and so much fun. The sound at our ceremony was perfect: there were no hiccups with any of the equipment, and the ambiance was immaculate. DJ Mike was the perfect mix of flexible, available and focused. Throughout his MCing of the evening he was so available to all our needs, maintaining a warm atmosphere towards our guests and a gentle, and firm protection of our vision (from unruly family members). He was a total ray of sunshine during our wedding and our guests still talk about him, almost a year out from the event. In fact, we have repeatedly heard from our guests that our dance floor was the most fun dance floor of any wedding they'v been to. He created the most INCREDIBLE hora I could have imagined, and an experience that will forever be enshrined in our family history. lus-hour playlist, over 20 songs not to play, and a pretty specific vibe we were hoping to create. He took all of that, understood exactly what we were going for, and then made the night feel effortless. We trusted him to play the right music at the right time, and he completely delivered.
Mike was incredible at reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor going without anything feeling forced. He also coordinated perfectly with the musician we had during cocktail hour, so everything moved seamlessly throughout the night.
One small detail we really appreciated was their custom whitewood DJ booth, which fit beautifully with our venue, The Wilburton Inn, and looked so much better than a standard DJ setup.
We truly could not have been happier. Top Hat Entertainment was professional, thoughtful, fun, and a huge part of why our wedding felt so special.

ng for info about what music we wanted and we sent playlists and a "do not play" list as well. Communication was easy and we felt like we were able to give all information needed without being inundated with decision fatigue. Sound for the ceremony and cocktail hour was great - no technical issues. For dancing, Darren figured out the vibe of the party pretty quickly and catered the music to what was getting the crowd going. I remember at one point, the photographer wanted to take us for more photos and had to ask Darren to put on a less exciting song so we would be willing to leave the dancefloor :)
Photobooth was great. They set up a backdrop and fun props for our guests. It was definitely well-utilized!
And I would recommend adding the uplighting. It wasn't all that expensive and definitely made the dance floor feel more like a party!

We had several dance sets of more traditional wedding and then the final hour was dedicated to just bangers. Everyone came up to us after and couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had!! Literally everyone in the wedding was dancing the entire night!! Their photo booth was also perfect for what we wanted and we had our guests add them all into a wedding album for us to cherish for the rest of our lives. Mark, called us the week of the wedding to go over details. Mark was so wonderful and easy to work with- and he knew our venue well which made working with other vendors and the day of coordination super simple. The sound during the ceremony and the reception was beautiful and Mark did a great job with timing of songs and entrances and anything we thought of. I had the grooms people do a t-shirt toss as the entrance, which Mark announced and made it clear and easy for everyone!
We also loved our photo booth and will cherish those fun memories for years to come.

We had the pleasure of working with Mike from the initial consultation call, through the contracting period, and until we were assigned a DJ for our event. Mike is engaging, enthusiastic, flexible, accommodating, and kind. His knowledge and expertise (and willingness to work alongside/collaborate with other musicians for a portion of our wedding day) really sold us on Top Hat. Can you, perhaps, find a cheaper DJ out there? Sure. Do you get what you pay for? 1000%. This brings me to our wedding day.
Mark DJ'ed on our big day and let me tell you: he DELIVERED. About 3 weeks before the wedding, he spent over an hour with us on the phone. He meticulously reviewed all of the details with us, including how he would mic us for the ceremony, introduce us into the reception, how he would splice the song we want played for the cake cutting. He reviewed our 'Must Play' songs and 'Do Not Play' lists... he even worked with us on the fly to create a cut of our first dance song during the call. W.O.W. Mark also went ahead and created an 'In Case of Emergency' playlist to cover the selections that the String Quartet was meant to play for ceremony/cocktail hour in the event they couldn't attend due to a weather event (we got married during the winter season here in VT, so this was very much a reality-based concern). I mean, how above-and-beyond. Mark was just so detail-oriented and thoughtful. We could really tell that he cared deeply about making sure everything was perfect. And then, guess what? It was!! He seamlessly executed every single thing we talked about. No notes. On top of that, he brought a delightful, vibrant, and fun energy to our day. I can't say enough good things about him and Top Hat. Choose Top Hat if you want the highest quality entertainment on one of the most important days of your life.

Our goal for our wedding was to have a DJ that faded into the background but played music the crowd would love, and that's just what we got. For the ceremony, they mixed music based on our requests to ensure nothing went too long, they were very happy to trim down our first dance and father/daughter dance so they weren't 5 minutes each, and those mixes sounded like the songs were meant to be that way. We had guests as young as 1 1/2 and up to mid-70s dancing. Damon knew what to play based on who was on the dance floor and we never felt a lull from the crowd. attendant, Megan, was awesome! I had a backdrop put together, but it was too short, so she took it apart and put it back together perfectly to make sure it was at the right height. She also took the time to save extra copies of the photos our guests took so we had them. There were several times where I’d catch her singing along to the music, dancing, and just looking genuinely happy to be there. What an absolute pleasure!
The magic mirror is super cool because not only can you print copies for everyone taking photos, but they also send you a link to access digital copies of all of the photos taken! I’m so glad we decided to utilize Top Hat and they were great to work with!!

o weave all the songs together in a masterful way that kept people of all ages dancing the entire night (seriously no one wanted to a take break and miss a song)! He matched the vibe of our wedding perfectly and brought amazing energy when announcing the bridal party, speeches, and dances. He also crushed the music played during our dinner. He was super easy to work with and was familiar with our venue which was an added bonus! The rest of the Top Hat crew (Mike + Heather) made booking so seamless and got us excited for our big day. g their whole staff were amazing. We initially had a call with Mike and his energy really got us excited for our wedding, even though it was still 10 months away! We communicated with Heather over email when questions came up and we realized we needed to extend our time. Our wedding DJ was Mark, and he saved the day! He’s worked closely with our Justice of the Peace, and he realized we had mismatched introductions. He also helped get our first dance song cut down, so we didn’t have to dance for 4 minutes! From there he did a great job keeping the energy up and had people on the dance floor all night long. He was such a huge part of making our wedding as memorable as it was! We couldn’t recommend them enough.

w York and the morning after we realized that we had moved the dance floor 8 INCHES from it's original position with how hard the DJ had everyone dancing. The same dance floor that it took 10 people to lift and carry into place! If that's not a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is. Book them!!

Top Hat came recommended, and with good reason. They were great to communicate with, the photo mirror was a HUGE hit, and our DJ read the room and worked in songs very organically....
We had a small wedding, but he kept the dance floor moving all night!
