ow all of the flavors were so delicious and weren’t that sugary or sweet as other places. When my husband and I decided to go with a Boston cream pie flavor, Jamaica was so open to making adjustments and creating as close as possible to a Boston cream pie. It was so good I wish we still have some! She was also very helpful and open to different ideas in decorating the outside of the cake-i loved how we would brainstorm ideas together and then she would sketch out a drawing and send it to me. Since I was living in Florida and was only in LA sporadically, she made it easy to design a cake via email! Also you could pay the deposit over the phone which was nice! She was very sweet and nice and a wonderful baker! You should hire her if you want a beautiful cake and one that tastes delicious!

idn't cost a fortune and then I came across Top Tier Treats. They were so easy and pleasant to deal with (shout out to Laura) and answered every one of my questions. They have take-away cake tasting box so you can choose from the comfort of your home, complete with different cake flavors and frosting/filling options. Beware, you might end up in a sugar coma after choosing. We ended up getting 8 dozen cupcakes in red velvet and carrot cake (6 of which were vegan at no extra charge) and a small ceremonial cake. For a small extra fee they delivered all this in perfect condition up to the mountains in Malibu.

views of Jamaica at Top Tier Treats so my mom scheduled a cake tasting with her. She was so nice and let me FaceTime my mom during the tasting so that I could see all the flavors and ask questions. My mom got to taste a bunch of different cake flavors and frosting flavors, and it's nice Jamaica gives the frostings and cakes in separate containers so that you can taste a bunch of different combos together. We went with 2 different flavors. One layer was Vanilla Butter Cake with white chocolate mousse and fresh berries. The other layer was Chocolate cake with alternating chocolate mousse and raspberry mousse with raspberry puree. Jamaica was able to draw out a mock up of the cake design I wanted with me over Facetime and do it exactly how we wanted. We kept it simple and had our florist leave flowers that Jamaica beautifully set up on the cake. The first time we tasted her cakes was at our wedding during the cake cutting, and you should see my face, I was shocked because the cake was INCREDIBLE. I kept eating more of it. The vanilla/white with berries was my favorite and absolutely incredible, but the chocolate was really delicious too. Cannot recommend Top Tier Treats enough!

t had the city skyline that looked like the LA sunset...and to our amazement, she took it to the next level by not only giving us the LA skyline at sunset but recreated the image from our invitations! Top Tier Treats blew our minds! Not only was the cake and pies we purchased from them delicious, they were food for your eyes! It made our cake a true accent of our wedding! Not only are their baked good to DIE FOR, Jamaica was an amazing vendor to work with! The team was easy to work with, they made us feel important, and when Jamaica says no problem TRUST her! I had been irresponsible. Not only was the cake functional, many guests mentioned this was the best cake they ever had and I have to say I agree with that assessment. She also doubles as a great shrink. I was freaking out about this cake until she told me to chill and that everything would be okay. Choose Jamaica!

I did tastings with other bakeries and the cakes were basically all unimpressive and expensive whereas Jamaica's were moist, delicious, and affordable! The staff was super easy to work with too!! She used the extra flowers I got from my florist and delivered directly to my venue without a hitch. My guests devoured my cake and I barely got any! When I told folks it was vegan they were shocked... and then they went back for seconds. Thanks Jamaica for a gorgeous cake! We'll definitely be coming back for other events and more vegan treats!

We got 3 different flavors, and everyone at our wedding raved about the cake! Also the design of our cake was so beautiful. Better than I could have imagined. She was able to execute the design I was looking for with just a few vague photos. It really was the one of the highlights of my wedding! Also Jamaica and her staff were very friendly and easy to work with. I was never stressed or worried about my wedding cake at all. Since our wedding I have already ordered another cake for my husband's birthday and I will probably order another one for our anniversary and really any accusation I can think of because that is how tasty their cakes are!

We had multiple flavors with a gorgeous white frosting and it was absolutely stunning. Not to mention affordable! I was shocked what an absolute steal it was. My florist left flowers for Jamaica to place on the cake and she did such a fabulous job. On time, good pricing, kind and professional. So thankful to not have had to worry about any issues with the cake during my planning or on my and my husbands special day :)

My only regret is that I didn't get a chance to eat more of it that night! I look forward to digging into the top tier, which we have saved for our one year anniversary. . We picked up an "At Home Tasting Kit" to mix and match flavors and in the end we picked 5 different flavors with a "semi-naked" frosting aesthetic. The cakes were SUPERB! I even had a few friends ask me who made our cakes because they wanted to use them in the future as well. Thank you Jamaica and team! Our cakes were amazing and we will definitely be stopping in for more cake soon.

There are cakes that are beyond sweet, perhaps too sweet. There are cakes that are pretty. Then, there are cakes that are made from scratch so they don’t depend only on the sweet and the pretty. They. Just. Taste. Perfect. And of course, they just the right of sweetness and so perfectly beautiful, that one of our wedding guests didn’t believe the cake was real. portant to have a good quality vegan cake that didn't taste like bland or dry. Our cake turned out perfect! Our guests preferred it over the non vegan sheet cake that was served to the non vegans. It's was so delicious and they were such a please to work with. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be using them for all future events!

ing. My husband isn't a cake kinda guy - we were considering a sundae bar and other alternative desserts and decided on a whim to check out cake options too. Luckily Jamaica offers tastings to go. We placed the order and picked up a box full of different cake flavors (I think there were 5 or 6) and about two dozen small containers of frosting. Every combination was amazing, but we did manage to settle on three layers. Our cake was made to feed 100. We had 90 people at our wedding and I have photographic evidence of people with second servings, so needless to say it was a hit. We did end up taking home most of our top layer too, so the size was perfect.

And best of all, they make you a cake on your one year anniversary instead of you having to save your top layer, which could not possible taste good after a year.

Her portfolio demonstrates her creative talent, so we were confident that executing our vision (which ended up being very simple & clean) wouldn't be an issue. But the clincher was that her cakes were delicious. My husband doesn't like sweets much and normally doesn't enjoy cake, and out of the 3-4 bakeries we visited, hers was the only one that he actually wanted to go back to and eat more cake. (We checked her out based on a friend's recommendation, whose fiance feels the same way and said the exact same thing.) Cost - lower midrange, a little cheaper than most of similar quality in the LA area. We definitely visited more expensive bakeries with lower quality product. Planning/finalization - very easy. We had up to two weeks to finalize our design, and everything was easily taken care of through phone calls and emails. Communication was prompt, friendly, and professional. Day of - cake delivery and set-up were on time and went smoothly. The cake looked better than what we imagined - Jamaica was able to execute a product that was better than we were originally thinking, and all based off vague directions and a badly drawn sketch from me. The cake was delicious, and many of our guests complimented us on taste and look.
