particular DJ/company stood out, and that was this one: Total DJ. We reached out to them, and heard back from Trevor (who I believe is the owner of the company). It was great talking with him on the phone, and we were immediately sold on having him booked for our wedding. We were able to discuss our vision for the wedding, what specific songs we wanted played, what genres of music we loved. Over the last few months, we were able to add songs to a list on their website, that we wanted played, and of course songs we didn't want played! Originally we were going to have Trevor have 3 different set-ups for our wedding, since they were in different spots at the venue: the ceremony, cocktail/patio area, and reception, but the rain had different plans. At the last minute we had to move everything to inside. As stressful as things were, we knew we didn't have to worry about Trevor getting everything situated. During the ceremony, he was able to have our officiant and I mic'd. He also made sure we were moving along as our schedule dictated. I really appreciated his dedication to ensure everything went smoothly. Later, he provided microphones to the people who wanted to give speeches. Finally he was able to play the music we loved, as well as mix in different songs that really got people out on the dancefloor. I highly recommend this DJ, especially Trevor, if you're ever having an event, especially a wedding! For those of you on the fence about getting a DJ, like we were previously, go ahead and do it! The peace of mind is priceless!

Neither myself nor my husband had strong music opinions, and Trevor was great at asking a few key questions and then taking the reins on picking the music for the whole event from cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. He also set up a whole second sound system for the ceremony with lapel mics for the officiant and groom and dance lighting for the party, and the hand held microphone for toasts. Our wedding was very DIY, and Trevor also had a ton of insight for setting up the timeline. On the day of, a lot went wrong, but he was such a calm presence. We also had a power outage at the venue and were running on a generator that was being pushed to the brink, but Trevor made it work. Thankfully, he had all the music downloaded since the wifi had gone out. Talk about prepared! As for style, he doesn't do any of the cheesy stuff, just plays great music and makes the key announcements. So So So many people kept complimenting me on the music because it was all the best dancing music you look forward to at a wedding. I had to keep telling them, I couldn't take the credit. It was all our DJ.

I don't think I've ever seen a dance floor as packed as when this group is running the show. We also booked the saxophone player and he was absolutely incredible! If I ever need a DJ again I would absolutely reach back out to them. They are friendly, fun, and completely worth the (affordable) cost. Squints was 100% reasonable and accommodating when it came to what we wanted played/said/done during our wedding. We also had pyrotechnics, our customized name on the floor, dry ice, and 4 tv's! Everything was PERFECT!!

music was completely perfect, i cannot tell you how many people were ranting and raving about how awesome the music was and the added touch of the first dance on the clouds, the specialized monogram, the TV screens playing pictures of my husband and i growing up while we danced with our parents and us dating while we did our first dance were second to none! with other vendors, they really didn’t listen to what we wanted. When we met with Mike, he sat us down and asked us what we wanted. He wasn’t pushing us into anything and listened to what we wanted and delivered in a huge way. We had a mixed of younger and older guest both American and Italian. He knew how to read the crowd and had everyone dancing most of the night. If anyone is looking for an entertainment choice for their wedding, there is no one better in the tri-state area than Total DJ Entertainment Group. Thank you Mike for the amazing work.

Our guests are raving about how much fun they had and how it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding! Mike and his team are so talented and amazing at what they do, I would 1000000% recommend them for your wedding or any event!

I was about to be announced with my Husband and was approached by someone I’d never met who asked me questions about the party that we had gone over extensively with Mike. This completely threw me off and was a very upsetting way to start my wedding celebration. In addition to not keeping his word, he hired a photo booth worker who stole gift envelopes from us!! He is not to be trusted and I would never recommend him to anyone. I regret giving him the benefit of the doubt (after reading a few reviews saying he doesn’t show) and hope that no one else has to deal with what we did.

When my mother approached the DJ and told him this is not what we wanted he rolled his eyes and said well how am I supposed to know. On top of that we paid for a photo booth which had a closed sign taped to it half the night. The DJ approached us at the end of the night and apologized for not meeting our expectations and seemed genuine but I would not recommend this company.

being the bride and all I’d be tired after a long day but no, I couldn’t help it…the music was amazing !! Everyone was on the dance floor from beginning to end! We had a big wedding too, (285 to be exact) and Mike kept the party going and everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. The day after people came up to us and said how much they loved the music and didn’t want the night to end! I just want to add something.. wedding planning is honestly the most stressful thing but Total Dj Entertainment was the only vendor that was the EASIEST to plan with. Working with Mike prior to the wedding was a blessing! He was so professional and listened to what we wanted and did not want. We also had an Albanian band and he knew what to do and worked so well with them!! What a class act! I highly recommend, you won’t regret it!

e first vendor we met with after becoming engaged, as we had been to PLENTY of functions DJ’d by his team in the past. From the moment we sat in his office, we knew our wedding day would be exceptional. Throughout the entire 2 year journey of wedding planning, he reassured us that the day would be one to remember. We had family members from Australia, Italy, Portugal and Brazil; older folks, young children, and everything in between! My godchild performed a solo on her ukulele, and my brother dedicated a beautiful video to us - he was able to weave these special moments in beautifully. He had everyone on the dance floor. He took the effort at coming to know US as a couple, and made every moment intimate and everlasting. Mike - we could not say enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

The dance floor was packed! Our photo booth attendant actually asked me (the bride) if i was a dance teacher because he said he’s never been to a wedding where the bride dances and jumps around the whole time! People didn’t want to leave the floor including myself! My groom NEVER DANCES and he was on the floor all night dancing! Total dj entertainment made my dream wedding come true, Michael was over the top accommodating with me the whole time, we booked him first, a year and a half in advance and that whole time he communicated with me assuring me whatever i wanted he could do.. and he exceeded my expectations. The night of the wedding i sat in our room and cried as well as the next morning because i couldn’t believe how perfect it actually went. In fact i had SO MUCH FUN that I’m sure if anything did go wrong, i wasn’t even paying attention because everyone and i mean everyone was dancing and having the best time. Thank you Michael and total dj entertainment, i will NEVER ever EVER use a different dj company again. I am currently looking for an excuse to have another reason to book you guys! You made my dreams come true. And i will remember our night and you guys forever. You started our marriage out perfect for us and we will forever be grateful for that. a lot of the groups there that did demonstrations looked cheesy or tacky. My husband has then suggested using Total DJ Entertainment since they had done his sister's wedding about eight years ago and he wanted to use them since they had entertained their family before and kept them happy with music selection. We initially met with Michael at their home office upstate. He was very genuine and professional. He wanted to make sure that our wedding ended up perfect. He walked us through all the different packages they offered and we decided to opt for the platinum package. The platinum package included the nice name monogram and light up Dj booth a four television set up, so our guests would be able to see the photo montage. They also had played cocktail hour music to keep our guests entertained before the reception. Michael was very organized by giving us a worksheet to list the introductions, songs and what to play and not play in the night to fill out, so he knew how to make our reception perfect. Michael was our master of ceremony (MC) for the night along with the DJ and one other assistant for the photo montage. Michael did a fantastic job with helping host the reception as the MC. Him and his crew helped keep our family and friends entertained. Our friends and family had nothing but good things to say about how Total DJ Entertainment was able to keep the night going on without a dull moment. They also did a great job of the photo montage mixing Micheal Buble’s “I Believe In You” with the photos we provided. We loved how everything turned out and would recommend them to anyone.

for our wedding. When we arrived to the venue, Mike, sent two DJs that we never met. My husband had to go over the wedding timeline and songs with them during our wedding. We got a violinist through Mike for our ceremony. The violinist was very good during the seating and entrance for the ceremony. However, we requested a specific song for our recession. My husband repeatedly asked Mike if this was going to be possible, however, during our recession, the violinist played over a recording of a song instead of a violin solo. This upset my husband greatly and he would have changed the song if he knew that the violinist couldn't do it. Mike was very accommodating and answered emails quickly. Mike and I created an amazing mashup for the father of the bride dance. He also created a nice photo montage of my husband and I. Overall, the DJs that were sent kept our dance floor busy and everybody enjoyed them.

In fact, we were verbally told it cost more money to specifically have him there, which we paid because we liked him. Come wedding day, without warning, he didn’t show up and sent two people that we had never spoken to before in his place. That was stressful enough, but then we had to spend time throughout our wedding night going over the details with the new people, that we’d already gone over in our pre-wedding meeting with the owner, which was annoying. The final nail in the coffin was the DJ playing the wrong song for my dance with my stepdad (I requested You’ve Got A Friend by James Taylor, I got the Toy Story theme song “You’ve Got a Friend”), not what I was looking for and really upsetting as it ruined the dance for me. I personally wouldn't use them again. Entertainment is an important part of a wedding and I wouldn't want anyone to be blindsided like we were.

I left the recession song and entrance song up to him and I couldn’t have asked for a better selection. He literally read my mind and did exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend to anyone!
