We used Total Entertainment DJs for several different services - DJ, Coordination, Photobooth, Serving staff, dance floor lighting, & dance lessons. They did an excellent job at ev...
erything!! Cliff was super helpful and met with us several times throughout the planning process, as well as his coordinator, Melynda. Cliff has been working in the wedding industry for a long time and he is super knowledgeable. Gary was our DJ and he did such a great job - our dance floor was full ALL night long! Melynda was amazing and made our day run so smoothly. The photobooth was a huge hit - they supplied a ton of props, a youtube video, an online album & an amazing guest book with each photo and notes from our guests - we will treasure it forever! Cliff also provided 3 servers to help out our caterer for the night and they did such an amazing job from start to finish. Cliff also recommended his son for our bartending services and he was great to work with as well. We had a friend officiate our wedding, but Cliff also does that as well if you are interested. Cliff also has an extensive dance background and offers dance lessons. He gave us a lesson a few days before our wedding tailored to our first dance song so we felt much more comfortable on the dance floor at our wedding. If you are looking for a one stop shop that won't break the bank - look no further!
We hired this service by recommendation of our venue, we also liked that they would provide the photobooth and dj services. Gary did the actual Dj'ing on the night of and was great...
; however, they spelled the groom's name wrong on the PHOTOBOOTH strip. I sent them some emails and got no response. I feel like that is VERY unprofessional of them, if they paid as much attention to the details as they did to trying to get me to pay for a $269 light (which I did pay on day of and my entire balance had already been paid in advance as of that time) things would probably go better.
I contacted Cliff from total entertainment DJs for my wedding in July 2016. I found him to be a little aggressive over the phone, but over all I was happy with the service. The D...
J who performed was another man named Garry. Garry met with me right before the ceremony to go over the schedule and some last minute details, which I appreciated. We only had him play during the reception due to our budget. I was so glad we were able to have a limited "music playing" time because it did work so well with our budget. A lot of other DJ companies I looked at required a minimum time in order to hire them for an event, and usually that put them out of our price range. The only thing I would say as far as criticism is that during the reception guests were starting to get antsy and leave while still wanting to wait for Garry to announce the bouquet toss, and cake cutting, and so on. Whether that was him not reading the crowd very well, or me not communicating clearly, I don't know. I did have to go over to the DJ table several times to ask him to announce things when it the party started to feel a bit stagnant. All in all the night was a success. I enjoyed all the music with the exception of Blurred lines, by Robin Thicke, lets please Not support rape culture at my wedding... thanks.
Cliff runs the place and does a great job! He even helped us with our first dance. Gary was the DJ, and everyone at my party raved about him. We were dancing ALL NIGHT! He was a...
perfect blend of an MC and DJ. I would recommend him to anyone!
Cliff and Alan were great and fun. Cliff was a good dancing teacher. He made me and my husband danced :-). Alan was a fun DJ. Our guest enjoyed so much and had a great time.
Our venue recommended Cliff and Total Entertainment and we were very pleased with their quality and work ethic! Cliff was very thorough in our meetings and gave us a heads up on th...
e timeline details and all the music options we could choose to make our wedding fun and exciting. I never knew how much detail went into picking music—it was a bit overwhelming but Cliff and Hyara were helpful in giving us music lists of popular songs and suggestions to help us make our timeline. Great communication via email and made it easy to ask last minute questions or concerns! We had DJ Gary work our event and he did great! Our guests were dancing and on their feet all night long! He played our requests and even interacted with our guests such as the cupid shuffle and the chapel cake cutting-- making our wedding unforgettable! He was very easy going and demonstrated great customer service! A DJ/Musician can make or break your wedding if they are not engaging the crowd. I would highly recommend Gary and Cliff from Total Entertainment!
Cliff Housego is the owner of this Dj company as well an an officiant. When we were DJ shopping for our August 3rd wedding we decided to get this company because my husband just wa...
nted to work with one company and this company had an officiant, djs, emcees and a photobooth. Cliff was late for our first 2 meetings and therefore gave us discounts for his services. (We now feel that discounts may have allowed them to view our wedding as unimportant). During the course of our wedding planning, we met with cliff who helped us plan our ceremony and reception. Cliff has told us of past weddings where his staff have announced the wrong names and I dreaded this so much. My gut feeling was that things were not going to go well during the wedding. And I was right. My husband and I told Cliff from the beginning we were going to do our own vows and during the ceremony, he forgot and we had to remind him during the ceremony. Cliff also made it sound like him and the DJs have gotten together and prepared for the wedding, however, during the reception, things were going wrong left and right. Cliff stated our reception was very complicated, however, the "complicated parts" went well, but it was the rest that was most important to my husband and I that went wrong. The slideshow that was supposed to show family pictures of my deceased grandfather during my slow dance with my godfather did play correctly. They messed up the entrance song for us as well as our first dance song. We had given them a list of songs to play during the cocktail hour, dinner and dance. However, this list was not followed and we had to keep telling the djs to change the dance songs because we wanted to keep the energy going. Our wedding was Mexican/Filipino and so were created a list to join both families together on the dance floor. The entire program during the reception didn't go as planned, but we still made our wedding fun despite these glitches. we were just incredibly disappointed in cliff and his staff. I even sent him and his assistant an email about our feedback and we did not receive a response back. (Oh and our jpg logo on our photobooth picture looked like it was placed on top of an existing word). We really regret receiving cliff and his company's services. We also regret not having our wedding coordinator meet with him and his staff because there was miscommunication between them. We cannot recommend this company to others.
We had Gary and he was great!!! We didnt want anyone loud and obnoxious. Gary was very nice and got the crowd dancing!! We had a great time with him.
Owner Cliff Housego and our DJ Gary Ransom really know what they are doing. They were professional, cost-affordable, and most of all really love what they do. It is straightforwa...
rd, professional service. Their motto was, "We want you to feel like a guest at your own wedding". We did!
Two other things that went beyond my expectations:
1) They suggested some things for the reception that were really great -- inviting guests to join the couple and bridal party on the dance floor early in the reception, choosing music that helped the evening flow really well and "prepare" people for the dancing, and encouraging us to make it our own (they don't play music you don't ask them to). They cater to you. Our DJ prepared well for the evening so it flowed great. The dance floor was filled the whole night. They know what they are doing!
2) FLEXIBILITY. We loved Gary Ransom as our DJ. He is clear in his words and direction leading the event very clearly without being too big of a "presence" or to "schmaltzy". We used the DJ services for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception which was no problem and cost $1200 for an unlimited period of time. They had all of the best equipment and we even saw them the day before stop by just to review the site. They didn't haggle with the prices for each item -- just one solid price -- and said they would "play all night". We had to tell the DJ to go home!
A great deal and high quality.
