s nearly $3,000 — and that was with a discount for my dress not being ready on time. I spent over six months going back and forth for fittings, and each time I showed up, nothing had been done. Despite visiting over 10 times, my dress was never ready, and every single visit was met with excuses and a new delayed pick-up date. The level of professionalism was absolutely shocking. The day I finally picked it up, I was forced to wait another 2 hours while multiple workers were rushing to finish my dress. This is probably why my bustle broke during my reception. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Completely unprofessional and unreliable. Save yourself the frustration and find someone else.

ell in love with it at the bridal shop. This was very stressful experience for me as it was a very form fitting and detail oriented dress with lace and sequins throughout its entirety. After picking it up from the place I bought it, and the first few fittings, I thought I had picked the wrong dress! But Rosa and her team did an incredible job and transformed it into everything I fell in love with and more! My dress fit like a glove, and I was even able to take the straps off to dance the night away and it fit so well my non-strapless dress was able to convert into a strapless dress that continued to fit like a glove comfortably all night long. I truly could not have wished for a better seamstress to alter my dream dress for my dream wedding. There were a lot of emotions I carried throughout this process, from trying to feel comfortable in a form fitting dress when I do not usually wear fitted clothes, to trying to get a dress to fit a larger chest when the rest of my body is more petite, to seeing it with all the lace off so they could fit it to me perfectly before stitching it all back together, to then seeing the final product be everything I ever dreamed of! Every team member made me feel comfortable and at ease, and Rosa knew exactly what exercise tips to share to get certain spots looking exactly how I wanted, and was able to help me feel more comfortable in my own skin. I drove an hour to and from dress fittings countless times coming from Boston, but I am so happy I went with Touch of Design based on a friends recommendation! It sure was worth all the miles I drove!! I will continue going to Touch of Design for all my future alterations!

I contacted Touch of Design and was grateful that Rosa was able to do the alterations. Rosa was thoughtful, kind and listened to my requests for alterations. She also shared her suggestions. Rosa is an expert in her craft. She earned my trust on our first encounter. She expertly tailored my gown to perfection. She took the time to video her bustling the dress so my daughter has a reference on the day of the wedding. I left my last fitting feeling beautiful in an expertly tailored gown. Rosa and her team were wonderful and far surpassed my expectations.

When I went to see Rosa, she immediately quieted my concern and redid the entire back zipper to create a shape that fit me in a way that was even more beautiful than the original. With all of my bridesmaids living far away, Rosa's team filmed themselves doing my bustle as a guide for my girls on the big day. Just one of many examples of this team going above and beyond. I had it fitted, and a bustle added, and they provided amazing recommendations throughout the whole process. There were multiple follow up appointments to ensure everything still fit perfectly. The final appointment, I was shown how to do the bustle, as well as had a video taken to show my bridesmaids who would help me. It was easy to do, and the dress made me feel like a goddess on my wedding day. Not only do I HIGHLY recommend coming here for alterations, I will also be going back for any further alterations needed in the future.

business seem reputable, but this appears to be a cover for her shoddy work. From January to just last weekend, my sister had over 10 fittings here. Multiple times throughout this process and especially more towards the end, Rosa would constantly ask us to send her photos and notes of alterations to make. Yet, she would never reference these and then forget that these were sent by the time the next fitting rolled around. The red flags appeared when she would request these since this should be her job to notate, keep track of, and review between fittings. Along with this, Rosa would tack on additional charges that brought the bill close to $2k by the end of this nightmare. When the final fitting arrived, the dress had zero progress since the previous fitting. The alterations that we had discussed countless times with Rosa were not implemented. Something as simple as a twisted strap that had been bothering my sister for months was still untouched. We shared our anxieties with Rosa and Fiona (one of her employees) and they claimed it would be all done for pickup. To our dismay and utter disappointment, this was not the case. Upon pickup 10 days later, the dress looked exactly the same. The entire bodice section looked butchered and like two separate pieces instead of that delicate, stunning dress that we originally brought to this place. After we heavily expressed our shock and questioned Rosa, she said she would tweak the dress within the span of a day and a half. When we came back that same weekend, Rosa did a rush job on my sister's dress to get it to a more finished, yet still incomplete state. Some of the floral appliqué was still upright, the cups weren't sewn in (we didn't trust Rosa at this point and she wasn't positioning these correctly), and it wasn't steamed. She had the audacity to not even express her apologies and didn't compensate through a refund. In fact, she demanded that we pay her for the full remaining balance after our entire ordeal (dress wasn't complete by the contractual date and wasn't done to how we agreed it should look). We were forced to pay Rosa for the hem and bustle, which weren't done correctly by her. Since we picked it up last weekend, we had to bring it to another seamstress to fix and complete the remaining alterations. Thankfully this new seamstress was able to take my sister's dress last-minute and noted that she has to fix what Rosa had done and finally complete this dress to how it should be. The true icing on the cake is that Rosa admitted to me that she doesn't inspect and look at the work that her staff does on the garments, which is highly UNPROFESSIONAL. How can a business owner allow this work to slip by and feel like it's okay? Then, she doesn't feel compelled to make it right for the customer. It is evident that she is a huge money-grubber with no care for her faults and the customer experience. In my opinion, Rosa masquerades her business as one that is top-notch, when the opposite is actually true. As my sister said, Rosa should consider rebranding her store to "Touch of Lies."

ing. Initially, the business seemed professional, but this turned out to be a facade to lure in brides. The owner, Rosa, uses excessive flattery during fittings. I attended around 10 fittings with Rosa, and by April, I noticed she was adding extra charges, claiming more work was needed than originally discussed. The prices were heavily inflated, and she charged whatever she felt at the time—there was no clear pricing list. Throughout the process, very little work was done on the dress despite these multiple fittings. Rosa even asked my mom and sister to take notes on what needed to be done like her assistants, which was bizarre. I sent reference photos via email and text throughout the process, but at the final fitting and pickup date, Rosa asked for the same photos again, proving she wasn’t referencing them. This led to my dress looking drastically different than what we had discussed. I repeatedly pointed out issues that still needed to be fixed, only to be told they would be handled at the final fitting. However, at that fitting, the dress was in terrible shape and unaltered (8 months into them having the dress)—split into two pieces, missing buttons, and with straps sewn on incorrectly. Despite all these issues, Rosa assured us everything would be fixed by the pickup date on 8/16. However, when we arrived for pickup, nothing had been done. I had called earlier that week, and my mom spoke directly with Rosa, both of us confirming that the dress was being worked on and would be ready. But when we arrived, the dress was untouched. I was upset and vocalized my concerns. Rosa lied and did not deliver, despite having over 8 months to do the work. She gaslighted us all week about the dress being ready, which was unacceptable. When I went for the new pickup date, we spent another 2+ hours pointing out unresolved issues. Rosa still demanded an additional $580 on top of the $1,260 we had already paid, bringing the total cost close to $2,000—almost the price of the dress itself. Despite the missed deadlines and the incomplete work, Rosa refused a refund or any sort of discount, showing she doesn't believe in righting her wrongs. I explained that this was outrageous to ask for the full amount and still not have things done as they should be. She simply shut down and said, “you have to pay, and I don’t care.” We paid. She stopped looking at us in the eye and kept pointing to the credit card reader. If you are a bride who had a good experience, I’m happy for you. Unfortunately, our experience, along with that of many other brides, was extremely negative. Rosa hides away dissatisfied brides and tries to smooth things over when other customers are present, covering up the truth that her work is missing and her promises empty. For future brides, I urge you not to ignore the bad reviews. This ordeal could have been avoided if the work had been done correctly and on time. Instead, Rosa crammed 8 months of work into 2 days, and it shows. An alterations business should be run professionally, not like a kid who forgot to do their homework. Rosa also doesn't work on the dresses. She's there at the fittings and that's about it. She's the face of the company and her workers have a free-for-all on your expensive gowns. I wish I knew that before I hired her.

She not only alters it, but she designs the alterations with you, every step of the process. Rosa is transparent with pricing, especially with each adjustment along the way. She does her best to give you multiple alteration options to work within your budget. She cared for every detail to make sure it was the perfect fit. Aside from her talent, she is incredibly kind and puts your needs first. She goes out of her way to spend as much time as you need during the appointments and offers for you to come as often as you want for fittings. She made me feel so confident in my wedding gown and I look back on pictures with so much appreciation for her craft. I cannot recommend Rosa enough!

o give it back. She went to all of the clients in the shop telling them how rude I was and shoving the dress in everyone’s face. Communication - Rosa is a master gaslighter. Minimizing blatant destruction of your dress into “this is part of my process” And when caught in lies and deception, she reacts in anger and retaliation. Quality - in 8 weeks a $10,000 dress has been deconstructed and now has a hole in the bodice-right between your breasts - it is missing the beautiful Hand sewn flowers and delicate beading; the dress no longer fits or hangs properly . When we challenged the hole - she claimed it was NOT a hole and demanded to see photo proof of hole. What else has been ruined is tbd because we are at a new tailor. Closing: We called to give notice we would be picking up the dress and her services were no longer needed. She confirmed it would be ready. When we arrived the dress was not ready as she had panicked, and started to work on it - assume to cover up the hole. At arrival she refused to give me the dress. She wanted money - I said the deposit should cover the work since most of the work so far was her having to fix what she had ruined. I asked if I paid - would she give me the dress. She confirmed she would. When I paid her - she again refused to give me the dress until I signed a paper. I challenged the need but she was not giving me the dress back so relented. Signing “unfinished” with my signature. She then refused to accept my signature and demanded to see my license. I signed again but her pen wasn’t working. She refused that. It was surreal. **this is one of your well decorated vendors and should be removed before she ruins someone else’s dress**

since I was in middle school- she is so incredibly skilled as a seamstress! She does not rest until she knows that every small detail is exactly right. She made my dress fit better than I could have even imagined. And the fit and bustle were so comfortable on my wedding day. She cares so much for her clients, and that deep care is so evident in her work and in our times together during the fitting. She even helped me find jewelry and a veil! Also, Rosa’s entire team is so skilled and wonderful. They completely took the stress out of the process, because I knew how talented and professional they were. I recommend Rosa and her team so highly!

Her services don't stop there though - she built the most STUNNING bustle, the Rosa bustle, that tucked up under my dress and still allowed me to show off my beautiful skirt and the button design. It was exactly what I envisioned! Rosa also took a veil I bought off Amazon and altered it to look bridal and elegant. Finally, she altered my Mom's dress as well - she had visited another shop closer to home beforehand who sent her home with a horribly altered dress that didn't fit her at all. Rosa was more than happy to come to the rescue. That is what makes her and Touch of Design so special. They are here for their brides, no matter what.
