e sure it was absolutely perfect before my wedding day. We discussed my vision for the dress and what she thought would be best and went over each thing she was doing with me so I never had questions or doubts. On my last fitting I wanted something taken in a bit more and she had it done in a few days with no issue at all. She is fantastic and well worth the money!

Rosa’s meticulous process does require a number of fittings (I had 4 or 5), but she is so worth the time and money because she will carefully alter your dress to fit you perfectly!! I was overwhelmed by picking a wedding dress seamstress, and I am so grateful for Rosa and Touch of Design!

ter for my April 2023 wedding, months in advance, as I wanted to make many changes to it. At the time, I wasn’t 100% sure I loved, or even liked my dress (which I shared with her). During my first appointment, she asked if I intended on losing weight, and if so, how much- which I believed was a fair question to ask. I explained to her that I wanted to lose 5-10 pounds. However, she then began to ask me questions about how I was losing it, and then started giving advice on how to lose it properly, which I never asked for. These pieces of advice included eating only 800-1000 calories a day, and doing multiple workouts a day. While I didn’t appreciate being given toxic diet culture recommendations, I pushed it aside. What I am still upset with is that she then decided to touch different areas of my body (without permission), recommending where I should lose the weight in order to look “best” on my wedding day. I cannot begin to tell you how vulnerable it feels to be standing in your wedding dress, that you are unsure of, and be given horrible advice on how and where to lose weight. For the following 4 appointments, she continued to make these comments, and ask the same question, every time. “You’re beautiful the way you are, but I have to ask, are you trying to lose weight?” “How so?” “You should do _____.”. Starting a hurtful statement with a compliment does not make it any less hurtful. Come the second appointment, I began cutting her off, explaining to her that I only believe in losing weight in healthy ways, and would not be following her recommendations, as I have done such things in the past and have learned that they are not OK. These comments did not stop until I had lost 10 pounds. Then, it became all compliments. For the final dress fitting, she emphasized that I brought my mom and maid of honor in to see the final results, and learn how to bustle the dress. They traveled 2+ hours to come, only to discover the dress was still not done. However, the dress was far from being done, and we were never given any heads up about this. My final appointment was two days before the wedding. During this appointment, I found out my dress was still not done. The cups had not been sewn in, the sleeves were not added on, nor was the belt sewn on. She told me to wait, and that it would be ready within a half an hour. She did not give me any updates, unless I interrupted her and/or her coworkers from working with the 10 other families that were in the shop for bridal/prom appointments. 2 plus hours later, past closing, it was done- without any apology whatsoever. I paid an outrageous amount of money to get my dress altered by Rosa. I knew that she was overpriced, but I thought the work would be worth it. None of this was worth it. I was willing to pay top dollar for a dress that I loved, but I didn’t expect to lose self-confidence along the way. In addition to the comments, she was constantly passive-aggressive with me, until my bridesmaid came with me to get her dress done- a long standing customer. There are many wonderful seamstresses out there. DO NOT go here. If you still decide to, I truly wish that she does not treat you the way she treated me. Good work should not be at the cost of respect.

hole staff are so talented and kind. Rosa has such an incredible attention to detail and really makes sure every inch of the dress is perfect. She goes above and beyond every time! Finding the right person to alter a wedding gown can be so stressful and that’s why Touch of Design is the only option…you’re in great hands! I would recommend Touch of Design to anyone!

from my first appointment that her and her team could do it no problem. I went in for multiple appointments. She is so kind, talented, and funny and all of my visits were excellent. I can't say enough about the job she did on my gown. They worked for several months to give me my dream dress, and they certainly did! It fit me PERFECTLY and looked like a custom gown. It needed a ton of work, but I knew I was in good hands with Rosa and her team. I also bought my wedding necklace from there as they have a great selection of jewelry. ember 26th. She always explained everything step by step, allowed you to come to as many fittings as you wanted, and made you feel absolutely comfortable throughout the entire experience! She was always in a great mood and very personable! I felt absolutely beautiful and perfect on my wedding day and my now husband though the same about me! I wish I could wear the gown all the time! I couldn’t recommend Rosa and Touch of Design enough for wedding gown alterations, you will not regret it! Cannot thank her enough for making my wedding gown fit me perfectly!

n and i'd be on my way. Rosa, however, was extremely thorough and after listening to the changes I wanted she walked me through each step from how to go about it to breaking down pricing. I initially had 3 appointments set and in the end had a total of 6 appointments (a lot). Rosa has a system for how she schedules appointments so that if you have weight fluctuations, like i did, or additional tweaks needed that there is time budgeted to adjust as needed. I'm 5' tall and needed a size 8 dress (sized for my top) taken in at the waist/hips to a size 2 and shortened. My dress had sleeves which needed to be shortened and I wanted a shoetie replaced with a lace fabric clasp. No small feat but Rosa is meticulous and takes extreme pride in her work. She respected the dress and it's original design but made the dress flatter my shape so perfectly. She is the kind of professional who makes the dress look perfect on you and never asks to make you perfect for the dress. She's warm and non judgemental, she truly cares that YOU feel amazing and spends time getting to know you while sharing her life as well. My dress was absolutely stunning and i have never felt so beautiful in my life. You will not regret going to Touch of Design

I got my dress from precious moments in Malden, they do not do any alterations beyond the initial fitting. We thought that's fine my aunt has a seamstress she had been going to for decades in quincy...my cousin got her dress altered there nothing but good things they told me. Welp we went there and their G.O.A.T. seamstress had recently retired (of course). I thought ok well let's see what can be done. They basically said shortening the length would be too much work and that I should just wear heels (I wanted to wear Converse)...when I tried to make a plan in my head on how I could still manage that I asked that they at least give me a bustle...they had no idea what a bustle was. So I took my dress and panicked. My ride or die from earlier said call my seamstress (Rosa) she is amazing and I already told her about your situation. I did just that, they fit me in on insanely short notice and absolutely nailed it. When I tell you she is dedicated to her craft...SHE IS DEDICATED TO HER CRAFT. I felt horrible for coming in and asking for so much with the amount of time there was left before my wedding. If I had known that the first place was such a shit show I most certainly would have gone straight to Rosa and her team at Touch of Design. They exceeded my expectations 10 times over. My dress was perfect, I felt so amazing in it and our wedding was honestly better than I could have ever imagined. I am so thankful and honored to have been a customer of Rosa and her team.

started the process in August 2021 and finished the week of my wedding in October 2022. After countless appointments, a couple design changes, my dress became a literal DREAM. k!! My wedding dress was very simple and all I wanted was buttons to go down the back of my dress! I bought the wrong size buttons and I started panicking but Rosa told me not to worry she will have my dress the way I want it for my big day!! She was so thoughtful throughout the whole dress fitting process. I even had my sister who was my Maid of Honor, go see Rosa for her alterations and let me tell you, she was not let down! I highly recommend and trust Rosa with any wedding dress ever!!! I cant thank her enough!
