A few weeks later Maureen sent me an email that she had become available for our wedding date and I was so excited I knew it was meant to be that she would be our officiant. We set up a meeting for Maureen to come to our home to meet my fiancé and I, and we immediately hit it off. Maureen was super sweet, very friendly and so professional. She talked with us for a few hours and got to know both of us as individuals as well as how we were as a couple. What she put together for our ceremony was incredible. She perfectly captured our love story and the story of our lives together. My husband and I could not thank Maureen enough for the amazing job she did at portraying our story to our loved ones during our ceremony. We still have family members talking about how beautiful and unique our ceremony was, even now almost 2 months after our wedding!!

who would take the day as seriously as we do. We met a lot of officiants and weren't really sure if we were connecting in a way that would really reflect on the day of. That is, of course, until we met Maureen. Maureen came to our home to meet us a year before our wedding, right in the place where we were most comfortable. She listened to the things that were important to us and really took what was most significant into consideration. There's one thing she said on that first meeting that proved we had found the person who we wanted to marry us: She told us that this ceremony was a chance to introduce the world to our story and who we were as a couple, since most of our guests knew us as a single person, friend, family member etc. Throughout the year Maureen met with us again at home to just talk and get to know each other. She had organized fun questionnaires for us to fill out separately and together to help her craft the personalized ceremony of our dreams, which in the process also got us even more excited to get married. Every time we spoke she was so warm, so friendly, it was truly a relationship and not a business deal. The ceremony itself was so above and beyond what either of us could ever possibly dream of. Maureen created the most personal, intimate experience for us. She told our story, shared notes and memories from our questionnaires (that had us both in tears!) and did everything in such a smooth, calm and easy going way. The result was a ceremony that felt so private while also giving our guests a real, genuine look into this beautiful relationship we value so much. At cocktail hour it was genuinely the only thing people could talk to us about (and hello I'm not wearing this puffy dress for my health! haha). I had friends chasing me around the room asking how they could get in contact with Maureen for their weddings. And everyone was sad to see her go, she was just such a part of the family by the end of the ceremony! I could not possibly give her a big enough hug. I find myself getting emotional writing this because the gift that Maureen gave us is priceless. It was so much more than we could have ever possibly imagined our ceremony to be. It was so well planned that I can still remember every moment and that is so precious to me. Nothing was rushed, everything had meaning and purpose, and it's because of Maureen's true dedication to marriage and her ability to use her gift to help people like me. I just can't possibly say enough about Touched by the Moment and what Maureen means to our family.
