Tourterelle was wonderful to work with! All of our florals turned out beautifully - from the bouquets and personal flowers to reception florals and ceremony arrangements. We gave Lucia and her team some initial ideas about the color scheme and vibe we had in mind, and they absolutely delivered!

Tourterelle Florals are STUNNING! They did our wedding this past September in Charlottesville and I would say their amazing creativity & floral skill made the whole vision for the day come alive! They are super easy to work with too & make sure that they are 100% on the same page with the bride which I appreciated so much. Could not recommend them enough!!! This team puts together beautiful floral arrangements. Our flowers at our wedding were absolutely perfect and beautiful. They had good communication with use throughout the process, and were able to make a couple last minute changes to meet our needs.

Tourterelle was able to take my Pinterest ideas and make them into reality for our May 7th wedding! They created beautiful pieces for our arbor and our personal flowers were beautiful as well. They were able to work within our budget and were able to fit us in with only about a months notice. Super happy with their service and flowers!

Tourterelle Floral Design should be any Central Virginia bride's first choice for floral decor. Elena and Lucia were responsive through the entire process and really listened to my vision for the event and took to heart design elements that were important to the Groom and I. In addition, the staff at Tourterelle were able to expand on my vision and send me "mood boards" of different ideas to compliment and/or amplify my original ideas. Both Lucia and Elena were great about providing an array of options at different price points so we could make informed decisions along the way. Finally, when we had to par down our wedding due to Governor's Northam COVID orders and for the health and safety of our friends and family, Tourterelle could not have been more accomodating. They were willing to work with us on another date, including providing re-design services if we decided to postpone to a different season where the decor we had originally picked would not make sense. When we ultimately decided to forego a big event, Tourterelle was quick to provide a refund for the money we had expended to date and was incredibly kind and sympathetic.

Beautiful. There really is no other word to describe what she created. We had one phone interview, where I honestly wasn’t very helpful. I sent her a link to my Pinterest board and pics of my dress, and she somehow brought forward my vision. AMAZING!!!!!

At Tourterelle they work magic. If I could give 10 stars I would. The customer service that Tourterelle provides is above and beyond. Lucia and her team were with us every step of the way and worked closely with us to create our vision and bring it to life. The final product on the day of our wedding was more than I could have even hoped for. The flowers were absolutely stunning and were the perfect touch that tied in all the intricate details. I cannot say enough good things. If you are looking for a florist look no further you have found the best.

Tourterelle was so wonderful to with from beginning to end. We (The Bride, Groom, Mother of the Bride & me--Grandmother of the Bride and "Coordinator") visited Charlottesville in mid February before the October wedding. The warmth and thoughtfulness of their welcome made all of us know we were in the right place. They listened closely to our ideas and visions. Planning a large event from 3,000 miles away is never easy. The Bride spent considerable time with the designers that day....and 8 months later we had the most spectacular and magical day any of us ever dreamed of. The colors and the care with which the flowers were arranged or tied looked so natural....but not a petal out of place. Everything was delivered on time. We repurposed several arrangements from the outdoor ceremony to the reception, enhancing the look in both places, and saving us on duplicate expenses. As I had the primary contact with the florist over the pre-wedding months, I can attest to their responsiveness and to their input on how we might accomplish certain looks within the constraints of our budget. I only wish that I lived in Charlottesville, or they could move to SoCal so I could have such beautiful arrangements all the time!

Tourterelle created my vision and more for my wedding. Lucia is top notch. I gasped when I saw my bouquet because it was more than perfect. The table settings at the reception and decorations at the ceremony were wonderful. Lucia and her team are talented at what they do and I would highly recommend them to any bride.

They provided wonderful design ideas and were quick to respond to every question. I asked for gorgeous, artistic, colorful, beautiful flowers and I got just that and more! Lucia and company are the most professional, gracious and wonderful people to work with. They went overboard in every way. If you can get on their calendar, DO IT! You will not be disappointed.

Lucia and Gregory from Tourterelle just helped us with a wedding at the Homestead in Hot Springs, VA. They did an amazing job transforming the wedding ceremony site and the dinner/reception ballrooms. The flowers were elegant and beautiful- they were just great to work with! I had SO many problems with Tourterelle; they were the only vendor that I was really unhappy with. They did not listen well, were not transparent, and nickel-and-dimed us (despite a >$8k floral budget). I really do not recommend them. To give detail: -I wanted to re-use the bouquets to save money, and the amount we were quoted for candles + greenery was not only more than the initial price quoted getting full arrangements on those tables, but also more than if I ordered the candle holders and candles I wanted online. -I sent Lucia the cake I wanted a month before our wedding, which needed flowers, but told her I wanted all white flowers. She ignored this and the flowers in our cake were a combination of white and pink. -I spend a lot of time discussing a hanging installation with Lucia. She quoted me a price for the installation. I then tried to discuss with her if there was any way to reduce the price, for example, by putting the flowers only around the perimeter of the installation rather than throughout. She told me there was no way to reduce the price; however, on the day of, the flowers were only on the perimeter, which she hadn't mentioned. -We finalized my bouquet about 2-3 months prior to the wedding at our tasting, and the week before the wedding, Lucia called me to inform me that the price she quoted was not enough and asked for more money, which, of course, we agreed to since the wedding was so soon. -Lucia emailed me the day before the wedding (literally while we were at our rehearsal) informing me that my baker had taken additional flowers, so she wanted to charge an additional $150. -Despite a comment in my contract that I do not like green hydrangeas, they were in all table arrangements. -The bouquets didn't look super fresh; there was some browning on the tips of a lot of the florals. -The initial entryway arrangement had pink florals in it (despite, again, our discussion that the flowers be all white), and planner had to coordinate their removal the hour before the ceremony. Basically, from beginning to end they really disappointed, and I would not recommend using them.

chel on September 6th. I am surprised that Rachel did not feel comfortable to personally discuss her disappointments directly with me. Rachel's was a stunning event and we are proud to have it posted on our Instagram - tourterelle_floral, Facebook and our Company website. www.Tourterellefloral.com On Wednesday August 6th I wrote: Dear Rachel, I was hoping that we could discuss this over the phone. I apologize in advance for writing such a long and perhaps over detailed e-mail. I am so very sorry about your frustration and disappointment with the flowers and with my over communications with you. I take full responsibility, this was your most important day ever and I wanted everything to be perfect. I see now that I should have gone ahead and make those cost issue decisions and discuss with you after your wedding. We cut this budget so close that I was nervous of the outcome and I felt I should discuss it with you. Regarding the hydrangea: the ivory hydrangea came in and I new it was too green for our liking therefore we order more. This rarely happens, however we had to make a decision in the best interests of your flower arrangements. Truly by the time the new hydrangea came in and we saw that again, it was too green, it was too late for me to burden you with or bring it to your attention. At that point, there was nothing I could do but use what we had. Because this kind of issue does happen in the flower world, our contract states: "The Client agrees and understands that the provision of flowers is subject to circumstances, such as weather and customs, seasonal fluctuations in hue, and others beyond the Company’s control, and accordingly, in the event the flowers outlined in Appendix A are not available (or are not available in the color or hue specified) during the week of the Event, the Company shall be entitled to use the flower substitutes specified in Appendix A, or if no substitutes are specified, then the Company shall have the right to use its discretion to make appropriate substitutions in a manner designed to still achieve the look and feel desired by the Client for the Event." Regarding the cake, I do need for you to know that we had $100 bucket of roses for the baker on Friday. When he arrived to pick them up, he said that he needed twice as many than I had allocated. I was surprised, but I had to give him what he needed to complete your cake. I had no idea that the flowers for your design would come to $250. Maybe in the end the bakers had way more flowers than they needed, I don't know? It seemed like an unusually large number of flowers. I do hope that the cake was beautiful. For your bouquet, I was truly worried about the size since we were trying to use primarily ranunculus. Gregory brought it to my attention that a $200 bouquet was not enough to give you the result that I knew you wanted. In retrospect, should have insisted that the price be $250 from the beginning. When Gregory showed me the size of the bouquet, it was clear we needed more flowers. Regarding the ladders, I know that this was your number one focus. I hope we pleased you. We are so happy to have worked with Tourterelle Floral Design for our wedding. Lucia understood our vision of our wedding style, and ensured that our arrangements were fresh, stylish and practical. Our wedding was held on a hot afternoon in July, and our flowers looked gorgeous all afternoon. The team was prompt, professional, and met all our expectations in terms of delivery, setup, and cleanup. They took excellent care of the family heirlooms that we integrated into our floral design. I am so very grateful for Lucia and her team with Tourterelle Floral Design, and would absolutely recommend them to all other couples.

I am very happy I chose Tourterelle for my wedding. We hail from out of town, and they were flexible by first doing a phone consultation followed by a weekend meeting in person. They provided timely, thorough responses to all my inquiries in the months leading up to the wedding. Lucia took great care to ensure she understood my vision, but made the process easy by providing flower and arrangement suggestions to suit that vision. The arch was absolutely stunning, and the bouquets, centerpieces, and other arrangements all fit a common theme, yet each piece had a different flair, making everything seem more natural.

Lucia, Greg and the entire team at Tourterelle have stolen my heart! From my very first meeting with them I knew it was going to be a great fit as they were finishing my sentences as I was describing my vision - they just got it! They were also open to creative solutions while working within our budget. Communication during planning was wonderful and the product that was designed and delivered for our wedding was insanely gorgeous. Their design aesthetic works this whole ethereal, dreamy and chic vibe that just makes you swoon every time you flip through photos. Tourterelle did a fantastic job with the floral arrangements for my Ceremony and Reception. They handled everything, including transportation from one spot to another for some of the arrangements (since my Ceremony and Reception were at different locations). Lucia was great! She is very professional and has a lot of creativity/vision in terms of floral design. My mom and I are not very creative, so we had Lucia help think up some of the floral designs, and they could not have turned out more perfectly. Almost equally as important, Tourterelle worked within our budget. We checked out a few other florists that were much more expensive for the same amount of flowers, so I'm really glad that I went with Tourterelle. If you're getting married in the Charlottesville area, I would definitely recommend them!

Touterelle were extremely personable and thoughtful. I really appreciated when I first met with them that all 3 contributors/owners were there. I also felt like they worked with my budget and found ways to cut costs when able. The only reason I gave them a 4/5 was that they didn't deliver on 3 things that were outlined in our plan. 1. I asked for a cascading bouquet and to not see the stems of my bouquet or my bridesmaids. They ended up giving us the quintessential long-stemmed bouquets that were not cascading. 2. We had agreed that they would reuse the bridesmaids bouquets for the cocktail hour and they failed to deliver. 3. We were also suppose to repurpose flowers from the ceremony and they never moved them. Unsure how items were lost in translation but I would just make sure that the people who are actually putting together your event know exactly what they were supposed to do. Other than that, their vision/quality/price were superb. Would definitely recommend over the other florists that I interviewed in the area!

Lucia and her team are stellar! Not only did they help bring to life my floral vision for my wedding, but they created so much more than I could have ever dreamed of! They are so detail oriented and responsive to every question I had along the way. They created a super detailed outline of the floral details when we first met and worked very hard to tweak these details throughout the year long planning process. The day of was an absolute dream and I've received so many compliments on the flowers. They are pricey (what wedding florists aren't though), but so so so worth it. I highly recommend tourterelle!!!

Our wedding flowers were absolutely amazing! The photographer even commented that they were some of the prettiest flowers that she had seen! They went above and beyond and gave us exactly what we wanted, succulents and all! Beautiful flowers and great staff!

From my first meeting with Lucia, I knew I had made the right decision booking Tourterelle Floral Design for my daughter's March 12, 2016 wedding at Pippin Hill . Lucia is so polite and calm, as is the rest of her team. She even gave us a wonderful recommendation for the wedding cake. We were coming from out of town and I knew we were in excellent hands. The flowers were absolutely breathtaking. Words can hardly do them justice. I would not hesitate to hire Lucia and her team at Tourterelle again. Absolutely a wonderful experience all around!!

Tourterelle did a beautiful job with the flowers for my springtime wedding. I had a general idea of what I wanted for table centerpieces, but they were able to take that idea and create the rest of the arrangements. My only critique was that they did not allow enough time for setup and therefore did not have time to perfect the arrangements once they were on the tables. However, I would still highly recommend them.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to Lucia, Gregory, and their incredible team at Tourterelle. They are simply the most talented people I have ever met. They were such a joy to work with from the moment I stepped into their shop until our wedding day. They were always extremely accommodating and so easy to reach! My mouth dropped open when I saw the beautiful flower arrangements for the first time. I was in awe at how perfect everything looked. I wanted a romantic, elegant feel for my fall vineyard wedding, and they nailed it 100%! The arrangements were so grand and absolutely breathtaking! I felt like I was in a fairytale. Lucia and Greg are a floral dream team! My Husband and I absolutely loved working with them. Tourterelle made what could have been a very overwhelming process, very simple. They took our unclear ideas and turned them into stunning works of art! They are both great listeners and were able to incorporate orchids, my favorite flower, throughout our wedding and they held firm to our small budget. My wedding bouquet was breathtaking, modern, elegant and more than I ever dreamed possible. I wish I could work with Lucia and Greg everyday! We are so grateful for their beautiful work!
