Choosing Tom as our wedding photographer was easily one of the best decisions we made for our special day. He was patient, professional and creative and reasonably priced. We got our edited images on his website in a private gallery. He even let us share the gallery with our family and friends at no extra charge. Tom managed to capture every significant moment and emotion and detail. We are so blessed and lucky to have Tom capture our wedding day. Highly, highly recommended!!

Tom was very helpful. We didnt know many poses and he was very good with instructing us and providing us with many poses without judgement. He also gave us our pictures very quickly. Would highly recommend.

It’s hard to look at a picture and say that I feel beautiful, until I saw my pictures . I wasn’t feeling my best, I was in pain and some discomfort, so I imagined pictures of me would show me in discomfort. I was wrong. Tom was so patient, kind, and compassionate . He knew I was struggling and provided me what I needed, when I needed it.. it was impressive, especially since most of the time I didn’t know what I needed lol. Then, as soon as I walked down the aisle and saw My soon to be husband, I was filled with so much love and Tom so beautifully captured every moment. This review is definitely a little late, but better late than never. We were searching for a photographer for our wedding back in November, and Tovicand Photography was recommended by a close friend. After looking at the website and chatting with Tom we knew he was the perfect fit! Tom captured everything we could have asked for and more! After looking at our pictures, my husband and I were so happy with every single shot and were pleased with the amount of photos we got back. Tom was very professional and easy to work with. He was also accommodating and stayed an extra hour. We shared our album with family and friends and everyone loved all the photos that were taken. We would definitely book for another event! Our photographer Tom was fantastic and an absolute pleasure to work with. He was communicative, had great pricing and had previous experience at our venue. He knew all the right shots to get and wasn’t “in the way” when other family were taking photos. I couldn’t of asked for a more respectful and professional photographer. It took a few weeks for our photos to be ready and I was very surprised when I received the link, as the photos are more beautiful then I could of imagined. I would for sure hire him again for any major life events. He made our wedding day extra special.

Tom is amazing!! He was so helpful and accommodating before, on, and after our wedding day. He made sure to capture all of the photos that we wanted. We wanted photos with all of our family (we both have very big families). It was hot and sunny outside but he was patient and made sure that we got pictures with everyone we wanted. He also took great pictures before and during the ceremony and at the reception.

Tom is hands down the BEST photographer and I will 100% hire him again for any and all events that require amazing photos! Best decision my now husband and I made was to choose Tom as our photographer. Not only is he so fun and easy to work with and a great communicator, he is insanely talented and took the most beautiful photos of our wedding! Neither myself nor my husband are particularly comfortable in front of the camera, but Tom put us at ease during our engagement photo shoot, which made pictures during the wedding so much more comfortable. Booking Tovicand Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Tom (and 2nd shooter Ralphy) were amazing and I would 100% recommend them for the quality of their work, communication, professionalism on our wedding. Stylistically, we were looking for clear and timeless photography - nothing flashy or over-edited. We got that, and more. I was a bit concerned about the staged shots feeling a bit weird but they didn't. Tom did a great job of getting staged romantic shots alternated with candid or family staged shots. Having someone with good communication was important to us - we wanted someone with familiarity of the locations (Armenian church & hall) where we were getting married, and Tom quickly checked those boxes. It was also awesome that he spoke Armenian. The entire crew appreciated how cool, collected, and communicative he was - especially my cousin, who did our videography. My MOH (who has been in a handful of weddings) also said how he was probably the best photographer she had dealt with - and that she loved the pictures. She hears so much of people wanting to retake their photos after being uncomfortable with an arrogant photographer and then disappointed with bad pics. My cousin knew we'd found a good one when Tom responded to a bunch of questions ahead of time. And then after our event, he's emailed so many times to give me an update. Anyways, he's a rockstar in communication department. Our insanely large gallery of wedding photos was ready in 1 month - over the Christmas, New Years, booster shots, the peak of omicron, (and on and on!). I say this because I see some people expect photos (maybe previews) in a few days or weeks, which seems unrealistic to me and I wasn't expecting it. Anyways, I was totally happy with it all - it's just helpful to have clear expectations. As far as lessons learned, I wish that we would have discussed our shot list and plan directly with Tom ahead of our date - and I kind of feel like this was on me for getting him our list so late and thinking our coordinator or someone else would have given me some feedback. I felt like I had too many "shots" on our shot list and was feeling super rushed while taking them. I also expected our coordinator to be around to assist with things and she totally dropped the ball, showed up late, and was more of a pain than helpful. However, Tom and Ralphy seamlessly dealt with my feeling overwhelmed and working like such a professional while our crappy coordinator was M.I.A. Upon looking through our photos, I realized that our actual invitation was missed in our detail shots. Again, possibly my bad for putting them in a box in a box. If this was the worst thing to go wrong on our day - I could handle it, but was a bit sad about the mixup. Tom quickly offered to reschedule and retake those shots for us. I still need to follow-up more (my comms have been lacking...), but how amazing is that?! Honestly - the biggest issue is that we now have SO many incredible photos from our wedding, we have no idea which one is our favorite! To summarize - if you like the example shots in his profile, give him a call, discuss your options, and then book this one.

Tom was amazing and so easy to work with! We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and he was very accommodating based on our change of locations. The photos he took were beautiful! He captured all the key moments and so much more. We would recommend Tom to anyone planning a large event!

Tom Vartanian was the perfect photographer for our wedding. We saw his photos on theknot.com and loved his work, called him up and he was fortunately available for our date! He arrived early and got right to work. And he was warm, easy-going and made my (now) husband and I feel so comfortable on our special day. Tom was helpful from the start. He worked with our budget and needs and fun to be around. The turn around time on engagement shoot photos and wedding day photos was phenomenal! Just like most 2020 brides, we had to postpone our wedding reception but we still wanted to host a small ceremony on our original date to exchange our vows. We were scrambling to find a photographer last minute to capture the special day and we are so glad we found Tom! From the beginning, he was quick to respond to emails and my questions. He was able to adjust his pricing and hours to accommodate what we needed that day. His prices were reasonable and kept us on budget. Throughout the planning process, Tom continued to be very responsive via email and answered all my questions. We chatted on the phone prior to the day and he listened to what I was looking for and how the day was going to go. He arrived on time the day of the ceremony and was very professional - he was even able to get my grumpy 2 year old niece to smile for pictures! He guided my awkward self and now husband on how to pose and guided us around the airbnb to find the best area for pictures. Everyone at the ceremony said he was very friendly and approachable throughout the whole ceremony. After the wedding, he kept in touch and the pictures were ready within two weeks!!! They were all viewable and available to download on a link provided via email. The quality of the photos were above our expectations. My husband is an art director and photoshop for a living and even he was so pleased with how the photos came out. We cannot be happier with Tom's service. We will be recommending him if our friends ever have any photography needs in the future. Thank you, Tom!

We are so lucky to have Tom as our photographer in our beach wedding! He is very good with giving directions, and specific on where and how to pose, where to look, etc and the photos turned out great. He is also very professional and checked in the day before to confirm and was at the location earlier than the scheduled time. Overall, we are happy with the outcome and would definitely recommend Tom!

Tom was very responsive and accommodating to our wedding date. I only had three months to plan and he worked with us to put together a package that fit our needs and budget. On the wedding day, I had so many things on my mind but my pictures was definitely not one of them because as soon as Tom arrived he went right to work. We were married at a friends ranch and Tom was so creative with the backdrops and arranging the family for pictures. I am very happy with my finished pictures and received so many compliments.
