As a plus sized woman, dress shopping (let alone wedding dress shopping) can be a challenging experience. But Kateri and the rest of the team were fantastic and the experience was uplifting and a dream.

ove with one! They give you the royal treatment at Mimi’s! You have your own bridal consultant and area to model your dresses. They are very experienced in their field and aren’t just random sales people doing this as a part-time job. Make sure you get an appointment here very early on in your planning! I ordered my dress in August and it wasn’t shipped to the store until February, and then still needed alterations done. We also found my and my husband’s mom’s and my husband’s moms’ dresses here. All gowns are going to be a bit pricey, so keep your budget in mind when going. I still can’t recommend this shop enough, though!

n as we walked in the door, I was welcomed and everyone was friendly so I thought the experience would be good. I felt pretty rushed the whole time and like zero preparation was done for me beforehand (my consultant, Maddy, called me 2 days before my appointment to get to know me/my style and I also texted her screenshots of dresses I liked so I would have thought that dresses would have already been pulled.) I paid $99 to have the "VIP experience," mostly because I wanted to bring 5 guests and you could only bring 4 guests with the complimentary appointment (looks like the number of guests you can bring with complimentary just changed to 5.) As soon as we were shown my bridal suite I was whisked away by Maddy and didn't even get a chance to pop the champagne that I was given/paid for. Maddy took me over to a rack and showed me dresses that I was going to try on but I couldn't even see what they looked like because they were just shoved in the normal rack so I could only see the side of the dress and the material. Later I noticed that none of them look like what I described to Maddy on the phone or screenshots that I sent her of what I liked. I tried on the dresses because I thought maybe I would like something I didn't expect but every dress I tried on just felt cheap and heavy and I was not loving it. I'm horrible at saying no, which is what I should have done. It was also awkward because someone kept walking over and just staring at me as I was trying on the dresses, I'm assuming it was the manager but she never introduced herself and I just felt uncomfortable because it's already stressful and then add in someone standing there staring at you while you stand in front of the mirror. I ended up saying I wanted to think on it before making a decision (which I'm assuming is not something they want you to do here, they want you to say yes the day of to get a sale) and Maddy told me I could come back in the next day to get measurements. This made zero sense to me because I came from Chicago, why would I drive back the next day and I still had over 30 minutes left in my 2 hour appointment (that I PAID for) when I left, why would you make me come back the next day when you have time to measure me right then? They could have taken the measurements, added them to my account, and I could have called when I was ready to say yes to the dress. Needless to say, this was not my favorite bridal shop. It probably doesn't help that I went to a bridal shop prior to this that was absolutely amazing so my expectations for Mimi's were very high.

Take it from me - Mimi's is the place to check out in St. Louis Metro area. And do yourself a favor - ask to book with the super talented, Karli as your stylist!

my husband's tux fitting, items picked out and ordered - which was pretty easy and they said we would receive my husbands items about a week before our big day. I did my dress alterations with a recommended by T&C 3rd party seamstress, Maureen, at the location 3 times prior to our wedding day on 05/14/2022. On my last fitting at the store, I left my veil (which was purchased outside of T&C)hanging on the dress in the fitting room so that way it could be steamed along with my dress and ready for pickup on 05/12/2022. My husbands tux came in the week of the wedding, almost everything had to be replaced due to the fitting - this was concerning because we went in store and had their tux specialist measure him themselves which the initial order was placed. Okay, that's fine they reordered the items after we went in to get him fitted again which was the same measurements. Two of the groomsmen sent in their measurements in advance, when we called to confirm (because I just needed to make sure) apparently they said they didn't receive one of the guys measurements - no problem we told them again - their items arrived correctly the week before the wedding. We had my father and grandfather in law use their service too, again the jackets and shirts didn't fit but since they were coming from out of town there was no good way to have them get the items before the wedding - they ended up using tuxes that they previously owned. Our 3rd groomsman went and got fitted at T&C in advance, ALL of his items were crazy big. They reordered the items and charged him for shipping which was WAY more than anticipated. He got his items in, the shoes were still the wrong size and were brown (we ordered black). It was too late to get anything reshipped, so our friend worked with what he had but it was very disappointing to hear and now I have wedding photos of him in an ill fitting suit. NOW my biggest pet peeve is the customer service. I did not have time to get my dress myself on 05/12/2022 so I had my mother and father pick it up, to which I told them my veil was also with my dress. I called the store before I sent my mom over and confirmed the dress and the veil were ready to go, the person I spoke to said yes so I told them to go on over. I had my mom double check everything and found that my veil was missing so she started to ask the workers at T&C where it was. They then claimed that I never had a veil and had a very bad attitude with my mom (it take a lot for my mom to say something about customer service), they said it wasn't their problem. I had to call them while I as at a different appointment and I told them I had my veil there at my final fitting, they said no veil was with my dress. I said I have photos and videos of me in the veil at the store so they are incorrect, they then suggested that the seamstress lost it so I should contact her. It was like a chicken running with it's head cut off, they kept switching their stories and when it was found out them, or the seamstress, lost my veil after I stated I had photos, did they change their tune with my mom and they blamed the veil on the seamstress so she had to buy me a new one from T&C which was not like the one they lost. A $25 Etsy veil then turned into $325 T&C veil.

With each dress, Karli assisted me in/out of it with ease and expertise. After a brief conversation with her, she brought me some of the most beautiful dresses I had ever seen. The entire store is filled wall to wall with the gorgeous and unique wedding dresses. Speaking of the store, the lighting is on point—they can change the lighting for you to match the vision of your day. It’s a stunning space that really gets you ready for your new adventure. T&C tailors the experience to you, and I cannot emphasize enough that you need to make your appointment now!

r our bridal party gowns, mother gowns, and groom accessories. We had a pretty tight budget on bridal party gowns, so I chose to go during the Maids and Mimosas promotional event. Our stylist did not understand the promotional event requirements, and reduced the gown prices so they did not qualify for the promotional discount which resulted in lower savings than would be received using the promotional discount. I realized this after talking to my bridesmaids who each overpaid for their gowns. It took over a month of calling, emailing, and texting T&C Bridal before this issue was resolved and refunds were issued. It was incredibly frustrating because I had to be managing this discount issue in addition to my other wedding planning tasks. Finally T&C followed through on the discounts and offer 2 $5 bottles of Alma champagne as an apology to me. We had no issues with the mother of the bride gowns; however, my gown came way too large because it was recommended that I order the sample size (since it fit well) over the size my measurements indicated, which was 2 sizes smaller. I had to spend over $700 in alterations to make the dress fit, and it ended up looking like a different gown due to all the changes required. My husband had issues ordering his tie and pocket square because T&C did not ask for his card information, and did not tell him the order was not placed because they did not ask for his card info which led to a scramble to get his accessories. No updates were provided to him until the tie had arrived to the salon which was several months after the initial attempt to order. Overall T&C disappointed due to several miscommunications in which they did not promptly work to resolve. Fortunately they were the only vendor to disappoint, so our wedding was still a great day.

as my first appointment ever and I truly was trying to get an idea of what I wanted, but continuously felt rushed and pushed into making a purchase rather than finding the one, by my consultant. When the end came and I didn’t choose a dress, she was verbally upset and made some side comments that I felt were upsetting. Again overall the place is beautiful but I felt my consultant was more worried about the sale then if I was happy.

Little gifts of offered bridal appointments are genuine and make you feel like a true bride. The texting feature with the business is very convenient and helped keep me on track to find recommended seamstresses in addition to sending special offers to complete the whole bridal party’s attire. This wasn’t just a checklist off of marriage planning, this was an experience!

There’s a form they have you fill out so they can “get to know you” prior to the appointment and make sure they know your style and what you’re looking for. Two days prior they called to check in and make sure all of my questions were answered. We got there and instantly felt welcomed and comfortable. I got the pleasure of working with Stacey who was an absolute DREAM! I found my dress and it was the first one I tried on and it was one Stacey had pulled for me. Every lady working that day was so inviting and so kind. I have so much faith that the rest of this process will go seamlessly. If you’re looking for somewhere inviting, with an amazing selection of dresses and the nicest staff- they’re your place!!!

I found nearly the perfect gown, but it didn't have the neckline I had been dreaming of. Kateri and Lexi informed me that they had a great relationship with the designer and are able to customize my dress to create my DREAM dress! I wouldn't waste your time going anywhere else. They made what seemed to be a daunting process something extremely enjoyable and special!

ing apart. In pure panic, my mom scheduled an appointment with T&C. We were very stressed out and T&C stepped in like the experts they are. They explained the option of off the rack and showed us 8 dresses that were all a possibility to get there in time. They did such an incredible job of keeping us calm and showing us great options. We found THE dress. We called them our wedding dress guardian angels! But that wasn’t all they did. Unfortunately when we picked up the second dress from the alterations place four days before the wedding day to be steamed, it had stains all over it. We immediately went to T&C again in panic. I thought the dress was ruined and I would have nothing to wear. They reassured us it was in the best hands now, gave us a bottle of champagne and promised us it would be close to perfect, if not perfect when we picked it up in two days. When the dress arrived in my hotel room the night before my wedding, it was PERFECT!!! T&C had taken two disastrous situations and fixed them both. They were professional, understanding and took action to give us a solution. I will forever be grateful to T&C who gave me the most stunning dress to wear on my wedding day despite the drama leading up!! THANK YOU😊I cannot recommend them enough!
