I don’t understand how Trademark Weddings has so many 5 star reviews because working with Amanda and Carrie was a horrible and uncomfortable experience for both me and my husband. ...
With limited character space, I’ll need to keep this brief but everything in this review can be verified by our records. Everything was going smoothly and we were actually so excited to work with Amanda as we clicked really well and she seemed to be very knowledgeable, until we took a trip to Texas 9 months prior to our wedding date to take care of some planning. Amanda booked us only *one* tasting during this week- long trip, despite knowing we lived out-of-state. This tasting did not go well as the chef sat at our table with us (me, my husband, Amanda, Carrie, and their assistant) for the entire duration of the tasting. The chef was so kind and pleasant but the dishes we asked for weren’t correct and none of the food tasted very good or fresh. We didn’t get any alone time to discuss with each other or communicate our dissatisfaction to our planners before they started talking numbers. We gave no indication that we wanted to book this caterer as we weren’t expressing satisfaction and weren’t eating much of the food. As soon as we were alone with our planners, we politely told them we didn’t think he was the vendor for us. The 3 of them (Amanda, Carrie and their assistant) all became visibly upset with all of their faces dropping with the news. Amanda began telling Carrie in front of us that she didn’t know how we were going to find a caterer on such short notice (again, 9 months prior to wedding) and she didn’t think we would be able to book the string quartet we were wanting (which we were able to book without their help.) It was our understanding that Amanda was wanting us to quickly solidify all vendors prior to her maternity leave and that was the reason behind us feeling so rushed, although, we didn’t understand why Carrie couldn’t just take over in her place so could have adequate time to make decisions we were comfortable with. The next day, Carrie called me to explain why the tasting went poorly and suggested it was because I was missing my recently deceased mother which was so insulting, inappropriate, and inaccurate. After Amanda told us that we were behind schedule, we panicked and reached out to several vendors that night to catch up. This upset Amanda as she said we were doing her job. I explained that we were just trying to get ahead because she scared us and she apologized for her harsh reaction at the tasting and suggested she may have been “hormonal” as she was pregnant at this time. I told Amanda we were interested in booking Catering with a Twist and she told us they were out of our price range (they weren’t, we just had to be strategic to get them to fit our budget and ended up booking them independently without the help of Amanda or Carrie. It was confusing to us that Amanda seemed to be intentionally trying to deter us from booking vendors we wanted. Later in that meeting, Carrie then suggested that if we didn’t want to let them handle communication with the vendors that we end our contract with them effective immediately. We were so uncomfortable with them that we agreed and ended up losing our $2,000 deposit. Although, that is a tremendous amount of money for us, it was absolutely the right decision and we are very grateful that our wedding went smoothly and that we never to interact with Carrie or Amanda again.

At times I felt we had a difficult time communicating - wether it be design, ideas, schedule, etc. Granted the distance and emails make it that much more challenging. ot overwhelmed by logistics and details fairly quickly, so my amazing (now) husband recommended that we hire a planner. I was still hesitant, as we paid for everything ourselves, but I reached out to a few different companies, and after talking with Amanda, I was sold. She told me that the cost of their planning services are basically paid for by the savings they can give you with recommendations and discounts from vendors. That sounded like a pretty good selling point to me, so I booked them. What started off as something I was completely unsure of turned out to be an incredible decision. They didn't try to overrule my ideas or change what I wanted the day to look like, they simply took everything I told them I wanted and made it all REALISTIC. They translated my pinterest board into vendor recommendations and eventually, a reality. Our wedding was perfect, and I know it wouldn't have been that way without Trademark. Please take it from someone who was SO against spending money on a planner: you will NOT regret it.

From the minute I reached out to trademark and got Amanda on the phone, it felt like the weight of the world had been taken off my shoulders. Matt and I met Amanda and Carrie in their barn/office with both sets of parents and had a great time communicating everything that needed to happen in a stress free, honest and relaxed setting. just to get more information before booking them but even then she was on top of everything and I trusted that she would be able to execute our vision completely. Amanda portrayed such a calm and relaxed demeanor and had an answer to all my questions. You could hear the confidence in her answers that made me want to book with her. Amanda was NOT pushy and never made us feel pressured to book with them. One thing that I valued as a top priority with all my vendors is that they were genuine. Amanda and Carrie are our number one vendor, hands down. They always give their honest opinion and always have spot on recommendations. They come up with ideas that you don’t even think about. They literally cover every single detail.
Amanda and Carrie are very accessible via text, phone and email. You can even arrange meet ups in their studio if you prefer face to face. My now husband and I were living in Houston and were planning our wedding in Austin. I underestimated the level of difficulty this would prove to be, but with Amanda and Carrie they made it so much easier!
When we did get the chance to meet they made my husband, my parents and I feel extremely comfortable and welcome. Their studio is beautiful and they have a variety of vases, tea lights, candles holders, etc for you to rent to use. For us this made everything SO much easier, since I didn’t want to buy a bunch of things that I would never use again, it was the perfect solution!
The day of the wedding was PERFECT! Amanda and Carrie did all the decorations on the tables, set up a wall display and directed all the vendors.I had zero worries that day because I had absolute faith in them! Everything looked beautiful and the flow of the reception was seamless. I even got compliments from my guests on how well organized the reception was. Our wedding party loved Amanda and Carrie and were very impressed by their performance. Amanda and Carrie even made sure our food vendor served us a plate of food first so we would eat!
Amanda and Carrie were extremely thorough and attentive during the reception to every single detail. Example being during the dancing at our wedding, someone spilled a drink on the dance floor and Amanda was already on it before we even had time to notify anybody about the spill. Another thing they helped solve was that my husband’s dad had to leave our wedding reception early and they were able to set up transportation for his dad and get him home safely without having my husband stress about it.
Also during the day of the wedding there were slight modifications and Amanda and Carrie handled it very professionally and efficiently. They have such a calm demeanor about them that makes you feel relaxed during stressful situations.
Trademark went above and beyond in EVERYTHING they did and we would HIGHLY recommend them! Of course besides making the decision to marry my husband, they were the BEST decision we made for our wedding. I spent countless hours researching wedding planners, scared that I would make the wrong decision. Don’t waste your time looking at other planners, they are the BEST and everything fell into the place the moment I hired them.
