We had a great experience with DJ Paul and John! They took the time to understand what we wanted to accomplish with our wedding, the "vibe" and what we wanted from our guests. It was not simply about a playlist.

I highly recommend Trading Post Productions! John made scheduling and coordination super easy and was always available to answer any questions. My musicians Kevin and Casey were incredible! They learned a new song for me to walk down the aisle to and I got so many compliments after my ceremony on how beautiful it was. They played for my ceremony and cocktail hour and everything sounded amazing. I could not have asked for better musicians. Trading Post Productions was one of my favorite vendors - do not hesitate to book, you'll love them!

John was absolutely fantastic to work with as our wedding DJ! First of all, his voice is incredible—it added such a special touch to our event. From the very beginning, John was the epitome of professionalism. He arrived well before the wedding to set everything up, ensuring that everything was ready to go. Our wedding had many complicated details, including a flash mob during the ceremony, salsa dancing as our first dance, and the hora during the reception. That salsa dance was even a mix, and John mixed it for us well in advance so we can rehearse the choreography many months before our wedding. John managed everything so smoothly. He perfectly timed the Star Wars music for my husband’s walk down the aisle and the Harry Potter soundtrack for mine, creating magical moments for both of us. Many months before our wedding, he provided a template/shared doc that allowed for us to put all our music and announcement-related ideas; including ideas for games, first dances, and Do/Do Not Play lists - but was also so flexible for things we didn't want and was happy to omit. We reviewed them a month out to go over any questions or suggestions, which made us feel very confident leading up to the wedding that everything would go without a hitch. John has a real talent for reading the crowd and making announcements at just the right time. Beyond his exceptional skills and professionalism, he is also a genuinely sweet person, which made working with him such a pleasure. We are so happy that we chose Trading Post Productions for our wedding! From the first planning session with John to the end of the wedding night we had such a great experience and cannot recommend them enough. John did everything we asked and more. He was even checking in with us at our table and around the venue on occasion to see if we needed anything. Trading Post was incredible. Can't thank them enough. They did such an incredible job at our wedding. We planned our entire small wedding in 2 months - not much lead time! They were responsive, friendly, helpful, available, and their guitar and violin duo did a wonderful job performing some of our favorite songs, in exactly the order we asked them to. And the music was fantastic! We were both so delighted by all of it - including especially the customized music we walked down the aisle to. We got rave reviews from our guests. We are beyond appreciative and so impressed by both their musical ability and their responsiveness how easy it was to coordinate with them on logistics during the stressful 2 month run-up to our wedding. Working with John was AMAZING! We had some very different cuts of songs that were needed for choreographed dances/flash mobs, and he played them flawlessly. He made sure all of our "must haves" were played and kept the vibe going the entire night. He is the absolute BEST! I can't recommend him highly enough and he will definitely be our go-to if we ever need a DJ/MC again in the future!

John and Brianna were amazing as a guitar/violin duo for our ceremony and cocktail hour at Arapahoe Basin! They were incredible to work with and fantastic musicians. John was a great DJ for our dance party! Our guests were dancing the entire reception. 10/10.

I can't say enough great things about John and his team! John was so friendly and sweet! We had the live music at the ceremony and cocktail hour. We have cats named Nala and Simba and they were so sweet to learn "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" for our bridal party processional. It meant so much to us and was such a special touch to our day! They came up with a great playlist for cocktail hour that fit our personalities. John then DJ'd our reception and was able to play all of our "must play" songs which also included songs from our guests. Everyone had such a great time and we can't thank John and the Trading Post Productions team enough. We appreciate the thought and time that went into making our wedding day extra special!

John was absolutely awesome to work with. Super responsive and thoughtful leading up to our wedding and then he absolutely crushed everything day of the wedding. John played guitar and sang for our ceremony into cocktail hour and then DJ’ed the reception. We got SO many compliments on his work and the dance floor was the highlight of the night (our guests booed when he had to call last dance because it was SO fun). We highly recommend John and his team!

John was so much fun to plan and work with! We live states away planning our wedding and he made it seamless. He was very communicative and receptive to our ideas—very customer focused! We used his services for acoustic music for our ceremony + DJ services for our reception. I feel he went out of his way to make our day special, curated a custom playlist and let us party our socks off! So grateful he was part of our special day 💜

John and Briana were awesome! Very professional and easy to work with. They created a beautiful arrangement of some of our favorite songs to play during the ceremony. John was a fantastic MC and his DJ set was exactly what we wanted for the reception. Could not recommend them enough!!

Trading Post Production was amazing! We are so glad they can make it for our wedding day. Starting acoustic music ( very nice wedding vibe, we got lots of compliments) then DJ. My families are from Japan, and usually, old Japanese people won’t dance. But party was amazing, so even they danced a lot. Big happy surprise to me. Actually everyone danced (and sang) a lot till the end. Also, the owner of Trading Post Production, John helped edit our first dance music. Our dance instructor gave us an edited version first, but it was a bit unnatural. I thought that edit won’t work( you cannot chop a song there!) but John used his magic, and the song sounded amazing. Our dance instructor was asking for a very aggressive edit, so I was truly surprised and impressed by John’s skill. Thank you so much for being part of our wedding!!

I have worked with John and his team for years and have always had an amazing experience. From the booking process to the execution, it has always been flawless. He and his team are easy to work with, professional and fun! They have numerous offerings including live music which is amazing especially for ceremonies or receptions. I can not recommend them more! We worked with John Wirt and Trading Post to provide both live music and DJ services for our wedding.  Everything was just outstanding and our guests had the most amazing time. For live music, Trading Post offers all different combinations of instruments.  We chose to have a violin / guitar duo for the ceremony and the cocktail hour.  The violin as my wife was walking down the aisle was heavenly.  For the cocktail hour, the acoustic vibe was perfect and I got a ton of compliments about the song selection and rendition. When it came time to hit the dance floor, John got the whole party out dancing, swaying, or jumping up and down depending on the floor.  He mixed and matched our many different genre selections seamlessly and read the room to make sure everyone was having fun. In the planning phase, working with John was an absolute delight.  You can tell that he really cares about his clients and worked with us to come up with our perfect plan of events and music genres for our special day. Highly recommended!  

Jon and I were more than impressed with Trading Post productions for our wedding in Estes Park! Their professional appearance, to their lovely music selections, and most definitely their talent is remarkable. Both of them have a love for music, and you know they certainly enjoy playing. John from Trading Post Productions was AMAZING as the DJ for our wedding. He was beyond helpful leading up to our big day, always offering advice or his time if we had any questions. The day of John made sure everything was good to go as far as set up and he made it a point to talk to everyone who was involved to let them know what to expect and when they’d be speaking. Then came the music and John absolutely killed it!!! He played a few mashup/remixes, his mix from one song to the next was impeccable, and he sprinkled in all our ‘must play’ songs flawlessly. John and Briana are beyond amazing. Our wedding was always a bit tricky as we were planning from abroad for a May 2020 wedding. John met with me online and was very flexible when working with me. Then when our wedding got canceled and postponed, he was prompt to rewrite the contract for the following year. Well, it ended up taking us 3 years to actually walk down the aisle and John was the only vendor from our original team to stick it out with us. As a music person, it was one of the most important elements for me and I couldn’t be happier. Our ceremony was perfection with the guitar and violin and John DJ’d our reception and kept the party flowing smoothly. We just couldn’t be happier with our choice!

Couldn’t recommend these folks enough for all your string needs! We had the violin and guitar duo and we gave them a few challenging songs to play acoustically and they absolutely nailed it. Their catalogue is top notch having classics, contemporary and more modern options. They were absolute professionals! Thanks again!

My wife and I were extremely fortunate to work with John and Kevin for our wedding in Vail. In lieu of doing traditional wedding songs for our ceremony, we wanted to incorporate songs that were unique and special to us. Our four selections were atypical for piano music, but we felt they would be the perfect fit for our ceremony and asked John & Kevin if they would be able to learn them. They were, and after providing them with examples they worked with us to create versions that were just right, in both pitch and pace. Come wedding day, Kevin was exceptional. The songs were everything we had hoped they would be on a solo piano thanks to his performance, helping add the gravity and tension we were hoping for in our ceremony. Would highly recommend working with both John and Kevin to add a special touch for your wedding day in a way this unique to you.

Amazingly professional, punctual, and wonderfully talented. We hired their string duet for our ceremony and it perfectly captured a magical day. John was in touch about songs early and helped me pick the best songs. The duet was perfect for the setting and sounded amazing. It has created an amazing back drop for our videos.

Jon was awesome. We planned our wedding in 3 months and the DJ was the thing that kept falling to the wayside. We were so lucky to find Jon and that he had a cancellation. He was easy to work with, made us feel confident in his skills with just a few meeting and really kept the party alive. He had an idea of what listened to and then made great choices for the night and really read the crowd. Thank you Jon!!

John & Briana at TPP were about as awesome as people get. Kind and gracious and very sweet to all of our guests throughout. Wouldn't allow me (groom) to help with setup upon their arrival. They made everything seamlessly easy, played beautiful strings for our ceremony and cocktail hour, integrated our dinner slideshow and playlist flawlessly, and had a super lit dance floor rolling all night with appropriate song selections. Like many of our guests, we didn't get enough time with them and they seem like folks you'd want to get to know and spend quality time with. Book them without reservation. You won't be disappointed.

John was an incredible DJ and an equally kind person to work with. He met with us virtually as often as needed before our wedding to make sure all the details were squared away. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. We had a "no song requests" policy that was maintained without a problem. Sound quality and emceeing was perfect. We hired The Trading Post and had a trio (cello, violin, keyboard) for a bit of a non-traditional request - we did not have a dance but rather a post dinner cocktail reception so needed the “vibes” to change throughout the evening and they did such an amazing g job. They played our outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and post dinner reception and it was everything we asked for! We got so many compliments. We went through their song list and made suggestions to show the style we were hoping for but did not request any new songs (ie- they would arrange the song for a fee and play the song not listed on their list). They were super easy to work with and billing/pricing was straight forward.

Trading Post Productions was the best vendor decision we made during wedding planning! Everything was perfect and we felt so supported by John leading up to the wedding. A special shoutout to our DJ, Paul. In my wildest dreams I couldn't have imagined a better dance party on our wedding night. I am still in disbelief how energetic and fun the dance party was. People are still messaging me saying how fun the wedding was and specifically saying how amazing Paul was and asking where we found him. It was truly perfect!

John and Briana were absolutely amazing to work with. Not only were they the kindest vendors EVER, but they were flawless to work with. Any idea or question I had they responded immediately and were so accommodating. We had them play live music during our ceremony, then DJ for cocktail hour and the reception and loved absolutely ever minute of it! I honestly didn't even notice any transitions or changes because everything was so smooth, and their music was beautiful. 110% recommend!

Who knew that party planning for over 100 guests could be so simple? John with Trading Post Productions arranged the live music, photographer, DJ and the photo booth. Everything was fabulous the night of the party, and John is very responsive and knowledgeable. Best 40th anniversary party ever!

I requested custom songs for the ceremony and reception and the results exceeded my wildest dreams. The guests of the wedding have nothing but positive compliments for the talented artists and D.J. Paul's reception performance as well.

Trading Post was the perfect fit for us!! We wanted live music for the cocktail hour and then a DJ setup for our ballroom, but we did not want the stereotypical miami club DJ vibe as both of us are a little more reserved. We got all that and more in John and his wife, Briana. We are so grateful these two folks were able to make our wedding such a magical day!

I am writing this review with a smile on my face! Our experience with Trading Post started over a year ago when we were reaching out virtually to meet DJ and live musicians for our wedding. The night that we met with John on zoom I remember it felt like such a breath of fresh air. John was passionate, present, enthusiastic and very professional. There was no doubt in our mind that we'd select his team as our entertainment for our wedding day. The months leading up to our wedding, John always made time to write back and forth as we started making decisions about the type of music and songs we wanted to play along with ideas we had to keep our guests engaged throughout the day. He provided excellent feedback and always had a positive mindset towards what we wanted as a couple. Fast forward to the days leading up to the wedding, he made sure we met again to go through every last detail and the schedule so that things could run smoothly day-of. And when the day did come, everything fell right into place. John and our live musicians Briana and Connor, were there exactly when they needed to be to give themselves enough time to set up for the entire day so that they wouldn't have to shuffle anything around between ceremony, cocktail, reception. They made sure they had time to test the mics and make us feel comfortable using them for the ceremony. And of course all of this with smiles on their faces. John was so welcoming and friendly. We felt as if we had known him for years. He brought so much comfort that he had our backs and we were so ready to watch it all come to life. The live music during ceremony had our guests, and us in tears it was so beautiful. The live music continued into cocktail hour which set a wonderful mood for our guests to relax and catch up, look at the beautiful mountains all while listening to the strings. We had so much fun looking through the list of songs John had sent us of the songs that they could perform (which I may add was very impressive). Selecting the songs that were special to us and our events was part of the planning process that Mike and I had so much fun doing, and again John made that very easy for us! The reception ran as smoothly as I could have ever imagined. John had the schedule down and was great at encouraging our guests to be where we needed them to be at all times. Especially when it came to the dance floor. No words were needed from John, his talent of DJing showed immediately. He knew exactly what to play to keep guests encouraged and comfortable on the dancefloor all while staying true to our style which John spent much time getting to know us in order to get it just perfect. He made all of our guests feel like stars out there and we cannot be more thankful for John and his team! Trading Post played live and DJ'ed for our wedding in Vail, CO. We immensely appreciated their support prior to the big day (e.g., putting together a setup timeline, scouting out the venue in advance, taking time to get to know us as a couple, etc.) and their patience and direction the day-of (e.g., ensuring a flawless ceremony-to-reception transition, taking on the role of MC -- and rolling with all the punches :), etc.). Couldn't recommend John from Trading Post more highly! From start to finish, he did a fantastic job with both DJ'ing and MC'ing. Having a good MC was of high importance to us, it keeps the guests aware of what the order-of-events are, and helps the whole event run smoothly, and John completely nailed this. He also stuck to the type of music we wanted perfectly all night. My only regret was not booking the venue for a longer dance for John to keep DJ'ing for us.

Briana and John were just exceptional. We never even got to meet them in person due to COVID until the wedding day and it still felt like they picked every piece as if we picked it ourselves. They so easily changed vibes from classy and romantic to getting everyone rocking on the dance floor. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding dance floor they experienced and most interactive DJ. My only regret is that I didn’t have more time to hear them play since my dress was so difficult to bustle! Hire them and you will not be disappointed.

John was so great to work with throughout the planning process! He was readily available and really captured the music vibe we wanted for our wedding. Beth and Jay were our cellist and DJ and both were absolutely wonderful. Guests kept coming up to us throughout the night to tell us how great the music was. John was a delight to work with. He was really responsive, which I appreciate because I know how busy they are! He had great ideas when we wanted a live solo for a ceremony, and Briana did an amazing job playing live violin. It was beautiful, and she went above and beyond to make our first dance song exactly what we wanted. John even played some live guitar during our ceremony without us asking for that, which was amazing. He played the songs we had on our list during dancing and was great at keeping the reception timeline and the party going! I would highly recommend Trading Post Productions, they are professional and really, really talented. I am so happy we chose them.

John was an absolute joy to work with. He was easy to chat with, had great suggestions, and really listened to our requests. We had one of their musicians play solo guitar for the prelude/ceremony and John DJ'd the reception. He was attentive and helped put a mic on my husband so everyone could hear our vows, then set up fun lights and kept the music jiving throughout the night. He really helped keep the flow of our event smooth!

We hired Trading Post as ceremony musicians for our wedding, and they were absolutely fantastic! John was so responsive and caring in our meetings; he really paid attention to the details. I told him that I wanted to surprise my future husband by singing a song at the wedding with him and Briana accompanying (guitar and violin), and he was totally down for it! They even let me come rehearse with them prior to the wedding. They sounded beautiful on the day of and gave a really magical feel to the ceremony. So many guests told us at the reception how wonderful the music sounded. If you are looking for ceremony musicians, look no further! They'll take great care of you!

We hired Trading Post Productions for our daughter's May 7th 2021 wedding at the Garden of the Gods Club. Since the wedding was rescheduled from 2020, we had the pleasure of working with John and his team since July 2019. John was so easy to work with during the planning stage and had a lot of great suggestions for making the day special. The quintet was absolutely amazing! They made the ceremony and cocktail hour very special with a play list curated in collaboration with Emily and Dwight. John, Brianna and their team of musicians turned our vision into reality. Working with John from the start was easy with his great communication and customer service. Music was a top priority for us and we couldn’t have asked for a better company. They were able to accommodate a tricky venue and make everything go smoothly. We used the violinist Talia and the guitarist Connor- both made our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner magical and unique to us! We had DJ Jay for our dance party and he absolutely killed it, everyone was out there groovin all night! He didn’t take over the mic or play anything we didn’t want. It was all perfect! This company is 100% professional, honest and on time. We hired their pianist Kevin for the ceremony portion of our wedding and it exceeded all expectations. I’d highly recommend them!

What can I say about these guys... they were absolutely amazing!! To start, we live in eastern Nebraska so planning a destination wedding isn’t always a walk in the park. However, John was so attentive and communicative with us. He really helped us capture our special day perfectly! For our wedding ceremony, we had a pianist, vocalist, guitarist and violinist all through the Trading Post Co! They were absolutely beautiful and we received so many compliments about how wonderful the music was. John was also our DJ for the reception and did a fabulous job transitioning into different songs, watching the guest and how the mood was, took request songs, and so much more! In a nutshell, they definitely deserve way more than 5 stars and would recommend them to everyone!!
