Headed in to our 8th (!) season, our TWO taco trailers offer up the PERFECT value-based blend between food trucks (with their fun, unique, interactive qualities) and high end caterers (which present an extensive level of service options paired with a knowledgeable planning team). Having catered parties for 20, 200 and even up to 600+, we understand how factors like budget, menu variety and timing ultimately create a wildly successful catering experience that our clients end up feeling ecstatic about.
Throughout the 2024 catering season, we were fortunate enough to provide food truck catering for over 80 events! Our crew is well versed in off-site food and beverage service and we look forward to providing guidance based on the specific needs and expectations of each couple with the goal of ensuring that every guest continues to rave about the food (and service) for WEEKS after your party! TRAIL BREAK offers unique, fresh and fun food to cater to a myriad of dietary restrictions and tastes. Menus are fully customizable and our ability to handle modifications to fit every guests' needs creates a stress-free menu planning experience for couples excited to try something out of the ordinary.
Know any other food trucks that offer passed apps along with a stationed spread of chips and dips? Chili-dusted watermelon, chicken quesadillas, house made guac and crispy fried maple-sambal duck wings are all great ways to set the tone during cocktail hour.
Speaking of cocktails, TRAIL BREAK is fully licensed in the state of Vermont to serve beer, wine and cocktails at your event! Draft beers (which you can help choose) and big-batch cocktails like our watermelon margarita, 'beach bum' rum punch or boozy guava lemonade are popular choices for couples seeking a one-stop shop for their food AND bar needs. Our consumption-based pricing model creates an affordable way for party planners to offer a fun (and EFFICIENT) bar without feeling they are paying an unnecessary amount for drinks that might never get consumed. Sick of watching the bartenders sweat it out as the line stacks up? We have bar offerings (and service strategies) to get through the initial post-ceremony rush ensuring your guests get back to the mingling (and of course, EATING) quickly!
When it comes time for the main course, tacos are front and center! Grilled fish, carne asada, slow roasted carnitas and black bean tacos are among the favorites that are made to order while each guest helps themselves to exciting sides like grilled street corn, sweet potato hash and avocado-ranch summer salad!

Labor, date and distance will all play a role in a quote from any caterer. Our full service catering ranges between $4000 up to $10,000+ (averaging around $7800) with per person totals from $45-$110+ (for food and bar service). We look forward to working on a quote for you!

TRAIL BREAK started as an idea to bring something that was lacking around the Upper Valley: a fun, vibrant hangout spot that happens to serve some of the best scratch made food around. My focus has always been on the overall experience of dining at a restaurant - not just what's on the plate - and this has naturally extended into our taco trailer business. We are a crew that clearly has fun at events (we'd have to given that we roll up with a giant, bright, plaid wrapped trailer) & focuses on VALUE. We have been ALL over VT, NH and beyond during our 600+ events and look forward to the next one

These guys made our wedding vendor dreams come true! We knew from before we started mapping out our wedding that we wanted a taco truck, and we figured it would not be an easy task to get one of such quality to come out to the boonies of Vermont. But Trail Break did, and they made the whole process so easy! We were completely floored during our first tasting with them, at just how good every single item on their menu is. We locked it in immediately from there, and never looked back. The fact that they can be your food and drink provider, all in one, is huge. And it’s just all so good, with so many flexible options for drinks from batch cocktails to single serve cans - they really work with you to match what you’re looking for. And then on site, I can’t say enough good things about how flexible and chill they were. Loved the service, loved the food, loved hanging on to all the leftovers for guests to snack on and enjoy later in the night. Truly the best!!

Trailbreak was amazing. Fantastic margaritas, delicious appetizers and THE BEST tacos. They were great to work with, very accommodating, super professional, and the servers were friendly. I have a lot of foodie friends, and they were impressed.

Run, do not walk to book Trail Break for your wedding or event! Trail Break catered our daughter's wedding and people are still talking about the amazing food and drinks! All communication between Topher, Sabrina and my daughter was clear, efficient and timely. The passed apps, delicious drinks, plenty of sides, the best tacos any of us have ever had, and just straight up great service, made for a wonderful experience. Our daughter wanted guests to have great food and a fun time and Trail Break delivered all of that! We even made a road trip 2 weeks later to their Quechee restaurant (1.5 hrs away) to have more tacos! We would recommend Trail Break without hesitation and wish we had another wedding coming up to book them again!

We hired Trail Break to cater our wedding recently and we are beyond obsessed with the food and the service. From the very first informational call, to the tasting, to the wedding day, everything was professional, timely, and amazing. Not only do they have the BEST food out there, but it is evident how dedicated they are to providing the best service too. The owner, Topher, is super friendly and down to earth and clearly has a heart for this. Sabrina, the head caterer, is phenomenal at her job and made sure we did not have to worry about one thing on the wedding day. We got so so many compliments on the food from our guests. They have a ton of options and allow you to build your own menu for the day. We did their '2.5 tacos per person' quantity option and there was plentyyyy of food and enough to enjoy leftovers too -which they let you keep everything!! Lastly, the prices were VERY affordable and reasonable (especially compared to many of the other quotes we received from different vendors). We would highly recommend Trail Break and will be sure to use them again if we ever are throwing a catered event. 100000/10 stars. Phenomenal.

Trail Break will be catering my daughter’s wedding next June and I am feeling very excited and confident about a great outcome after meeting Topher and doing a tasting at his Quechee restaurant.
When I first reached out to Topher to inquire about his catering services, he responded promptly with a phone call and patiently answered all of my questions, provided a sample menu and contract, and gave tips and suggestions on ways to make the whole food truck experience run smoothly. He also offered to do a tasting menu for the bride and groom when they were in the area. We took him up on his offer and couldn’t have been more pleased.
All of the food and drinks were delicious, the service was fantastic, and Topher’s input, suggestions, answers to our questions, etc. put everyone at ease. My daughter and her fiance left Trail Break very excited about the food and the experience Trail Break will be able to offer for their wedding!

We hired Trail Break to cater our Oct. '24 wedding in Shelburne, VT and could not have been more pleased and impressed with the results. They were able to customize our menu options to incorporate some more fall-themed foods as well as plenty of vegan/vegetarian options for our guests. The food was delicious and left all of our guests raving about how great it was. The tacos were made-to-order in their taco truck which meant guests could customize their order and the food was served hot and fresh. They also knocked it out of the park with some tasty pre-mix cocktails and a wide array of drink options. And the taco truck itself was a hit too! The ambience created by their setup added colorful & great vibes to our reception party. Last but not least, their staff were great! They were highly attentive to all of our needs and their execution was top-notch. Highly recommended all around.

Topher and his team at Trail Break were AMAZING! From the beginning, Topher was open, honest and speedy with his communication. He answered the dozens of (silly) questions we had, and was always willing to guide us in the right direction with food and beverage selection. The food was OUTSTANDING, and our wedding guests could not stop raving about it. Our favorite part (besides the unbelievable quesadillas) was the family feeling that Topher and his team brought on our wedding day. We did not feel like we were just another wedding to Trail Break; it truly felt like old-time friends were throwing down some amazing food for our special day, and that is impossible to put a price tag on!!! We used Trail Break catering for our summer 2024 wedding in Quechee, Vermont, and they were fantastic! The tacos and grilled water melon were a huge hit. We also appreciated how flexible they were on the bar menu. Thank you to Topher and the team for all of their work. We had about 120 guests and heard back from many of them how great the food was. The end-of-night churros were a big hit as well.

Trailbreak gave us an EPIC wedding. We could not have asked for a more perfect caterer. They were professional, personal, extremely hardworking and created an atmosphere that goes way beyond any other caterer. They took a lot of stress off of our shoulder on our big day by taking care of all of the little details. Every guest was extremely satisfied with the fun flavors, food quality, and cocktails. I am so happy that we chose Trail Break to cater our wedding! The whole team did such an incredible job, and the food is absolutely amazing! Especially the duck wings, our guests are still talking about them.
I booked Trail Break and signed a contract without being able to do a tasting. (Their restaurant was under construction). After reading all their excellent reviews, we decided to take a leap of faith and go for it. Months later when they reopened and we got to have our tasting, we were so relieved at how delicious everything was! There wasn't a single item we tried that we did not like.

I could not recommend Trailbreak enough. We eloped and booked Trailbreak to cater our casual reception a few months after our wedding. Sabrina and Topher were so accommodating throughout the months leading up to our event, always ready to take a call and answer questions when they came up.
As someone who has food allergies, planning and attending events with food can be challenging. The Trailbreak team catered their menu to make sure we included [V][GF][DF] options for me and our guests. Everyone RAVED about the food and was so excited to take some home at the end of the party. On the day of the event, the truck team was very accommodating. My husband ended up spending the first half of the day in the ER. While it was stressful in the moment, Sabrina and the team did an amazing job taking care of our 100+ guests (and ME!) until his return.
Not to mention, the truck setup itself was so fun for our event. The Trailbreak team is self-sufficient, requiring really just a place to park. They took care of the rest! We loved that the taps were served off the truck. The string lights around the serving area were perfect for when it got dark out.
Not only was it exciting to have a caterer who was local to the area, we felt that the whole process was super affordable. Do yourself a favor and get the spicy marg. You will not regret it.

Trail Break did a KILLER job with our wedding. Our guests have continuously raved about the food throughout our wedding and in the days and weeks since. They will become the hot topic of conversation with your friends and family if you hire them! Everything was delicious, they were quick with food service and the line never got too long. All of the staff was professional, but also laid back and fun and it made for such a great atmosphere at our reception. Their catering menu has tons of options to customize your reception for any palate, and they have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options as well to suit anyone's dietary needs.
They were also great to work with during the planning and prep phases, drafting multiple quotes for us so we could get a sense for what was available to us. They're very accommodating with drink selections as well, allowing you to choose specifically what will be on tap at your wedding! We felt very confident hiring them for our wedding because of all the experience and expertise they brought to the planning process. They even helped us find our venue! That's not a service they provide, but they're just really nice people, and so great to work with.
We had such a blast with Trail Break, and could not more highly recommend them!!!

We had Trail Break come to cater our wedding and WOW- are we glad we did. From the very start Sabrina and her team were awesome. Sabrina was so easy and fun to work with- her professional yet laid back energy was so calming and helpful during the planning process and we really appreciated her expertise and insights. Trail Breaks staff was extremely communicative, friendly, able to work with the space and our budget and still give TOP NOTCH service. I cannot recommend them enough to any couple looking for a fun & unique way to feed their guests.
All weekend long our guests were telling us this was the best wedding food they've EVER HAD and that experience started with Trail Break....the Mahi tacos had me coming back for thirds they were so incredible.
One of my biggest regrets is that we (Allison & Bill) weren't able to take leftovers with us home (crazy post wedding schedule) but our guests were lining up with takeout boxes for that guacamole! (and chips, salsa, mahi, pulled pork, etc).

Guest could not help but get in line. They had wonderful helpers passing out spiced grilled watermelon and grilled shishito peppers as well as other goodies! We booked Trail Break for our rehearsal dinner this past weekend and 100% would recommend! Everything went smoothly, was on time and very delicious. All the guests were super happy with the food options and we even got to keep leftovers after dinner. (great late night munchie snack) Trail Break also provided all paper dinnerware products (utensils, plates, dishes etc) so we didn't have to rent more dinnerware which was greatly appreciated. Trail Break catered my wedding (~110 guests), and they did an incredible job. First, as a general note, having a food truck cater a big event is a great hack because it solves so many problems. Trail Break provided food, dishware, cutlery, and drinks, and people were happy to wait in line to put their order in as opposed to having their meal delivered by a wait staff. It made for a fun event. Tacos are also a convenient food for dealing with dietary restrictions - Trail Break was very happy to work with us on this. Also, all tacos were made to order, so it was easy for guests to adjust any of the menu items as needed to fit their dietary needs. As for working with Trail Break and their service at our event, Topher and his team couldn't have done a better job. Topher did a great job working with us on the food & drink menus and figuring out logistics. The team on site for our event was very professional and did a great job managing food and drink orders all night. We heard nothing but great feedback from our guests. People loved the food and mixed drinks. I would without a doubt work with Trail Break again for a catered event, and anytime I am in the White River Junction area, I will be stopping by.

We cannot recommend Trail Break enough for catering our 205 person wedding. Everyone we spoke to said how much they enjoyed the food and drinks, particularly all the tacos, the quesadillas, watermelon, and watermelon margaritas. They were also so accommodating to our specific drink needs like our signature drinks, and were willing to work with us to make our vision come to life. Topher and his team were also great at communicating through our whole process, and on the day of, showed up big time. We had Trail Break for our welcome party the night before my son's wedding on 9/7/24 and we could not have been happier. I did not hear one negative word from our 50+ guests. Only tons of rave reviews on both the food (tacos, sides, guac and dips etc.) as well as the service in both food and bar. They fix the tacos individually so that each guest could adapt the ingredients to fit their dietary needs such as vegan. The crew was so nice and they kindly packed up the leftovers that we wanted and left the place super clean. I would not hesitate to recommend Trail Break. Thanks especially to Sabrina for all her help with the menu and for giving us a great experience when we went to the restaurant for a tasting. I would highly recommend Trail Break for any occasion that involves food and fun!

Trail Break was AMAZING for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Topher was extremely responsive and helpful during the planning process, even helping us find our rehearsal dinner location. Trail Break made our entire Friday night special and unique. First, the food is amazing and we received a ton of compliments from guests. Second, the drinks and service were also outstanding. Drinks were set and ready to go so guests didn’t have to wait too long. Third, the staff is so friendly and helpful. They made our Friday night seamless and special. We actually ended up going back to Trail Break two days after our wedding for another meal! The food is terrific. All around 6/5 star experience (if I could give it that rating). Trail Break did an amazing job catering our 75 person outdoor August wedding! I highly recommend them. We already knew their food was excellent from the many times we've been to the Trail Break restaurant, and their food truck at our wedding did not disappoint. We had Trail Break cater a rehearsal dinner for 40 at a fairly remote location in Vermont. Spoiler…they are the best. Communication and expectation management leading up to the event was excellent. On site staff were professional and friendly with a can-do attitude. Equipment and set up is self sufficient. When gone, it was like they were never there. Food is outstanding. Loved the tacos and duck wings, but the street corn is a whole level up. The Churros with maple syrup are life altering… I highly recommend Trail Break for your event.

Trail Break catered out 8/16/24 family pre-wedding party in Chittenden, VT.
All the appetizers, the guac and chips, duck wings, and grilled pepper appetizers were amazing. The taco selections were awesome, and I have never seen my family following around food servers for more. They couldn't get enough of the churros!
We had lots of left overs that the team packaged up for us to take with us. Lunch the next day was a bonus.
Family raved about the food and bar service, the friendliness of Shamus and the crew on site and, the overall fun factor of the food truck. We highly recommend Topher and his crew! Thank you, Trail Break and Topher, for the wonderful and memorable event.

We had trailbreak for our wedding reception dinner for 90 guests at and outdoor venue. Sabrina and her team at Trailbreak were very communicative in the planning stages with a fast response time for any questions related to allergies, preferences on dishes, etc. The food was great, and exactly what we were looking for. We had some concerns about getting the food truck over a bridge on our property, but Trailbreak went the extra mile to ensure that all the dishes requiring heavier frying equipment made it to the venue. Trialbreak Food Truck catered our wedding day, and they were absolutely fantastic to work with from start to finish. First and foremost, the food was delicious. We received numerous compliments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the meal. We had some passed apps, 4 different taco options as well as some side dishes.
One of the things that impressed us most was how efficiently the food was served. Despite a decently long line (we had about 80 people), the wait time was minimal thanks to the quick and organized service provided by Trialbreak's staff.
Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our experience with Trialbreak. They helped make our wedding day even more special, and we highly recommend them to anyone in need of catering services.

Trail Break catered our wedding this fall and they did such an amazing job. They took the time to break down plenty of plan options for us, walked us step by step through how much to order of each item and what the fan favorites were, and they provided stellar service. We had an extremely rainy wedding day at the top of a very muddy, hilly venue. Despite the weather, they opened up shop and kept all of our guests fed. The food itself was absolutely outstanding--everyone was talking about it--and the cocktails were just as great. The had tents set up to keep everyone dry, had the custom coasters and napkins we made ready for the guests, and when the day was over, they packaged all of our leftovers up neatly (which we devoured over the next few days). We had a wide mix of guests with allergies (dairy, soy, nuts, gluten), and a few vegetarians and vegans as well, and Trail Break accommodated everyone perfectly. The staff was extremely kind and gracious despite the cold and the rain. We DIYed as much of our wedding as we could, so having Trail Break come in and out so professionally so I didn't have to worry about a thing was such a relief. Their pricing was also some of the fairest I encountered while looking at local caterers. Overall I cannot recommend them enough. If you are considering them for your wedding or event, don't hesitate!

Topher was extremely responsive, friendly, professional, and overall great to work with! The service and food was excellent and then we had great leftovers for the whole week after our wedding. Highly recommend, thank you Topher + the Trailbreak team for pulling off a delicious feast for our group of almost 200, even in the rain!

There aren’t enough words to describe how incredible an experience we shared with Trail Break. Topher and his team were by far on top of their game from the first day I contacted them. Super responsive, and very accommodative as well. Topher helped us plan the food and beverage menu and work thru details and changes, as they presented themselves.
During the wedding we had a pretty steady unrelenting rain. And the crew went above and beyond to make sure our guests had the protection they needed.
The food was SO good. Ahead of the wedding, we had driven to Trail Breaks’ restaurant in White River Junction. Having only found them online, we decided to make the 3h trip to try the offerings. Options were many and it was hard to decide what to try. But Topher was on site that day, and made recommendations and presented a wonderful spread. The feedback we received from guests was super positive all the way around. *Muah! Chefs kiss, seriously. We were impressed and enjoyed leftovers for many days because hey, there’s no such thing as too much Mexican, there just isn’t.
Very excited to visit Trail Break at their new location in the spring/summer of 2024

Everybody associated with TrailBreak was excellent. Starting with planning the menu, tweaking as numbers changed and we changed our minds. Topher and Sabrina were with us every step of the way. Event day they arrived early to set up. Staff were incredibly attentive to our guests and were just perfectly professional and capable. The food was amazing everyone raved about all of it really. All in all just a perfect 60th bday party thanks to Trail Break.

Hands down the best vendor we hired for our wedding. All of our guests were raving about the food and cocktails. They even worked with us to get kegs of beer from the brewery where we had our first date. Made the process super easy and stress free. Pricing is also very reasonable. Staff was super friendly and also made sure that we were looked after as the bride and groom. Would absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for an amazing experience for their guests.

Trail Break is the must have food truck at your wedding! Topher and the Trail Crew are AMAZING! We had a backyard wedding with ~100 guests and everyone could not stop talking about the food. We are 2 days post wedding and are still getting messages from family and friends raving.
Everything from the cocktail hour to the dinner service was phenomenal. Topher's communication throughout the entire planning process was great and he went above and beyond accommodating our needs.
10/10, could not recommend more!!

"Tacos? In Vermont?!" everyone said when we told them what we'd decided to do for our son's rehearsal dinner. As Californians, YES! We were determined to deliver both the sunshine (after a summer of near non-stop rain) and the tacos for our son's backyard wedding in Thetford. The Friday evening event for 50 guests was fabulous - Trail Break took care of everything for us, providing all the festive set-up along with fun drinks (margaritas, beers and craft sodas) and of course - excellent tacos. The rural site was a bit tricky for the taco truck to back into but the staff were all very calm and careful and managed to get the truck to where we wanted it and set-up quickly. We did a salsa/guac station for appetizers which was really much better than I expected (our SoCal bar on this type of fare is pretty high!) And the street corn and salads were stellar as well. The low key vibe of having a taco truck as a welcome event was the perfect way to break the ice for our guests who had come from California, Florida and Denmark for this wedding. VT friends of ours have already booked Trail Break for their daughter's wedding next fall, so we'll have the opportunity to come back and enjoy it all again! Highly recommend :)

We used Trail Break catering for our son's rehearsal dinner. Very responsive and easy to work with. The food was outstanding. Everyone loved the tacos. The pineapple salsa was a big hit and their chips were the best I've ever had. We also included their bar option which was awesome. I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

Really great event to have the Trail Break Taco truck at a party in mid-August, the Friday evening before our Saturday wedding. The staff, excellent food, and on-tap beverages made a very fun and relaxed event. It was very easy working with Topher to build the food and drink menu, and have it prepped on-site by a cheerful accommodating taco team. As a surprise, we had the Palmer Lane Maple Creemee truck pull in for the last hour of the party. The Trail Break Taco and Palmer Lane Maple are a combo that's hard to beat for a yard party.
