their office. First impressions were horrible. Though it's located in the Galleria- it's an old dirty, 1980's looking office with piles and piles of paper everywhere (think horder). Everything was just really outdated. That pretty much sums up my entire experience- outdated (I'll get to that in a minute). So after the informational session, we wanted to go ahead and book our honeymoon and stayed afterwards to do so. Thankfully we had done a TON of research on our own and had priced everything out that we wanted (highly suggest you do this). We only went with this company as they would price match what we found on our own. Originally, the price we got quoted from them was incorrect and did NOT include some specials like a night free. This was a big cost difference. This was really strange to me as I would think, as the expert on travel, he would have realized this. Luckily, he was able to get everything we wanted after I pointed out the mistakes on their quote and showed him in details the "specials" the resorts were advertising that we were eligible for. If we had we not done our own research, I don't think we would we have received the same package/price. One of the problems is this company is VERY sandals oriented- which is fine- but we wanted part of our honeymoon to be at another resort (not sandals)- so that was the part that became confusing. So going back to the part of being updated. When we paid our deposit (in person, we didn't trust doing it over the phone and they have nothing set up online), the owner literally wrote down my credit card number and information in a spiral notebook!! Yes, I was concerned. Which a few months later when we needed to pay the balance, he couldn't find my information and I had to give him all over again (great knowing there's a spiral notebook missing with all the credit card info). They advertise "honeymoon registry" but there's not an online system like other places. They told me to have my guests call their office and give payment over the phone. Yea right, my friends/family won't trust that. When we got our receipt for the honeymoon and travel agenda- it left off important information like the total cost! We had to email and call multiple times before getting a comprehensive travel invoice. It was just a headache working with this company from the very beginning. I should have known that my first impressions were correct and gone elsewhere- but we were excited and ready to book our trip. Again, we did ALL of the research ourselves and just used this company to book the travel. The coorespondence and followup was extremely poor. The owner, though sooo friendly and nice- really needs to update the technology in the office to make for a better experience.

l-inclusive resort on the beach, the people there who were associated with Shaman's company were so wonderful and helpful. We had the BEST honeymoon we could've asked for. He took extra care to make sure that we could fly out of Austin and then back into Houston to fit our schedule. We had a few hiccups getting to and from Punta Cana due to the airline, and Shaman answered our calls and helped us at very unfortunate hours on two different Sundays. Not only did he make sure that we had guaranteed seats on the next available flights both ways, but he's now currently helping us battle the airlines to compensate our lost time. We are so incredibly grateful that we went through Shaman and Travel Lifestyles! He helped us create some incredible memories to start our life together!!
