I got married in Costa Rica at Dreams Las Mareas in November 2023. Right from the beginning, Amy was lovely. As someone unfamiliar with working with travel agents, I had reservations about what to expect, considering the horror stories I've heard about brides being ignored by their agents, questionable contracts, and more. I initially considered booking my wedding directly with the resort and having guests handle their own room reservations. Don't do this. It poses the risk of significant price hikes for your guests' rooms, and you are leaving money on the table if you're not getting those room concessions (if your resort offers them). Amy alleviated my concerns by providing clear explanations and patiently addressing all our questions. Amy's expertise lies in Costa Rica, and our wedding at Dreams Las Mareas was nothing short of amazing. Her strong rapport with Dreams Las Mareas proved to be a crucial factor in our planning. Destination weddings often involve slow planning, as these resorts host numerous events. Amy's connections expedited the process for us, ensuring timely answers to essential questions that helped us with budget planning. While Amy's TA services are not free, I firmly believe in the principle that you get what you pay for. Her valuable connections with our resort, her availability to answer questions, and her kindness, far exceed the cost of her services. Amy played a pivotal role in negotiating a favorable contract that resulted in substantial room concessions from our resort. The booking process for our guests, many of whom were first-time users of a travel agent, was remarkably smooth thanks to Amy and her team. I'll be sharing a separate review about my wedding at Dreams Las Mareas soon. In the meantime, if you're considering Dreams Las Mareas for your wedding, choosing Amy is a no-brainer. Given her specialization in Costa Rica destination weddings, I wholeheartedly recommend Amy for weddings anywhere in Costa Rica.

Amy has been instrumental in creating my dream wedding from the moment we got into contact. She helped guide me through picking a venue, setting up our room block and securing a venue in Cabo. Although we cancelled our Grenada honeymoon for the time being due to COVID setbacks/risks at the resort (resort scheduled to open just 3 days before our arrival), we will DEFINITELY be rescheduling this getaway through Amy down the road once life normalizes again. Amy was wonderful in helping my wife and I plan our honeymoon. She worked nights, weekends, and hours on end to tweak even the slightest aspect of our package. We ultimately canceled the honeymoon we booked through Amy (due to circumstances surrounding Americans in the DR) and had trouble obtaining our refund from the vendor. Amy called the vendor when they opened around 9am and waited until 3pm to finally speak to a representative. We finally got our refund a week later.
