Tree of Life Films and Photography

My husband and I used Jennifer and Tom as our wedding photographers and videographers in October 2021. We had interviewed a few other photographers, but really loved their approach, general aesthetic, and the fact that they could do both video and photography. Unrelated to ToL, the morning of our wedding was a little chaotic and just wasn't the vibe we were hoping for. However, Jennifer and Tom seemed to bring this zen peace with them, which made our getting ready and first look so relaxing and rejuvenating. I had recently been in another wedding, and I knew this "vibe" was not the standard - especially in a post-COVID wedding season. I cannot say enough good things about how their demeanors positively impacted not only our wedding day, but the photo themselves. Our photos are so ethereal and natural. We look so happy and comfortable because that's how it felt working with Jennifer and Tom. They really captured our love and the spirit of our relationship. Cannot wait to see the video - I have no doubts it is amazing. As an aside, I will also say Jennifer took such amazing shots of our wedding details and tablescapes. This wasn't something I thought all that much about, but now I am so grateful for these gorgeous images that capture the mood and look of our wedding day. I seriously want to frame all those images!

Jen and Tom from Tree of Life are incredible. Working with them was amazing right from the first phone call. It started off with just a chat on the phone to get to know each other. It was great to already feel a personal connection right from the start. During our first shoot, they made us feel so incredibly comfortable and open. We felt so at ease the whole time, and this was our first professional shoot! This was so essential in capturing candid and natural shots. They are both incredibly intuitive and creative as well. During our engagement shoot, they found the coolest spots to get gorgeous shots. Places we would never think to go to. They just have awesome sense of what looks good. Jen and Tom took into account our vibe and aesthetic with the photos/video they created. It just felt so us. My husband and I, all our friends and family can not stop looking over the gorgeous photos and cinematic video. So happy that our special day was captured in the most authentic and gorgeous way. Tom and Jennifer were beyond any expectations we could have had for wedding photographers, they made my husband and I feel so comfortable with having our photos taken, they have a great work ethic and are very talented. The photographs they took were works of art. They have such chemistry and it shows in their photography. We are so happy that they got to be the ones to capture our special day. We are so grateful. They are definitely highly recommend by us and we tell all our friends when they decide to get married we have the perfect photographers.

Tom & Jennifer are epically talented. I've never seen lighting used so fantastically well! When we got our pictures back, we were speechless and floored! Our families cried because these two captured our wedding moments in the most beautiful way. They also do their absolute best to give you a preview soon after your wedding to share with others. During covid, Tom & Jennifer were flexible and very kind and always responded when we changed something or had any questions. We definitely, highly recommend these two; they take your memories to the best level and beyond.

Tom and Jen did both our engagement photos and our wedding film and photos. All of the pictures are just gorgeous; they capture every moment so beautifully, it's always better than what you imagine. At our engagement shoot, Tom was filming and Jen was taking pictures. They work quickly (which, I mean, when you're waiting with baited breathe for your wedding photos...it's definitely a plus!) and are incomparable. We just received our films and HOLY MOLY. This footage, these photos---it's all more than we every could have imagined. Tom and Jen knew exactly how to frame every instant. They honored our wishes, caught every intimate moment, and found a way to create film and edit pictures that made the day feel like the fairytale we dreamed. Before our wedding, Tom and Jen were privy to our concerns and were there for us on the day of our wedding. They are thoughtful, creative, generous---and know exactly how to craft the day cinematically. They are a tremendous couple, a wonderful team, and--together--an absolute force. We looked, for months, for the PERFECT team and, truly, could not have dreamed up such special keepsakes (and such wonderful people who put them together).

My husband & I cannot say enough positive things about Jennifer & Tom! They are an absolute pleasure to work with and made us feel a sense of calmness during our wedding day! They are so fun to work with and felt as if they were friends of ours when they were documenting our special day! When we received our preview photos, we were truly blown away. There are people who consider themselves experts at what they do. They only learn the skills they need for their specific trade and that’s it. Tom and Jen take their skills to the next level. They are both professional and personal and combine and work on both of these aspects while working to capture your special moments. These two want to get to know the people behind their lens. Not just on their big day, but before it. They’re a down to earth couple who can put anyone at ease. So much so that it’s incredibly easy to be yourself around them on your big day without feeling awkward or uneasy. This way, they truly capture who you are or the true essence of your relationship. I spent a good two months to find these two. As fate would have it, they are a couple who do both photography and cinematography and are fairly local! We fell in love with the life that they captured in their pictures and videos. Everyones’ happiness and love looked and felt authentic. We had to have them be a part of our big day. We would be lying if we said that these two just captured our day and that was all. Jen and Tom played a huge role in how we look back on our wedding day and our entire trip in Iceland. Since we communicated often with them, I knew that they were researching all about the country. This incredible attention to detail and planning was evident on our big day and on the second day as well. They went with the flow wherever we went those days and became leaders to take the shots in places that were unique and new to all of us. Any outsider probably would have assumed that they had been to Iceland before with their sense and eye for adventure and detail. This further put us at ease and the entire day was actually quite fun! They want to take things to the next level with you in order to make your day that more amazing and the pictures that more breathtaking. I don’t know too many people who can herd about fifty people so kindly out of the way to take a photograph. Their kindness and patience was so infectious, that the crowd graciously obliged while they took pictures at a major tourist spot in Iceland. Those two days in Iceland with Tom and Jennifer truly set the stage and feel for our entire trip in Iceland. We are still getting compliments from our sneak peek photographs. I am not lying that everyone who has seen them say that they belong in a magazine. We truly can’t wait to see the rest of their wonderful works of art and our video of our big day. There are not enough good things my wife and I can say about Tom and Jennifer and Tree of Life. While they did amazing work taking both our engagement photos and doing the photography and videography for our wedding, that really only scratches the surface of our experience. In so many ways, they did not just provide a service for us, but were rather a real part of our journey. We all got to know each other in a way that made the actual photography a seamless, comfortable experience, and we consider them our friends and thought of them as guests of our wedding as much as any one that received an invitation in the mail. Initially I was skeptical of doing professional photography at all, let alone something like an engagement photo shoot, but working with them that first time and seeing what they can do to make you really come alive as yourself in pictures, I was convinced and could not for a minute imagine not having them with us the whole way through the wedding. Tom and Jennifer are just good people. We loved just joking around or having a drink with them as much as we liked their work. We were sad when it was all over, and I can only hope we can concoct a reason to do another photo shoot down the road.

I cannot recommend Tom and Jennifer enough!! Not only are they incredibly talented, but they are so nice and easy to be around which made for such a fun, relaxing day. We booked them for our engagement shoot as well as wedding photos and video. I highly recommend having a session with them before the actual wedding day. I was surprised how stiff and awkward I was at the beginning of the engagement shoot and would have been so overwhelmed trying to get those jitters out on the wedding day. Plus, we felt like they were already our friends! We have gotten endless compliments on our photos and the video is so unique and beautiful! If you're on the fence like we were about a wedding video...DO IT! The day goes by so quickly we had already forgotten so many details, it's so fun to be able to relive it. I'm so excited for any couple that is lucky enough to work with them! We have already discussed that we will have to book them for a family shoot once our baby arrives because we just aren't ready to accept that we won't get to work with them again!

After seeing their work on other weddings, we were blown away and Tree of Life was the very first vendor we booked for our wedding. Our engagement photos came out amazing, our wedding photos are even more amazing, and our wedding video is literally the best thing we've ever seen. The quality of their work is seriously unmatched. Everything was delivered on the timeline expected, and Tom and Jennifer were great at communicating with us the throughout the process. We entirely trusted Tree of Life to do their thing, and I advise everyone to do the same - take their direction and trust them creatively. They are the absolute BEST. We will treasure the photos and video they created for us forever.

I cannot say enough great things about Tom and Jennifer with Tree of Life Films & Photography - they were absolutely spectacular and we have found our photographers for life! With my husband being a wedding videographer himself, we took his feedback and that set our criteria for finding a photographer/videographer for our big day. The two big things were: photographer and videographer need to work well together, and strong emotional connection with photos/video. When we came across Tree of Life - their photos and films made my husband and I tear up (and that was watching the films without the music!!) Tom and Jennifer hit a home run (and then some!) and we are just blown away by their skills, professionalism, personalities - and more! Throughout the whole planning process they were there to help answer any questions very quickly and were a huge part of helping establish a great timeline for the day. They had this ability to make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera - it was such a relief! They were always searching for the best angles, the best natural lighting, and they work together so amazing! We've only seen a small preview of the images and I have never been more in love with photos before - I am just simply amazed. You will not be disappointed when booking with Tree of Life - absolute best decision we made for our wedding weekend celebration!

I cannot say enough great things about Tom and Jennifer from Tree of Life Films. They were the first vendor we booked and we booked them before we had officially signed our contract for our venue because I didn't want to lose them. Their pictures and films are artistic and beautiful! They are both so talented and really have an eye for capturing the beauty in a moment. I balled watching all of their films that they made for other couples on their wedding day as I'm sure I will when I see ours. We had our engagement session done through them and our pictures were absolutely gorgeous. They are also both so friendly and easy to get along with. They work extremely well together as a husband and wife team and really make you feel comfortable. They guided us with our timeline for the schedule of picture-taking. On our wedding day, it was a complete downpour in the morning and they both had a positive attitude about it and really made us get excited about winging it outside anyway! We were fortunate that the rain stopped and they were ready to roll and walk around the property and get some amazing shots, even with the mud. We had a mist rain during our outside ceremony and it was no problem at all for these two. We only saw the highlight pictures and I am so in love already! Tree of Life Films is the best, but don't take my word for it, check our their films on Vimeo and their website. Very highly recommend!! I wouldn't have hired anyone else!

Tom and Jennifer of Tree of Life films are the perfect husband and wife video team. They were so professional and personable! We got married on the coldest day and they braved the elements to make sure we got all of the shots we needed. We didn't get our video yet, but we can't wait to see it! We love all of their work and know our video will be nothing less then amazing.

during the planning process i was online looking at video after video trying to find a videographer that would fit our unique space and quirky personalities. i came across tom and jennifers videos and immediately fell in love. i sent it along to my husband and he was in love as well! we were both film majors in school so we like the more artistic look as opposed to he standard camera in one spot. tom and jennifer are true artists and their films are so unique! as well as being insanely talented, they are 2 of the nicest people! they are such a great couple and you can tell immediately they they love love love what they do! we fell in love with the look and ease of their videos and we cannot wait to see what they have for us!
