Treyburn Country Club is a beautiful place to have your wedding however if you are looking a for a place that allows you to do anything outside of the traditional wedding please choose somewhere else. My experience was not a great experience. I didn’t have the traditional wedding because of COVID and my Husbands religion. This proved to be a problem and caused me and the events coordinator to go back and forth, if you make the slightest change outside of what he is accustomed to, it will be an issue. My decorator and coordinators complained that the staff hovered over them asking questions during setup, my guest complained that when they asked for water refills that they were met with snappy remarks. They truly made us feel I welcomed. Our wedding did start a little late because my Husband forgot my wedding band but we ended on time and didn’t cause the staff at Treyburn to stay later than the time we paid for. My day was perfect because of my Family and friends but I really regret choosing to have my wedding at this location. My wedding was in July of 2021. Please be aware.
We chose Treyburn Country Club for our wedding in April. It is a very nice venue with indoor and outdoor spaces. We chose to have our ceremony on the brick patio, the cocktail hour on the veranda (wrap around porch), and the reception in the indoor ballroom. We thought for the price and variety of space functionality, it was a great deal. The food and beverage minimum was relatively low, compared to other options in the Raleigh Durham area, yet very very tasty. We received dozens of compliments regarding how delicious the food tasted. The one down side is the distance. The venue is approximately 20 to 25 minutes from downtown Durham, which can be an inconvenience for guests and those who may get lost easily.
Pros: delicious food and variety of selection, nice indoor and outdoor areas for photos, dedicated area for groom and bride to prep, provided linens and other tableware, relatively inexpensive choice.
Cons: distance from hotels and guest amenities, low ceilings and some dated decor in the common areas
Beautiful setting, fantastic food, well corordinated, and fit well in our budget. Staff was wonderful and responsive to work with. I highly recommend Treyburn CC. The only negative is it is far from hotels for guests.
We had our wedding at treyburn the day before mothers day. You would think the staff would be stressed and annoyed, but they were great! The wait-staff was very nice to us and all the guests. They were friendly and talkative. The coordinator, Aimee, made sure everything happened perfectly! She was on the ball and a pleasure to work with! They let us do a tasting session of the food before the wedding, so we knew exactly what everyone would be enjoying on our big day. I would definitely recommend them to a couple wanting to have a beautiful wedding! We also found it to be one of the cheaper wedding venues we looked at and you do not have to be a member to use the facilities!
Everything here was fabulous! The events coordinator Aimee was very easy to work with. She emailed me a lot of questions and we met a few times to go everything. The food was excellent, everything was set up as it should be, and Aimee kept everything on time. She really went above and beyond. She did everything from day of coordination, printing the table numbers, and even printed our escort cards. She really made it so I didn't have to worry about anything. The patio outside was gorgeous for the ceremony and the reception was in the dinning room that has 3 walls of floor to ceiling windows. The only drawback is that Treyburn is in North Durham in the middle of no where. It was about a 20 minute drive for the closest hotels, but was well worth it!
Treyburn is gorgeous! Lauren Barry (events coordinator) is the sweetest and was on top of everything. She quickly responded to any questions I had. We had a few guests that had special dietary needs, she made sure that it was covered. We had our wedding outside on the brick patio. The rain held out just for our ceremony! We had a cocktail hour right after the ceremony then opened the main dining room. We served hors d'oeurves for the reception and the food was fabulous! They even gave us more food than we paid for. To any newly engaged couple considering Treyburn, do it! You will not regret it. The staff at Treyburn truly went above and beyond! We continue to get compliments!
The site was quite impressive--regal, yet understated in its elegance. The Site Mgr and staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and flexible in changing the number of guests, the menu and bar selections. The entire staff knew my name (not just the bride), remembered my mother from the tasting, and everyone was dressed in our wedding colors--pink and black for the entire evening.
