We used TripGuy to plan our destination wedding, and it was the best decision we could've made. We knew we wanted an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean, but were not familiar with our options. Turns out there are one million. Mitch took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and provided some options he thought we would like along with very detailed information about the actual experience at the resort (since sorting through reviews can also be hit or miss). His guidance let us to the perfect resort. After that was decided, he turned over managing the room block to Mark. Mark is an absolute pro at managing room reservations for a large group. He took off all the stress of getting our guests booked on time from us. He coordinated flight times and arranged airport transfers. He was incredibly responsive both to us and our guests. He's an absolute pro, and definitely improved the guest experience. Final thoughts - don't be turned off by the upfront fee. The work that Mitch puts in to help you find the perfect spot for your wedding is worth it 100x over. We spoke to a few different agencies before selecting TripGuy, and you could tell from the first phone call that he provides an unprecedented level of service. I would recommend TripGuy with no hesitation to anyone looking to plan a destination wedding.

Melissa was beyond helpful in planning our honeymoon. She took the stress out about thinking on panning this on top of planning a wedding and purchasing our new home. The trip guy folks were great. We used Mitch and his team for our wedding in Tulum and they did a wonderful job. They assisted all our guests in booking their trips, as well as arranging all their transfers. We had no complaints from everyone, and the whole team at the trip guy was very responsive! Would recommend again!

Mitch and his team have an extraordinary amount of knowledge resorts in Mexico. He provided us extensive information about each resort and was able to breakdown reviews regarding quality, luxury, service and entertainment to help us choose what hotel was best for our group. We utilized TripGuy Travel for our destination wedding through a recommendation from our wedding planner who resides in Mexico. They made the process very easy for us and our guests, once we made a decision on where to stay. Mitch fielded multiple calls with us and gave his objective takes on each of the resorts as he has had clients stay nearly everywhere. He was able to connect us with private transfer company (Lomas) and well as taking care of processing all our guests’ accommodations months before the wedding. There was some back and forth for scheduling the transfers, however, that is to be expected when handling ~60 guests. They absolutely know what they are doing and would highly recommend to other travelers or couples planning a destination wedding!

My husband and I recently worked with Mitch as well as Christine from Trip Guy on our destination wedding April 2024 in Punta Cana, DR. For starters, if I could give them 6/5 stars I certainly would! We started this journey back in 2022 when a friend of mine recommended Trip Guy as she also worked with them for her destination wedding. We had several extensive calls with Mitch talking about what we envisioned for our destination wedding. Mitch has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is unmatched! He made it easy for us to be confident in our resort choice. Christine worked with us as well as all of our guests in booking their stay, flights, transfers and assisting with any questions or concerns that arose. She is incredibly patient, responsive and professional! Our wedding and the resort Mitch helped us choose was an absolute dream and every detail was organized and exactly how we envisioned it. TripGuy was so wonderful to work with! This was the first time I’ve used a travel agency and was hesitant but I’m so glad I did! With stress of planning my wedding, planning the honeymoon was the last thing I wanted to do. The Tripguy team provided us plenty of options to travel to within our budget. Once we picked our place (Costa Rica) they planned all lodging, transports, airfare and helped with excursions. We stayed at Nayara Gardens for 3 nights and The Westin Reserva Conchal Golf Resort & Spa. We like both resorts but Nayara Gardens really went above and beyond! I would 100% recommend TripGuy for all destination weddings. They were so helpful in negotiating rates for guest rooms and booking travel for all attendees. They also stepped in to help with any other arrangements with the resort if we were having any trouble with communication and offered helpful suggestions along the entire planning and wedding process. They are quick to respond to all requests and questions as well. The cost is free and they took all the stress of coordinating off my plate.

Our honeymoon at Galley Bay Resort, Antigua was absolutely PERFECT!! The food/drinks/beach/room/people were all incredible! Working with Laura was an absolute joy, she made everything so easy from all the email responses, to the spa bookings, and airport transfers she made everything go so smoothly for us!! Thank you so much!! We definitely made the best decision using TripGuy/Laura, we cannot wait to make a return trip to Antigua! TripGuy Travel did an amazing job setting up and planning our stay in St. Lucia for our honeymoon, specifically Mitch Toren, who was the agent that we worked with! They were very knowledgable about the best way to get the full experience when going to St. Lucia. They suggested a split stay to get the best of both worlds and experience 2 parts of the island, which ended up making the best experience for us and was something I didn't even think about doing. They handled the booking of both resorts, as well as our transportation to and from the airport and to and from both resorts. We didn't have to worry about a single thing when we were on vacation. Everything went very smoothly, and we had an amazing time!! I would 100% use them again for future trips!

This review is long overdue! I can’t recommend Mitch and his agents enough. They planned a honeymoon of a lifetime in Thailand. At first we were skeptical because of how easy it was and didn’t get price breakdown down of each activity just a total cost. They tailored each day to what our interests were. The hotels they booked were 5 star luxury. Nancy was a pleasure to work with and had little surprises in each stop of our stay. We hope to use this company again for trips in our future. From start to finish Mitch and his team (especially Mark) were there to guide us along the way through choosing the perfect destination location for our wedding. They took care of lodging and transportation for our guests for our Cancun, Mexico wedding at Atelier. They will tell you they want nothing to do with your actual wedding and they keep their promise. We used TripGuy travel agents to coordinate all of the travel to our wedding in Mexico and could not recommend them enough. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend everyone to use Tripguy for your destination wedding. We just got married two weeks ago in Riveria Maya and it all turned out amazing thanks to them. Before using Tripguy, I was very stressed and did not know where to begin when it came to choosing a hotel, let alone a hotel that fit our needs and wedding vibes. Tripguy takes all the guessing work away, and Mitch is so knowledgeable in every resort possible. Mitch sat with us through zoom and asked us questions to get to know what we wanted in a resort and what we did not want. After our initial meeting he provided numerous hotels, he thought would fit our vibes, and from that very moment I knew we were working with the best. I honestly could not say one negative thing about Mitch and team, they go above and beyond to make your planning go as smoothly as possible. There will always be minor hiccups with the hotel side, but that’s where you are thankful that you have Mitch and his team, because they step in right away (literally within seconds) and you don’t have to stress about anything. Before working with Mitch, I could not even get hotels to reach out to me directly on starting my wedding planning. As soon as Mitch was involved, I was working with someone directly from the hotel within days. Mitch has already been recommended to my best friend who is getting married In Puerto Vallarta this upcoming January and they cannot thank me enough for telling them about Tripguy. I think peoples biggest concern about a travel company is that you will have to pay them fees, but you do not – we did not pay anything, but in all honesty, they are so good at what they do and made my planning go smoothly that I would pay any fee they charge. Do yourself a favor and use them, you will not regret it! Also, shout out to Ilse from Tripguy who took care of all my guests hotel booking, transportation to/from hotel, and answered all our questions/emails within hours. Nothing but 5 stars for Tripguy! Right from the beginning Mitch was super communicative and transparent while helping us pick a resort for our wedding. Our agent assigned to us, Christine, had an insanely quick response time whenever I had questions or if any of our guests had questions. To work with them for our wedding travel plans was a dream and we cannot speak highly enough of the agency. Will def use for future vacations. If you are a destination bride looking for an agency to work with, Tripguy is the way to go.

I used TripGuy to help me plan my destination wedding. I initially spoke on the phone with Mitch, who gave me a great deal of information that was very helpful in deciding our hotel and time frame. Mitch is extremely knowledgeable and has a lot of experience with many different destinations/hotels. He connected me with the hotel coordinators and helped me understand the process. We wanted an adult only wedding, but had one 16 year old (our niece, in the wedding party) who needed to be in attendance. We really did not want to switch to a family resort for only one person and really had our hearts set on an adult only resort. Mitch was able to talk with the wedding coordinator and get the hotel to make an exception which was AMAZING. I truly feel that we would not have gotten the same rates, treatment, and information without Mitch and TripGuy!!! Once we created a room block and signed a contract with the hotel, we were given another point of contact within TripGuy (not Mitch). This other employee, although very sweet, made numerous mistakes regarding our guests payments, reservations, and rooms. We were starting to get very uneasy with the issues we were having, however, Mitch eventually assigned us another representative (Mark Rinker). Once Mark took over, he was EXTREMELY diligent, quick to respond, informative, and helpful. We were very very happy to have him working with us. TripGuy had a very easy process for our guests to book their rooms, and were responsive by phone and email for us and our guests. They set up airport transfers (from airport to hotel and vise versa), which was extremely helpful and such a smooth process. Our guests simply shared their flight information with them via email and they set everything up. They were even able to give us quotes on excursions, day trips, and anything else we wanted to do while we were there. I would definitely recommend using TripGuy for any upcoming travel. They made the experience for me so much smoother and took a huge amount of pressure off of my already stressful planning process. Thank you Mitch & Mark!!!

I truly would not recommend TripGuy Travel to anyone planning a destination wedding. SO many things went wrong (and I’m not just saying this here, I made my disappointment clear to the owner and have sent a copy of this to him too). When we originally booked our wedding I was recommended to Mitch (the owner) at TripGuy Travel. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, so we booked a room block with him. As soon as we secured our block, he started directing us to this other agent as his company to book, which seemed a little weird as we thought everyone would be working with him. The woman people were directed to missed multiple emails, ultimately losing out on a couple rooms for friends that would have gone through our block (they ended up booking elsewhere). We also had a family friend try to cancel last minute due to a cancer diagnosis. As I tried to check-in on the status of her being able to get a refund, I felt that Mitch was a little dismissive/defensive, telling me that the resort takes days to respond and it was very possible they couldn’t do anything. I understand the cancellation policy for normal situations (it happened to another one our friends, and frankly I didn’t really feel bad because they chose to cancel after not getting insurance), and I even understand the possibility of not being able to get a refund for this woman. The response just rubbed me the wrong way and isn’t how I would have done business. When we got to the resort – the issues piled up. There were people who booked preferred rooms that were put in non-preferred (to which TripGuy blamed the resort and took no accountability). There were also bookings where people were told they’d have to switch rooms mid-week, along with transportation issues (people not being booked, people having to wait extended periods of time outside the airport in the Mexican heat, a transfer getting lost, etc.). The woman who worked for Mitch to coordinate our guests' travel was terminated the day of our rehearsal dinner – definitely not a coincidence in my eyes and I still felt the company took very little responsibility for all of the issues. Many of our guests expressed their disappointment with TripGuy to our face - I imagine even more were upset and didn't say anything to us. It put us in an uncomfortable position during a week that is already difficult enough to coordinate and should be spent enjoying paradise.

There’s absolutely zero chance that our wedding would’ve been as successful as it was without the Trip Guy team. They were integral in coordinating logistics for all of our guests coming from multiple cities and counties to our wedding in Cancun. We were able to focus our efforts entirely on planning the weekend as Mitch and his team fielded all questions RE travel, transport, and lodging. Zero need to work with anyone else, hire this team and don’t look back.

My daughter just got married in Cancun, November 10. It was perfect. I want to thank Mitch from trip guy and Susan Smith for making it perfect. Mitch from the get-go was right on it. We have nothing but great things to say about Mitch and the TripGuy team. My husband and I found Mitch through The Knot shortly after we got engaged and we were clueless. We knew we wanted a destination wedding but had no idea where to start. Mitch took time to get to know us as a couple and what was important to us and our special day. After we decided on a destination, the TripGuy team made for seamless travel arrangements for our guests, from booking to hotel transfers. The team was available to answer all of our guests questions and easily helped make last minute room changes and bookings. Our wedding truly would not have been as amazing as it was with out Mitch and team. We'll gladly be returning to Hotel Xcaret Mexico and using TripGuy in the future.

My husband and I booked our Hawaiian honeymoon with Melissa Patane through TripGuy and we were not disappointed! We originally inquired about Greece, but in the height of covid we decided to stay in the US. Melissa answered all of our questions and did not hesitate to change our itinerary when we decided to switch locations. Melissa planned a 10-day trip for us and we had no issues! She even checked in when we arrived in Hawaii to make sure everything was going smoothly. I will definitely book with her again in the future!

We’re forever grateful for Mitch and team (Valeria Rendon & Laura Marshall) at Trip Guy for helping us plan the wedding of our dreams. We celebrated our wedding at Atelier in Cancun, Mexico, and it was wonderful. Mitch helped us since the very beginning of the process, giving us many resort options for our destination wedding and helping us narrow the choices, ultimately landing at Atelier (where we got amazing group rates!). Mitch has tons of experience and became a trusted advisor during this entire process. Our wedding was originally planned for early 2020 and was postponed for two years due to COVID. Mitch and team helped us manage what could’ve otherwise been a very stressful process, managing all communications with the resort about our booking arrangements and ensuring we could still get the best rates possible. They arranged transportation to/from the airport, which made travel for us and our guests super easy. Our guests really enjoyed working with them too – Mitch and team stayed on top of things (for two years during which we had to deal with several postponements!), sent timely reminders and check-in e-mails, and were super responsive and pleasant to work with. They also helped us plan a super fun catamaran excursion for our group – one of the highlights of our wedding celebration! In short, I have nothing but amazing feedback for Mitch and his team. I highly recommend working with them, and we look forward to planning another vacation with Mitch soon!

I highly recommend using TripGuy Travel for all of your travel needs. I chose them based off of a friends recommendation to help plan my destination wedding in Mexico. Tripguy went right to work coming up with hotel options listing the pros and cons and giving accurate descriptions of the resorts. Mitch, our travel agent, and his team communicated well and put me in contact with an amazing resort in Cancun, Hyatt Ziva. They arranged for a room block and negotiated prices and perks. They also arranged for travel and everything was seamless. They successfully and with ease made my 50 person destination wedding way less stressful by providing excellent services. This is a MUST if you are planning a destination wedding. TripGuy handled all of the logistics of my team and everyone was extremely happy with their services. They also go above and beyond in communicating with guests whether via a Facebook group or email about the trip, travel, payments, etc. The best part - this excellent service is free!

We used TripGuy for our Cabo wedding of 70 guests (coming in from all over the country). We didn't know anything about travel agents and first talked to one that wanted $25 per guest, which we almost paid! But then we found Trip Guy who does NOT charge any additional fees for their work - yes, they were literally free for me to use. I kept waiting for "the catch," but there isn't one! It is truly just great service every step of the way. Mitch and his team were extremely responsive the entire time, and offered expert advice and tips such as starting a Facebook group to organize my guests (something I never would have thought of myself). I added Mitch to the FB group and guests were able to get their questions answered directly there. They also created our own unique email address that guests could contact directly regarding our wedding. Of course, having someone organize the room block, guests reservations, flights and shuttles for everyone was essential and a huge load off of our shoulders. They also handled all follow-up so I didn't have to hound guests to make their reservations on time. They negotiated a great price for our rooms (hundreds less than what they were going for at one point), but guaranteed us the lowest rate available should a lower price pop up. This low price also included the shuttle reservation and all taxes/fees - and we ever found a lower one after it was set! Lastly - our favorite part was all of the "perks" Mitch and his team were able to work out. When we arrived in Cabo we were surprised by a private luxury SUV to shuttle us to the resort. And, even though the resort was 100% booked up, they were able to get us a room upgrade to a Preferred Club, one-bedroom suite with an ocean view. There was also a fishing trip excursion that Mitch and his team were able to set us up with that was a FRACTION of the cost of the company that the resort recommended. Our guests who did the trip ended up saving hundreds of dollars and having a great time. If you are on the fence or researching agents - choose Trip Guy! I am a control freak bride and Mitch's responsiveness and attention to detail kept me feeling good and anxiety-free for the entire year we worked with them on our big day.

Quick to respond to emails, incredibly easy to work and communicate with. I didn’t pay them a penny, and got refunded our entire 9 night stay for having our wedding group book through them. They were able to handle our large wedding party flawlessly & I feel so lucky we found them since we couldn't travel to Mexico during our early planning stages due to COVID. They were amazing from the start and gave us the details on the pros & cons of each hotel and helped us negotiate the best price for all our guests (50+ guests). They also got us a great deal for a free, private group dinner at the resort. They also coordinated an airport transfer to and from the airport for every single guest. Planning a destination wedding is not easy. I had reached out to Mitch Toren at TripGuy after reading an amazing review and immediately knew I needed to work with him and the team. Working with Mitch and Christine was the best, and easiest, decision I made throughout wedding planning. I didn’t realize initially how important it is to have a team of WELL traveled people who know the resorts in and out AND know the contacts within the wedding department. I am hoping I can help future brides realize the importance of this and ensure you get a team who will bend over backwards for you- like everyone at TripGuy did for me. During our initial call with Mitch, we told him how we were stuck between two resorts for the wedding. After telling him what we envisioned and what was important to us for our big day, he gave us his recommendation and was even able to break down the entire wedding catalog for us. Each resort offers different kickbacks, and honestly it could get very confusing/overwhelming so having Mitch there to answer any and all questions was a huge relief. To brag a little, once the resort found out our travel agent was Mitch (recognized his name immediately), we felt like we were treated like royalty. We were able to lock in amazing COVID room rates for our guests and the team promised to price match, however it was never necessary as the initial rates were such a steal. Having the team there to assist in all guest communication helped alleviate so much stress. They created a flyer with the breakdown of room rates and they handled all the reminders for deposits, final payments, and even sent a Know Before You Go guide (plus so much more). We never went over 24 hours without an email response (honestly probably no more than 2 hours without a reply from Mitch)! All in all, I could easily go on forever about how amazing of a team TripGuy has and why everyone should work with them. We will definitely ALWAYS be booking through them in the future and can’t wait for the next TripGuy vacation :) !!!!

Highly, highly recommend Mitch and his team as a no-nonsense, professional and responsive team to help you put together your dream wedding. Planning a wedding has not ever been high on my list of things to do and I had about no idea where to start. I found TripGuy via The Knot, and Mitch responded to my inquiry almost immediately. From there, he helped us pick a resort, determine room block size, secure a date, and put together all the information for our guests. A couple of months later there was a hiccup with the property and our room block - but Mitch was on top of it. There was very little drama, we (Mitch) worked out a solution quickly and there was not ever a question from either side on what had been agreed to from then on. Then, COVID hit. Mitch offered his support, but never once pressured us on what we were going to do or how it was going to affect our guest count. He was maybe the only person involved who did not add stress to the situation. The guest list was constantly changing and everyone had questions - none of that reached my already full plate thanks to Mitch and his team. And while our party was much smaller than planned, we had the absolute best time together. From transfers to the airport, to the big day - all went well, even though we were married in the middle of a tropical storm. The 2020 nightmare didn't end there - two days into our honeymoon, we turned on the TV to see a hurricane headed for Cancun. I reached out to Mitch again, discussing the forecast and our best options. In the end, we decided not to chance it and booked a flight out the next day. This all happened from 5pm to 10pm - Mitch made sure we had a transfer to the airport the next morning which arrived on time to the minute. Despite a global pandemic and two late season storms messing with our plans, I'd still do it over again. Married to the love of my life and we got to celebrate with our closest family and friends. Please read our story below of why Mitch and Christine (who was our main contact for our group) are so impeccable. My husband and I started planning our destination wedding (pre- COVID-19) and quickly realized that we could not do this on our own. I started my search for a travel agent and found Mitch on Theknot. After reading all of the 5 star reviews, I contacted him for a consultation. He responded within minutes, despite him being out of the country. We scheduled a call and we were blown away by his expertise and how thorough he was in explaining every detail of the process and what his team would be doing for us. Mitch and Christine immediately started working with our resort to secure our discounted group rate and room block. They made us a detailed flyer to send to our wedding group with instructions on how to book their rooms/travel arrangements through them and promptly responded to all of our guests (65 to be exact) inquiries as they started flooding in. They communicated with our guests with such politeness and understanding. All of our guests couldn’t tell us enough about how much they appreciated Mitch and Christine. Fast forward 6 months to early March 2020, as COVID-19 begins to spread rapidly, my husband and I start the difficult discussion of postponing. By this time, Mitch and Christine had made airport transportation arrangements for all of our guests and sent everyone’s day-of travel documentation nicely packaged via mail. Three days before we were set to leave for Mexico, the country began shutting down and we made the decision to postpone. Unfortunately, this forced Mitch and Christine to basically start from scratch and do everything I just mentioned all over again for 65 guests. They had to go back and check if our new date was available, if the amount of rooms we needed were available, check on rates, re book all of our guest’s rooms, had to reply to a million questions/concerns from us and all of our guests, confirm and document new flight schedules, make new transportation arrangements, and so much more that we probably didn’t hear about behind the scenes. The list could go on and on. Even through all of the chaos, they handled everything with ease, outstanding professionalism, and patience. Our postponed date worked out and we got to have the wedding of our dreams. They truly cared about us and making sure we had the wedding we envisioned. We brought 62 people to Secrets Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic for our wedding and trip guy was wonderful every step of the way! They arranged all of our transportation as well as room stay and everything went very smoothly. They even were able to upgrade our room significantly and it was the most amazing trip we could have ever asked for! I would absolutely use them again. We had a wonderful experience working with Mitch, Andy, and Florence for our fall honeymoon in Germany & France. They were incredibly responsive, months out and during our time abroad, which was amazing.
