We hosted 150 people in Mexico for our wedding weekend and we could not have done it without The Trip Guy. From day 1, Mitch helped us find the right hotel for our guests and wedding festivities. Mark was amazing in booking and coordinating guest stays and airport transportation. All of our guests raved about Mark's communication and responsiveness. Thank you, Trip Guy! You made our wedding weekend so special!

We are using TripGuy for our Honeymoon. I will say they are very responsive and there are multiple people that will handle your trip to ensure needs are met. But my complaint is that for a honeymoon you have the expectation to receive some perks (room upgrades, etc). If these things are important to you, I would suggest you look elsewhere and to an agency that notes they have connections. We’re staying at multiple places for our honeymoon and I had to individually call each place we’re staying to get the upgrades I wanted (4 out of 5 of them for free because it is our honeymoon). When hiring a travel agent this is normally something they would take care of to ensure a happy honeymoon, but I just felt like that wasn’t something that mattered to them. I requested it, but they never made any moves on it, so I took care of it myself. I was disappointed that they didn’t seem to care about helping ensure our honeymoon was everything my husband and I wanted, whether that is making suggestions for an itinerary or seeking upgrades/perks.

I used this agency for my honeymoon and Melissa Patane was highly recommended. I read multiple times she was free but I was charged $150 before we even discussed my trip. She sent me resort names and I had to do all the research on them myself. No links, a couple words per email, as if this isn’t her job and she couldn’t be bothered. She book my trips for me and I’m paying more money to book through her then I would if I booked on my own. They never send a price breakdown so who knows what they’re pocketing. Now that my trip is booked I respectfully ask, “what are the benefits of me booking through a travel agent?” Since I 1. Did the research myself 2. Paid more for my rooms then I would have if I booked myself. She responded with telling me I’ll have the peace of mind of having their agency take care of any concerns before, during, or after my stay. I didn’t have any concerns before my vacation but I certainly did during and I wasn’t met with any help. A couple hours into being at this resort and I reached out to Melissa to tell her my concerns and how we did not like this place and wanted to LEAVE. I sent several desperate emails and she responded with 1. she’s out of office, call the emergency line (their emergency phone number did not work and they never addressed this with me) 2. She’s out to a family dinner (then have someone ELSE help me). The only help I was eventually offered was for her to book a new place I told her I was going to book anyway, on my behalf, and pay $200 more by using her to book it - even though they knew I’m losing money on this reservation I’m leaving. I booked it myself for $200 less than she quoted me. That’s the only help I was offered - and she let me know she didn’t like that I booked on my own because “now she couldn’t help me” if any problems arose at the new resort. As I’m actively at a resort I’m having problems with.. and receiving no help.. After leaving the resort and doing research on it I saw I also didn’t receive this nice big free romantic honeymoon package that comes with this resort, why not? They didn’t respond to that question of mine either. I had to continue to speak with this company to try to get some money back for the 4 nights I paid for but didn’t use at this resort. Interacting with Melissa is so unpleasant and aggravating and when Mitch the owner stepped in, he justified all they’ve done and says he’s happy with their services. They claim they’ve been fighting with the resort for my money back even though I’ve seen no proof of it and wouldn’t give me any names of who they’re speaking with. Their response time after my trip was over was 1 week+ per email. It’s been well over 2 weeks since their last reply. They did not get me my refund (shocker) so I disputed it with the bank. Working with this travel agency was a nightmare. I regret it and I wouldn’t recommend them, I couldn’t be more unhappy and it caused so much stress on my one and only honeymoon. I’m giving you 1 star because I truly do not see any benefit of using your company, for anyone, especially myself after using you. I learned my lesson.

Mitch and his team at Trip Guy were absolutely fantastic! Planning a destination wedding with a guest list starting at around 100 people felt overwhelming—I had no idea where to begin. After extensive research and reading countless reviews, my husband and I chose Mitch. From our very first video call, we knew he was the right choice. Coming from the East Coast, Mitch sugarcoats nothing—which, as a bride who tends to, I truly needed! He told it like it was, which helped us make informed decisions without any surprises. He reviewed multiple resorts with us, leveraging his strong relationships with resorts across the globe. Ultimately, we chose Negril, Jamaica, captivated by its breathtaking sunsets and vibrant reggae culture—my husband’s second love! The warm, welcoming spirit of Jamaica, embodied by the saying “Don’t worry about a thing, because every little thing is gonna be alright,” was the same vibe we got from Mitch and his team. Communication & Planning Our planning with Trip Guy started over a year in advance, and their team was incredibly easy to work with. They patiently handled all of my updates for our wedding website and quickly responded anytime a guest needed assistance. While only a couple of guests mentioned delayed responses, a quick email from me to Mitch’s team always got them an immediate reply. We understood that we weren’t their only couple, and the fact that we had planned so far ahead meant there were no real urgencies. Wedding Week & Travel Experience When the wedding week arrived, Trip Guy ensured everything went smoothly. They arranged a welcome photo at the airport and coordinated with Reggae Tours to transport our guests to the resort. Despite Jamaica’s unique driving culture and the 1.5-hour journey from the airport, every guest arrived safely and comfortably. The ride was more than just transportation—it was a chance for our guests to see the “real” Jamaica, which made it even more special. Mitch wasn’t exaggerating when he said he had connections with the resort! On our final day, my husband and I weren’t ready to leave, but the resort couldn’t offer a discount despite us bringing 75 guests. Mitch, however, pulled some strings and secured us an extra night at what was likely a 50% discount! That was an incredible surprise and made our experience even better. A week before the wedding, Trip Guy sent out a detailed, organized email, ensuring all guests knew their private shuttle pickup times and providing resort details and emergency contact numbers. Everything was seamless. Support & Problem-Solving One year before our wedding, we visited the resort to get a feel for the venue, but unfortunately, the wedding planner wasn’t present, and we didn’t receive a proper tour. I was disappointed, but Mitch was on the phone immediately. The resort respected him immensely—they apologized right away and reassured us that our wedding day would be a completely different experience from what we had just encountered as regular guests. They delivered on that promise. Final Thoughts I am so glad Mitch and his team were on our side. They are a team worth having. Scheduling phone or video appointments with Mitch was always easy whenever we had questions or concerns. Mitch, Christopher, and the rest of the Trip Guy crew, from the bottom of our hearts—THANK YOU! You helped make our wedding unforgettable, and we are beyond grateful for everything you did!

We love the TripGuy team! Trust them with your destination wedding you won't regret it. I am forever grateful for all they did from start to finish for ours. From the jump, Mitch was honest and candid with us about his services and what to expect booking with him / the resort we selected. He then introduced us to Mark and between the two of them they were in lock-step with us planning our dream wedding. They made booking the hotel/transportation SEAMLESS for our guests from time of booking, to communication every step of the way, to ensuring everyone was prepared with what to expect upon arrival, to checking in during the wedding weekend, etc. They took all the heavy lifting off everyone's plates and our guests were so happy to have their support. In terms of wedding planning, these guys treated us with so much care and were in constant communication and willing to jump in and help wherever they could during the easy times and the tricky times and everything in between that comes with planning a wedding. The TripGuy team made our destination wedding travel process absolutely seamless from resort selection, to guest bookings, all the way through arrival. Everything was easy, organized, and worry free. The team offered amazing and communicative customer service to all of our guests and really removed the stress for us. I would use them again and again for future trips!

The best travel agency for destination weddings. My partner and I spoke with several agencies, but Mitch and his team were by far the most knowledgeable, responsive, and proactive. They were always looking out for us throughout the process. Big shoutout to Laura as well for her impeccable coordination!

We used TripGuy to plan our destination wedding, and it was the best decision we could've made. We knew we wanted an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean, but were not familiar with our options. Turns out there are one million. Mitch took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and provided some options he thought we would like along with very detailed information about the actual experience at the resort (since sorting through reviews can also be hit or miss). His guidance let us to the perfect resort. After that was decided, he turned over managing the room block to Mark. Mark is an absolute pro at managing room reservations for a large group. He took off all the stress of getting our guests booked on time from us. He coordinated flight times and arranged airport transfers. He was incredibly responsive both to us and our guests. He's an absolute pro, and definitely improved the guest experience. Final thoughts - don't be turned off by the upfront fee. The work that Mitch puts in to help you find the perfect spot for your wedding is worth it 100x over. We spoke to a few different agencies before selecting TripGuy, and you could tell from the first phone call that he provides an unprecedented level of service. I would recommend TripGuy with no hesitation to anyone looking to plan a destination wedding.

The trip guy folks were great. We used Mitch and his team for our wedding in Tulum and they did a wonderful job. They assisted all our guests in booking their trips, as well as arranging all their transfers. We had no complaints from everyone, and the whole team at the trip guy was very responsive! Would recommend again!

Mitch and his team have an extraordinary amount of knowledge resorts in Mexico. He provided us extensive information about each resort and was able to breakdown reviews regarding quality, luxury, service and entertainment to help us choose what hotel was best for our group. We utilized TripGuy Travel for our destination wedding through a recommendation from our wedding planner who resides in Mexico. They made the process very easy for us and our guests, once we made a decision on where to stay. Mitch fielded multiple calls with us and gave his objective takes on each of the resorts as he has had clients stay nearly everywhere. He was able to connect us with private transfer company (Lomas) and well as taking care of processing all our guests’ accommodations months before the wedding. There was some back and forth for scheduling the transfers, however, that is to be expected when handling ~60 guests. They absolutely know what they are doing and would highly recommend to other travelers or couples planning a destination wedding!

My husband and I recently worked with Mitch as well as Christine from Trip Guy on our destination wedding April 2024 in Punta Cana, DR. For starters, if I could give them 6/5 stars I certainly would! We started this journey back in 2022 when a friend of mine recommended Trip Guy as she also worked with them for her destination wedding. We had several extensive calls with Mitch talking about what we envisioned for our destination wedding. Mitch has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is unmatched! He made it easy for us to be confident in our resort choice. Christine worked with us as well as all of our guests in booking their stay, flights, transfers and assisting with any questions or concerns that arose. She is incredibly patient, responsive and professional! Our wedding and the resort Mitch helped us choose was an absolute dream and every detail was organized and exactly how we envisioned it. Using Trip Guy made this whole process so smooth and stress free for us. We were able to just enjoy the moments and soak up all the love from our friends and family❤️ Using Trip Guy for our destination wedding was one of the best decisions we made. We will certainly be clients for life!

Definitely recommend working with TripGuy for planning trips and especially if you're planning a destination wedding! We worked with Mitch and Mark and they were both super helpful with assisting in choosing a location and coordinating the details for our trip. Our honeymoon at Galley Bay Resort, Antigua was absolutely PERFECT!! The food/drinks/beach/room/people were all incredible! Working with Laura was an absolute joy, she made everything so easy from all the email responses, to the spa bookings, and airport transfers she made everything go so smoothly for us!! TripGuy Travel did an amazing job setting up and planning our stay in St. Lucia for our honeymoon, specifically Mitch Toren, who was the agent that we worked with! They were very knowledgable about the best way to get the full experience when going to St. Lucia. They suggested a split stay to get the best of both worlds and experience 2 parts of the island, which ended up making the best experience for us and was something I didn't even think about doing. They handled the booking of both resorts, as well as our transportation to and from the airport and to and from both resorts. We didn't have to worry about a single thing when we were on vacation. Everything went very smoothly, and we had an amazing time!! I would 100% use them again for future trips!

They took care of booking our flights as well as private roundtrip transfers from the airport to the resort which made the travel process so much easier! My husband and I HIGHLY recommend everyone to use Tripguy for your destination wedding. We just got married two weeks ago in Riveria Maya and it all turned out amazing thanks to them. Before using Tripguy, I was very stressed and did not know where to begin when it came to choosing a hotel, let alone a hotel that fit our needs and wedding vibes. Tripguy takes all the guessing work away, and Mitch is so knowledgeable in every resort possible. Mitch sat with us through zoom and asked us questions to get to know what we wanted in a resort and what we did not want. After our initial meeting he provided numerous hotels, he thought would fit our vibes, and from that very moment I knew we were working with the best. I honestly could not say one negative thing about Mitch and team, they go above and beyond to make your planning go as smoothly as possible. There will always be minor hiccups with the hotel side, but that’s where you are thankful that you have Mitch and his team, because they step in right away (literally within seconds) and you don’t have to stress about anything. Before working with Mitch, I could not even get hotels to reach out to me directly on starting my wedding planning. As soon as Mitch was involved, I was working with someone directly from the hotel within days. Mitch has already been recommended to my best friend who is getting married In Puerto Vallarta this upcoming January and they cannot thank me enough for telling them about Tripguy. I think peoples biggest concern about a travel company is that you will have to pay them fees, but you do not – we did not pay anything, but in all honesty, they are so good at what they do and made my planning go smoothly that I would pay any fee they charge. Do yourself a favor and use them, you will not regret it! Also, shout out to Ilse from Tripguy who took care of all my guests hotel booking, transportation to/from hotel, and answered all our questions/emails within hours. I truly would not recommend TripGuy Travel to anyone planning a destination wedding. SO many things went wrong (and I’m not just saying this here, I made my disappointment clear to the owner and have sent a copy of this to him too). When we originally booked our wedding I was recommended to Mitch (the owner) at TripGuy Travel. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, so we booked a room block with him. As soon as we secured our block, he started directing us to this other agent as his company to book, which seemed a little weird as we thought everyone would be working with him. The woman people were directed to missed multiple emails, ultimately losing out on a couple rooms for friends that would have gone through our block (they ended up booking elsewhere). We also had a family friend try to cancel last minute due to a cancer diagnosis. As I tried to check-in on the status of her being able to get a refund, I felt that Mitch was a little dismissive/defensive, telling me that the resort takes days to respond and it was very possible they couldn’t do anything. I understand the cancellation policy for normal situations (it happened to another one our friends, and frankly I didn’t really feel bad because they chose to cancel after not getting insurance), and I even understand the possibility of not being able to get a refund for this woman. The response just rubbed me the wrong way and isn’t how I would have done business. When we got to the resort – the issues piled up. There were people who booked preferred rooms that were put in non-preferred (to which TripGuy blamed the resort and took no accountability). There were also bookings where people were told they’d have to switch rooms mid-week, along with transportation issues (people not being booked, people having to wait extended periods of time outside the airport in the Mexican heat, a transfer getting lost, etc.). The woman who worked for Mitch to coordinate our guests' travel was terminated the day of our rehearsal dinner – definitely not a coincidence in my eyes and I still felt the company took very little responsibility for all of the issues. Many of our guests expressed their disappointment with TripGuy to our face - I imagine even more were upset and didn't say anything to us. It put us in an uncomfortable position during a week that is already difficult enough to coordinate and should be spent enjoying paradise.

There’s absolutely zero chance that our wedding would’ve been as successful as it was without the Trip Guy team. They were integral in coordinating logistics for all of our guests coming from multiple cities and counties to our wedding in Cancun. We were able to focus our efforts entirely on planning the weekend as Mitch and his team fielded all questions RE travel, transport, and lodging. Zero need to work with anyone else, hire this team and don’t look back.

We used Trip Guy to plan and book our honeymoon to Costa Rica and we are so satisfied. They had incredible recommendations for location and specific hotels. We also got a lot of fun extras at the hotels because it was our honeymoon. They worked with our budget and our timeline! Before going on our honeymoon, we had everything planned with them including flights, transfers, hotels and excursions so we had a very stress free honeymoon! We highly recommend using TripGuy!

They were very helpful from beginning to end! Any and all questions were answered in a timely manner and they even checked in on us to make sure we made it to our trip with no issues and back home. Also, if we needed them during the trip they were very responsive and made sure we got our answer. Truly helpful people and we will be using them again to book future vacations. Having a travel agent honestly takes the headache out of planning for long trips!

My daughter just got married in Cancun, November 10. It was perfect. I want to thank Mitch from trip guy and Susan Smith for making it perfect. Mitch from the get-go was right on it. He is direct extremely helpful and prompt. You reach out to him he gets back to you. He makes every effort to make sure everything is what you expect it to be. There were a few times I felt totally lost in planning a destination wedding, but Mitch always stepped up and gave me direction or totally took care of it. I loved his honesty! I will continue to use him for future travel and hopefully my son's destination wedding. Believe me you won't be disappointed. Susan Smith assists us with booking the 80 guest and organizing the room assignments. As you know getting people to book can be tiring and she never complained or lost her patience with the group. She managed to keep some of our rooms together at the resort and managed all our transportation without a hitch. I thank them both for helping make my daughter's and son in law's wedding magical! LP

Working with Mitch and his team was amazing. We worked with Christine for a lot of the booking details and she was so sweet, and professional and helped answer so many questions for our group. They made our destination wedding to Punta Cana so stress-free and smooth. I can’t recommend them enough - absolutely amazing to work with!

We have nothing but great things to say about Mitch and the TripGuy team. My husband and I found Mitch through The Knot shortly after we got engaged and we were clueless. We knew we wanted a destination wedding but had no idea where to start. Mitch took time to get to know us as a couple and what was important to us and our special day. Mitch never pressured us to make a decision and let us ask a ton of questions. Deciding on a destination wedding in a location that we'd never been too is incredibly difficult, but Mitch provided us with ample information and made us feel confident in choosing Hotel Xcaret Mexico. After we decided on a destination, the TripGuy team made for seamless travel arrangements for our guests, from booking to hotel transfers. The team was available to answer all of our guests questions and easily helped make last minute room changes and bookings. Our wedding truly would not have been as amazing as it was with out Mitch and team. We'll gladly be returning to Hotel Xcaret Mexico and using TripGuy in the future.

My husband and I booked our Hawaiian honeymoon with Melissa Patane through TripGuy and we were not disappointed! We originally inquired about Greece, but in the height of covid we decided to stay in the US. Melissa answered all of our questions and did not hesitate to change our itinerary when we decided to switch locations. Melissa planned a 10-day trip for us and we had no issues! She even checked in when we arrived in Hawaii to make sure everything was going smoothly. I will definitely book with her again in the future!

We celebrated our wedding at Atelier in Cancun, Mexico, and it was wonderful. Mitch helped us since the very beginning of the process, giving us many resort options for our destination wedding and helping us narrow the choices, ultimately landing at Atelier (where we got amazing group rates!). Mitch has tons of experience and became a trusted advisor during this entire process. Our wedding was originally planned for early 2020 and was postponed for two years due to COVID. Mitch and team helped us manage what could’ve otherwise been a very stressful process, managing all communications with the resort about our booking arrangements and ensuring we could still get the best rates possible. They arranged transportation to/from the airport, which made travel for us and our guests super easy. Our guests really enjoyed working with them too – Mitch and team stayed on top of things (for two years during which we had to deal with several postponements!), sent timely reminders and check-in e-mails, and were super responsive and pleasant to work with. They also helped us plan a super fun catamaran excursion for our group – one of the highlights of our wedding celebration! In short, I have nothing but amazing feedback for Mitch and his team. I highly recommend working with them, and we look forward to planning another vacation with Mitch soon!
