Reverend Richards was everything we could have hoped for in an officiant and more. He video chatted with us to learn who we are and what we wanted and to impart some knowledge on our soon to be marriage. He is very professional and prompt in his responses. He customizes your experience and has a list of eloquent scripts to choose from. We added a wine box ceremony to our service as he recommended and it was a special touch. He made beautiful vow scripts that we read from as well and serve as keep sakes now. Highly recommend.

We first scheduled a Zoom call and he took the time to learn about our relationship and presented several ceremony options. Going with Tristate Weddings was one of the best decisions we could have made! Our officiant was Reverend Jeffery Talavera who did an amazing job. We spoke to Jeffery a couple of times before the actual wedding and he was always so nice. We clicked immediately and honestly felt like he was a part of the family. Reverend Richard made our little ceremony feel so special. He was very nice and made us feel comfortable. He even made us a decorative certificate and took our papers to the courthouse for us. When we started our officiant search it was important to us to have someone who we felt could represent our backgrounds and would provide us with a customized wedding ceremony. During our initial meeting Jeff took the time to learn about us as individuals and our relationship as a couple. Asking various questions from our beginning to now. Jeff was easy to communicate with from the time we booked until we received our marriage certificate back in the mail. Though we ended up doing our wedding in English Jeff was open to doing the ceremony either in part or entirely in Spanish if we wished. We also love the personal touch keepsakes that Tristate provides for memories of our special day. Jeff will always be a special part of our wedding day and we’re so grateful!

If you found Richard Rodriguez as an officiant for your wedding, but you live across the country, fly him out to you. He's amazing. Long story short, my initial officiant was unable to make the wedding. I was personally very sad about that because we were close and I was looking forward to her being there. So finding someone to fill those shoes? Tough. We met with Richard Rodriguez and another officiant one night. The meeting with Richard lasted about two hours, but for good measure. He had so many questions. He is genuinely interested in the couple he weds, and it shows. I went into it thinking, "Sure whatever, anyone will do now", but I came out of the meeting thinking, "Wow, he's perfect, I can't wait for his part of the wedding!" BEST PART IS, the audience of the wedding kept coming up to us asking about him. Everyone loved his speech. Richard does an excellent job setting up your speech. He asks you to be involved from the beginning, so my wife and I essentially created the structure of the speech from some documents he sent us. He's beyond professional, very courteous, very invested in the couple, and overall just an asset of a person to meet in your life.

On 9/25/21, Rev Walter performed a beautiful and moving wedding ceremony for us. Thank you for being a part of our special day.

My husband an I got married on 10/15/2021, and Richard was sooooo amazing, available, attentive, responsive, professional, and kind, to say the least, throughout our entire planning process and especially on our wedding day. Reverend Rich made planning our ceremony so easy. He really took so much stress out of such an important aspect of our wedding, especially since we had booked out wedding date quickly post-covid. Reverend Richard was absolutely great! We had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic and he was more than accommodating and flexible. The ceremony was perfect and went exactly as we had imagined.

Rev Rich did an amazing job officiating our wedding! We reached out to him less than two months before our big day due to having to plan and re-plan a wedding during COVID. We were so happy he was available even though our original referral for an officiant was not. He was very easy to work with, great personality, and was very flexible in how we wanted our ceremony to be! My husband and I were both raised Catholic and while we wanted to include some religious references in our ceremony, it wasn't very religious in nature and Rev. He was unavailable for that day but recommended another Tri-State weddings minister, Deirdra. After meeting her on a video call, we were very excited to have her perform our ceremony as she was an extremely personable, warm, and positive presence. Reverend Richard was amazing. He was always there with answering questions, especially when Covid hit. We did zoom calls and he always explained everything to do with the ceremony, customizing the ceremony how we wanted it to go and even spoke parts in Italian. We found Richard after our original wedding plans fell through due to Covid. We got married through Project Cupid, which was a little overwhelming and confusing, but Richard was very professional and pleasant as he guided us through all the steps. We got married over Zoom and the paperwork was made easy and straightforward. We were married by Richard on October 3, 2020 and were absolutely thrilled at the beautiful of the ceremony. We come from a multicultural family (Jewish, Christian, Black, White) and he combined all aspects of the ceremony with ease. We married under a chuppah, jumped the broom, wrote our own vows and it all felt seamless and perfect with Richard's expert delivery. Many of our guests commented on the beauty of the service (including my husband and I!). Richard's warm demeanor was a huge part of this. Leading up to the ceremony, he was flexible to covid-related schedule changes, accessible by phone/text and willing to work with us to craft the ceremony of our dreams. Reverend Rodriguez was recommended to us by one of his business associates, and we couldn't be more grateful for him! My husband and I had been through a lot with trying to figure out a wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he made the process easier and much less stressful! We found him to be kind, reassuring, and professional. His service over Zoom was exactly what we had asked for (i.e., nothing religious, very simple). I don't want to spoil the experience for other couples, but he gave us a wonderful surprise the next day when it was all finished.
