I have this trolley service booked tonight for a birthday party. On the website it lists that the 18 passenger trolley comes with surround sound, a TV and strobe lights. So I called to ask about the surround sound to see how you would play your music on it. The guy who answered was extremely rude. I asked if we would receive surround sound and he said "you only paid $600 you don't get that unless you want to spend $2000" so then I said ok I'm just going off what your website states. So I then ask if there is atleast a radio and he said ya so I asked how you play the music through it and he answered me like I was stupid. All I needed to know was if they provide you with an aux cord, if you need a CD or how it worked. He then proceeded to say "all you get is a trolley and a driver, have you never been on a trolley before or what?" At this point I was fed up and told the guy so I said thank you and hung up. If you are going to have a phone number to reach someone to ask questions have someone that is actually friendly and willing to answer one simple question answering the phones. I have never recieved a more arrogant response from anyone in customer service which is why I went out of my way to leave a review for this company. I have yet to see how decent the actually service provided is but so far I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on such ignorant people.

Used American Trolley for our wedding last summer. No issues on the day-of the wedding, other than the lack of A/C on the trolley (we knew when we booked, but bad luck that it was 95 degrees that day). Some difficulty with communication/customer service when booking. But they were the cheapest option, so we couldn't be too upset, when everything worked great the day of the event.

This is the worst company to work with for weddings. It is a huge scam. First off I think they closed down their first business name AmericanTrolley and switched to Trolley Rates even though they direct you to go to americantrolley.com the webpage reads trolleyrates.com. I reserved a wedding trolley and paid more money because it was a wedding even though in the end it was the same service as a bar crawl trolley. When the trolley got to us nothing that was advertised was available. No decorations, no champagne, no sign, no water and a dirty, sticky floor trolley. Then the driver was awful and couldn't go into the church parking lot. When we got back on the trolley after the ceremony ready to party, we had to make an additional stop since we hadn't brought water because they told us they would supply it for us. The driver then gave us used cups that he had washed with some sort of cleaner that stained my bridesmaid's dress before our pictures! They said it wasn't an extra charge to pick up right outside Chicago and in the end they did charge us, I had two different contracts. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. It is totally worth paying the extra $200 to get everything they advertise.

Rude. Stay away. The first time I called them to ask some questions about the Trolley options and pricing and the guy who answered, Brian, was extremely rude. We got disconnected when I asked about the deposit. So I emailed them using the email on there website. I asked a bunch of questions and the response was "Please call us 312.771.7273 " So I called again. Brian answered again and was again very blah and acted like he was in no mood to book any trolleys. He was even convincing me to do a limo instead from somewhere else. He was not helpful at all. He also HUNG UP ON ME. I told him the ceremony would be in Chicago and reception in Des Plaines. He was like oh well then the price goes up $240 from the original price. Did not explain why until I said that makes no sense a few times. I then asked if they charge for stops or if the 4 hours was just from point A to point B. We are planning on stopping in Rosemont to do pictures. He was like "This is why we need your itinerary, do you have any other secrets in your itinerary you haven't told me?" I was like "you're not very polite." He said " I am just trying to figure out the itinerary to give you an accurate price" in a rude and annoyed tone. I said well what the heck else are we going to do in a Trolley for 4 hours? THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME. They are NOT cheaper then other Trolley places that say "reasonable" or affordable" and their customer service is crap! He also said "If you are spending $40-$50k on a wedding then trying to save 50 bucks isn't worth it" I am like who said I was spending that crazy amount? More like less than half of that! And it is none of your business where and how I want to save money. Anyway he sucked.

The best thing about booking a trolley bus with American trolley is that one gets to meet extremely wonderful drivers. I have been using American trolley now for quite a while and I must say they have a bunch of extremely professional and humble drivers. The last event I booked the trolley bus for was superb! It was the wedding of my adorable little sister and thanks to American trolley we not only reached the church on time our journey was comfortable and enjoyable as well.
