Trout Lake was a phenomenal venue for our wedding. The planning process was very smooth and the coordinators for the wedding day were always three steps ahead of any obstacle or bad weather. The staff was a well-oiled machine and was extremely communicative the whole way through.
Their coordination with our vendors was seamless and the guest experience was terrific. So many people at our wedding kept asking us "How did you find this place?" and were showering the venue and staff with praise. The food was also incredible, especially the specialty cupcakes.
All in all, we highly recommend Trout Lake to anyone looking for a wedding venue where you get way more bang for your buck compared to other venues. Our wedding went better than either of us could have expected and it's thanks to Trout Lake for making our special day so memorable.

We truly cannot recommend Trout Lake and their incredible staff enough. They played such a huge role in making our wedding day perfect, and we are so grateful for their professionalism, warmth, and dedication.

Our goal is to ensure everyone receives outstanding service in a warm friendly environment. Through thoughtful and purposeful upgrades each season, we honor the history of this beautiful lakeside property while providing our guests with the modern amenities they come to expect.

Our coordinator Josie was amazing and made sure everything went smoothly during the entire process. Even my wedding party said they have never been in a wedding or at a venue more organized before. The food at the venue was great as well and our guests still talk about it to this day.

the love and care from the staff throughout the process was incredibly impactful. The staff were oozing with professionalism, the venue is physically breathtaking, and guests are STILL talking about the food (3 weeks later)! Although the team was incredible, Joise and Anna were truly rockstars, and I could not thank them enough for all they've done to help make our wedding the most spectacular and STRESS-FREE day of my life. I paid to have set up and pack down and they did not disappoint. The staff took care of everything I provided and made my wedding look beautiful. The servers and bar staff were so friendly and my guests raved about them. The venue itself is breathtaking and my photos turned out awesome. Anna was with me the whole day and did everything from hold my dress up to feed me hors d’oeuvres and remind me how beautiful I looked! Trout lake goes above and beyond to get to know you and your family to ensure they make your day special. In addition to all of this, the food was outstanding. Josie, our main point of contact, guided us through every step of planning with patience, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail. On the rehearsal day and the wedding day itself, Anna was there to ensure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes, handling all the details with calm efficiency so we could fully enjoy the moment.

us was the staff. Through the planning process Josie was organized and accommodating as we wanted to make changes.
The day of the wedding, we were well taken care of. Anna and her team made sure we were fed during cocktail hour. They were organized and got us back on track as we stated to fall behind on time. All of the staff was adding to the environment! When there was no one at the bar I saw the bar tender grooving and as the staff were buzzing around every once in a while I would see them break out in dance. These small details make a huge difference in the environment, energy and the guests experience.
I could not recommend Trout lake any more highly!

ience with Trout Lake, as they were very informative and helpful with any questions we had. The day of was a completely different story. We hired an outside day of coordinator due to the time restriction of only having access to the venue 2 hours before our ceremony. Trout Lake's day of coordinator didn't meet with us till the 17th for rehersal. We were under the impression our DOC would run the ceremony given that she had helped us with planning. Their DOC tried to run the event, told my dog handlers to wait at the barrels until further notice (this was never the plan, they were supposed to be sent down to the maid of honr and best man). They also held our guests in the parking lot because they were "late" but they were being held 10 minutes before the start time. They also told those guests that it was my decision, I had to then go around during the reception and after the wedding to do damage control and appologize to guests and explain that was not my wish. I would have rather started late, than start without them. I was lied to multiple times when I brought these issues up to Trout Lake, which I am finding out more and more after talking to other vendors, and guests. The food at the reception was also cold, even the first tables up to get food said it was cold. Also we had multiple people tell us they were sick Saturday, suspecting it was something they ate from dinner. Again it was a beautiful day and the venue is gorgeous but the communication/coordination from Trout Lake is very laking for the ammount you pay them.

Our team works hard to make sure your day is exactly how you envision it to be from the moment you tour with us, until your wedding day. We stand by our transparency, as all our policies are outlined within paperwork and are accessible throughout your process with Trout Lake.
We spoke with you at length about your guests being held on ceremony start time. At Trout Lake we will always try our best to get all guests seated in a timely matter. However, if guests are late, we do hold them as soon as your ceremony precession begins. This is to ensure guests are not walking down and finding seats when our couples are walking down the aisle.
At Trout Lake we always have our Day of Coordinator here to greet you on arrival and assist you with all your needs to ensure your day is so special. We understand you had your own coordinator for your day, and we apologize there was a miscommunication between both coordinators on the day.
On your day of your wedding, you did choose our buffet menu. I can assure you that our food is served hot on the line with burners throughout the whole dinner service. We take our food service very seriously here and pride ourselves that is comes out hot, delicious and on time.
Between our customer service and food, these are our top two areas that couples and guests rave about after their wedding day. As communicated to you via phone call after your wedding, we are surprised to hear that you and a few guests feel otherwise.
We have gone above and beyond after your event to understand your concerns and help resolve any miscommunications including providing monetary compensation on aspects of your day. Our staff coordination team reviewed your email and notes from our phone call of the issues you bought up. We want to reiterate that that we are sorry you felt that way and experienced these negative feelings on your day. We understand that our venue is not for everybody, though we strive to ensure that every wedding and event that books with us has an incredible experience throughout their whole process with Trout Lake.

very seamless leading up to the big day. Over 200 plated meals they had out - piping hot even - within half an hour for dinner service. The renovations they have made to the cocktail hour space are *chef’s kiss*. Our guests have raved to us multiple times since our wedding about the beauty of the venue and the delicious food. Trout Lake was prompt and efficient with timeline and dinner service, incredibly personable to our guests, and attended to us as the bride and groom effortlessly throughout the night. ere excellent with communication, answering any questions quickly and with great detail. Their space is a gated property so you do have to make appointments or schedule any time you or any of your vendors want to spend on the property. They were very transparent with us up front and let us know that we would have to take down all of our decorations ourselves that night or we were given the option to pay to have them take it down and store in boxes overnight. We ended up paying for them to take down and store overnight and it was so worth it! All of our guests said how awesome the food was and many people raved about the cupcakes, they all thought we must’ve had a bakery or other vendor supply the cupcakes because they were that good! Seriously, I hope whoever makes the cupcakes and dessert at Trout Lake has a bakery they own on the side because they are so talented. Our day went so smooth from the arrival of our vendors, groomsmen and bridal parties, to the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception! There was a small issue with communication where we were told on several occasions that the cocktail would last from 4:30 PM until 6:00 PM and then were told at 5:25 PM that the cocktail hour was ending in 5 minutes. The staff were quick to apologize and help make sure the transition to the reception went smoothly for our guests and everyone in the wedding party! There are multiple ceremony locations to choose from at the venue, all of which are stunning! We were able to still do our ceremony outside (in December!) at the newly constructed covered pavilion. There were ample heaters and an active fireplace that kept us and our guests all warm during the ceremony and made for beautiful pictures! There is also a Lakehouse available for rent for the wedding party the night of the rehearsal dinner and the night of the wedding (2 night minimum) which we highly recommend as it made travel to the venue the day of, after hair and make up, very easy! Overall this location is gorgeous and I would recommend it to anyone looking to find a secluded location to get married with great food and amazing views!

They were extremely communicative during planning, and setting up deadlines for when to decide aspects of the wedding event. They were very transparent with our contract, no surprises. Trout lake had worked with many of our local vendors before, which allowed operations to run smoothly on our bid day. The staff were all energetic and excited to join our experience. Our wedding party and guests commented on how kind servers, bartenders, and attendees were. Of note, we loved seeing the bartenders enjoy our band as much as we did. Service was spectacular and as expected when we discussed how cocktail hour would be done, how food would be served to individual tables, and the timeline for completing key moments like cake cutting, dessert/coffee table, etc. You will be happy with the people you work with at Trout Lake. Regarding the property itself, the venue was absolutely stunning. They have clearly been investing back into the property/facilities because there were several new amenities available at our wedding that were not there when we booked and all were gorgeous! There were scattered rain storms on our wedding day and the venue was completely prepared for shifting to new locations if needed. The rainy day option, we’d like to add, is just as beautiful as the ideal lakefront ceremony locations. This is unique, as many other local venues pivot to less ideal indoor rainy day plans. The reception space is large and accommodated our 7-piece band, a large dance floor, and seating for 115 guests. Trout Lake is ultimately a beautiful, private, and wonderfully maintained property for a wedding. We are so happy we got married at Trout Lake, and that it was the location for some of our most precious memories. 100% would recommend.

We also had rented the Lake House down the road for getting ready and it has a perfect lake view, rustic chic decor, and was the best photographic bridal getting ready suite I could have imagined. We were lucky with a sunny fall day for our wedding but I honestly don’t think there could be a bad day at Trout Lake. Our guests throughout the entire night just kept coming up and saying how beautiful it is and how much they enjoyed the food. Not a single person had anything negative to say about the food and drinks (and you know that’s a big thing at weddings is the food). Everything was just so flawless, I can’t say that enough.
A special shout-out is owed to Kelley and Josie. Kelley and Josie throughout our day not only kept us on time, but they made sure everything (and I mean literally everything) went off without any issues. Kelley made sure we had food from cocktail hour/reception and we never had to even go to the bar for a drink. Kelley even had a drink waiting post ceremony for us. Josie made sure our ceremony and sparkler send off happened how I envisioned it. We never had to worry about a single thing with these two the entire night. They both were SO beyond attentive. I’m so glad these two were the coordinators for our day because I am just utterly grateful for how professional, kind, and just amazing they were throughout our day. Our guests were SO impressed with the staff at Trout Lake.
Months later and people are still raving about our wedding. That should tell you something about Trout Lake. Anyone who I speak to I’ll always highly recommend the venue. Everything was beyond perfect. Trout Lake will forever hold a piece of our hearts. Two less trout in the lake!

great- especially the ones that were there on THE day: Kelley, Tanya, and their Team!
It was so convenient having Trout Lake provide just about everything right there on premise. Not only were they able to coordinate it all, but it was top tier! Our guests could not stop raving about the beauty, the food, and the service. There were even some things that we didn’t have to plan for (and didn’t even really know about) that were so impressive to us and our guests: the butlered drinks and the beer tubs at the end of the bar. There was NEVER a line at the bar!
We also rented the Lake House which actually was used for the grooms immediate family (complete with 6 young nieces and nephews!) and highly recommend it! The house and location is beautiful and it’s right down the road for easy access to the venue.
Another recommendation would be to do an after party at the boathouse! The reception was incredible but we weren’t ready to stop. Whoever wanted to stay longer headed over to the boat house for some more drinks and socializing. We turned it into our own karaoke night (groomsman brought a speaker and mic) and made even more lifetime memories!
We could not have asked for a better wedding day and it all started with Trout Lake!

I wanted a Fall wedding so the location itself was beautiful, all the breathtaking views with all the fall colors and their staff was AMAZING. I have nothing but nice things to say about everyone there. They were all so kind, welcoming and loved seeing them enjoy themselves too! Tanya was so wonderful and helpful through out the process. Every question we had was always answered at a timely matter. She was unable to work the day of our wedding but left us in great hands with their team. Josie and Kelley took over and I wouldn't have stayed calm without her and her team. I was able to enjoy every moment as well as my husband. We were catered to every need and always had someone checking in on us so make sure we were okay. We were even treated to our signature drinks right outside the pavilion where we had our ceremony which btw...WOW! So beautiful!!!
The food was amazing! Again, so many compliments from our guests. I love that we were able to add an ice-cream along with out desserts. Everything was set up just the way I wanted and it all looked so beautiful. This venue was just perfection and it was everything we wanted and more. It had that beautiful rustic touch and the additions that they added were absolutely gorgeous. We highly recommend this venue!

Whether you pick the outside in the two different locations to get married by the lake or even go into the woods under the beautiful covered area... Will make the ceremony look absolutely spectacular.
The food all round from the cocktail hour to the dinner to the desserts were AMAZING! I have guests asking me where I have gotten the food and desserts catered from, so they can order food to have on their own time.
The ciders, beers, and wines were all amazing too. I know it was our choices, but still it was super tasty.
We had a perfect day and I am so happy that we did the first look before everything and took all of our photos with our bridal party and family all after that. It helped safe so much time during the cocktail our and reception to party!
Trout Lake we will recommend you to everyone we know and hope to have another fun and exciting experience here with you again!

On the day of, the staff was WONDERFUL. Our guests made multiple comments about how friendly everyone was. The venue speaks for itself - it's just in the most gorgeous setting on a lake and in the woods. impeccable, and they are constantly updating and adding decks/pavilions to make your day perfect no matter the weather! We were blessed and had a gorgeous fall day and the fall foliage was perfect! Cocktail hour was great! As soon as the ceremony ended, everyone had delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks in hand. The staff set up all our decorations exactly how we pictured, and the main room was beautiful. We received so many compliments on the food (flank steak, and shrimp), everyone's plates started very full and were completely empty after eating. The staff were so nice and eager to help with anything needed. The bartenders knew how to make great drinks! Tanya, our wedding coordinator was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and knew exactly how to make the day flow perfect. She worked in every detail we wanted. I could not say enough about this venue! We are still receiving so many compliments! Now I want to attend a wedding there! Highly recommend having your wedding here. You will not regret it!

even more so with a gorgeous covered outdoor area (we did our first look here), and incredible deck that made our ceremony entrance that much more breathtaking. We’ve received ENDLESS compliments about how gorgeous our venue was!
I can’t say enough great things about their staff. They’re attentive, kind, respectful, and treat you like a part of their family! We never once felt ignored or slighted, and they were willing to accommodate us in every way we asked to make sure our wedding was exactly what we envisioned. Halfway through the night, the bartender even knew members of our family by name, and we thought that was an amazing touch!
Food and drinks here are also amazing. We highly recommend the Chicken Francaise, Pulled Pork, Waikiki Meatballs, and Bacon Wrapped Scallops!
Also highly recommend renting the lake house! It’s beautiful and only about a half-mile from the venue! My wife and I were able to get ready there together because the top and bottom floors are separate. It really made things so much easier the morning of since hair and makeup stylists arrive so early.
Honestly, we have no bad things to say about this place! We couldn’t have been happier, and our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more!

With that, we felt like we were being hit with additional fees quite often. Other than that, it was a lovely experience to be married there. Our friends and family from out of state were blown away by the beauty of the property, and our wedding photos are incredible!
We rented the Lake House and stayed there the night before and night of our wedding. Overall, it was a great space and served its purpose of bridal party getting ready, and newlywed brunch the next morning.
Overall our experience at Trout Lake was a pleasant and beautiful one :)

ever, it was the team that really sets this venue apart from the rest. The day of our wedding was completely stress-free because they had everything under control and were there with us every step of the way if we needed something. Everyone was kind and fun and felt like they all felt like they were celebrating with us, not just working.
All of the food was incredible and the late-night food was such a hit! (I highly recommend to any couple.)
My girls and I stayed at the lake house the night before and got ready there and I 10/10 recommend this if it's available for your wedding. It made the morning of stress-free by having everyone already there. We also hosted our rehearsal at the Boat House the night before and had the best time.
Huge shout out to Lucy for being an absolute angel the day of the wedding. She anticipated all of our needs beforehand and if something went wrong, I didn't even know it. We also paid for them to decorate for us, and they went above and beyond and made the place absolutely magical.
I can't recommend having your wedding at Trout Lake enough. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing!

looking for. Our first tour was done virtually and although we weren't there in person, we needed to act quick on locking this venue in as many 2020 weddings were being postponed. A few months later we were able to go onsite and realized that the pictures don't do justice and felt so much relief to know that we booked a venue virtually that we fell even more in love with in person. The venue coordinator at the time was always around to answer any questions and we never felt like we were just another couple that booked with them. We later went on our fall tasting and thought the food was pretty good! As we got closer to our wedding date, the coordinator that we have been working with decided to leave and we were introduced to the new coordinator, Vanessa. Meeting her and talking through our big day was seamless and she was able to pick up right where we left off. She is also assisted by Tanya who we met on our original tour. She has been the absolute BEST throughout our 1 1/2 years we have been working with them. Lastly, we met with Lucy the day of the wedding and felt like we knew her as long as the rest of the team. The entire staff has been a pleasure to work with and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. They were always around making sure we had a drink in hand, enough food to eat, or any other things we may have needed. We left the decorating up to them and left them with some staged pics of what we wanted along with a box of miscellaneous items to place using their best judgement. If you are looking for a fall/rustic wedding, this is the place to be! So many photo opportunities on site and I don't doubt that the other seasons are probably just as beautiful. THANK YOU TO THE TROUT LAKE TEAM!!!!!

king for a venue that has that rustic, woodland feel but also has beautiful views of a lake and mountains, look no further because Trout Lake has it all!
As for our wedding day, the staff made everything go smoothly! My hair and makeup ran late but they graciously worked with us so that we were still able to do a first look before the ceremony. My family also arranged a surprise carriage ride for me and my husband during cocktail hour which we loved but it did cut into being able to get photos with our families and bridal party during that time. Trout Lake was so accommodating though - they gave us some extra time between cocktail hour and the reception to get our photos. That truly meant the world to me! They were wonderful to work with and checked in with me through the day to see if I needed anything. The food was great and all of our guests had a great time. I would recommend this venue to anyone!!!

As if I wasn’t already excited to have my wedding at Trout Lake, the entire day totally exceeded my expectations thanks to Vanessa, Tanya, Morgan, Lucy, and the rest of the team/staff. Everyone was so helpful, attentive, professional and just fun to work with! If there were any little details we forgot about, Vanessa and the girls had it covered. They also kept the day running smoothly and on time.
All of our guests kept saying the food was the best they’ve had at a wedding too. You can’t go wrong with this place! We are forever grateful for Trout Lake and would recommend the venue to anyone! Thank you!!

Definitely not your average stuffed pepper! I was impressed and very grateful. I honestly think this is the perfect place for a fall wedding simply with the backdrop of trees starting to change colors. I would love to attend another event here, and definitely recommend it!

responsiveness, coordination and attention to detail! You all went above and beyond to make sure my bridal party, family, and guests were attended to! Everything flowed wonderfully (especially the drinks!!), the grounds were beautiful and decorated exactly how I wanted! The food during cocktail hour and the reception was so delicious, portioned well, and HOT! I know it was a long time coming with all my postponements and such, but it was 1000% worth the wait!! I will recommend this to anyone and everyone I can! I’m so obsessed!

ALL of the staff were incredibly polite, going far above the call of duty to help where needed. I couldn’t walk past a staff member without them telling me how beautiful I looked or being asked if I needed anything. That little bit of extra attention goes so far to make your day less stressful and more enjoyable.
The food was excellent, we received so many compliments. The indoor/outdoor space was beautiful. I especially love how much space is available for cocktail hour. Everything was absolutely perfect! I will continue to go out of my way to recommend Trout Lake to anyone who’s looking for the perfect venue!
My only piece of advice for brides/constructive criticism for the venue is to make sure you’re both on the same page as to where a cigar bar will be set up if you opt to have one. My impression was that it would be set up during cocktail hour and that no smoking was allowed on the upper deck, which is what I wanted. Unfortunately it was done on the upper deck, during the reception. I wasn’t thrilled but I will say that my guests loved it and that’s what mattered most to me. Just make sure if you’re doing this to confirm this detail ahead of time :)

We could not have asked for a better venue. Not only did they embrace our creativity, they encouraged it. When we first visited trout lake we loved the lake view center, but had ...
concerns it would fit our ginormous family and 10 piece salsa band. Mark read our minds and suggested we check out “the arena” which was part of the property seldom used for wedding receptions. We fell in love with it instantly and the encouragement to make the space our own allowed us to transform it into something magical with bistro lighting strung from the support beams, an endless dancefloor, a second floor section for the DJ, and plenty of room for a 10 piece salsa band.
Trout lake was overly supportive of our multiple trips and meetings to the venue to make sure everything would be just right. Vanessa’s ability to consume all of the information we threw at her and then execute it into the perfect event left us feeling like she is either a magician or has multiple twins.
Morgan and Lucy also killed it. I showed up early on wedding day to drop off some last minute stuff and they were already there finishing the set up hours ahead of time to make sure everything went well. The rest of the day I could not look up without seeing them ready to pounce on any ask that we could have.
This venue truly was amazing in the fact it had everything. Perfect ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas. Everywhere you looked was an awesome spot for a photo. Food was great. Staff was over accommodating. The planning process was easy. Truly top of their field.

here in May and people are still talking about our wedding! The venue is so beautiful, we had beautiful weather and were able to open the doors to the deck for the entire reception. The food was outstanding, we had so many compliments on everything from the flank steak and salmon to the cupcakes. Most importantly for us the staff was so attentive and professional making sure we had everything we needed and more. The night flew by, I honestly could not imagine a more perfect wedding day.
