The venue was absolutely stunning and the owners were incredible helpful from day one. The helped answer all of my questions and offered any assistance they could. I would
Recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor venue with a lovely reception area. We also had them cater and the food was fantastic.
It is such a beautiful and fun place for a wedding! It is a location that has practically everything you could need for your wedding day,, and that is such a huge stress reliever. The best thing of all, is how wonderful and kind the owners are. They were extremely helpful with any questions we had.

Thank you Amber. It’s been a privilege and a blessing for us to get to know you, you’re new husband, and your family. Thank you for choosing us; it was a beautiful wedding.
Such a beautiful location! Loved that the chairs and tables were included. The barn was beautiful and spacious and allowed for a safe plan B if the weather turned during the ceremony. The owners were very friendly and easy to work with!

Thank you do much Danielle. What s beautiful wedding. We loved being a part of your day.
Any questions?
The Trout on Inn is an amazing wedding venue. I have been to a few weddings there and a 50th anniversary party over the last couple of years, and I can tell you the owners are amazing. They put a lot of time and effort into maintaining the area, to make it . I've noticed they have done many upgrades to the location. My favorite part is the newer lighted patio. They have an amazing inclusive packageThey cater, they have lodging, and they are on site for all weddings making sure the event goes smoothly. Their portable bathrooms on site are surprisingly clean and in the evenings, they have even installed lights. I know their basic price point is hard to beat. They include tables, chairs, linens, yard games, speaker systems, and they have ice on site. It is one of the prettiest places I have been and it is very peaceful. They catered a really good pulled pork and chicken meal and had five servers which made the line go pretty fast. I would definitely recommend this venue. The pictures are pretty but it's even prettier in person!
I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that was held at Trout On Inn. It was hands down the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to! The amenities were perfect for everything that we needed and it was so fun to be able to spend the weekend in the big house. The food was fantastic and there was a ton of space for dancing! If I were to re-do my own wedding, I would have used Trout On Inn! Also, the pictures of the Bride and Groom were phenomenal because of the beautiful back drop.

Thanks so much Leslie, for the five star review. We are so glad you loved the location. We’d love to have you visit again any time.
We had to cancel our big wedding on 5/23/2020 due to covid. The state and country regulations made it so the trout on inn could not legally host the wedding due to capacity and food regulations, but they refused to give us our deposit back even though they legally could not fulfill the contract signed. We went back and forth with the owners about how we legally could not have the wedding we agreed upon in the contract and those facts were ignored when they decided to keep our $1,700 deposit. We ended up using the venue for a small elopement instead since we already paid and the owner said we were not allowed to use the bathrooms unless we wanted to pay an additional $500 cleaning deposit, so we had to keep it short. Additionally, the host said we would be able to use either WiFi or cell service to zoom in family and friends and neither worked so our family and friends were not able to “be there”. Was so excited to get married here and instead it ended up bringing nothing but stress and upset to our experience. It took me awhile to write this review because I was so upset about it for the longest time. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

We are very sorry to hear that the ceremony/day did not meet your expectations; and we are actually quite surprised to hear this perspective of the events as it has been a while. The impacts that COVID-19 has caused in so many situations are we...
ll understood. An email from the Trout on Inn was sent this week, asking for feedback and a review; although we did not get the five star review we were hoping for, we do appreciate the honesty from your perspective. Our response is below:
The decision to cancel the "big event" was not an easy one on the wedding couple, as was the decision to stay steadfast withholding the deposit. The wedding was not cancelled by the venue it was cancelled by the couple, as many were coming from hot spot states. As seen below the couple asked after cancelling to go ahead with a ceremony, it was honored by the venue. The cancellation policy also mentions the deposit is held towards a future event for up to two years. It is also the policy of the Trout on Inn to have a representative of the business to be on site and available to meet the needs of those who use the venue for weddings/events. In this case the owner was available and present. At no time during the ceremony was any of the issues in this review mentioned to the owner.
When the decision was made to go ahead with the ceremony by the couple, the communications from the bride stated, "If you agree (to the ceremony), we would just need to use the area by the pergola and a few chairs for our witnesses, and then we would take some pictures after. I would say it would be no more than a couple of hours. We would also want to stream it over zoom or YouTube and would need to use WiFi if you have it."
Our venue was happy to accommodate this ceremony and excited that the couple still planned on a ceremony at the venue. Our reply, "It should be fine to use the property. If you don’t need the house or barn, just come and let us know the times. If you need the house or barn or both, we would need to charge the $500 fee plus tax to cover the expenses of cleaning, etc. I’m glad you guys are able to still do the civil ceremony. The trees are starting to bloom. It should be nice and green by next weekend."
Bathrooms were never discussed as there are portable bathrooms on site that are available to ALL guests at ALL weddings at ALL times. They remain on site annually and are well maintained every Wednesday; they very clean. There are also signs around the property leading to the bathrooms. It is not clear why this was mentioned in this review as it is a non-issue!
As far as WIFI, this venue has WIFI on site. It does not work in the barn (which was not used for the ceremony); all couples are informed to have downloaded music if a DJ is not used, it does work around the property; however, it is not perfect due to the location; it is quite rural in nature and 30 minutes outside of town. One of the owners is a teacher and did teach remotely from the venue/property in March, April, May and June and did not have issues with Zoom or Google Meet. However, it is a known fact that Zoom was overwhelmed due to schools and businesses going remote and this issue could have very well been an issue outside of the venue itself as it was more of a systemic issue. YouTube was not used at the time by anyone working or living on site, so this option could not be verified.
Again, we are sorry that the ceremony became a stressful and upsetting experience. It was never the intention of this business or employees. COVID-19 and the pandemic that came with it, has been nothing but stressful. Life events like this one held in 2020, as well as other events like graduations, etc. will always be tied to the year of the pandemic. We do wish you both the best as you come upon your first anniversary. We do pray that your marriage is strengthened and grows as time goes on and our world gets back to more normal times.
The Trout On Inn is GORGEOUS!! Honestly besides marrying my husband, the venue was the best part! Yes there is WiFi, however if you don’t connect the only reception you have is outside, and let me tell you what a blessing that was being the bride! At first I was worried about how everything was going to work out and then it sailed smoothly for communication! Even better once I asked for the WiFi! Carey and Kristen were on top of all our needs, concerns or questions, they even helped with the rehearsal dinner, as well as cooked! The grounds keeper is a super genuine man himself, he and his wife had just had their 50th anniversary (don’t quote me entirely) celebration prior to our wedding! I only wish we had planned to spend more time to enjoy more than just the wedding, and all the wedding shenanigans. It would have been nice to fish, and just relax for a day or two! I will always recommend the Trout On Inn to anyone looking to host a family reunion, wedding or a nice homey vacation!

Thanks so much Lynzee. We appreciate your wonderful review of our place.
Very private. Beautiful venue with the most comfortable beds ever! You will not meet nicer people who go the extra mile to make sure everything is just right! A fisherman's dream forsure... but a perfectly peaceful spot for just about anyone. My family and I will be back for many years to come.
