Amanda was wonderful to work with for all of the details of planning our second line. We couldn't have done it without her! This was the most fun experience of our lives and we will always remember how we had the BEST time parading around the FQ. Our families enjoyed every moment as well and loved every second of it. Working with Amanda was seem less from beginning to end! My husband and I didn’t know the first thing about planning our second line parade, and Amanda did EVERYTHING for us. Amanda at Frenchmen street productions handled the details of our second line parade including permits, police escort, parasols, and pedicabs. She was prompt with communication and on the day of, everything was seamless. We had a blast dancing through the streets and many guests talked about how the second line was one of the highlights of the weekend!

BEST PART OF MY WEDDING! My entire guest list agreed - having the second line at the end of my wedding was the highlight. I've need seen a second line band pump up the audience and sing the way they did, and even though we just second lined through the courtyard - it was still great fun. A million thanks to Frenchman Street Productions and Kinfolk Band! Amanda did a fantastic job of organizing and making sure my 90 year old grandmother was loaded into the pedi-cab before our Second Line Parade! Kinfolk was amazing too! All our of guests were from Dallas, and they were in AWE of the Second Line. Many of our friends told us that we helped check off something on their bucket list- visiting New Orleans and joining a parade! The Amanda and her parade planning &Kinfolk were worth every penny!

We booked Kinfolk for our second line and a small jazz ensemble for our reception through Frenchmen Street Productions. Incredible service! So of course for my wedding I used her services yet again! She was not only fabulous as always about getting everything together for me - but she and the Kinfolk band worked with me to learn a few special Star Wars songs to help surprise my now husband with a Star Wars themed Second Line! Not only was the band amazing (obviously), but Amanda's planning was also so fantastic. Our second line went down Canal Street! Amanda was so easy to work with, responded to emails quickly, and made the whole process fun and stress free. She even came to the event and walked the route with us and danced the whole way. One of the most memorable experiences! We hired Kingfolk Brass Brand through Frenchman Street Productions for my sisters vow renewal celebration. We had a very small group and I was concerned we it wouldn't be the same with such a small group. However, it was perfect! The planning process was a breeze from start to finish. I'm a planner myself and thought I could obtain permits and parade route myself, however it was 100% worth the added cost to have Amanda take care of everything. We literally showed up to the meeting location and had the time of our lives! The band members, grand marshall, and event coordinator Lynne were extremely personable and danced along with smiles on their faces. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

If you are planning to do a second line for your wedding use Frenchmen Street Productions to help take care of all the fine details involved in your second line. It was a no brainer to allow Amanda to take care of all the details while we just showed up and partied our butts off. Our wedding reception ended with Kinfolk Brass Band second lining us down Poydras St. Frenchmen Street Productions literally had Poydras St shut down for our second line! Our guest, all from out of town, have continued to state that this was the BEST wedding they have ever been to and that our second line was over the top! Our second line could not have been any more perfect and it’s all because of Amanda and Frenchmen Street Productions! Thank you guys!

The second line absolutely MADE our wedding. We waited until the end of the reception and, most of our guests being from out of town, it was a huge surprise and so much fun! Amanda took care of everything - all we did was walk out the door, she handed us our umbrellas and we were on our way. They guys even learned Sexual Healing at our request, and played I Wanna Dance With Somebody which was obviously a huge hit. Our guests can't stop talking about it and it was the perfect end to the night!

She answered all of my many questions about song choices, a friend singing with the band, coordinated our second line parade route and planned an unbelievable ending to our wedding day. Our guests, most from out of town, stated it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to largely in part to the phenomenal send off of the second line. The musicians' joy is infectious and the entire team gave us some of the best memories of our wedding. Seriously, book them now!

We hired the Kinfolk Brass Band (& their planner Amanda) for our wedding second line. Ok, so the price tag initially seemed high, but it was by far the BEST PART OF OUR WEDDING. <--re-read that...it was sooooo worth it! I would have paid any amount of money to have Kinfolk Brass Band lead our second line!!!! They were so much fun and made for a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us and all of our guests. We spent a lot of time debating whether or not we wanted to second line, since although I'm from New Orleans, my husband and most of our guests aren't. We ended up deciding to go for it since Kinfolk was available and it was such a unique New Orleans tradition to share with our guests. We booked them to lead us out of our reception to Pat O'Brien's, taking a cool scenic route so our guests could see some of the Quarter. Everything was just perfect! If you're debating having a second line or hiring Kinfolk Brass Band, you should go for it...seriously, one of the best wedding decisions we made and by far the most talked-about part of our wedding and the part we'll remember forever. (Oh - and DEFINITELY pay for Amanda to do all of your planning...it was immensely worth it to have her plan the route, deal with the permits, and hire the police escorts!) Kinfolk & Amanda - thank you SO MUCH for making our wedding so much fun and creating this amazing experience for us!!!!

When I say that our wedding was the most fun I have ever had in my whole life, I mean it. I cannot say enough GREAT things about our experience with Frenchmen Street Productions, Kinfolk Brass Band, and Amanda Thompson!!! In fact, we're already trying to figure out how to get back to NOLA so we can work with them all over again!!! :-) As you can imagine, planning a Second line parade is no easy feat, so literally having a "one stop shop" where everything could be taken care of was such a WIN for everyone involved! Pre-parade, the thing that really made Frenchmen Street Productions stand out in the crowd was their responsiveness to all of my questions. We were planning this parade for my husband's BIG birthday celebration, and friends from all over the country were flying in to join in on the fun! Amanda at Frenchman Street Productions is amazing! She coordinated a limo to my rehearsal dinner, our reception band (Kinfolk Brass Band...amazing!!), our second line band (Kinfolk Brass Band again...amazing!!), our second line parade, and pedicabs for the second line for members of my family that couldn't walk the whole way for my Christmas wedding at The Roosevelt. She is top notch and every single detail was perfect. I cannot describe to you how amazing the second line was and it was the highlight of the wedding. Amanda even coordinated to have the parade stop in front of Hotel Monteleone where my fiance proposed. We were able to run inside and take a few pictures while the band entertained the guests outside the hotel. Everything was just perfect! Thank you, Amanda!!

This review is for Kinfolk Brass Band, which we had for our Second Line! The second line was a unique, fun and memorable part of our wedding (for us and our guests). The band was excellent and Amanda's pre-planning and day of services were priceless! Our guests were blown away by the second line- dancing in the street, brass music and the awesome energy of the band and team! Ending the wedding with a Second Line, led by Kinfolk Brass Band, was one of the best decisions we made and a highlight of the wedding. They always responded in a timely manner, were helpful even with things outside of their realm and they were an overall pleasure to work with. If you book Kinfolk, definitely book Amanda to help you coordinate as well. She helped us move along at a perfect pace, stop and enjoy each moment and everything was flawless!

We used Kinfolk Brass Band for our wedding on October 3, and we couldn't have done it without Amanda from Frenchmen Street Productions. We were planning everything from California, and the thought of applying for permits, coordinating the police escorts, and the route planning for our second-line was not something we really wanted to do. Amanda made it so easy for us! It was EPIC and our friends and family loved it!

Frenchmen Street Productions helped us coordinate a Second Line band with Kinfolk Brass Band (one of the best brass bands out there). Amanda Kinfolk was able to get our Second Line parade route to go on BOURBON STREET! Definitely worth the money! They were super easy to work with, fun, punctual and the band blew our guests away. I would gladly recommend them to friends, family, and strangers!

We just got back from NOLA and were married on June 26th, 2015. Having the Kinfolk Brass Band and Amanda Thompson be a part of our day was a fantastic experience (start to finish). Amanda professionally handled every piece of the parade and all we, our guests and the people along the parade route had to do was enjoy the festivities, which they whole heartedly did (makes me smile just thinking about it). They also played privately at our reception which was a blast. We had strangers later on that evening stop us in the street and show us the pictures they took of the parade from earlier in the day. We are so glad we had the Kinfolk Brass Band be a part of our day. Make sure to get Gerald as your Grand Marshall....you won't regret it. Our guest had a great time and more then one commented on how all future weddings for them will always fall short if there is no second-line with the Kinsfolk Brass Band.... they are authentic all the way.

It's hard planning a wedding... It's even harder when it's in a different city over a 1000 miles away during their busiest time of year. (NYC to NOLA + Mardi Gras season) What makes it easier is dealing with people who are communicative, forthright, honest and passionate. And Frenchmen Street Productions (FSP) is exactly that. We needed a brass band for a traditional New Orleans second line parade at our welcome party, which was a few days before our wedding. Amanda from FSP took care of everything. Not only did she book us Kinfolk Brass Band, she got us a grand marshall, three mardi gras indians AND ON TOP OF THAT, she took the time to go to the local precinct to get the parade permit and schedule the police motorcycle escort too! She also saved our butts because she realized that on our wedding day there were a few massive parades going through NOLA and our wedding guests (145 people) would have no way to get from their hotels/airbnbs in the French Quarter & Marigny to the lower garden district. So she coordinated 2 charter buses to meet all of our guests in Jackson Square and again acquired a police motorcade to get them there safely and on time! The price for all this work was very fair. It was worth every penny to have someone with such local knowledge and professionalism handling all these responsibilities. We couldn't have pulled all this off without FSP. They saw our vision through to the very end and made our guest's first NOLA experience one they will never soon forget! We are eternally grateful. A short word about the band... Kinfolk Brass Band was AMAZING. Prompt, talented beyond words, energetic and dressed to impress.
