I hired True DJs of Dallas, after my wedding planner recommended them when we were looking for a good DJ. We had been to a few weddings and noticed the music all seemed so similar so we really wanted a DJ that would listen to what we wanted but also be able to read the crowd and vibe in the room. I initially met with Michael, who talked with me to get the overall vibe I wanted for the wedding and music. After that, he paired us with Nick for our big day and assured us everything would be great. He was 100% right - Nick was fantastic and very professional. Everyone told us they loved the music and mix of old school and current music he played which appealed to basically everyone at our wedding. If you're looking for a DJ that truly cares about your music taste, and won't play a generic wedding playlist - book True DJs of Dallas!

We used Michael Roos from True DJs of Dallas for our wedding. He was fantastic! From the start he was super professional and personable. He helped us plan our timeline of the entire wedding, and gave us fantastic ideas on how to maximize the flow of the wedding reception. He gave us ideas that we did not think or know to ask, even ideas our wedding planner did not bring up. Some of his ideas included the best way to time when to give the speeches, as well as the wording used to ask our parents for their first dance! This was all info that was separate from his true position of being our DJ! He was truly the best MC. He has a website that makes adding music and preferences super easy. His music choice was spot ON! The wedding was fantastic and everyone loved Michael and his services from True DJs of Dallas. #truedjsofdallas

Michael was extremely helpful in getting us set up for our wedding. He set us up with Jeremy who was so kind and sweet! He really listened to what we wanted and what was important to us. Our families don’t “party” and he still got us on the dance floor! The music and timings were great and he kept the party alive until the tornado warning came through. He quickly sped along so we could get our honeymoon dance and make a fake exit for pics before everyone left. Both Michael and Jeremy were very responsive with texts and emails and even FaceTimed us several tomes before the event to calm my worries. Thanks guys!! #truedjsofdallas really rocked our night!

Michael and his team of other DJ's are top notch! Seriously. Very detail oriented and focused on getting things organized so things can run very smoothly. Michael wasn't able to DJ our wedding, but he had Nick do the event for us and really can't commend them enough! Everyone kept raving about Nick. We only talked with Michael prior to the event, but just with talking and coordinating with him; we were more than sure that Nick would be able to handle things perfectly fine and he exceeded our expectations.

Michael was absolutely incredible on our wedding day. He is the best DJ. Even before booking him he spent over an hour on zoom call talking about what we wanted in a wedding and if he would be the right fit. He discusses so many things that you can forget when it comes to timeline. He created us a timeline and he was almost like a planner. He looks out for your best interest and always makes sure the bride and groom are the center of attention. He knows how to get and keep a party going no matter the age range. Before our wedding we had 2 zoom calls to discuss details before the big day. Also a few months before the wedding he drove over 2 hours to come look at our venue layout. If you are looking for a DJ, this is him! My most favorite thing about him is puts all of his time and effort into your wedding to make it perfect. It was so great to have him with us for our big day! 🤩

Fantastic. Michael was the best DJ ever at our wedding. He met with us well in advance and was there for us the whole way through. He has an amazing talent for blending the music together and keeping the dancers on the floor! He was also an amazing MC. Highly talented and professional. Such a cool person too. Michael is the man! He was great to work with. He really listened to our wants and crafted an amazing soundtrack for our wedding.  He worked the crowd well and checked in with us several times to make sure we were happy with the music and we very much were. Michael really came in clutch with helping us structure a good flow with the music based on the song choices we made. True DJs of Dallas could not have been a better choice for my husband and I! We met Michael at the Dallas Bridal Show and clicked right away. We were able to schedule a consultation with him at his studio (pre-covid) to discuss what he had to offer before booking. Michael wasn't "gimmicky", he was straight-forward with his recommendations, explained why he recommended them and promised to not play all of the cliche wedding songs (but would if we really wanted them)- exactly what we were looking for! He stayed in frequent contact before the wedding and we had FaceTime meetings to hash out all of the details. He asked for our Spotify playlists to be able to understand our taste in music and provided a music database for us to search and customize must-have songs for our ceremony and reception. There was contact between him and our wedding planner about the wedding timeline and he was very hands-on throughout the whole day. He arrived early with all of his equipment ready to go and jumped right in to meet all our other vendors. We had a November/Covid wedding and he made all of the necessary announcements to ensure our guests and himself stayed safe during our event. What stood out to me was that Michael brought his personality to the wedding and he truly felt like a guest or friend we had invited! There was one moment when got to sit down as a newly married couple to eat dinner and talk for a second and we heard one of our favorite songs playing. What a great memory to have! You can't go wrong with booking them!

I found about True Djs of Dallas through a co-worker, and using them was some of the best advice I followed when planning our wedding. Michael took the time to sit down with my wife and I and get to know us which made our experience so much more personable. They have a super organized process which was very helpful in creating our timeline which made the wedding flow smoothly throughout the night. We had several meetings throughout the planning process to ensure the night went exactly how we wanted it. They have so much experience with weddings, and other events; I would recommend following their advice as they know what they are doing! They could answer any questions we had. Plus, Michael was super cool with working with our coordinator to make sure everyone was on the same page. The most important part of the DJs job, the music, was flawless. He didn’t sit there with an iPod, playing boring and basic music, but was an entertainer for us! True Djs of Dallas want to know your music taste, they do the rest and the result is fantastic. Lastly, they didn’t kill us on price. Michael didn’t recommend anything we didn’t need, and it ended up being the best money spent for our wedding. Michael was AMAZING!! He was great from beginning to end. Always willing to help and answer any and all questions we had, as well as, give us referrals to vendors we hadn’t booked yet for our wedding. Wow! From start to finish my bride and I couldn't of been happier with Michael Roos and True DJs of Dallas. Everything from the original meeting with him, to the planning of almost song by song of what my wife and I wanted played at the wedding was on point. The things we were seeking in our music selections combined with the thoughts and opinions Michael had made everything go very easy. He had the music timeline of everything that was happening during the wedding and basically could of acted as our wedding coordinator if we needed him to be. We had to have quite the variety in music due to our guest list count to try to please everybody and in our opinion there is no one out there that could of done a better job for what we were asking of him. Everything from country, Texas country, hip-hop, rap, rock n' roll, alternative, classic rock, and a heavy dose of Latin music because my wife's family is Hispanic. I never once saw the dance floor empty or even close to it, Michael kept the music pumping and the party going all night. We only regret not being able to dance more and longer into the night. Michael was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. We used his services for our cocktail hour, wedding ceremony, and reception. We found True DJs of Dallas from our venue's preferred vendor list, and we scheduled a meeting with Michael at his studio in Deep Ellum pretty early in our planning process. Michael was personable, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. My fiance and I were blown away by how much time he spent with us, how much wisdom and words of advice he shared, and how well we got along. In that first meeting - before we ever signed anything or agreed to work together - Michael put together a detailed timeline of our entire wedding start to finish and shared it with us. It took so much pressure off (completely removed our need for a day-of coordinator, which was HUGE), and made us feel like we were in great hands. He also had recommendations for other vendors we still needed to hire. We booked Michael pretty much right away after receiving his proposal later that night. Honestly, the value Michael brought to our wedding far exceeds his price tag! After we signed our contract, we used Michael's online planning tool to choose some of our important songs (first dance, processional/recessional, father/daughter dance, etc.), but we really didn't want to micro manage the process. We told Michael what we liked and what we thought our guests would like, and he took it from there. We are so glad we trusted his expertise! Throughout planning, Michael was responsive to emails, and even took the time for a phone call on a holiday weekend because I was struggling to decide if we needed a day-of coordinator or not. Michael was upfront about what he could and couldn't do day of, and his insight really helped make the decision. (I didn't end up hiring a coordinator, and I don't regret the decision at all. We didn't need one; Michael was right!) The day of the wedding, Michael showed up early with his assistant and was ready to go with plenty of time to say hello, give us a run down (without bogging us down with details - so nice!), and coordinate with our other vendors, including our Rabbi to get the lapel mic set up, know what to watch for during our ceremony, etc. Michael ran our reception from start to finish (we're talking grand entrance to last dance/send off) and TOTALLY NAILED IT. He communicated with us all night, watched us for cues, and kept everyone on the dance floor until the last moments of our party! It was amazing. The only, and I do mean ONLY, thing that I wish had gone slightly differently is that our hora (traditional Jewish wedding dance) was a little longer. However, that is not something I feel we could have planned for in advance as there are too many determining factors, such as guest participation. Again, Michael was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we recommend him and his team 100%. Working with people you like and trust goes a LONG way, especially on one of the biggest (most expensive) days of your life. I never felt stressed or questioned our decision about this aspect of our wedding. HIRE MICHAEL. He is the most awesome. We want to throw this party every year and have him run the show. P.S. Also feed your vendors. And give them a drink. They work hard :) #truedjsofdallas

True DJs Of Dallas was a great decision! We struggled finding the right DJ until we found them! Michael is who we first spoke to and just knows what he is doing! He was booked for our wedding date so he introduced us to KB who did an amazing job at our wedding! My wedding day went by so fast that I personally did not get to be on the dance floor much but all my guests did and that was my main goal! I definitely recommend True DJs Of Dallas for any wedding! You wont regret it!

We did not have a positive experience with Michael. He seemed good in the planning process but did not deliver on the day of. He missed some things he said he would do (announcing last call and playing our final dance song, for example) and did some things we specifically asked him not to do (taking random song requests and talking during our loved ones’ toasts, for example). I’m surprised by all the glowing reviews. We thought it was a little sloppy and way more expensive than it was worth.

From the very beginning we had a great experience with Michael Roos! During the first meeting we were already putting together a minute by minute timeline of my wedding. It was that attention to detail and his fun-loving personality that made booking with him a quick and easy decision. Michael kept the party going and made the transitions effortless throughout the night. I highly recommend him to make your day special!

By far the best DJ experience I have ever had. Michael was so good about getting the details right. He goes above and beyond to make the night special and helped plan out announcements and speeches. He’s great on his feet and can really feel the crowd to get them dancing. Super professional guy. I don’t think there’s another DJ like him. KB did a great job at our wedding. All of our guests told us how much they loved the music and we were dancing all night. Michael communicated with us regularly throughout the year we had booked True Dj's before our wedding. There just aren't enough awesome things to say about Michael Roos, owner and Senior DJ and I couldn't be happier that we found him. My (now) husband and I happened upon Michael and True DJs of Dallas as a recommended vendor from our venue. From the get-go, Michael took the time to understand what vibe we were looking for, our musical tastes, the type of crowd at our wedding, and how to bridge the gap between the older, more conservative crowd and our eclectic theme and musical requests. My (now) husband and I wanted a very different wedding -- one that would reflect every bit of our personality and be as unique as us. We decided on a Medieval/Renaissance theme with nods to Lord of the Rings, Monty Python & The Holy Grail, Game of Thrones, and The Princess Bride. We also wanted music that we loved (rock, 80's, goth metal, industrial) but didn't want to scare anyone into leaving early or not dancing. For any other DJ, this would be a nightmare of a task. Michael not only embraced our vision but had tons of ideas to contribute, making it even more epic. From our first conversation, we hit it off instantly. It was very clear that Michael knows his music. It was exciting to know Michael not only knew of the bands I wanted to be played but also enjoys that music as well. Our initial in-person meeting with Michael further cemented that he was the DJ for us. By nature, my (now) husband and I are introverts, but sitting down with Michael was like sitting down with a friend. It wasn't stressful, it was fun and easy-going. We could tell he knew his stuff and enjoys making each wedding/event memorable. In fact, we became great friends after the in-person meeting! Michael also offered to be our wedding officiant since we were also looking for something very specific. We considered having our officiant dress up as the Black Knight from The Holy Grail but couldn't find the costume -- as a backup, we planned on having Gandalf perform our ceremony. He was not only on board with this, but he also mentioned adding in the "mehwedge" part from The Princess Bride before we brought it up -- Michael totally "got" us. As our wedding day drew nearer, Michael was a total godsend and an absolute pro at what he does! He prepped us for our big day by creating our day-of timeline, he helped with the wedding flow, the table floorplans, he went over what songs to play and when, he even helped us with our vows and what all we wanted him as our officiant to say. I can't say it enough -- Michael is the bomb-diggity! Michael is truly an expert at his craft. If you're looking for a more personalized, true-to-you event... one that everyone attending will remember and enjoy... if you truly want your day to be special, True DJs is definitely the way to go. They're not one of those cookie-cutter, cheesy, run-of-the-mill DJ teams that have the corny line dances that belong at middle-school dances. My wedding day wouldn't have been as amazing at it was without Michael and his team. They made it easy, Michael made it fun, and he made it personal. We would absolutely hire True DJs again for any event. I have to also throw in that it's extra awesome to have gained such a great friend in Michael. His knowledge, expertise, and passion for what he does made our wedding day epic. Justin (my husband) and I are so very grateful we found him and now have such an amazing friend for life. Michael and DJ BigWiz were fantastic to work with! We have an alternative music taste and a mix of guests some of whom love to dance and many of whom would not dance ever. They hit the nail on the head with the music and were so helpful through the planning process!

Michael was awesome and one of my favorite vendors that we worked with. From the very beginning he made the process so easy and was one of the only vendors that would check in with me on a constant basis! He made me feel very secure about our decision on picking him as our DJ. All of our guest had an amazing time and commented on how great the music selection was. Michael was exceptional from the day we first met him. He was open, funny, and explained our big day in such a way that put us at ease. He helped us create something unique to who we are as a family. We knew that first meeting that we would hire True DJs of Dallas. The process was so simple, we could select our important songs and the do not play list, right from his website. When our wedding day arrived, he came and worked out the walking order with the wedding party, asked about small details and assured us that all will be well. Everything went off without a hitch and exactly as we planned. Michael went above and beyond that day, during pictures he noticed the cake had not been delivered (we had no idea)! Immediately he called and took care of it, next thing I knew the cake was on the table. He kept track of the timeline and kept us on track, we didn’t have to worry about a thing, just enjoyed our day. The mother of the bride needed some emotional support and Michael stepped in. The music was flawless, everyone was on the dance floor and having a good time! The grooms’ family drove from the Rio Grande Valley to North Texas and he made sure to include plenty of Tejano hits to get us going too! I’ve never heard set that meshed our families together with a mix of classic rock, new pop, country, rap and Tejano. A guest let us know that it simply was “the best wedding she has ever been to”. I cannot say enough great things about Michael. I am so happy I found him. I first spoke with one of those DJs that go for around $500. The guy on the phone kept trying to push line dances (chicken dance, boot scootin' boogie etc) after I explicitly said "no way." Music is huge to me! I knew the dancing was going to be my favorite part of the wedding and I wanted our guests to have an amazing time. I had looked in a million wedding websites for DJs but I found Michael on Yelp. After reading the review, me and my then fiance decided to meet with Michael to see if we meshed. We met with Michael talked about music for awhile. It wasn't a super technical conversation about details. Michael took the time to understand our tastes and we even just hung out and listened to a few songs to get the vibe. When we left, we looked and each other and just said "yep." We met with Michael once more before the wedding just to make sure we had everything we were supposed to have given him and he had all the details on the guests, wedding party and timeline. He also came to both of our venues on our walk through days to meet the wedding planner and map out the plan for moving from the ceremony in the woods to the reception area 30 minutes away to meet guests before they arrived for cocktail hour. My favorite thing about Michael was that I could trust his expertise. He knew I had some taste for more indie style, but that when people don't really know a song they don't tend to dance. Michael was able to bridge that gap beautifully and keep everyone dancing. Even my grandparents, who I have never seen dance in my entire life were dancing! He handled everything gracefully and really knew how to read the crowd. I cannot say enough great things about him. Positive attitude, professional, and honestly a joy to be around. I am pretty anti-social with people I am not close to and I would consider Michael a friend. My wedding day was as awesome as was in huge part to him.

Michael of True DJs is the absolute best! From our first meeting, he took the time to get to know our likes, dislikes, wants and needs for our wedding day. He literally built our wedding day timeline during the first meeting which was super helpful and helped bring our vision to life. When we started planning our wedding, the very first (and only) DJ we met with was Michael. That was all we needed. He was incredibly accommodating and especially after he put together a timeline for us in his program, we knew we were in the best hands. Truly made my wedding day memorable! So, I was at a loss for a DJ for our wedding. My venue sent me a list of preferred vendors, so this is how I found True DJs of Dallas. My husband and I met with Michael twice throughout the process. He was extremely thorough, and took the time to get to know us. He really got a feel for what we wanted. We also chose to have him officiate. He created an entire timeline for us, and really made sure everything ran smoothly. From officiating our wedding, to running the music, I really couldn't have asked for better. It was simply amazing. He knew how to feel out the crowd, and kept everyone on the dance floor. My husband and I kept having guests tell us how awesome our music was, and if they could get a CD. Hands down, best wedding ever!

Honestly, we could say a million wonderful things about Michael Roos, and his company. Not only did they handle the DJ services we needed for the wedding, but Michael was our officiant that conducted our ceremony also. Not one thing was out of place the entire process. He made sure to stay in contact with us the months leading up to the wedding, and was always very quick to communicate about anything we needed the entire time. Honestly, the amazing effort and overall performance and personal attention we received was beyond exceptional. We booked True DJs of Dallas for our wedding after speaking with Michael Roos. We ended up booking Nick for the event. We asked him to please stick to our song list until the dance portion of the night (it contained about 6 hours of music, more than we would have ever needed), but he went off-list the entire night. It wasn't a major problem; most people didn't know what was on the list, but it mattered to us. Our officiant had to stop him from playing ZZ Top during the pre-ceremony because the list we gave him was instrumental piano music only! The biggest problem to me was that Nick restarted our first dance song in the middle of the dance. Overall, he's a nice guy, but it seems like he needs more practice or training.

My husband and I hired Michael from True DJS of Dallas for our once in a lifetime wedding. Michael Roos has been awesome since day 1! We met him trying to find a DJ and ended up getting our officient as well! I was able to be a "Go with the flow" kind of bride mostly because of True DJs. He had things handled from beginning to end. From the Wedding day timeline, the ceremony, and all the way to our exit. Oh, and he is a MASTER at crowd reading and played songs he saw got the crowd moving! We hired True Djs of Dallas for our wedding in October. DJ Wiz did an amazing job, all the guests had a great time and were raving about the music! From the planning of the music to the day of the wedding, Michael and Wiz were very professional and organized. Michael Roos is the man. He's a great DJ, but the thing that really set him apart is that he helped me secretly record my own music to walk down the aisle to. I went to his studio to compose and record the music, and he mixed it so that it sounded awesome. One of the best moments of the wedding was my fiance's face when the officiant announced that the bride would be walking down to something she wrote especially for him. Cue tears from literally everyone. All the other important things for a DJ company are there too. True DJs is great at understanding event timelines, wedding flows, floorplans, and general event planning. You can save yourself some money and just use their expertise to plan your wedding. We had 110 guests and just about all of them were on the dance floor ALL NIGHT! It was everything we could have ever wanted. Michael also met with my husband and I personally two times before the wedding to go over timeline of events and preferences we had. We can't recommend True DJs of Dallas enough!!

BEST. DJ. EVER. Seriously--our first DJ double-booked and my mom contacted Michael because he is a preferred vendor at my venue. He was free on my wedding day and boy am I thankful! The first time we met, my mom and I were blown away at his wedding timeline process. He helped us form a wedding timeline and got a feel for how our wedding would flow. You get access to a website where that timeline is and get to pick songs for all of the different events. It's awesome! Michael contacted me multiple times before the wedding to check in. On my wedding day he got everything set up (hours early might I add) and from there it was perfect. He kept things running smoothly the entire night. He even mixed a song (I don't know what DJs call it) for my father/daughter dance. We did a break out dance to Thriller. It was such a pleasure to work with Michael. He truly cares about your big day and it's obvious. You finish doing business with him feeling like you've got a new hip uncle! Really--stop looking and book with True DJs of Dallas!

My sister used Michael at her wedding in 2016 and he was Phenomenal, when I started planning my wedding for 2017 the first thing I told her was I wished he could be my DJ but we were trying to keep the cost of my wedding down to use more for the Honeymoon. So instead we hired someone from the family who was supposed to take care of us but instead called THE DAY BEFORE the wedding and canceled... I was in pure panic mode because I knew being that my wedding was in a bar scene that the DJ was crucial. My sister being the lovely person she is called DJ Michael on speed dial and told him what was going on and was hoping she could surprise me with him on my day unfortunately (in a good way) he had an invite for that night but worked with her in her pricing (being the DAY BEFORE my wedding) and had one of his other DJS Nick at Night avaliable not only did he show up and show out he practiced for my wedding for 24 hours before coming just to make sure he was on point! Talk about DJS that put time and dedication into their events he also showed up 3 hours early just to make sure he had it all down. We hired him til 10 but The Groom and I made sure our crowd tipped him well and ourselves because he was such a great dj he didnt mind staying an extra 30 minutes to play music as the guest exited the venue. He was the first one on the dance floor to lead the whip and nae nae and cupid shuffle (trust me i needed his lead) lol and even grabbed the single ladies and got them on the dance floor! Of course The Groom and I made the wedding amazing but Nick at Night truely pulled this wedding together and was the icing on the CAKE!!!! MICHAEL ROOS RULES. I cannot accurately express how much I loved working with Michael and True DJ’s of Dallas. It was like talking and planning with an old friend – he’s so down to earth and is quick to understand personal (music) style. My husband and I grew up listening to everything from the 60s-80s and we knew that we, and our wedding guests, would enjoy that genre of music for the wedding. Everything he played was absolutely perfect. He was gracious enough to even download a song that my mom requested that wasn’t in his library (Mary Poppins – super obscure but meant a lot to us). From the quick and easy planning process to the day of, Michael’s services were better than anything we could have imagined. Honestly I wish we could get married again just to experience the whole process again. My favorite part? The monthly WOOOHOOO emails reminding us of our wedding countdown!

We love Michael with True DJs of Dallas!! Michael was super responsive along the way, always professional, an AWESOME DJ, and an all-around great guy. The sound equipment was top-notch and versatile, and he really kept the crowd energetic and on the dance floor the whole evening! Working with Michael Roos of True DJs of Dallas was an absolute breeze from start to finish. He was prompt to respond to my emails and extremely warm and friendly from the beginning, which made me feel comfortable right away. My (now) husband and I met with him at his studio (which is SO cool) several times before our wedding date and it was SO comforting. He's extremely experienced and you will 100% get a sense of that just from speaking with him. He's cool, calm and collected and truly listens to what you want. The website True DJs of Dallas provides for its customers is amazing and let's you customize your preferred playlist and event. It's so easy. Michael made our wedding reception run so seamlessly and for that I am forever grateful. I received so many compliments on him throughout the evening. I would 120% use True DJs of Dallas again. I couldn't have been more please with the experience I had using Michael as my DJ at the wedding. From the very first conversation we had, I knew I needed him as the DJ and when I hired him, he proceeded to exeed all of my expectations. He was so great to work with and would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

My husband and I were so lucky to have found Michael and the True DJs of Dallas. We did not get to have Michael as the actual DJ at our wedding, but he was able to recommend who would be best for us from his company. Michael was very thorough and communicative throughout the whole process. I never had a question that the music would not be just right for the event. He pays attention to detail and works with you to plan the perfect timeline for the event that also reflects your musical style and overall taste. We gave a list of recommendations for the cocktail hour and reception. All of my top requests were played and Wiz was able to get a feel for my music aesthetic and played songs that I loved and either forgot to request or hadn't heard yet. I would highly recommend using the True DJs of Dallas. You will have one less thing to worry about if you let them take care of your music.

Micheal was amazing! He officiated and was the DJ on our big day. We asked for a fun, upbeat, relaxed vibe for our wedding and he met those expectations. He had our friends and family laughing and dancing all night. He stayed in contact with me up until the big day and helped me anyway he could. I would highly recommend him for any occasion.
