Paul joined us on the California Princess which is not an easy venue to shoot. With three levels and scattered guests he was able to capture it all! Amazing job Paul!! Thank you so much, you were able to capture everything we wanted. They are just gorgeous.

True Photography & Video is the preferred vendor with our venue and we’re so happy we used them! We had Dustin as our lead videographer who was the absolute best- so funny, personable, professional, and a great hype man! We also had Pauleen as our lead photographer who was amazing as well- she listened to our vision of what we liked and disliked. We were provided with almost 3,000 photos to choose from, it’s so hard to pick our favorites! Definitely very happy and relieved we went with True.

TRUE Photography was TRULY the best (pun intended)! We got assigned Megan O as our lead photographer. As two people who have never done a photoshoot, Megan made us feel at ease during our engagement shoot at Balboa Park. From showing us what poses to do to asking us questions to get to know us, it felt like we were just hanging out with a friend. She was always open to suggestions of places we wanted to take pictures of and made us feel so comfortable. To say that the photos turned out amazing is an understatement. We received so many compliments on the photos. Between the engagement shoot and our wedding, if I had any questions and texted Megan, she always answered promptly. During the wedding, Megan was already there before the time she told us she would show up as. She is as dependable as they come. She made sure that we all looked our best before taking photos. Even though she didn't need to, she helped me put my veil on and lay out my train for photos to get the best photos possible. I can tell she truly loves this job as I saw her smiling the whole time. Megan would come up to us throughout the wedding to check in on us and ask if we wanted any additional photos. As soon as there was a crowd of people asking to take photos, Megan would magically appear to help take photos on people's phones and on her camera. From the few photos that Megan showed us, I already know that these photos will be cherished for a lifetime. I cannot write enough words to thank Megan for the amazing job she did. Bruna, our second photographer, was a total team player! In addition to being a rock star photographer who has a lot of creativity in capturing shots for us, Bruna was also our boutonniere aficionado on our wedding day. Seriously, none of us guys knew how to pin a boutonniere correctly so she had to pin it for us individually. It was a real lifesaver. Bruna also came with genuine positivity and an upbeat personality the entire time! Thank you for your photography prowess, positivity, and boutonniere pinning skills Bruna!! Alex, our videographer, was so fun and incredibly talented! He came up with some fun ideas for videos and made us and our wedding party feel comfortable. He always made sure his takes were perfect before we moved onto the next thing. Alex had a smile on his face the whole time! Even though a wedding can be so chaotic, Alex was a calming presence. He was always ready to get all the action on video and we appreciated how proactive about it. All in all, you cannot go wrong with this vendor. They are all responsive, always willing to help, and make you feel good. It's so easy to get lost in the mix of the wedding, but they truly made us feel like the day was about us. We cannot recommend them enough!

We are so happy we went with True Photography- we love that their editing style isn’t the trending color filter and that they let us see every single photo that was taken. Getting an accurate quote using their website was so easy and straightforward. We opted for “new talent” and with a military discount, we were able to add a second shooter which was 100% worth it!. Jen H was our main photographer and she was fantastic at taking to heart what we told her about family being everything to us - she went out of her way to make sure we got all the shots on the extensive family photos list, and even took the time to take couples portraits of my grandparents and my aunt & uncle since it was also their anniversary! She was great at directing the family, was firm when she needed to be but friendly & smiling the entire time to keep the timeline rolling. She was great at getting the kiddos to look at the camera too, and was ALL IN when we told her we wanted to do a water gun exit! The photos came out great and we are so happy we had Jen to be a part of our day. Thank you to the second shooter who captured so many special moments that we missed!

Dustin and Pauleen were truly one of a kind. The photos and videos are amazing, the quality of work they put out is truly unmatched. Thank you for helping make our event magical and capturing all the amazing moments and making it so easy on all of us!

There aren't enough superlatives in my vocabulary to express how impressed, amazed, and completely satisfied I am with TRUE videography. They filmed our wedding, and subsequently created the most impactful, creative, memorable, and impossibly beautiful wedding video I could imagine. I've seen alot of wedding videos, but nothing anybody else does comes close to TRUE. Brandon Feldman is amazing at his job, as are the entire staff. I cannot express my thanks enough for how incredibly well they performed and the end product was beyond my wildest dreams in perfection. If you want a wedding video that will blow you away and one that you will cherish for your entire life, hire True for your wedding. Their attention to detail is stunning, and their craftsmanship in making the cut video was beyond comprehension. They're miracle workers!

Good professionalism, communication wasn't great but wish could have been better. I didn't know who my photo person was till it felt a bit later and the persons style was a bit different then what I thought. We told him we wanted the water area, castle/building, and hills and green. But he spoke of this one tree and that's where we take photos but we couldn't figure it out. On day of our wedding it just felt not what we wanted and not the vibe. The photos all turned out amazing and great and good time frame. The company and photos are amazing! Wish the photographer who we got would have followed our ideas more. The style was what we wanted perfectly. Some photos we really wanted felt rushed (aka by the water) and the ones the photographer wanted felt like took forever. All in all just make sure the style is what you want and maybe be more controlling depending on who it is you get at the company.

We are so thankful for True Photography and Video. I have to say it was a little different working with a team of people instead on one photographer and one videographer, but it worked out wonderfully! It was actually better to have a team of people helping rather than one. They were excellent at communication on our every need. They were so easy to work with, eager for the business, thankful and upbeat throughout the entire process. When it came close to our wedding we were introduced to our wonderful photographer who went above and beyond since we were introduced. He was early (one his own time) to our wedding and communicated effectively throughout the day. The videographer also went above and beyond. The two of them complimented each other very well, especially since they had never met! True photography and video upheld every promise they made. We received our photos and videos early and all of the raw footage. I would definitely recommend them as this was the best wedding vendor we hired! Thank you again and again.

This company has a customer portal and offer a payment plan, which can be helpful if other vendors are requesting large sums all at once. Personally, I had a lot of frustrations with how this company handled communication leading up to the event, how our photographer struggled to handle the craziness of a wedding day and a lack of creativity. I expressed my frustrations to the company and they did offer a solution.

I have used True on numerous occasions but the most recent was my wedding and I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. Avalon was my photographer and she absolutely blew not only my husband and I away, but even our guests commented on how her friendly demeanor made taking photos so comfortable and fun. Avalon is so talented and our photos are EXACTLY what I told her that I wanted. She captured every moment that she knew was important to me. I am forever grateful to Avalon and True Photography for giving me these amazing moments to cherish forever. They are the absolute best in the business!

We loved working with Myong, Dustin, Aaron and the entire True Photography team! Myong was our videographer for our wedding and he did an amazing job. He was so fun and professional to work with. Aaron at true photography was the best! He helped with all the questions and was super knowledgeable. They had even worked at the venue before so he and the photographer knew all the spots! I would highly recommend them. They are so organized and friendly and every picture came out wonderful!

We booked True for both engagement + wedding day photos, and after looking through their extensive list of shooters, we selected Avalon to be our lead. Being that you spend the majority of your big day with the photographer, having someone that we connected with was super important to us - and Avalon just blew us away! She is the perfect combination of hype gal, diplomat (when the bridal party needed wrangling), and pro! The absolute best!!! Our lead photographer Voytek was incredible, very professional, artistic, and gave immaculate direction for our photos. I’m usually very camera shy but he made me feel very comfortable and beautiful in the way he gave direction for each photo. We found True Photography and Video during COVID times and yet they made everything so easy for us from the very beginning. I felt so reassured before and the day-of-the-wedding. I loved how they communicated with me along the way and reconfirmed everything to make sure we were all on the same page. During the wedding, they captured everything so beautifully and you can tell they have done this for years. Once I received the pictures and videos, absolutely WOW!!!! 1. They were easy to communicate with via email and were prompt in responding back. We liked how you can customize your photography package to your budget and can always add to it later via the client portal. True Photography was a dream vendor! My sister had used them for her wedding and we had zero doubts that we would use them for ours as well. Our initial phone call with the owner, Aaron, was so helpful and their portal made adding anything additional super easy!! Our lead photographer at our wedding was Avalon and she was amazing!!! Our wedding guests loved how she could be found everywhere and did not miss a shot! Her fun and easy going personality made pictures super comfortable!! Aaron, Avalon (our wedding day photographer), and the entire True Photography staff were amazing to work with. They are professional, knowledgeable, and personable. They knew our venue (SSF) and had great ideas/places to shoot pictures, etc. Our wedding was postponed twice (read three separate wedding dates) due to the global covid pandemic. Aaron and his staff were so easy to work with and were very reasonable. Our contract for both photography and videography was honored even though pricing was from 2019 and the wedding happened in 2022 (which I can say our catering did not honor the original contract) which we greatly appreciated! They are responsive and communicative. On the day of the wedding Avalon, our photographer, came early to look around our getting ready site (airbnb venue) to find spots for the getting ready pictures. She was fun to work with and had great personality. Her assistant Robby (?spelling) was also great. We are in love with all of our pictures!! I appreciate Avalon's attention to detail for the pictures. She can't control the wind but the veil, the dress, angles, etc. she was great at looking out for the details. The pictures are absolutely stunning! All of our friends and family are also in love with the pictures. They captured the day so beautifully and I cannot say thank you enough to Aaron, Avalon, Robby, and the rest of the staff at True Photography!!! If we got to do it all over again we would 100% book True Photography again!!

Wow! If you're looking for great photographers, look no further. We booked True Photography for our wedding back in September 2019. Our original wedding date needed to be pushed back (stupid Covid), but True Photography made the transition easy and seamless. We were assigned Avalon R. as our lead photographer. She took our engagement photos and did a phenomenal job! We brought our two elderly Yorkies with us to the photoshoot, which I'm sure wasn't easy, but Avalon was amazing. She was down on her stomach making sure to capture super cute pictures of our babies. Avalon was also our lead photographer for our wedding, and Sam was our second shooter. I can't even tell you how many comments we got from family and other guests about how amazing they were. They made all of us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Avalon especially went above and beyond. She was moving furniture, cleaning up our messy bridal suite, making silly noises to get our new puppy to look at the camera, and she even helped sew a button back on my dress when it popped off while I was getting ready! We just got our pictures back (over 3,500!) and I can't wait to sit down and go over them all. Our sneak peek photos are incredible, and I know the rest will be amazing, too. Thank you SO MUCH to Avalon, Sam, and the rest of the True Photography team. It was a pleasure working with you all!!

True Photography is SD county's premier wedding photography service, and it is easy to see why as soon as you start the process. They are very responsive, and in fact the CEO, Aaron, called us right after we put in an inquiry to learn more about what we were looking for and he could rattle off when sunset would be at our venue on the date of our wedding without a second thought. He was very honest about their services and never tried to up-sell us which is always a plus. We went with both their engagement and wedding package, which I do recommend for anyone looking for a photographer as the engagement photoshoot will give you a good idea if you like your photographer and their style for the actual wedding. (Side note: we chose the "choose our photographer" for us option for the actual wedding as it came at a discount and we felt all of their photographers were excellent, but True Photography made sure to match us with the same photographer we had for the engagement regardless, which was a huge bonus because we loved her.) Our actual primary photographer Megan Ousset is the best in the world and we would highly highly highly recommend her to anyone. She has such amazing energy, makes you feel so comfortable and is such a genuinely lovely person to work with. We would gladly be friends with her, that's how awesome she is. We got so many compliments from our wedding guests about what a great photographer she was and how comfortable she made everyone feel. Megan is great at taking creative candid photos and staged photos so that they feel fresh and are really tailored to enhance our best features. She gives great direction so there is never any awkward posing or silences, and really maximizes time so that you are not left feeling like you are missing any shots. We would also like to thank Katie who was assistant photographer on the day of, as she was also excellent-- she worked very well with Megan to ensure we got all the shots in all the angles possible. Both were extremely professional and worked well with our videography vendor, always checking in to make sure that they also got the shots they needed. And finally, can I just say that True Photography's customer service is really on point? They have a very easy to use, sleek database so it is easy to download/share your photos and search for vendors. While putting in the vendors that we used, I noticed that there were several vendors that weren't on their list that I wanted to recognize. They were very quick to add them into the system and are actually working on creating a tattoo vendor option just because I asked for one! Even though they are a large company, they feel very personal and intimate and are truly passionate about their craft. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a reputable, professional, and efficient photography service.

True Photography was amazing to work with! Aaron was beyond personal and professional from the very first phone call all the way through the planning process! We originally had our wedding planned for Coronado in October 2021 and decided to move it to our family farm in Michigan with Covid. Aaron was so helpful and accommodating with making changes and figuring out the travels plans to make the Michigan destination possible. Before our large Michigan wedding, we did a small Coronado ceremony which Jenny T. did a great job capturing! We had Jennifer H for both our engagement photos and Michigan wedding....LOVE her! I have no words to express the professionalism from our photographer Avalon - She was amazing! Aaron from True Photography was so kind and helpful during our wedding planning. I had so much anxiety being a Covid bride and having to reschedule our wedding once, but Aaron was so accommodating and wonderful throughout the whole process. We received a phone call from our photographer, Amber, about a month before our big day and she was extremely diligent in making sure we had all the pictures we wanted from our wedding. She knew what time sunset was going to be the night of our wedding and made sure we got our "golden hour" pictures. They were also very efficient with sending us our gallery within a timely manner and when we saw the results of the entirety of our wedding day, Shaun and I were amazed at how much thought, time, and effort Amber and Emily (our second photographer) put into making our photos reflect how beautiful and amazing the night was. Everyone told me to soak up each moment because everything will be a blur and we were thrilled to be reliving our wedding through our gallery. Our lead photographer was Tatiana and we are extremely happy with the photos! We got our highlight photos for our wedding in a week and can’t wait to see the rest of the photos. Tatiana was extremely professional and very detail oriented. Aaron was really helpful in addressing many of our questions as well. Book them. Seriously. Book with True Photography- I would not describe my husband and I as photogenic. Sure, we occasionally get lucky with a good picture but more often than not, my eyes are closed, our faces are scrunched or awkward and one of us is looking in the wrong direction. Nearly all of our wedding photos look like they could be in a magazine. I keep looking at them because I cannot believe how beautifully they turned out. I have to actively prevent myself from being that annoying person that posts all of my wedding photos on social media. They are simply stunning. Aaron was so professional and personable. When our lead photographer was sick and unable to shoot our wedding, Aaron immediately set us up with another amazing photographer. Hiring True Photography to take photos of our wedding was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process. Aaron was so helpful and kind throughout the entire process. He is thorough in his plans and answered every question that came up along the way. Now on to my actual photographers for the day, Tatiana and Michael. Our wedding was last weekend, and while it’s too early to see the pictures that were taken, a 5 star review is definitely in order! Paul Douda was our day of photographer and I honestly can’t speak highly enough of him! He was punctual, had a great sense of humor, and was very good at his job. All extremely important qualities in a wedding photographer. He was patient with a group of 13 in our wedding party, some of which had a few cocktails waiting for the pictures to start. He gently commanded attention and was able to wrangle everyone quickly into position. He had a sense of humor about it and never hesitated to laugh with us, or at us. He made the often times awkwardness of taking posed wedding pictures so much less uncomfortable, and had us laughing often. Aside from the actual getting married part, he truly made our Wedding Day amazing, even at one point offering to help my sister find the hooks to bustle my dress. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and I can not WAIT to see the amazing photography from our Wedding day. A huge thank you to Paul and True Photography!

My Husband Alec and I had the pleasure of having Pete N and Megan D shoot our wedding a few weeks ago! They arrived at our location with great energy and a distinct professionalism that they carried throughout our entire day. The patience they had with all the wedding craziness and the eclectic group of people we call family, was incredible. Pete and Megan were extremely fun to work with and they provided great direction for the best photos possible. After receiving our GORGEOUS sneak peek photos we are extremely happy with how they turned out and are so excited to view the rest of them!

I can't say enough good things about True Photography. They are such a pleasure to work with right from the start. During planning, when I was searching through options, Aaron called me personally and patiently went through all of my questions. We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and the team helped us through it effortlessly. It was so great to interact with a business that truly cares about the people they serve. Now on to the big day! Avalon was our lead photographer and Jamie was the assistant photographer, they both were so great! Avalon was like a masterful wizard navigating the chaos that is a wedding day :) She made sure to routinely check in with me on time and she was always on it, making sure my hair and dress weren't out of place. We all began calling her the honorary bridesmaid! I had multiple guests relay compliments to me about both Avalon and Jamie. Also we wanted to take some off site photos on the beach during out first look and Avalon had gone to the beach prior to the event and talked to the surfers to find a great spot for us. After the wedding we got our highlights within the week. We were blown away! Such beautiful photos! Let me tell you if you feel awkward posing in a position or angle that's going to be your favorite one when you see the final product. Do the strange pose! 100% would recommend to anyone who's looking for a great photographer!

Aaron and Michael from true photography hit it out of the park! From the beginning we had a meeting with Aaron and his awesome personality and professionalism made it such an easy decision for us to go with true photography. We saw true photography everywhere we went after we hired them! At almost every cake tasting we went to, in our venue’s lobby area, even in the dress shops I went to! It was a sign that we picked the right place cause not only were the pictures gorgeous, but they definitely are well known amongst a lot of vendors! Michael was so fun during the wedding day and he made everything enjoyable and less stressful. We have beautiful pictures because of true photography and we can’t thank them enough! We would highly recommend them for your wedding photos!

Cannot say enough about this experience with True Photography. We had a quick turnaround for a last minute elopement in a city we both didn’t live in and turned to True Photography to make magic for us on our special day! The photographer we were matched with knocked it out from the park from the first time we talked on the phone to the moment we departed ways on the big day! She made us feel at ease and went with the flow on an especially windy day with an especially fussy baby in tow as well! We got the sneak peek in just a few short days and we were all in awe of what we received. Absolutely captured the day perfectly and can’t wait to see the rest of them!!

True Photography is absolutely AMAZING! We hired them when we booked our wedding in CA. Soon after booking our venue, COVID happened and we postponed our wedding as well as moved it to TX and True Photography was accommodating and incredible to work with. We ended up flying out our photographer to TX and Jen did a wonderful and thoughtful job with rehearsal as well as wedding photos. Aaron and Jen reached out several times before the wedding to answer our questions, check in with us, and offer support. HANDS DOWN BEST DECISION! True Photography was our first vendor we hired for our wedding and I'm so glad we did! Working with Aaron & the True Photography team had been an absolute pleasure. True Photography was AMAZING! As soon as I got off the phone with Aaron, I knew that I wanted to work with True Photography. Aaron was so nice, very responsive, and gave me great suggestions (due to COVID we had to, of course, change our original wedding plans). My husband and I hired a different vendor for our engagement photos and it was such an uncomfortable experience so we were a little bit nervous about our wedding photos. However, I’m so glad we hired True Photography. Joey was our lead photographer and Leah our second photographer. They made us feel so comfortable and took BEAUTIFUL photos! Joey is very talented, organized, responsive, and personable. I look forward to hiring True Photography for future events. I would HIGHLY recommend hiring True Photography!

They saved our COVID Wedding!!! We initially hired another photographer. 4 DAYS before our wedding, we got a text that they couldn't come because they tested positive for COVID! :( We were scrambling to find a last minute replacement and were so fortunate to find True Photography! Aaron, the owner, is awesome!! He was on the phone with me past 9 PM to make sure that we were taken care of. Now is that phenomenal service or what!!! Our photographer was Jennifer H who is an absolute GEM! She is so talented and so confident in leading us on what to do and how to pose that it made the day way less stressful and we had so much fun shooting with her! Our photos came out better than we expected! They made us look so good, like it was straight out of a magazine!! Bottomline is they provide excellent communication, top-notch professionalism, & breathtaking photos!! I have already recommended them to a couple friends and will continue to do so!

Amazing. Super flexible extremely professional, friendly, lovely. I could not recommend these folks any more! They did my H&M for my wedding, my mom, and accommodated add ons last minute for my bridal party. Rosie and Amy are wonderful, Dina is awesome too! Any event in the future I will SURELY book them again. They are in a very good price range and do amazing work. Also very covid clean and sanitary. Absolutley AMAZING. Aaron was very helpful while we were trying to navigate what to do when COVID hit. the photographers we had were awesome. on time. professional, fun and so friendly! all of our photos from the day of are just stunning. I reccomend these guys to anyone who wants top quality photos, and not having to worry if a photographer has to back out, because Aaron will replace them with someone just as amazing. if you're thinking about booking these guys, do it.

Even with many obstacles, including one postponement, a pandemic, and 113 degree weather on the wedding day, True Photography went above and beyond to help pull it off in the best way possible. Aaron Feldman, the owner, went out of his way to clear up a misunderstanding on the pricing when we had to reschedule. If they can make us so happy with the many obstacles we faced, imagine what they will do in a normal scenario! Lea, our photographer was a warrior in the 113 degree heat and she knows every inch of the 35-acre Estate in Fallbrook where the wedding was held. True Photography even provided first-rate videographer services with their partner company. Book True Photography for your special day! They won’t disappoint!

We loved the staff at True Photography. They are easy to work with, timely with their responses and truly genuine people who make your wedding day/or event perfect. Jennifer was our lead photographer and she was so easy and fun to work with. We recently received all of our photos back and we were blown away by the incredible shots she took and every little detail. There were a lot of moments I wasn't apart of, and I started getting chills getting to "experience" what the ceremony/reception was like in our guests eyes. Amazing work. I cannot recommend True enough!

I've never been so excited to write a review in my entire life. We were lucky enough to have Dustin as our lead photographer and Leah as our second photographer. I cannot stress enough how important it is that your photographers on your wedding day are just as wonderful as people as they are professional at their job and these two are THE DREAM TEAM. We had plenty of phone meetings, but when they arrived and we met in person, it was like I had known them for years. A good photographer makes you feel comfortable and effortless behind the camera. Think about it. Posing parents, siblings, wedding parties, flower girls, ring bearers, DOGS (omg, a miracle), and the bride and groom themselves all just magically meshing together posing perfectly no matter what without taking a crazy amount of time? IMPOSSIBLE. It doesn't happen with a photographer that just shows up no matter how great their work may LOOK on their perfectly hand chosen highlighted website! BUT the impossible DOES happen with Dustin and Leah BECAUSE of their warmth and also being killer at their job. They were so professional and smart. They captured each and every photo I wanted without me even having to make sure that they did. I was so worried about certain backgrounds not looking great, but Dustin and Leah went and found a beautiful background for photos that I swear to you, was not there in my eyes before they got there! But when they showed me I was in awe. How many photographers do you know truly scout a location to make sure you don't miss any beauty at your wedding? So many photographers would just find the basics (which is what I was finding), but this team went above and beyond for me. Dustin even fixed my hair for a photo which I highly appreciated because I can't tell you how many times I've seen wedding photos and hair is in someone's face, someones tux is folded up, or a flower girl's shoe fell off, haha! Their creativity, eye for perfection, and professionalism are unmatched. Your wedding day truly does go by so incredibly fast and it's important to have those memorable moments captured by professionals who make you feel comfortable so that the photos look like you were simply having the best day of your life without any awkward posing or nonsense. Natural moments of pure joy are our photos but they look so planned. My husband and I could not have chosen a better company. Everyone at my wedding was talking about how great our photographers were. They are a team of photographers, and I'm sure that anyone from True Photography we would have chosen would have given us these results. But I am biased, so I will say when you book them, and you should like right now...ask for Dustin and Leah ;) I will add here that we had Ryan as our videographer through Tidal Wedding Films because these two INCREDIBLE companies are connected and SO EASILY bookable and affordable together and I can't recommend these three ENOUGH. The perfect trio, they meshed SO well and we all had a blast together and I haven't stopped looking at our photos since I got them back. I will say that compared to a lot of other photographers I looked at, their price is WAY more affordable than most and the quality of work FAR exceeds that price point. If you are looking for pricing that makes sense, photographers who care about the quality of their work, your happiness on your wedding day, and feeling confident throughout that entire day and every time you look at pictures afterwards, then look no further!
