it to allow for optimal viewing of gowns during selection from the racks and during try-on. The fitting rooms and seating areas were spacious. The staff was extremely friendly, especially Lauren, my stylist. Lauren really listened to what I liked about my “top dresses” at the previous shops (I provided photos on my iPad), and she helped me find the perfect dress! I stayed within budget (I didn’t try anything that was over my stated budget), and I never felt pressured or rushed into making a decision. After finding the dress, we were offered champagne or sparkling cider, and I had a bit of time to take a few photos in my dress and a few accessories. Both my mom and I really LOVED our experience at True Society and would HIGHLY recommend! Some logistics: Lauren helped me get in and out of dresses very efficiently! After saying yes-to-the-dress, we were asked to provide half of the dress payment upfront, and the second half would be due at dress pick-up. I had my stylist and a second staff member take my measurements to ensure the best size was ordered for me. When the dress arrived at the shop (a month early - yay!), I was notified via text and was easily able to make a pick-up appointment. My mom ended up picking up my dress the day before we initially planned to and that was no problem at all. The staff were friendly and accommodating during the try-on and at pick-up!

my appointment. I also needed two appointments, because I have both a mom and a step-mom that are both super important to me. But I needed both to not know about the other appointment and the team pretended like it was my first time with each mom! I found the perfect dress thanks to the team listening to what I was looking for and finding the perfect one for my style and body. Don't go anywhere else in KCMO!

prior to my appointment to get more information about what size I was, what style of dress I was wanting, what my budget was, who would be coming with me, etc. I loved the feature with the link to upload images of dresses I was using as inspiration. I feel like that helped the stylist see my vision. After going back through my inspiration pictures, I actually ended up choosing one of the exact dresses I had taken a picture of but didn't end up uploading to the link. My stylist, Emily, listened to what I did and didn't like about certain dresses and was able to pick out other gowns within my parameters. I was unsure about which silhouette of dress I wanted, as I was torn between 2 different ones, and she helped narrow it down. I honestly didn't know which silhouette I was going to choose until I had it on. Emily was very transparent about dress prices as I originally went in for the sample sale. When it wasn't love for any of the samples, she started bringing in other dresses she thought I might like based on my feedback. Before I even put on "the one," she showed me the price tag, knowing it was over what I was wanting to spend and asked if I still wanted to try it on. I appreciated her being upfront with me prior to even getting the dress on my person. My wedding isn't for another year and a half, and I asked about delaying the ordering process due to me wanting to lose weight and with it being so far out, I was nervous that my weight would fluctuate too much between now and then. Emily was able to put in the order comments that I was going to come at a later date for measurements to ensure the dress would fit when the time comes. It's been over a week since I went shopping and I've looked at pictures of my dress every day since then and can't wait to wear it on my wedding day!

p to a ten. As soon as I walked in, every single person working was up front and super welcoming to me and my party. I also did not think I was going to find my dress, the first place I looked. My consultant, Megan, helped me figure out what I was looking for, and even brought a few options I didn’t think I would like. She also calmed my nerves and made me feel good about being the center of attention and my party also loved her! The amazing news, I found THE dress! Megan also made sure to give me options in my budget, and explained each designer and the collections. I will ALWAYS recommend True Society to anyone who asks!

trying to make a sale. The store itself has the perfect setup for a dramatic reveal for each dress which really made me as a bride feel so special.

vision. As I tried dresses on, she did a wonderful job of listening to my feedback and narrowing down the selection of dresses until we found the perfect one for me. She also did a great job of picking accessories for my dress, and one of the veils she showed me was so stunning that it sold me on buying my dress there without having to go to any other bridal shops. The shop is so classy and tastefully decorated, and the seating area was very comfortable for my mom and maid of honor. The selection of dresses fits a wide variety of budgets and styles, and I could have spent hours trying on all of the dresses because they were so stunning. There was no pressure to buy a dress on the spot, and the ordering and pick-up process was easy. I did order rush shipping on my dress, but I probably did not need to do so because my dress arrived much earlier than anticipated. Overall, I loved my dress-shopping process at True Society and recommend the Crossroads location for KC-area brides!

onderful. Extremely sweet and patient as I tried on nine dresses in my 90 minute appointment. She let me pick out the first four, and then continued to pull dresses after my feedback on each one. She really listened and I fully trusted her. Also, the store setup is so smart. You never have to walk from a dressing room to the mirrors/your party. You get dressed in an adorable, large dressing room behind a huge set of curtains, standing on a pedestal facing a trio of mirrors so you can fully see yourself from all angles, and then you turn around and they pull the curtain open to reveal each dress to your party. It's the perfect amount of drama to get your party's first reactions. Absolutely recommend the entire experience!

She had already pulled some dresses based on pictures I sent in and then was able to almost read my mind when I did a complete 180 on what I was looking for and put together the perfect dress, jacket and veil combo.

She made my daughter feel at ease and comfortable from the beginning to the end of our appointment. She was extremely knowledgeable about every dress my daughter tried on (colors the dress could be ordered in, latest trends, tailoring/alteration options etc. etc.). I really can't say enough good things about her and our experience in the Kansas City True Society store. I highly recommend!!

our budget into account. They let you walk around the store and pick dresses that speak to you straight from the rack, so they aren't pressuring you at all, but rather providing helpful suggestions. The staff is so great as well! They sent me a card wedding week, which was the sweetest touch. Definitely go to True Society!

ad been to several other stores where they made me nervous about a dress arriving in time if I didn't order *that day* or kept showing me dresses that were nothing like the dresses I described being interested in. However, the team at True Society was INCREDIBLE. They genuinely listened to me and were incredibly thoughtful in the dresses that they pulled, while listening to my feedback every step of the way. They helped me find the dress of my dreams and made me feel so supported during the process! They were incredible and I had the best experience with them. I would highly recommend them!

I found my dress and veil there, and went back to purchase earrings and a hair piece. The process was easy, the gown selection was amazing, and the people were fantastic. 100% recommend True Society for brides of all sizes.

My mom’s idea of a dress for me was quite different from my taste to say the least. Morgan picked up on this and made me feel comfortable and never stressed. So many beautiful dresses, but how to choose? I felt genuinely special when Morgan complimented me and it never felt forced or scripted from her. I want to be her friend in real life! The staff was super nice and helpful throughout the process. They had a large selection with quite a few budget options. I absolutely loved my dress- it was the perfect combo of two other dresses I'd tried on at other shops- one had sleeves, and another had leaves in the pattern. This one had BOTH! Meant to be :)

utiful shop - even if you don’t find THE dress, the kindness, passion, and professionalism of the staff at TSBVB will help make knowing what you’re looking for a lot more clear/concise. For the record, I DID find my wedding dress here, and it was EVERYTHING I hoped it would be. It also looked NOTHING like what I thought I would buy, and I owe that to the expertise of my bridal stylist, Molly. I started wedding dress shopping thinking I knew exactly what I wanted, but every time I put on a dress that matched those ideas it just didn’t feel right. And after having already visited another shop and leaving empty-handed and then spending a good amount of time at TSBVB trying everything on that I thought I wanted, I was kind of over the whole thing. When Molly asked if she could put me in one more dress, that she openly admitted didn’t tick any of the design boxes I’d asked for, I figured one more “no” wouldn’t’ kill me to try on; especially considering how fun, kind and patient Molly had been with me during my appointment. And of course, the dress I thought would be just another “no” was THE yes! It was THE dress that I’d been looking for all day! Molly knew what I wanted even better than I did, but she never once tried to put me in a dress I didn’t like or couldn’t afford. She also paid very close attention to what I did and didn’t like about each dress I tried on before she ever suggested something herself. She made me feel comfortable and gorgeous and calm (none of which are easy to do to/for me), and she gave great feedback and advice. And on the big day, the compliment I kept getting over and over again was just how authentically me the gown was - something I will forever be grateful for! True Society was the very first step in my wedding journey and they stuck it out with me all the way to the end result - From shopping to purchasing to picking up and even through alterations, the process was smooth, easy, and fun. I cannot thank or recommend them enough!

y had no idea what they were doing. The told me my mom could pay over the phone. When she called they were unable to find my name and when they did they tried to charge her a higher amount. The person over the phone made no attempt to fix it. So I had to call and get fixed. When my mom called back they were unable to take her payment over the phone had to do it by an app and my mom couldn't figure it out. So I had to pay and I had to call back and get a receipt. You would think they would automatically send one. Nope. It's just one little thing after another. I just wanted to order my dress and be done with them. I had originally planned on ordering my dress in May. But due ti my issues I wanted to go ahead and order it. When I finally purchased itI had to ask them again to order it now. They just wanted a sale but no service once they got their money. You talk to a different person every time you call. They told me due to my issues they would have champagne and lite snacks. To make it extra special and they also told me Molly(the consultant) would be there as well. I called before I picked up my dress to make sure. They again had no notes in my account. When I arrived I there was just one bottle of champagne. I know its little stuff. But its the little stuff that matters when I am spending a lot of money. Would I recommend True Society? No. Unorganized and staff needs trained. Due to the issues this store tarnished my experience.

ng experience was all I had ever dreamed it would be! Dress & veil both came in quicker than I had been quoted when I ordered, & everything was absolutely perfect. They have a huge selection based on your price or designer preference, they truly have a dress for everyone! Not to mention their frequent trunk shows ensure you're able to get your favorite designer's newest dresses at the best prices!

line. They were more than happy to have me come back in and try on dresses again. I without a doubt have found my dream dress and Mariah was the best! She made me feel beautiful and genuinely listened to me about my thoughts and each dress. I had a strict budget and she honored that and never showed me a dress outside of it! Love, love, love this place!

Aubin showed me different ways we could add more color. After my appointment I received updates on the status of my dress order. From there as a i picked apart the smallest details and that I loved or hated they were able to continue to bring me dresses until I found my perfect dress. I found my dress and had another appointment elsewhere, so I didn’t say yes immediately. But after the second appointment, we went right back to True Society and said yes to the dress that same day!
