True Society by Belle Vogue Bridal – Kansas City

This was my 3rd bridal shop that I visited. We were a bit early to our appointment, but we were still greeted right away and offered a seat and water. The shop was clean and well lit to allow for optimal viewing of gowns during selection from the racks and during try-on. The fitting rooms and seating areas were spacious. The staff was extremely friendly, especially Lauren, my stylist. Lauren really listened to what I liked about my “top dresses” at the previous shops (I provided photos on my iPad), and she helped me find the perfect dress! I stayed within budget (I didn’t try anything that was over my stated budget), and I never felt pressured or rushed into making a decision. After finding the dress, we were offered champagne or sparkling cider, and I had a bit of time to take a few photos in my dress and a few accessories. Both my mom and I really LOVED our experience at True Society and would HIGHLY recommend! Some logistics: Lauren helped me get in and out of dresses very efficiently! After saying yes-to-the-dress, we were asked to provide half of the dress payment upfront, and the second half would be due at dress pick-up. I had my stylist and a second staff member take my measurements to ensure the best size was ordered for me. When the dress arrived at the shop (a month early - yay!), I was notified via text and was easily able to make a pick-up appointment. My mom ended up picking up my dress the day before we initially planned to and that was no problem at all. The staff were friendly and accommodating during the try-on and at pick-up!

This was an Excellent Experience that I will never forget. The Ladies at True Society made the day so special for me and my 5 bridesmaids. True Society is the True Bridal Salon!

Dresses started at above my price range. Although the attendant helping me were nice, I felt kind of rushed and was almost pushed to buying a dress I didn’t totally love. It was a great experience, but not the best experience.

Emily and the entire team at True Society were absolutely incredible to me! The lead up to my appointment was perfectly executed, making me feel very prepared and informed before my appointment. I also needed two appointments, because I have both a mom and a step-mom that are both super important to me. But I needed both to not know about the other appointment and the team pretended like it was my first time with each mom! I found the perfect dress thanks to the team listening to what I was looking for and finding the perfect one for my style and body. Don't go anywhere else in KCMO!

I had such a great experience at True Society searching for my dress! They had been recommended to me by multiple people, including my sister-in-law. They called me a couple weeks prior to my appointment to get more information about what size I was, what style of dress I was wanting, what my budget was, who would be coming with me, etc. I loved the feature with the link to upload images of dresses I was using as inspiration. I feel like that helped the stylist see my vision. After going back through my inspiration pictures, I actually ended up choosing one of the exact dresses I had taken a picture of but didn't end up uploading to the link. My stylist, Emily, listened to what I did and didn't like about certain dresses and was able to pick out other gowns within my parameters. I was unsure about which silhouette of dress I wanted, as I was torn between 2 different ones, and she helped narrow it down. I honestly didn't know which silhouette I was going to choose until I had it on. Emily was very transparent about dress prices as I originally went in for the sample sale. When it wasn't love for any of the samples, she started bringing in other dresses she thought I might like based on my feedback. Before I even put on "the one," she showed me the price tag, knowing it was over what I was wanting to spend and asked if I still wanted to try it on. I appreciated her being upfront with me prior to even getting the dress on my person. My wedding isn't for another year and a half, and I asked about delaying the ordering process due to me wanting to lose weight and with it being so far out, I was nervous that my weight would fluctuate too much between now and then. Emily was able to put in the order comments that I was going to come at a later date for measurements to ensure the dress would fit when the time comes. It's been over a week since I went shopping and I've looked at pictures of my dress every day since then and can't wait to wear it on my wedding day!

True Society is THE best place to find your wedding dress! Every part of the process was easy and straightforward. Your consultant will reach out to you on the phone the week of the appointment, introduce herself, get to know you and who you are bringing, ask what you are looking for, and then send you a link to upload photos of your dream dress and answer other questions related to finding your dress. Then when you get to the shop, you are kindly greeted and checked in. We had an upgraded appointment (which I highly recommend) to where we went upstairs to a bigger fitting room with champagne and desserts! That made our appointment even more fun! Shoutout to the gal who went around a few times giving us refills if we needed ☺️ Then my fabulous consultant, Kate, came and took some photos of me and my group that I wanted to help remember the day. She met everyone in my group and then we went downstairs to pull some dresses. She definitely remembered what I was going for and offered great advice and direction. She had an extensive knowledge of all the dresses in the shop which was very impressive! All of these ladies know their stuff! Then we went back upstairs to try on the dresses. Kate did a fantastic job of making sure I was comfortable, happy, and having fun! She listened to both what I liked and didn’t like and made adjustments accordingly. The appointment seemed to go by so fast since I was having such a great time! By the end though, she had pulled a dress I didn’t even think of that I fell in love with and said yes to! That was so helpful because there are so many dresses to choose from and such little time. Definitely listen to your consultant because they are the professional! At the end, they did a fantastic job of letting us take photos and then giving us important details on when the dress would arrive etc. I couldn’t recommend True Society more! All of the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, complimentary, and professional! Huge shoutout to Kate as well for helping me find my dream dress ❤️

I'm a jean size 18 bride and was really nervous about dress shopping and mother in law treated us to a VIP appointment with True Society. My stylist was Mary. I feel like I can't even put into words on what a great time I had. They call you a few days before and ask for your story and what dreams you have for the big day and then they'll send a link for you to upload your own inspo pics. The VIP experience felt so luxurious! The champagne and the snacks were top notch! I loved that my guest had something to enjoy while I had some one on one time with my stylist. Mary had picked three dresses for me based on my inspo and then she and I took a stroll around and she let me tell her what I loved and pull anything else I was interersted in. The one on one really was key. I loved my friends I had with me, but I'm so grateful they prioritized me as the bride over everything else. The dress I ended up saying YES to was actually the first dress Mary had pulled for me before I even got there!! Mary was AMAZING at seeing my vision and helping me bring it to life. She was always once step ahead of me ready to add a veil that matched the same lace or fabric patterns. She was quick to make sure I understood what could change or could be different and what it would look like bustled. Encouraging me to look the dress with hair up and down. You could just feel how much Mary wanted to me to find the one. I just felt so comfortable with her and ended up spilling my life story...she was just SO easy to talk to. felt so beautiful and catered to! The whole team made sure I felt like a bride from start to finish. Other stylists were always popping in and hyping you up. The vibes of the entire place was AMAZING. The dressing room spaces are set up so perfect. They really have the whole process down if you trust them. I can't recommend True Society and Mary enough. Absolute 10 out of 10 experience.

I was a nervous wreck going in for my appointment. I have never been dress shopping of any kind and with my party with me and hating being the center of attention, my nerves were up to a ten. As soon as I walked in, every single person working was up front and super welcoming to me and my party. I also did not think I was going to find my dress, the first place I looked. My consultant, Megan, helped me figure out what I was looking for, and even brought a few options I didn’t think I would like. She also calmed my nerves and made me feel good about being the center of attention and my party also loved her! The amazing news, I found THE dress! Megan also made sure to give me options in my budget, and explained each designer and the collections. I will ALWAYS recommend True Society to anyone who asks!

I had such a great time shopping here for my wedding dress. The girls were all so helpful and supportive. They really paid attention to details to be able to help find the perfect dress for me! Highly recommend coming here!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING EXPERIENCE!!! They listened to my vision and feedback on the dresses, and I never once felt pressured to make a decision or that they were trying to make a sale. The store itself has the perfect setup for a dramatic reveal for each dress which really made me as a bride feel so special.

Megan at True Society was an incredible stylist! I gave her a description of the type of dress I was looking for, and she immediately selected several beautiful dresses that fit my vision. As I tried dresses on, she did a wonderful job of listening to my feedback and narrowing down the selection of dresses until we found the perfect one for me. She also did a great job of picking accessories for my dress, and one of the veils she showed me was so stunning that it sold me on buying my dress there without having to go to any other bridal shops. The shop is so classy and tastefully decorated, and the seating area was very comfortable for my mom and maid of honor. The selection of dresses fits a wide variety of budgets and styles, and I could have spent hours trying on all of the dresses because they were so stunning. There was no pressure to buy a dress on the spot, and the ordering and pick-up process was easy. I did order rush shipping on my dress, but I probably did not need to do so because my dress arrived much earlier than anticipated. Overall, I loved my dress-shopping process at True Society and recommend the Crossroads location for KC-area brides!

Loved my experience at True Society! I had in mind what I was wanting to try but also wanted to rule out some other silhouettes too to make sure I picked the right one. As a wedding photographer here in KC, I've photographed 100s of dresses and I just wanted something different. I went into my appointment with fear and anxiety that I would leave without finding something. Casey was so patient with me when I wanted to re-try on a couple styles a few times because I just wasn't sure. In the end, I'm pretty sure I went over my appointment time because of my indecisiveness (sorry about that!), BUT everyone was crying so we knew it was "the one" and there were a couple other consultants standing by to witness the joy and they all made me feel so special! Naturally after my appointment, I had second thoughts, as I'm sure most brides do. Honestly, I have no idea why because I know this dress was made for me! I barely needed alterations and it fit me like a dream! I felt so beautiful in my gown and I'm sad my wedding day is over because I loved wearing it! Thank you so much Casey and team!!! You made me feel incredibly special that day!

I spent my birthday trying on wedding dresses and found the one at True Society by Belle Vogue Bridal – Kansas City. It truly was the BEST day! My attendant, Mary, was absolutely wonderful. Extremely sweet and patient as I tried on nine dresses in my 90 minute appointment. She let me pick out the first four, and then continued to pull dresses after my feedback on each one. She really listened and I fully trusted her. Also, the store setup is so smart. You never have to walk from a dressing room to the mirrors/your party. You get dressed in an adorable, large dressing room behind a huge set of curtains, standing on a pedestal facing a trio of mirrors so you can fully see yourself from all angles, and then you turn around and they pull the curtain open to reveal each dress to your party. It's the perfect amount of drama to get your party's first reactions. Absolutely recommend the entire experience!

Had the best experience finding my wedding dress at True Society. Casey was so great to work with and helped me find the dress of my dreams. Much to my surprise, the designer of my dress happened to be there the same day. It was a magical moment to meet the designer and be the first to purchase this particular design. It was a truly magnificent day that I will never forget.

I had such an amazing experience here at True Society! The place is so nice and inviting! My consultant Casey was the absolute best, she made me feel so comfortable and made it very easy while trying on dresses. Would highly recommend this bridal shop and ask for Casey!!!

I had such a great experience at True Society! I made a last minute appointment to be able to shop the trunk show for a designer I had been eyeing. Since I wasn't able to give my mom and wedding party enough of a heads up to get to KC, Aubin helped me set it up so that I could have everyone in virtually. She had already pulled some dresses based on pictures I sent in and then was able to almost read my mind when I did a complete 180 on what I was looking for and put together the perfect dress, jacket and veil combo.

I truly cannot say enough great things about true society! This was the first place I looked & I am extremely indecisive and was nervous I wouldn’t be able to find my dress. The entire staff put me at ease and made me feel extremely comfortable. My stylist Morgan Raines listened & respected my budget. She was extremely patient with me and her outgoing personality put the cherry on top of our visit.

The store was sophisticated and beautiful with a wide selection of dresses at different price points. The layout of the store was wonderful. It made it easy to peruse dresses and provided a roomy private area for changing and displaying each dress to guests. The staff was so friendly yet professional. Sydney was an amazing consultant/stylist. She made my daughter feel at ease and comfortable from the beginning to the end of our appointment. She was extremely knowledgeable about every dress my daughter tried on (colors the dress could be ordered in, latest trends, tailoring/alteration options etc. etc.). I really can't say enough good things about her and our experience in the Kansas City True Society store. I highly recommend!!

10/10 experience at True Society. They made the stressful (yet exciting!!!) process of finding my dream dress so easy. Love how transparent they are about pricing and really take your budget into account. They let you walk around the store and pick dresses that speak to you straight from the rack, so they aren't pressuring you at all, but rather providing helpful suggestions. The staff is so great as well! They sent me a card wedding week, which was the sweetest touch. Definitely go to True Society!

I had the most incredible experience with their team! By the time I tried on dresses at True Society by Belle Vogue Bridal I was a bit stressed about the wedding dress process. I had been to several other stores where they made me nervous about a dress arriving in time if I didn't order *that day* or kept showing me dresses that were nothing like the dresses I described being interested in. However, the team at True Society was INCREDIBLE. They genuinely listened to me and were incredibly thoughtful in the dresses that they pulled, while listening to my feedback every step of the way. They helped me find the dress of my dreams and made me feel so supported during the process! They were incredible and I had the best experience with them. I would highly recommend them!

I had and amazing experience here and Kori was the best! I came in with several vague and vastly different aesthetic wants in a dress. After trying on a couple different styles Kori was able to figure out exactly what I was wanting and all in one dress. It’s truly perfect. I even cancelled my second appointment of that day and they automatically put that cancellation fee towards my dress amount. You should absolutely go here!

I had the absolute best experience at True Society, and with Mariah as our consultant. As a mid-size bride I was nervous about wedding dress shopping. True Society had an incredible selection of dresses with sample sizes that worked for me. Mariah made me feel confident and took away my anxiety. I found my dress and veil there, and went back to purchase earrings and a hair piece. The process was easy, the gown selection was amazing, and the people were fantastic. 100% recommend True Society for brides of all sizes.

I had SO much fun finding my wedding gown at True Society! I love that I got to actually go look at the gowns myself and pick out ones to try on. My stylist, Kylie, was so kind and made me feel so comfortable. She made sure to make me feel confident in all of the dresses! I’m obsessing over my dress everyday since my appointment of course! It’s been several weeks since I went in but I can’t stop thinking about Morgan my stylist. She was such a blessing. I couldn’t have asked for a more honest and genuine human to help me on such a high stress occasion. It shouldn’t be stressful but that’s all it’s been since I started looking. My mom’s idea of a dress for me was quite different from my taste to say the least. Morgan picked up on this and made me feel comfortable and never stressed. So many beautiful dresses, but how to choose? I felt genuinely special when Morgan complimented me and it never felt forced or scripted from her. I want to be her friend in real life! She was never fake. I could tell she loved being there, not a job more a hobby. The experience was one I will never forget and for that I’m forever grateful. Thank you Morgan and Belle Vogue. -Jess

First of all, what a welcoming and gorgeous shop!! Each bride-to-be area had tons of room to try things on and HUGE mirrors to really get a detailed look at the dresses you try on. The staff was super nice and helpful throughout the process. They had a large selection with quite a few budget options. I absolutely loved my dress- it was the perfect combo of two other dresses I'd tried on at other shops- one had sleeves, and another had leaves in the pattern. This one had BOTH! Meant to be :)

I am so grateful to the lovely ladies over at True Society by Belle Vogue Bridal, and would absolutely encourage anyone who is on the hunt for their wedding dress to visit this beautiful shop - even if you don’t find THE dress, the kindness, passion, and professionalism of the staff at TSBVB will help make knowing what you’re looking for a lot more clear/concise. For the record, I DID find my wedding dress here, and it was EVERYTHING I hoped it would be. It also looked NOTHING like what I thought I would buy, and I owe that to the expertise of my bridal stylist, Molly. I started wedding dress shopping thinking I knew exactly what I wanted, but every time I put on a dress that matched those ideas it just didn’t feel right. And after having already visited another shop and leaving empty-handed and then spending a good amount of time at TSBVB trying everything on that I thought I wanted, I was kind of over the whole thing. When Molly asked if she could put me in one more dress, that she openly admitted didn’t tick any of the design boxes I’d asked for, I figured one more “no” wouldn’t’ kill me to try on; especially considering how fun, kind and patient Molly had been with me during my appointment. And of course, the dress I thought would be just another “no” was THE yes! It was THE dress that I’d been looking for all day! Molly knew what I wanted even better than I did, but she never once tried to put me in a dress I didn’t like or couldn’t afford. She also paid very close attention to what I did and didn’t like about each dress I tried on before she ever suggested something herself. She made me feel comfortable and gorgeous and calm (none of which are easy to do to/for me), and she gave great feedback and advice. And on the big day, the compliment I kept getting over and over again was just how authentically me the gown was - something I will forever be grateful for! True Society was the very first step in my wedding journey and they stuck it out with me all the way to the end result - From shopping to purchasing to picking up and even through alterations, the process was smooth, easy, and fun. I cannot thank or recommend them enough!

I have thought a lot about what I wanted to say about True society. Let's start with the good I found my dream wedding dress. But that is it. After I left the store I feel like they had no idea what they were doing. The told me my mom could pay over the phone. When she called they were unable to find my name and when they did they tried to charge her a higher amount. The person over the phone made no attempt to fix it. So I had to call and get fixed. When my mom called back they were unable to take her payment over the phone had to do it by an app and my mom couldn't figure it out. So I had to pay and I had to call back and get a receipt. You would think they would automatically send one. Nope. It's just one little thing after another. I just wanted to order my dress and be done with them. I had originally planned on ordering my dress in May. But due ti my issues I wanted to go ahead and order it. When I finally purchased itI had to ask them again to order it now. They just wanted a sale but no service once they got their money. You talk to a different person every time you call. They told me due to my issues they would have champagne and lite snacks. To make it extra special and they also told me Molly(the consultant) would be there as well. I called before I picked up my dress to make sure. They again had no notes in my account. When I arrived I there was just one bottle of champagne. I know its little stuff. But its the little stuff that matters when I am spending a lot of money. Would I recommend True Society? No. Unorganized and staff needs trained. Due to the issues this store tarnished my experience.

Incredible experience working with this bridal salon! Even wedding dress shopping for my first time in March 2021 during COVID, they were accommodating & made sure my bridal shopping experience was all I had ever dreamed it would be! Dress & veil both came in quicker than I had been quoted when I ordered, & everything was absolutely perfect. They have a huge selection based on your price or designer preference, they truly have a dress for everyone! Not to mention their frequent trunk shows ensure you're able to get your favorite designer's newest dresses at the best prices!

This was the third place I tried on dresses. I truly have nothing but wonderful things to say! I had picked a dress but was having second thoughts after looking at other dresses online. They were more than happy to have me come back in and try on dresses again. I without a doubt have found my dream dress and Mariah was the best! She made me feel beautiful and genuinely listened to me about my thoughts and each dress. I had a strict budget and she honored that and never showed me a dress outside of it! Love, love, love this place!

I really enjoyed my experience with True Society. This was the first place I went to and found my dream dress! Aubin was my consultant. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. She asked me lots of questions to get to know me and the kind of style I was looking for. I wanted more color in the skirt part of my dress. Aubin showed me different ways we could add more color. After my appointment I received updates on the status of my dress order. The staff has been super helpful in answering any questions I have had along the way. I have always hated shopping for formal dresses, and was dreading finding a wedding dress. From the moment I stepped into True Society I was able to relax. They showed me where to look to stay in my budget and encouraged me to try on a variety of dresses. From there as a i picked apart the smallest details and that I loved or hated they were able to continue to bring me dresses until I found my perfect dress. I had the most positive experience and cannot recommend them more.

True Society in the Crossroads was our first appointment and honestly, I did not think I would find my dress on my first day of dress shopping - but I did! We worked with Holly and she was wonderful. She was not pushy and found me dresses that I didn’t even realize I would LOVE *cue the ruffles*. I found my dress and had another appointment elsewhere, so I didn’t say yes immediately. But after the second appointment, we went right back to True Society and said yes to the dress that same day! Thank you Holly and True Society!

Walking into True Society I initially became extremely overwhelmed with emotion: excitement, awe, and nervousness about finding a dress. I had the opportunity to work with Molly as my Bridal Consultant. Molly was fantastic, she was accommodating to my group and able to calm my nerves and reassured me that it was going to be a seamless process and we WERE going to find THE dress and have fun while doing so! I am a very indecisive person, but Molly was extremely positive throughout the entire process and never showed annoyance when it took me 3 separate appointments to finally say YES to the dress. Molly has so much knowledge of the different dresses and every time I would voice something that I thought I wanted she knew how to articulate what I wanted and what she thought I would like based on prior comments I had made. I also decided to purchase our bridesmaids dresses at True Society which was VERY convenient. Molly also helped to coordinate everything with my bridesmaids because all of them are out of state, and made it a very simple process. The store itself has an extremely fun, and welcoming atmosphere! I was greeted first thing, and everyone made me feel comfortable and relaxed during the entire process, given the global pandemic. I HIGHLY recommend True Society and Molly as a Bridal Consultant.

Y’all! True society is the absolute BEST place to find your dress! I had the most special and memorable day with with my family. We shopped, laughed, and had the absolute best experience! They had it down long before I even arrived they called to learn more about my style likes and dislikes via phone sent text reminders and even offered to make us a dinner reservation. However the icing was stacy was the real deal. She was kind, funny and soooo helpful. She set the tone for the day as lighthearted and fun when I arrived she made me and my large group feel so confortable and made it so easy to make my decision! I would say in comparison to all other shops I started at they are 💯the only choice for all things wedding!

I was so concerned about dress shopping. Until I walked in to True Society. They made finding my dream dress super easy. I didn’t feel pressured at all! They listened to what I wanted and what I didn’t. I couldn’t have asked for a better shopping experience! And my dress was absolutely gorgeous!!!

Hands down the best bridal salon in KC! I got my dress here in October and Gina was my consultant. She was so kind, genuine, and really made the day so special. All consultants really know their stuff!! I did not feel forced to say "yes" to any dress, even when I said I wanted to visit another salon for my second appt. I ended up coming back the same day to True Society and officially saying yes! I also recently went to look at some bridesmaid dresses and they were SO nice and helpful--even w/o an appt! I cant wait to come back with my bridesmaids soon and get my dress this spring! :)

I worked with Stacy, who was so helpful and was able to find exactly what I was looking for. She also picked out the most gorgeous veil to go with my dress. I actually purchased my gown from the Lenexa location prior to COVID. Taylor was my consultant and she was so helpful and kind. I also had great help when trying on the dress (at crossroads location) and purchasing jewelry. I feel like they did a great job helping me find my dream gown while staying within my budget.
