eived the dress. It arrived way too small and way too tight to the point I could barely get in it and couldn’t move or breathe. They also charged me for hemming and hemmed my dress to be over 2 inches off the ground even though the heels I bought for the wedding were shorter than the ones I was measured in. They remeasured me after seeing how off the fitting was and the original measurements were smaller by 2 inches than what they measured me that day, even though I lost weight since then. Clearly this was a mistake on their part and instead of owning up to their mistake right away they told me I got bigger, but that doesn’t justify the fact that it arrived over 2 inches shorter than it should be because I definitely didn’t grow in 5 months. They recommended I go to their best seamstress and that it’s an easy fix and she can fix the fit and length no problem so I don’t need to order a new dress. I trusted them and had a consultation with her but she told me there’s no way to fix it without ruining the dress. I emailed the salon and they never responded so I paid them a visit with my wedding planner and my coordinator. As soon as I walk through the door they say “oh we were just about to respond to your email!” They insisted it’s fixable but with the facts help and support of my coordinators they finally agreed they made the mistake and ordered me a new dress. I went 2 sizes bigger than what they suggested to be safe and they said that size was “ready to ship” (this was May 3rd) and said the dress will be here first week of June at the LATEST (takes 1 months to ship a ready dress from australia??). They said they would send me updates at least every week including if there’s no updates. The second week of June comes and I haven’t heard a single update from them. I sent them two emails by this point and haven’t gotten a response even though they kept saying I was their top priority. I ended up missing my alteration’s appointment because my dress never arrived when promised. Once my coordinator reached out to them they finally contacted me saying “we were just about to respond to your email” but by this point I know that’s not the case. They told me the dress is ready to ship which is what they told me May 3rd and would be here in 2 weeks, so it SHOULD arrive 2 weeks before my wedding IF it arrives when promised. At this point my wedding planner and coordinator started calling around bridal shops to see if I can buy the same dress off the rack because they were worried I wouldn’t even have a dress for my wedding. After my wedding planner left a review they called me saying the dress will now be here in 2 days and asked me to talk to my wedding planner to reconsider her review and offered a 15% refund. My dress ended up arriving overnight after that conversation which makes me questing everything they told me about the shipping before. It ended up fitting perfectly and I’m very happy I went 2 sizes bigger than what they suggested. I never got the 15% refund and I’m assuming it’s because my planner never deleted or changed her review. I genuinely believe I wouldn’tve had a dress for my wedding if I hadn’t reached out.

When I had called to pick up my dress, they were willing to work with me to get my dress before my alterations appt, despite my tough work schedule. They ensured me not to worry and they would make it work. Great atmosphere and great people. They also helped me find my perfect alterations- Tailored in White, when I had a horrible time with my previous alterations company! Highly recommend! Thank you TS!

ry pushy to get a sale. I felt so pressured, and she even told me this was the last available dress in the entire world of this model. At the end, I ended up purchasing it and feeling very unsure about it, and I made the $1200 deposit. At this time, they also asked for a percentage tip which ended up being a significant amount, and I felt very pressured in this too, despite not even seeing the dress in its final form yet. I thought dress shopping was supposed to be a wonderful experience, however it ended up being such a horrible experience here. A few days later, I knew I had made a mistake. I called multiple times, and they kept telling me that the manager would call me back to discuss ways we might be able to fix this problem. They said that the manager would call on several occasions which they never ended up calling (it was almost a week out now, when I called only 3 days after the purchase). I finally called back on a time when they were supposed to call me, right before they were closed. Once I was finally able to talk to the manager, they were extremely unhelpful. They said that there is nothing that can be done at this point as the dress had been ordered. I asked about possibly getting store credit to get a different dress, or a return, however they refused either of these options. What did they offer? They offered to take pictures of the dress on a manikin, after I pay an additional $1200, so now $2400 total, and give me the pictures to try to sell in the private market. They were well aware that you cannot get more than $1200 for the dress on the private market, but had to audacity to ask me to pay the additional $1200 at this point. I could not believe it and I felt so ripped off. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My wedding planner even got involved, and she had similar difficulties getting a hold of anybody there, and when she was finally able to speak to them along with the owner, they refused to remedy the situation in any way. This was again only a few days after purchasing the dress that I was attempting to change things. I ended up going to Charlotte's in Beaverton, and they were everything I was hoping for. They will let me try on as many dresses as I wanted, I did not make me feel pressured at all. It was the experience that I imagined buying my wedding dress would be like. I would not risk going to the shop, because they are all about the bottom line and are not about the customer. The customer service is horrible, and the experience was also horrible. I would give 0 stars if it was an option. DO NOT GO HERE.

inted when my experience was not great. As a plus size bride, I was concerned about how the dresses would fit, and what selection I would have to choose from. While they did have lots of dresses to choose from, I felt like my stylist wasn't listening to what I was looking for or my budget. I felt like my consultant was WAY too salesy, I felt SO much pressure to purchase the dress that I liked, but I didn't love. I expressed that I wanted to wait and think about it, and she kept pushing and pushing, "why dont i buy the dress today, and come back next weekend and make sure I love it" She also said "buying a wedding dress is an emotional decision, not a logical one, and you need to make a decision right now" It didn't make me feel great, I was overwhelmed, didn't feel listened too -- and felt so much pressure. While the dresses were beautiful, and the shop itself was very cute -- I would just warn people that visit to maybe expect the hard sale at the end of your visit.

SALES I had a great experience buying my dress. It's posh, beautiful, and fun. The sales person will do everything they can to sell you one of their dresses that day. The 15% they offer will make your dress cost about what it would anywhere else. SEAMSTRESS If this were an *actual* high-end bridal boutique they would have an on-site dedicated seamstress to ensure you can have appropriate alterations made for the dress to fit perfectly as it should. Instead, they have "recommended" seamstresses you have to independently book with after you order your dress. The one I went to only took cash and told me my dress will fit properly if I use double-sided tape. Needless to say, this wasn't the case and I spent many moments on my wedding day adjusting my dress because it wasn't tailored properly. The tape did nothing against my stupid 36G boobs. Additionally, I have rash where the tape was because I am stupidly allergic to adhesives.. The seamstress I went to is clearly not reporting their income and I didn't feel good about supporting their "under the table" business. She did not tell me she was "cash only" when I booked my appointment and also didn't accept a check or Venmo. This would've all been forgiven if the dress had *actually* fit properly. COMMUNICATION Good luck getting in touch with your bridal consultant after you've purchased your dress. My dress was supposed to "overnight ship" no later than 11/24. I called the shop and left a voicemail on 11/24 to make sure the dress was on the way and never heard back. On 11/26, I emailed my loser millennial bridal consultant and didn't hear back. So on Monday 11/29, I drove downtown to inquire in person. The said loser bridal consultant said she would "check into it" and call me back later that day. When I didn't hear back 30 minutes before closing, I called and was informed they hadn't heard back from the vendor (Wilderly) and would update me the next day. I called two days later and left a voicemail. I'm sure by now (if you're still reading this), you aren't surprised to hear I didn't receive a call back. I sent an email and cc'd the owner. Then I heard back that the dress would be delivered in mid-December because it got "lost," but they would credit the overnight fee back to me. Yay them, but what about the wedding in a few weeks with a dress that needs to be tailored? MONEY-GRUBBING OWNER It's clear the owner of this boutique is only in it to turn a buck and clearly doesn't care about what happens after the sale. They should ensure their stupid millennial employees did a good job after the sale, would hire a full-time seamstress/tailor, and would fully compensate any bride who has to go through half of what I did to obtain their over-priced dress. This place tried to pull the "Covid card" and "supply-chain" issue thing, but that doesn't explain why they were horrible at communication about the issues. Plus, it was all gaslighting. When I called Wilderly directly to inquire, I was informed the dress was never requested to be "overnight-shipped" until early December.

to go to and fully intended to find my dress the first time there to take advantage of their 15% off deal. Genna was fabulous and made the dress-buying experience feel comfortable instead of daunting like I imagined it would. She had great ideas on what would work based on my preferences and tight timeline. I feel grateful to have had a bridal stylist with such expertise as Genna. Morning weekday fitting was the way to go, as the downtown parking was a breeze. My sisters and I enjoyed the complimentary champagne they poured us and felt very pampered in their upscale shop. You don't have to be fancy to go to this fancy af bridal boutique, but you will be sure to find a dress you fancy.

Natalie was so helpful and made me feel so beautiful in every gown she pulled for me! I tried on about 6 dresses during my appointment, and ended up saying YES to the first one I tried on! I'm so over the moon about my experience at The White Dress and I will tell every bride to shop there! Love, love, loved it!

em better for what I was looking for. The second to last dress was beautiful but not the color I wanted. She went to get another dress from the same designer and It was the perfect color. I asked why she was hiding that dress behind the wall and as soon as I was able to see the whole thing, I fell in love. I put it on and it was so perfect and beautiful. It was THE ONE! We all started crying as I was standing there in the dress. Jenna was amazing and patient with me as I kept saying no to everything she brought. But I walked out of there with a receipt to my dress and I am so happy that I went there to look for dresses.

Due to concerns about covid-related shipping disruptions I paid extra to have my dress "expedited" (got it in 5.5 months vs. 6.5-7 months) which worked out great. I had plenty of time to get it altered before our wedding. I used one of the people recommended by The White Dress to alter my dress and she did a fantastic job. I really have no complaints other than that on the day I bought my dress I was given a very hard selling technique (told I could only get 15% off if I purchased the dress at that moment and cancelled my other bridal salon appointments for the day) which I was a bit put off by. I ended up buying the dress later in the day (and still getting the 15% off I will say) but felt the hard selling techniques were unprofessional. I did love my dress however and had a great experience with the ordering and picking up process! They have a great selection and a beautiful location.

I had time to kill before my two other bridal shop appointments! I had a vision in mind with all the dresses I liked on a Pinterest board. I arrived at The White Dress and was amazed by how clean and beautiful it was. The individual bridal suites are so pretty and perfect for COVID protocols. I felt clean and safe. The stylist who helped me was A M A Z I N G. I cannot say enough good things about Carly!!!!! She truly was extremely sweet, friendly, personable and she made me feel comfortable and welcomed. She helped me picked dresses and being someone who doesn’t wear dresses or know much, it was extremely helpful. She made sure I tried whatever I wanted and encouraged me to even try something I didn’t have in mind and I am SO glad she encouraged me to think outside the box and my mindset because that was the dress I ended up choosing!! It was the exact opposite of what I had in mind and what I thought would look best on me. Even after that, she encouraged me to still try on others just in case and to make sure I totally knew. I love how they have you walk down their hallway with their large mirrors and a bouquet, veil imagining yourself walking down the aisle. It made it all feel extremely real and it made me so happy and felt like a real bride. I cannot thank Carly enough for her amazing service and help. Thank you so much!!

The women I worked with no longer works there which is ok because she was rather pushy. I felt very rushed to make a decision. I came back the next day and got my dress but still with hesitation. Where the White Dress really won my appreciation was in how they handled issues with customizing my dress with the designer. I wanted an extended train and there was a lot of back and forth in not being able to do it. The owner of the shop and her team worked it out and I got my dream dress.

Unfortunately, the dress I purchased from the other store turned out to be a scam. With only 7 months left to my wedding, I was panicked! I shared my story on a Portland wedding group and within minutes I received a message from Amanda (the owner of The White Dress). She personally contacted me and offered me an appointment for the next day! When I arrived at my appointment I was greeted by Amanda and the stylist who helped me at my initial appointment 9 months ago. Everyone was extremely welcoming and happy to help me find my dress. The staff helped lift my spirits, build my confidence, and we found MY dress!! My stylist Catherine, Amanda, and the whole shop are genuinely great at their jobs and want to help their brides! Great people are hard to find in this industry it seems, but The White Dress is full of them. I love my dress more than the one I originally purchased and LOVE my experience a million times more.

The private sitting room and adjacent private changing room was perfect for my mom and nana to have comfy places to sit and a level a privacy while changing I appreciated. Not mention lovely champagne. P We had an absolutely wonderful stylist named Catherine who just made everything so easy and found great dresses. She made sure to note the aspects I loved of gowns and made The whole experience enjoyable. While I didn’t walk out with a dress (I’m not one to make a instant decision), I can’t think of a better place to try on dresses. Everyone had a lovely time and it really made the experience a memory we won’t forget. Thank you Catherine!

I took my mom and sister with me to my appointment and we were all so impressed with the bridal salon, the service, and selection of dresses. We were able to pick out a few dresses and then we were shown back to our private bridal suite and offered champagne. I found my perfect dress at that first appointment and was able to take advantage of the discount which was awesome and made my dream dress more affordable. My dress took about 6 months to arrive which was exactly what Kelly told me when I ordered the dress. When I went to pick up my dress I brought with me quite a large entourage, I think there were about 10 of us, and there was no problem accommodating the larger group and we were very comfortable. It was just great. I would highly recommend The White Dress to new brides-to-be.

hing. My consultant Carly was AMAZING😍 I was in Portland dress shopping (traveled from Alaska) and this was my third stop in one day and I was getting very flustered, tired and overwhelmed. Carly was so down to earth and listened to exactly what I wanted. She didn’t try to sell me on anything. If I made a certain face, it was back to the drawing board. I was stuck between three gorgeous dresses and just as I was about to get rid of one, we agreed that I should try it on again. Carly threw on a gorgeous hair accessory and veil on me and that. Was. It. I had found the dress! The shop was so accommodating to the large group of family members that I brought with me and let us take as much time as we needed to take everything in and pick as many dresses as we liked. Everything was so perfect. So very grateful to Carly and The White Dress!

With that goal in mind, Kelly lead us to the showroom and thoroughly explained each section of the showroom. After sharing her knowledge she let me look through the gowns along with pulling a few key styles she knew I would like. Like most brides say, this was the most overwhelming part for me, but Kelly made it seamless. My friends and I selected an additional six gowns to add to the collection. Kelly directed me and my friends back to the private suite and we began moving through the collection. The experience was beyond personal and I felt like I could tell Kelly what I LOVED about the gowns and the things I wish I could change. I was so comfortable. I tried on SO many GOWNS and this gave me a true taste of what I wanted. Throughout the whole appointment Kelly was running dresses in and out of the room and catering to the small details. Finding the perfect gown without a doubt was an experience to last a lifetime. I stepped into the almost perfect gown, but I wanted a personal touch to be added to the back. Kelly was excited to help me with that personal touch on the back of my gown and I had FINALLY landed the dress of my dreams. The experience didn't stop there. Kelly shared the excitement when I said "yes to the dress". After the measurements were taken she directed my friends to showroom so we could wrap up the day with all the photos we could have ever asked for. With that being said, thank you Kelly for making this a day I will always remember. Things I loved about my stylist: Kelly was able to provide direction, while accomplishing various tasks. There was never a moment that I thought she was trying to "sale" a gown to me. She was genuine and easy to talk to.

I sent a FB message. Amanda (the owner) was so quick to respond and was so helpful! She even sent me another recommendation on a dress similar to what I was looking for and passed all of my questions on to Carly (my bridal stylist) so that she would be prepared when my girls and I got there. From the moment we walked in the door we were all greeted with so many smiles. You could tell the ladies there love what they do! We were offered champagne and taken back to our personal bridal suite by Carly. She asked every question to get an idea of my dream dress. After getting an idea, she walked us through all the dresses, picked up a few of them, and had us pick up a few others we wanted to try. Carly picked all the right dresses and I thought I would have a hard time picking one. Until THE dress came out. The one that Amanda recommended after answering my questions and getting a feel for what I was looking for. Hands down, no question about it, it was The Dress! In between each dress, Carly walked through my journey with me asking about everything! How we met, how did he propose, what does he look like, where’s the wedding, and so many more I can’t even remember (I’m still on cloud nine so it’s hard to remember all of them). It felt like talking to one of my closest girlfriends. It was comfortable. We even hugged after saying “Yes to the dress”. She was amazing! They even helped with picking a necklace to go with the dress. Measurements were taken and then retaken to verify consistency and perfection and then I placed my order. Everything was perfect! If there was only one place I could ever recommend, this would be it! Very classy, very friendly staff! Incredibly clean! Great location! Experience of a lifetime! Look no further, this is the place to go! And I highly recommend working with Carly (I imagine all the other ladies are just as great but my experience was with her). called the consultant was disrespectful. I went in anyways for a trunk show and had my dress selected when I went in and found out the dress was listed $500 more than other locations. My recommendation is to go somewhere else with a larger selection, more helpful consultants and save money!

try on. There was a dress that I really liked but was missing a key detail I had wanted. My consultant, Bri, hunted down something similar and pieced it together to see how it would look, and it sealed the deal. The set-up was very comfortable, and made a great experience! I can't wait to walk down the aisle in such a unique, beautiful dress!
