Trumps Catering

Trumps was the absolute best for my 2020 wedding! Christina was so patient and accommodating during the entire wedding planning process, especially when we postponed our wedding to a later date that year. I changed my mind on the menu at least 3 times and in the end everything was perfect. They provided great service for our cocktail hour, reception and bar service. All of our guests loved all our food choices and I can't thank Trumps enough for the experience they provided for all of our guests.

The appetizers and meal we had at our wedding was wonderful and people still tell us how much they enjoyed it! We were unable to have a tasting before our wedding due to COVID and were so impressed with everything that we had served at the wedding. Everyone we worked with was professional, helpful, and flexible with planning during a pandemic. They have so many options of food and meals to choose from to fit your budget and we highly recommend them!

I did my wedding at a venue that doesn't do many weddings and isn't equipped to host catered meals and parties. I had reached out to many catering companies prior to finding Trumps and they all had far fewer menu options, were less experienced with how to set up and handle a non-traditional venue, and were a lot more expensive. When I found Trumps, I looked at their online reviews and review after review, brides/grooms said that their guests raved about Trumps catering. Given I couldn't remember the last time I raved about food at a wedding, I thought the reviews were exaggerated and too good to be true. But during our reception and even after the wedding, our guests consistently told us how great the food was and that the food was a highlight of the reception. During the planning, Trumps was super flexible in terms of requests and customizations (letting us swap out one protein for another, add tea to the hot chocolate and coffee specialty bar, change our menu and finalize headcount up until very late, and change bar / table / linens setups countless times). They were pros on wedding and catering best practices and were on top of every detail. We planned our wedding last minute and from out of state, so we had to trust and rely on our vendors more than most couples. But we completely lucked out by having Trumps cater our wedding. On the day of, in addition to putting together a tasteful brunch buffet, they also helped us execute a "cornucopia" spread that we designed and sourced ourselves. On top of it all, their staff was super respectful and professional the whole time. It was a complete treat and delight to work with Trumps. All of their positive reviews are well-deserved and hiring Trumps was the best decision I made for the wedding!

My wedding venue had a list of preferred caterers that I researched before deciding on Trumps Catering. Initially I chose them for their familiarity/experience to my venue (PS: if you're getting married at the Botans in Athens, choose Trumps!) and price alone (they were way more affordable than other vendors I got quotes from)... but I quickly learned that Trumps had so much more to offer. Andree is incredibly helpful, detail-oriented, patient and responsive. She always got back to e-mails almost immediately and often was available to meet or discuss ideas and details either by phone or in person. Due to venue and time restrictions, I had to have a quick room flip during cocktail hour, which made other vendors I talked to very nervous about, but Trumps was confident and they were able to pull it off. And the free tastings were a HUGE plus! My parents and I were very impressed. There were a few minor hiccups along the way and day-of such as having to revise our final proposal a few times due to not reading my emails carefully, having a different style of potatoes than we agreed on, and having less ice-cream than we requested (which we were refunded for, though). So I would say if you are extremely particular and are a perfectionist, just keep that in mind. But honestly, something is always going to go wrong on your wedding day so some of it is to be expected! Overall, it seemed my guests enjoyed the food and I would recommend Trumps in a heartbeat!

Trumps was amazing to work with! They were so incredibly organized, efficient, helpful, and friendly. Those qualities were true of everyone we worked with, from the sales reps to the actual waitstaff at the event. Their food was good (so I hear, as the bride I didn’t get a chance to eat much), and their bar service was excellent too! They are very reasonably priced compared to other caterers that serve the area, and it was so nice that they included everything (e.g., chair rentals, tablecloths, all types of tables needed, etc.) in their final quote to us. They also have worked extensively with many venues in the Athens, GA area, so they know their stuff when it comes to setup plans, etc. Overall very happy with them!

People are still raving to us about our wedding food and have told us multiple times that it is the best food they have ever had at a wedding! Not only was the food great, but the staff and everyone we dealt with at Trumps Catering from day one was super professional and incredibly helpful! We cannot say enough good things about our experience with them and would recommend them to anyone!

Trumps was one of the best decisions we made in wedding planning. They were logistic lifesavers. They were quick and helpful in their email responses. They coordinated renting chairs from another vendor. We loved that they set up a private table for us to eat before going into the reception and mingling with everyone. They also packed us food to go after. It was worth the peace of mind to know that they would handle setting up and cleaning up. We couldn’t recommend them enough.

The food was amazing! Not only did it taste delicious, but the presentation was unbelievable! They did a beautiful job of flipping the room from our ceremony to the reception. Our guests couldn’t stop going back for seconds and thirds. Our goal was for them to remember the food, the booze and the dancing- Trumps helped us exceed that goal!

Trumps was so fantastic to work with. Not only were there plenty of menu options to choose from, but they made it easy to accommodate every dietary need, and customize the dinner to make it perfect for everyone. When we couldn't make the season tasting, they went out of their way to make sure we could sit down with members of the team and pick out exactly what we wanted to eat. We got so many comments on how delicious the food was! On the day of the wedding, everyone was working hard making sure things were going off without a hitch. They paid special attention to my husband and 8, making sure our drinks were full and we had everything we wanted to eat. We used trumps for bartenders and flipping the room too, and they did it all perfectly!

Trumps Catering went above and beyond what I expected. First, the food was absolutely amazing. I had multiple people at the wedding come up and tell me how much they enjoyed it. But Trumps didn't just do food. They provided us with tablecloths, chairs, cake setup, and more. They did ALL of the set up and clean up. Andree met with us several times to make a perfect menu; I cannot praise them highly enough. Additionally, I bought some decorations and they offered to set them up for me which was so helpful since I didn't have a coordinator to help me. They made the venue look amazing. They also hosted our rehearsal dinner in their ballroom which was equally amazing. Trumps catering was the best decision I made in my wedding planning.

We had such a great experience with Trump's from the beginning all the way to the end. We worked with Christina, who was really patient with us because we weren't sure of exactly what we wanted at first. She helped us save money wherever possible while picking out an awesome menu. The staff did an awesome job of setting up and the cleanup after the wedding. The wait staff was AWESOME! They were so sweet and took great care of everyone at our reception. I can't even say enough about their food. We had so many people that wanted to know where we got the mac and cheese from because they wanted to go buy more! I include myself in that group because it was really good! We also had chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, stuffed pork loin, salad and green beans. Everything was delicious! I know catering can be expensive, but if you go with this company, they will not disappoint you. The quality and service were both above and beyond what I expected, and I would recommend them to anyone catering a formal event.

The space and service that Trump's catering provided was superb. We were able to attend one of their tasting events and view the ballroom space. At this event we were given several options for room setup and food. The staff worked diligently to ensure that we had more then enough food, and that the taste would be even better then when we attended the tasting. The staff is easy to work with and provided a time for us to come and setup the day before the wedding.

Trumps, and Andrée specifically, were wonderful to work with throughout our wedding planning process! We customized our menu to meet some allergy needs and they worked with us to provide the bar option that worked best for us and our guests! My now-husband and I made it a point to eat, and the Trumps servers were so kind and attentive to ensure we got to enjoy our meal. The food was absolutely delicious, and all of our guests raved over it! All of the bartenders and servers were so kind to our guests, and we couldn’t have asked for better service! They packed meals for us to enjoy after, and the leftovers were just as delicious! We’re thankful to Trumps for helping make our wedding weekend perfect!

Trumps really came through for us! We wanted breakfast for dinner & wanted it done well. I am still hearing compliments about the food! We also had a hot chocolate bar for cocktail hour and it was a hit. They made my life easy & it was wonderful!

Trumps Catering was an excellent choice for us! Communication was great throughout the whole process. They thought of every little detail, and the staff at the actual reception was spot on, making sure we were taken care of. The food was amazing, especially the corn souffle. Definitely recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat!

The food they provided was amazing. The process working with André was amazing. She invited us to two tastings with our families and was more than accommodating for my personal food allergies and other guests as well! Then, the staff that were actually At the venue for our wedding were amazing. They took care of our plates and our guests. They insured we had food to go and were more than accommodating with every request. Highly recommend them for the price and quality of service!

This was by far the best food I've had at any wedding or catered event. We are so glad we went with Trumps, because our guests could not stop talking about how good the food was. The mashed potato bar, mac and cheese bar, sweet corn souffle, and the carved beef tenderloin were huge hits at the reception, and the summer squash casserole, fried chicken and white cheddar and green onion grits were the hits at the rehearsal dinner. Oh and one more thing about the rehearsal dinner, get the cupcakes with caramel filling and butter cream frosting...I'm pretty sure everyone had at least two. They were just so good!! The service was also superb. My new wife and I didn't have much time to eat, and the buffet line was pretty long, but the servers asked us what we wanted and brought us our food and drinks to our table so we wouldn't have to wait in line. It may have been a small gesture, but one that was greatly appreciated. They even packed us to-go plates for the wedding night. Overall, a very awesome job!

Andree and Trumps Catering were excellent for our wedding reception. Andree responded promptly to my million emails and questions and was a joy to work with. She was also able to provide us with vendors for furniture rentals. She went above and beyond for us. The food was beyond amazing and everyone loved it. The staff was very professional and there was never an empty container. All of our guests were full and happy. They were very reasonably priced and well worth it!

I can’t say enough positive things about Andree, Mary, and the staff and Trumps! Andree went out of her way to create a custom cocktail hour and dinner for our wedding. Oh, and the food is superb! Their head person that night thoughtfully packed two plates in case my new husband and I didn’t have enough to eat. Our guests raved about the selection, especially the crab dip appetizer and the beef. We had a minor hiccup but I think it was mostly due to a person at our venue and Trumps made things right again. Also, I highly recommend you do one of their semi-annual tasting events. The selection is excellent and they arrange for other local vendors to come and showcase their flowers, photography, cakes, etc.

Trumps provided the catering for our wedding reception at the Botanical Gardens on July 25th, and I couldn't be happier with them! I pretty much created my own heavy hors d'oeuvres menu, but they were happy to work with me, and created delicious, beautiful, affordable food that we were proud to serve. Trumps also handled rentals for us (linens, etc. and different chairs), the bar, and event space clean up - everything went very smoothly! I highly recommend Trumps for your catering needs!

Trumps Catering was so easy to work with. We went to one of their open house. It was a great way to see how they show at weddings. Everyone at the wedding loved our food! The staff did a wonderful job setting up and were professional. They even sent my husband and I with to-go boxes!!!

Trumps was delicious and everything we wanted from our caterer! Of course everyone has the fear of serving subpar "wedding food." Trumps knocked it out of the park. We went with southern fare to match our theme, and everything was great. Our favorite was the corn casserole! They did have to travel from Athens to Madison, but the food was warm and tasty. As with most brides and grooms, we were made a plate ready at our table, but after so much visiting it had gotten cold. The staff didn't hesitate to bring us a new warm plate immediately. We also had a side plate with our yummy hors d'oeuvres that we couldn't enjoy during cocktail hour while we took photos. Plus, they packed us a perfect to-go plate, too. I was so overwhelmed with excitement and adrenaline, I barely ate! I was able to enjoy leftover wedding food, and it was STILL fantastic. As we were planning from out of state (living in Arkansas/wedding in Georgia), my mom and MIL were my go-to with coordination. This was a little frustrating as Trumps would ask me then I would defer to my MIL then her to me then back to Trumps. However, they were patient. It just felt like a lot got lost in translation. They did have staff turnover at one point, so a few of our messages were missed, but the owner Andre remedied everything quickly and professionally. They did miss my venue walkthrough but ONLY because the rep's car broke down. I got a phone call and email apologizing immediately, and they worked with my wedding coordinator and the venue to get everything handled on their time. If there was any issue at the wedding, it was transparent to my husband and me. Note in pricing: We paid for 120 guests. We also bought our own alcohol and only paid for bar set up.

Trumps was our venue for our reception and rehearsal dinner as well as our caterer and cake baker. The owner Andree and Mellisa Schuler were wonderful at meeting my needs for food and venue while keeping my budget in mind. The food was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend them!

The service and staff are amazing. The food is delicious. However, the bill was a bit costly!

Andree constantly worked with us on our changing guest count! She replied to any call or email instantly!

Trumps was great - they were super helpful in working out a ton of details that I didn't even know how to start working on. The food was great, the selection was great, they were wonderful at being flexible with the times we could go for a meeting and they made our reception look so professional! I am so thankful for the job Andree and her crew did. They even included a nice to-go box for my husband and me to have as we left for our honeymoon. We got married at the Botanical Gardens, and they know the venue very well which was great! My dad doesn't like cheese so they split the order of potatoes into half with cheese and half without for no charge. Another thing I love is that we had our wedding in the first half of the day and Trumps was also catering the wedding there that night. They made a deal so that if it rained that day (thankfully it didn't), the other bride and I could split the cost of the tent. They were in charge of any rentals necessary and they cleaned everything up afterwards, including the ceremony location. The food was a little fancier than I wanted so I was expecting it to not be quite as a good, but it was delicious southern cooking. Trumps was perfect for us!

I was very happy we chose Trumps as our caterer. All of the food was great, and there was more than enough to go around. What I was most pleased with was the presentation - absolutely beautiful! Trumps has a strong reputation in Athens, and they certainly did not disappoint. The catering director was quite helpful in our selection process, and she was very prompt in responding to emails and phone calls. I wish I could say the same for all of my wedding vendors!

From beginning stages to the end of our recption trumps catering made everything perfect. Their staff the day of was exceptional and they made sure all of our needs were met. The food was delicious and they will work with you to make your menu exactly what you want

I really didn't know what to expect from a caterer and was so concerned about the cost of one that I put off finding one until just a month before the wedding, but this didn't phase Andre. She was friendly, helpful, extremely easy to work with, and never pushed us to spend more or get more than we needed/ wanted. Every aspect our contract and what to expect on the day was very clearly explained and things couldn't have run smoother. We had an extremely delicious and elegant brunch reception and the staff there on the day was a joy to work with. Even though we had a buffet style meal, the coordinator there from Trumps saw that my elderly grandmother was unable to see or walk to serve herself and served that table without any prompting from us. I cannot possibly give Trumps a high enough recommendation. Everything was delicious, beautiful, and just an overall great experience. Trumps also did our wedding and grooms cakes and even though my husband and I were fairly indecisive and running behind (surely we didn't make things easy), they made everything work beautifully. They even helped us add cake pulls to the cake which was a very important personal touch for us. PS The cake baker doesn't use fondant, only butter cream and it looks as smooth and flawless and fondant, it was so delicious!!!!

Susan at Trumps Catering was truly easy to work with and she has a keen eye for wedding cakes. Her work was beautiful and EXACTLY what I imagined for my wedding cake--not to mention the delicious taste!

We had our reception at the hall on Milledge. Although the outside is not very aesthetically pleasing, you would never know from the inside. We ended up choosing this hall due to the huge dome ceiling they have above the built in dance floor that has fiber-optics to resemble a starry sky. It was very beautiful and unexpected for guests. The food was also amazing. We went with the a la carte hors d'oeuvres menu, which was cheaper. We loved that it was served as a buffet, so no one knew the difference and could still get as many platefuls as they wanted. The staff was very nice and helpful. They even send the bride and groom home with dinner and cake as well as a bottle of champagne which we appreciated.

We used them for the rehearsal dinner since we used the Georgian for the venue. The groom's parents were the ones to be able to attend the tastings, etc. so we didn't actually get to try anything until the night of! It was fantastic. I am never a fan of mass produced food - you can't help but to make things soggy, etc but their food was not this way! It was all very fresh and was suitable for 150 people buffet style! Perfect!

You will not find better prices and food in Athens GA! The staff is awesome and make sure everything is in its place!

We could not have bene more pleased with Trumps Catering!! They were very easy to work with, and they provided many services which kept us from having to bring in numerous vendors!! A++ I would recommend them to anyone for any event in or around the Athens, GA area. The food was fresh, the bar service was speedy, and the cake was delicious. They even provided our linens for the reception. The cost was very reasonable when considering everything that came with the total amount!

Trumps came through when my caterer fell through at the last minute. Great service, very helpful.

The food was wonderful and we got several compliments. The woman who was in charge of the staff at our wedding was kind of rude though, and was reprimanding her staff in front of our guests. Overall the quality was excellent but we could have paid less elsewhere for just as good food.

Trumps worked with me every step of the way and were very accommodating to the kind of reception I wanted to have. They also filled in the gaps where I hadn't thought of something and made great choices on the areas where I left it up to them. They were very reliable and arrived when they said they would, and the staff was always very nice and wanting to make it perfect for us. Highly recommend! We also had an easy menu so it was pretty cheap for us.

We used Trumps Catering to cater a buffet lunch for us. They did our food and our wedding cake. Everybody at our wedding said the food and cake were delicious. They set up everything and cleaned up everything so it was hassle free for us. I would definitely recommend them to other people.

Trumps catering is an excellent and afordable service. The total cost for the ballroom venue, day-of wedding coordinator, dance floor, linens, china, cake (groom and wedding), appetizers, and seated menu for + or - 90 people was around $3000! I wish I had met with the wedding coordinator before my wedding since she had her own schedule in place which was different from the one I had created for my outside venues (causing some confusion); however, the reception was still beautiful and no one really noticed. Most people enjoyed the food as well, only some complained that the beef was a little dry. The turkey was wonderful!

It is historical which is great, the food was the best, the staff was more than I could have asked for. They were 100% everything I could have wanted.;Book EARLY. They fill up quickly.
