g was the third time I have used Trystan photograph and I will continue to use them in the future. They know how to capture the best candid moments and the posed family photos and even though the weather during our wedding ceremony provided a bit of a challenge, our photos turned out spectacular.

ce we had already done engagement photos in Austin, but they came as part of this package, they let us do a family photo shoot instead. When that time came the weather was horrible and we decided to do the family shots in their studio, which still turned out amazing. Trig knew we were bummed since we chose them for their amazing landscape shots, so they went out of their way to schedule another engagement shoot for us at The Garden of the Gods. He was incredible when interacting with my 2 year old nephew and he doesn’t mind laying down in the dirt or in the middle of a road to get you the perfect shot. He had us laughing the whole time, which got some great genuine smiles, though made it pretty hard to come back from when he wanted to get a serious-face shot. Everything leading up to the wedding went smoothly and they even made a trip out to the venue to check it out ahead of time since they hadn’t shot there before. We also booked them to do our videography, so Trig was on video and Charlotte was on photos and they both brought assistants. So we had four people catching every moment of the day, which turned out to be very helpful for all those times when the bride and groom are separate. If you are anything like me, and blackout / can’t fully recall what was said at those key moments like during your proposal or at your ceremony, then I would wholeheartedly suggest finding the extra money to get their videography. We received three videos - the full ceremony, the full toasts, and a 5 minute highlights video. I am so thankful to have all of them. The videos were so clear and the sound quality was excellent and they were able to catch all of the little detailed moments like our parents and friends tearing-up, the flower girl dumping out her whole bucket, and my silly husband waving to me as I walked down the aisle. The photos are equally stunning. They have an amazing ability to catch the gorgeous sunlight through the clouds and still have brightness and depth to the colors. I was very happy to find out that they were able to get photos of all of our guests during dinner and they even stayed a little later for free to make sure that they got some shots of the dancing. I can’t sing their praises enough. I would chose them again and again. It took about four months to receive everything, but the photos and videos were so incredibly worth the wait!

They will do whatever it takes to make sure you get the best possible photos...even if it means Trig laying on the ground in the middle of a crowd (which is a great site to see). ompletely sold after meeting Trig and Char. Trig came to meet us at our home, and he was immediately very interested in getting to know us and also about all of the details of our wedding. Trig was fun and gregarious from the get go, and we knew that they were the right photographers for us. They really made an effort to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted and didn't want, and took a lot of extra time to get to know our wedding venue since they had never shot there before. Trig even came to our rehearsal to talk with our priest, see the church, and know where to be on the day of the wedding. Trig, Char, and Kim were all there for us all day the day of the wedding. They all fit in so well with us and our group of friends that it was almost like they were actually guests at the wedding. However, they remained professional and focused the entire day and got truly AMAZING pictures! They even expedited the processing of a couple of shots so that we could give them as gifts before we saw the rest of them. I cannot speak highly enough of them, and recommend them to everyone I know who is getting married, or has any other photographic needs. They did our family photographs this past fall as well, and it was just as wonderful. You will not be disappointed!
I was out of state for most of our wedding planning, so the first time I met Trig, one of the two photographers of Trystan Photography, it was for our engagement session.

ediately knew why my soon-to-be wife chose them to shoot our wedding. Trig was instantly familiar, fun and knew how to get the best out of us. The engagement session was a blast.
By the time the wedding came around, Colorado was dealing with a TON of flooding, making it difficult to know if guests were even going to be able to make it to our venue. Trig and Char still showed up on-time, just as they promised, on a day when 1/8 of our guests couldn't fight their way to our wedding.
They brought professionalism and FUN to our wedding while, most importantly, getting fantastic shots. I can not recommend them highly enough. Here are photos of our wedding:

o nail EVERY shot so beautifully. Due to not only my deep love of beauty and art, but also my love of photography, He is my idol! They were so easy to work with and made us feel at ease and as though we could be our truest selves with you.
Secondly: We looked at several photographers, including some that were pricier, but we felt that the quality of Tristan Photography's pictures far surpassed the competition. They are flexible and willing to work with our time-frame and budget. Trygve was inconspicuous on the wedding day itself, staying out of the guests view but getting great and intimate shots. He was clear with directing us, yet really fun to work with. Not like some of those stupid photographers that ask you a question and take the picture while you are answering them ;) Most of all though we loved the artistry that he created. Every shot looks like a masterpiece, he captured the beauty and the emotions of the day masterfully. Despite the outdoor wedding complete with snow storm and low lighting.
AMAZING! And remember, despite the price: After the wedding, you won't be able to fit in your dress, the food will be eaten and the guests will be gone, even your memories fade.
All that remains are the pictures.

im for our wedding. He was helpful and seemed excited to photograph our wedding. We tentatively planned a face-to-face meeting.... and then he didn't email me back with a definitive time till that day... which was a week and a half later. He then showed up 5 minutes late and didn't apologize or even acknowledge that he was late. I felt that he dressed unprofessionally and he seemed to not be interested in my opinion or wants for my wedding. He tells all of his clients that he is all about "having fun". I like having fun too.... but I also don't want my wedding photographer showing up late to my wedding or not emailing me back. When I confronted him about showing up late and not emailing me back he said, "It's because you aren't a client yet... you're only a potential client." I felt that I wasn't important to him before giving him the signed contract and check, so I was definitely worried how important I would be once I had handed over the contract and check. Take my advice and hire a wedding photographer that you can actually trust. I'm very glad that I will be having someone else photograph one of the most important days of my life.
I knew from the moment that I met Trig & Char that I wanted them to be my wedding photographers. What I didn't know was that I would also hire them for videography for our wedding....
Trig was awesome at our meeting and laid out all the options for us. It was a relief during a stressful "planning" time. We had a great engagement shoot at the Garden of the Gods with Trig, & he captured some gorgeous photos. I talked with Char on the phone the week of the wedding to review my "photography checklist" of photos that I would like taken during the wedding day. Based on the timeline that I was working on, and the photos requested, she helped me to make a timeline of how and when we would get each shot/group of shots. I was and am so thankful for their professionalism before, during, and after our wedding. I was never once worried or stressed about the photography/videography aspect of our day. Trig, Char, & their crew delivered flawlessly on our big day, & blended in seamlessly with our guests. For months after the wedding I had people asking, "Where did you find your photographers?! They are awesome!" Our wedding photos could not have turned out any better. I'm going to be honest, I still can't decide what I want big prints of because they are just all so good, & I don't have that much wall space :) THEN we got our wedding videos. Photography captures special moments that we will never forget, but videography will help us relieve our "best day ever" in a 5 1/2 minute short film. If anyone is on the fence about doing videography at your wedding (I was actually convinced that I was not going to have videography), you must do it! It's once in a lifetime, it's your day, you want to capture every moment and be able to relieve those emotions when you watch the video of your love story. Just look at Trig & Char's work with their photography & videography and you will see why you must have both! I couldn't be happier, & recommend Trystan Photography to anyone in need of photos or videos(for any occasion) !

d very reasonably priced. I loved the fact they provide you with the rights to and a digital copy of all your pictures. Because of this, I was (easily and without additional cost) able to share my photos with all my close family members, put on social media, and have flexibility when sending out save the dates. When you book them for your wedding, they will complete a complimentary engagement photo shoot. They are wonderful at capturing the moment and providing excellent quality pictures. Both Trig and Charlotte are very personable and make you feel very comfortable through out the entire process. I live 1,000 miles away in California. But if I lived closer, I would continue to utilize them in the future. I would recommend them to everyone. I could not be more satisfied.
