plentiful drinkware and accommodations for everyone. We did bring extra air mattresses and they fit easily into the space. The view of the mountains and ocean from the lodge, tent, and lawn was stunning. We are were both raised in Alaska and this was the perfect spot to show our out of town guests what AK is all about. Roger and Arlene were incredible venue hosts. They led us through a virtual tour a year out from our event which was very helpful for us to picture our day. They were communicative and thorough leading up to the event. When we arrived at the venue, Roger met us to help with setting up the dance floor, electricity, and directional signs. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and seemed personally invested in making sure our wedding went smoothly. This venue offered the lodge and tent only and the rest of the wedding was put on using external vendors. This seemed daunting at first but went off without a hitch the day before and day of the wedding while setting everything up. Roger and Arlene were flexible with us when coordinating vendor drop off and pick up times to accommodate the other companies' business hours. The venue grounds itself is ginormous. We only used a portion but could have had a larger wedding than just the ~80 people we had attend. This meant we had extra room for pictures away from the ceremony space and plentiful parking for guests. In typical Mid-Alaska summer fashion, we were worried about mosquitoes and other bugs. When we arrived at the venue there were many small black flies in the tent and around the ceremony space that seemed drawn to wherever people were. We brought some fly catching bags to attached the tent and created a bug spray station for our guests. With this, some citronella, and a small breeze, it kept them at away during the wedding without a problem. Thank you for a wonderful wedding weekend! We highly recommend getting married here! :)
