As a budget conscious bride, I assumed we didn’t need video of our wedding day. I assumed a guest in the crowd would record our speeches on their cell phone, and that pictures of our ceremony would be worth a thousand words. Then as fate would ...have it, about 6 weeks before our wedding I noticed an influx of teaser videos on my social media feeds from others whom I knew got married, but that I didn’t realize had video of their big day. After surprisingly crying at each of them, I made the best impulse purchase of my entire life: I booked Turning Leaf Creations.
I cannot say enough about Jay and Amy, and the meaningfulness of capturing our wedding day on video. Without a doubt, Jay and Amy were my absolute favorite vendors to work with – and we had a lot of vendors. They seemed just has happy as our guests to be there, and were so kind and generous with their help that they actually made our wedding day less stressful. They were so creative and subtle with their recordings that it didn’t even feel like they were there – until we watched our video and found they were always there, capturing our day in the most beautiful way.
For anyone who is on the fence about having videography, I highly encourage you to take the plunge. The day goes by in such a rush that it’s hard to capture the little details in your memory. While the speeches are happening you may be so caught up in the moment, aware of everyone staring directly at you and of loved ones heaping compliments on you that you might miss parts of what’s being said. 10 years from now will you remember what readings you selected, which vows you chose to say, which music filled the church as you entered? With time, memories will start to fade – but video of your wedding day will be one of the most treasured possessions you own.
They say your wedding day is the biggest, most important day of your life - but what if you got to keep it alive each day for the rest of your life?
