Our wedding at Turning Stone on October 2nd, 2026 was everything we had dreamed of and more. It’s difficult to put into words just how grateful we are for everyone who played a part in making that day so special. When you spend so much time planning a wedding, you hope that when the day finally arrives, you can stop worrying about the details and simply enjoy it. That is exactly what we were able to do. We could be present with each other, our families, and our friends and truly take in every moment. Looking back, that means more to us than we can say. We especially want to thank our Service Managers, Nadine, Chelsea, Emily, and Gabby. We know how much work happens behind the scenes to make a wedding come together, and we never took that for granted. Your patience, kindness, attention to detail, and genuine desire to make the day special for us were felt throughout the entire experience. You took so much off our shoulders and allowed us to enjoy a day we will remember for the rest of our lives. Seeing everything come together was honestly emotional. The ceremony was beautiful, the reception was incredible, and hearing from so many of our guests afterward about how much fun they had has made us appreciate the night even more. Knowing that the people we love enjoyed themselves as much as we did is one of the greatest compliments we could receive. We also want to personally thank everyone at The Lodge at Turning Stone. From the front desk and bellmen to housekeeping and everyone we crossed paths with throughout the weekend, we were treated with such warmth and kindness. It wasn’t just great service, you made us, our families, and our guests feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Those little interactions and thoughtful gestures may seem small, but they meant a great deal to us. We will always look back on October 2nd as one of the happiest and most meaningful days of our lives. Turning Stone will forever be part of that memory, and we will always be grateful for the people who worked so hard to make it what it was. We're so grateful for the team at Turning Stone! They helped make our day perfect and stress free! From months of planning, which Matt helped with every step of the way, to an incredible welcome party and our perfect wedding day, the team was there for anything we needed. The food was amazing, the servers were A+ (especially Paula!). Our wedding cake was better than we could have ever expected (thank you Diane!), and having the staff to do setup and tear down was such a huge weight off our shoulders. I earned my bachelor's degree in Hotel, Resort and Tourism Management from Paul Smith's College and have spent my entire career in the hospitality industry. During my eight years at Turning Stone, I've had the pleasure of helping hundreds of couples find the perfect setting for one of the most important days of their lives. I love getting to know each couple, learning about their vision, and introducing them to everything Turning Stone has to offer. ur budget. Our coordinator was Alaina, and we couldn’t be more happy with her! She worked with us throughout the entire planning process to make sure everything was set, and we had several meetings prior to the big day. Our stay at the lodge during our wedding weekend was incredible, and we felt like VIP guests. Alaina was present for the entire wedding day, ensuring everything went smoothly. She made our dreams of an outdoor wedding despite questionable weather come true! The entire staff at our rehearsal and ceremony/reception were truly wonderful. They were so accommodating, kind, and lovely. We adored the staff at our rehearsal dinner, and got hugs from everyone at the end of the night. I want to give a special shout to Paula, who was our personal server for our wedding day. She always ensured we were well-fed and drinks were topped. She was so thoughtful, and helped us out with making sure we had all of our gear and desserts at the end of the night. Everyone from the servers to the valet staff at the lodge were so accommodating and happy to help. I felt that our money was well-spent, and we got beyond what we paid for.

Matthew Rose is the best coordinator you will ever have. He is personable, responds fast. He was very easy to work with and detailed oriented which as a type A bride was ideal! We got so many compliments on the food- from the passed hors d’oeuvres, to plated meals, to drinks! It is so easy for guests to stay as there are multiple hotel options with shuttles. As the bride and groom you get your own server for the night constantly checking in to see if we needed anything! Turning stone staff also set everything up and take decor down for you. You truly show up to your own wedding as a guest and don’t have to stress about set up and clean up! Highly recommend!!!

She does not leave any detailed unaccounted for. She does above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy and have the best possible event. I would work with turning stone and Q specifically again, in a heartbeat! Our event was gorgeous, from the decor to the food to the care and consideration. We felt so special and taken care of. Turning stones got everything covered in one space too -- with great options for venues, accommodations and selections to make your event custom to your needs. They supported our guests with dietary restrictions with no issues. Their vendor lists were great and we found wonderful vendors for entertainment and to support our reception that were familiar with the venue and operations which made things streamlined and easy.

ince that is our home state. We were super nervous about planning a wedding from across the country but Turning Stone blew us away! There were so many package options and we found one that was perfect for us for a pretty affordable wedding price. Additionally, it came with a wedding planner and we hit the jackpot with Quiana Morgan. She was incredible and my husband and I refer to her as THE GOAT! She was detailed, attentive, and made everything about us and what we wanted, she never made us feel pressured and did anything she could to make sure we had everything we wanted. We had a very non traditional wedding, so we asked for some out of the box accommodations and we never heard the work no from her. On top of that, she’s just a great person with a great personality and made the whole experience so fun for us. Come day of the wedding, she had everything planned out, did all the decorating and made me vision come to life, it was absolutely gorgeous. She kept the show running and everything on time and was there to support us through the whole day. She holds a special place in our hearts and I would do any event with her 1000 times over. The venue was beautiful, the food and drinks were amazing, and all of the staff working our wedding was so sweet and just showered us in compliments and amazing vibes. The casino itself was also amazing and there was so much to do. We partied all night and made the best memories. I also got my makeup done at the spa and I looked flawless, it was amazing. The Turning Stone service altogether is impeccable- we had a lot of out of town guests and there was so much for them to do without leaving the property- they loved it and we got such great feedback from our guests. Everything from the beginning was impeccable from the tasting, golf, transportation, getting ready everything, cocktail hour and the reception food, everythingwas INCREDIBLY fluid and worth every penny. Our guests also said this was the best plated dinner they’ve ever had at a wedding- and that’s says a lot! If you can request Quiana Morgan for a coordinator. DO IT! We had 200 guests who attended the wedding and approximately 70% of them came from out of town. They still call me to this day (1 month later) on how wonderful the accommodations, food and how welcoming the staff made them feel for the entire weekend! Jamie Smith is the most absolutely amazing, wonderful, professional, caring, fun coordinator any bride & her family should have! Jamie and her team ALWAYS went over & beyond. Even annoying them on a daily basis & they never ever made me feel like I was a bother! Always answering my calls, texts & emails!! Jamie made it happen! The food is the best around, accommodations best around the venue is absolutely gorgeous, the bridal suite beyond words! But most of all Jamie and her staff! TS has a diamond in Jamie & their venue! Our coordinator, Matt, is as good as they come. He was on top of absolutely everything, made sure we had all we needed, and helped us navigate a stressful but worthwhile weather dilemma! We always felt like he had our back and was going to do whatever it took to make sure our day was perfect, and it was!! Matt has spectacular taste and brought our vision to life. We gave him our decorations at the final planning meeting and said “just make it look good, we trust you” and we were right for that. Matt thought of everything - down to putting the picture we brought of our pets on our sweetheart table. One of our guests was showing off on the dance floor and before we could grab our videographer to capture it - Matt did. He gets it, he knows how to make your day everything you have been dreaming of and more. He is calm, organized, efficient, and most of all, kind. We couldn’t think more highly of him if we tried. Thank you, Matt!! We were married on the Great Lawn and had our reception at the Shenandoah Clubhouse. It was worth every penny - and reasonably priced - for what you receive in return. Our guests received pink lemonades while they waited for the ceremony. The cocktail hour was delicious and possibly the best wedding dinner we’ve ever actually eaten - not just because it was ours, but because it was GOOD. Our wedding guests have absolutely raved about how beautiful the property was, how nice the day turned out, and how exceptional the Turning Stone staff was. Every one of our guests was met with kindness. Beyond the event itself - our guests had the time of their lives the night before and after our wedding going to bars, gambling at the casino, and treating themselves to many of the delectable treats available after hours. There is nothing left to be desired from a wedding at Turning Stone. You will have the most stunning photos, a day to remember, and guests that have so much fun they suggest a family reunion next year just so we can all go back.

My husband and I worked with April Labulis at Turning Stone who did everything EXCEPT her actual job. My husband arrived at the Great Lawn at 1:45 for our scheduled 2:00pm ceremony...

and the staff said they we were not scheduled to have a ceremony there. Cue the stress! April showed up at 1:50 and notified the staff at that time. We had a total of 20 guests at our ceremony so our contract said there should have been 30 chairs at the ceremony. There were at least 75 chairs just taking up space unnecessarily because ‘we weren’t scheduled to have a ceremony there.’ 🙄 my husband and I prepaid for everyone’s room and we paid a deposit for dinner at the steakhouse. These deposits were temporarily ‘lost’, our guests were charged random amounts to their rooms, and we were charged the entire steakhouse bill when we checked out. It’s took 2 weeks for Turning Stone to find all of this money, organize their complete mess, and give us our money back. I’m really not sure how this place is rated so highly for weddings. They did not care at all about our event.

We had so many family and friends stay in the various resort accommodations all weekend long and it made for such a fun experience. Our wedding planner, Chelsea made our entire experience from start to finish, perfect. She accommodated our every need, always was on top of everything, and just is phenomenal at her job. The banquet manager also was very nice- and the food (we are foodies) was DELICIOUS- all our guests raved about it. Robbie (the lead server), who catered to our every need that night, was so sweet, helpful and diligent! Many guests commented on how attentive and kind he was- which helped to make our experience even that much better. I can honestly say this day was made picture perfect, and I would recommend Turning Stone to any, and every bride I know. Thank you TS for providing a memory my husband and I will cherish forever ❤️

Our ceremony was on the Great Lawn, it was GORGEOUS! Our cocktail hour took place on the patio at the Shenendoah Clubhouse-wow, just beautiful and people are still talking about how good the hors doeuvres were! Our reception was inside the Shenendoah clubhouse and I never imagined a more beautiful sight. The room was amazing, our waitress was so sweet and attentive, and our guests were blown away. We had made special decorations and favors, and the staff did a wonderful job displaying everything just the way we imagined. Our flowers were provided by the Florist at TSRC, and they were just gorgeous!! I have to give a special shout out to Sarah, who was super responsive to phone calls and emails, and helped to make our wedding spectacular. Our guests loved Turning Stone; the grounds, golf, casino, everything. We are very lucky to have had such a beautiful day. We highly recommend Turning Stone to people for a wedding or any event. It was awesome!

I knew our day would be beautiful and perfect going into it, but their level of service blew us all away. There is no value that can be placed on the fantastic service we received on our wedding day. The whole staff was absolutely amazing. They made my vision a reality - and made us feel like queen and king for a day. ning Stone executed everything perfectly. One of the great things about Turning Stone is that they can basically take care of your entire wedding. We did ceremony, reception, cake, dinner, and decor all through Turning Stone. The only other vendors we had to hire were photographer and music. Also their service is amazing! From the second we arrived at Turning Stone their service was top notch. The bellman we had was the friendliest, most accommodating person we had ever met! The personal server we had at the wedding was also beyond believably friendly. He always had an eye on our glasses to make sure they were full. Anything we asked for Turning Stone was on it! Both of our families were overly impressed with the venue. We had a very large number of guests say that it was the best wedding they had ever attended.

With that being said, we did feel that the venue does "nickel and dime" you (chairs that were shown with the room were an extra fee; food at cocktail hour was just a display station with crackers & fruit - for more need to pay extra per guest). It was a little frustrating since you are paying top dollar to have it at this location. Overall, we were happy with the venue and our assigned wedding coordinator; however, wish we would have negotiated the price more and gotten details about all of the "add-ons" up front.

PROS Our wedding cake was mouthwatering and delicious (Pastry Cream and Fresh fruit - Our classic vanilla cake layered with vanilla bean pastry cream and fresh seasonal fruit.) Bakery decorated our wedding cake exactly as requested and worked with us in depth to make sure we got what we wanted. There are two salons at Turning Stone, which is convenient. Gorgeous landscaping, ponds, flowers, trees, golf course and visually attractive indoor areas. Event planner included in price. Multiple hotel options for varying budgets. Entertainment for guests such as the casino, restaurants, golf, shows, clubs, shops, spa, and salons. Delicious catering provided by Turning Stone. You can choose from multiple buffets or sit down dinner options. Affordable location to host a wedding. CONS We felt that the event planning staff could have responded to email queries faster. The hair stylist was a bit too talkative about her own personal life the morning of the wedding when she was in my room to do our hair. She stayed in my room too long after finishing our hair also. Turning Stone staff left our laptop in the unlocked reception room overnight. They neglected to pick it up with the rest of our belongings, which were returned to us. I was disgusted by this failure, but thankfully the laptop was not stolen.
