The Tuscaloosa River Market is a special event venue owned and operated by the City of Tuscaloosa. Located on the banks of the beautiful Black Warrior River. You can say, "I do" with a view!
Wedding events range from reception only events to combination wedding ceremony and receptions in the same location with a split room plan. The River Market can support seated banquets for up to 400 guests, auditorium style events for up to 800 guests, and open space for up to 1,300 guests. Our split room wedding ceremony and reception style events best accommodate guest counts of 275 or less.

Alexis and her team (Azia and Matt) were awesome! I can’t tell you how many times I revised my layout and plans changed over the year, they were always patient with me. We had Kaylee as our venue rep the evening of our wedding and she was wonderful. She was willing to pitch in so that things would run smoothly. I really wish I could have tipped her, but she refused. Our custodians Joe and Caroline were awesome too, we had a beverage spill and they cleaned it up right away.

n we needed to exchange throughout the planning process. They even set up a room for my husband and I to share a meal in private before joining the chaos of the reception. All of my other vendors knew how and when to set up and had all the help they needed. Even with it pouring rain throughout the day, the River Market was a beautiful venue that was so much fun from start to finish! Plenty of space for our wedding of 300, excellent lighting, and just overall perfect for us!

used a preferred caterer. It is $2000 if you do not use a preferred caterer. They worked with us on every little detail to make everything perfect, and we could not be happier! We had around 300-325 people there and it fit everyone great!
