Hello =)
I just got back from my honeymoon and wanted to shout out to all the vendors that made my wedding an amazing success!
Tuxedos To You, rocks...they had the best looking tan outfits for my guys. Stephen also helped me keep the guys in check when it came to getting the orders placed on time. He also made sure my brother did not lie about his sizes LOL. I would suggest that everyone tries out tuxedos to you, an amazing local small store that provides big service! We had guys coming in from all over the country and Stephen made it very easy to service and get them tuxedos.
Thank you!
I wouldn't bother using tuxedos to you if you are planning a wedding. We were promised several things from them that we later, after we signed on to rent from them, found out they could not do. Also every time we had to deal with them they could never remember anything about us, which simple note could help them with that. There was no customer service and when we complained when paying for them two days before our wedding just to let them know we were dissatisfied, instead of an apology he told us to return the tux for a refund! This is not something a bride and groom should have to deal with two days before their wedding day. So I suggest if you are looking for professionals to look somewhere else
Owner was friendly and worked with out last minute change from Men's Warehouse with a better price. Great tuxes!
Fittings were easy, quick, and accurate and the suits looked great! Highly recommend!
Excelent
My husband went here for his tux, for $130 each him and all the guys got not only their tuxes but also their shoes, socks and whatever else they needed! We even forgot to return a tie and they didn't charge us extra!!
There was so much added value, I just don't know were to begin;
Me and my fiance had no clue what we were doing for the wedding. The week after we got engaged, I decided to drag the groom to a bridal show to start getting ideas. One of the show sponsors was Tux2u. The groom wanted to go to the booth, I wanted to go everywhere else. I went to the tux booth first so the groom would be happy. I'm glad we did, at the booth a nice lady (later found out was the owners wife) gave us some vendor advice and asked us to come to the tux store before choosing vendors. She said that her husband can help give us advice on more then just tuxedos. I made a consultation for two weeks later. We put our planning on hold until then. When we came in the owner did not start in on a sales pitch for tuxedos he asked us what type of wedding we wanted. We had some ideas but were not set on them. The store was slow so we talked about what our ideal wedding would be. It took a couple hours but at the end not only did we have tuxedos but we had names and contact information for a number of vendors. We used the cake company (Party Flavors), the photographer and DJ...we wanted to use a one of the two venues he pointed out to us, but they were booked the weekend of our wedding.
Another nice thing the owner did for our wedding was help us with groomsmen selection...oddly you would think this is not any of his concern, but a smooth wedding is everyone's concern. He gave us tips on who the groom should pick and how to properly ask them.
I was asked 4 months ago to be in my buddies wedding. I was honored but also had no time to do what I needed. He told me to go get measured...I said "WHEN". I really wanted to be in his wedding, but I honestly had no time to do the tuxedo stuff. I called the tux store to provide my measurements (as I knew them to be). The guy on the phone said quickly after the 1st measurement I gave him. "Did you go get measured at a tux store?" Um...well this is were I kinda lied and told him yes. I proceeded to provide him more measurements. I could feel he was quite skeptical. At the conclusion he urged me to go get a 2nd measurement done. Later that day the groom called, apparently he was concerned about the measurements enough to contact the groom. I was upset because he made the groom upset at me. Anyhow after that I let it go. When I got down to the store the week of the wedding, this same guy had me try on the tuxedo per the measurements I gave him. The coat was 4 sizes to small, the shirt neck and sleeves were wrong...and the most absurd part was the pants. One the waist would not close (to small) and the length was about 7 inches to short. Every one in the store got a good laugh. I was not laughing, I was quite P.O.ed. I asked how this was going to get fixed! The OWNER informed me that after 16 years he had seen this before. So based on some of the measurements he ordered me a second tuxedo at his cost. I tried it on and everything fit perfectly!!! (well, he had to sew the pants an inch longer) I'm was so thankful I gave him $20 tip and apologized later that weekend to the groom for not doing what I should have first.
We got married last month after being registered with Tux2u for close to a year. Right around the holidays a friend told me that the tuxedo store we were using closed. I was frantic, even got highly upset at the tux store. This was about 10pm on a Sunday night. I was so angry I called the number I had been given. To my surprise the owner answered the phone with a happy, welcoming voice. He informed me that contact via phone and mail had been attempted for my wedding and he had not been able to get in touch with me. The I realized, since we booked with them...I had moved and even gotten a new phone number. I felt so bad about being upset and even cursing. He offered an additional $5 discount for our trouble. He gave us directions to the new location. When we came in to check it out, we were amazed at how much nicer this location was in contrast to the last. He said "This is all possible thanks to customers like you." It was very sweet and we are thankful to frequent a local mom and pop.
I was told having my wedding during the month of April would be a mistake. For them most part it was very uneventful. We did not make arrangements until a month before the wedding for tuxedos (It slipped our minds). We tried the store in the mall and it was packed wall to wall with prom kids. The sales staff was not in any hurry to work with us...we were not even greeted for over 10 minuets. We got to witness the prom customers and how they were being shuffled around like cattle, so we left. Not knowing anywhere else to go we thought about suits and be done with it. On our way home we spotted the "Tux" sign and decided to pull in. The owner was actually closing up (8pm). We stopped him in the parking lot and asked when the store would be open again. He said "Right now" and opened the store back up just for us. He was so concerned that we had waited this close to the wedding to get tuxedos that he put in the extra hours needed to service our orders quickly and perfectly, even with PROM. We own him so much, we should have offered to tip him for all his hard work even after normal hours.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. The man that owns this company is sarcastic and nasty. All of my groomsmen complained indivually about his customer service and how he spoke to them. He talks to you like you're an idiot. If I didn't already have all the guys put their deposits down we would of NEVER came back. Don't do it.
I see grooms or men don't frequent this site much, but what the heck!
I was running short on time to get tuxedos picked out before my bride was going to take over. problem was that my guys would not go into the store. No other place I went to wanted to work with me on this. When I found Tux2u, the owner told me that the name meant that if we needed to the tuxedos can come to YOU. Here is what we set up...he came over to our house on a Sunday during a football game and I threw a party for all my guys. It was amazing he would do this at no additional cost. We invited him and his wife to stay and eat. They did and now we have new friends too!
I don't know anyone that can say they are now friends with a former wedding vendor. Even on FB, LOL!
Thank you Stephen and Ticy Schaffer, for helping me resolve a potentially bad situation.
When we started out planning our wedding me and my groom knew that we wanted a unique look. However when it came to the tuxedos we gave up. After going to a number of places and we kept seeing the same thing over and over. We gave it one last shot and found Tuxedos To You. To our astonishment this small local shop had more options and selection that the large mall company. It took us about 3 hours to decide on the style as we found so many options.
Price was about the average cost we saw elsewhere and the service was far better, it showed that the staff has been working with tuxedos for quite some time.
I found Tux2u at a local bridal show. They had provided the tuxedos for the fashion show. I was very impressed with the variety of colors and options. At this point all I knew was Mens Wearhouse, I never thought of other places. I stopped by the booth and spoke directly to the owner and played a game that gave me $15 off. The owner at the show told his wife to bump it up to $25 off!
The whole experience was exceptional, the best and perhaps most fun aspect was the week of the wedding as we brought in the groomsmen to do the final try on. The owner was in a different Halloween costume each day...he said that a friend of his owned a costume store up north. It was nice to see someone so relaxed and confident at the same time. I was stressed out but not about the tuxedos.
Thank you for injecting a little fun into our stressful week!
Holidays can be stressful enough, but I wanted to do mine the day after Christmas. It was a good idea as family can escape the cold, have more time off work etc... Only problem is working with wedding vendors. ALL my vendors but ONE was difficult to work with. Most charged extra and many did not want to be open or available to service my wedding.
Tuxedos To You was different, Stephen his wife and his son all worked Christmas Eve on a special appointment with my groomsmen after they all flew in...get this it was at 9pm! The tuxedos looked amazing with only a couple last minute sewing jobs, price was less than other places we shopped.
We were not charged extra and we were meet with a smile. So happy we found a local store!
My fiancee and I had reserved 13 tuxedos through this shop (no small amount when you consider their prices). About 3 months before the wedding, we opted to change the tuxedos to navy suits, and spoke with Stephen over the logistics. He directed us to a website to view the suits, and the website stated that a white business shirt was included.
We went ahead and made the change and when we went to pick up the suits two days before the wedding, imagine our surprise when we got there and there we NO SHIRTS INCLUDED. Instead, they offered us what they available (fluffy tuxedo shirts) instead of white business shirts. One would think that this was a small issue, but given that the tuxedo shirt looked totally stupid with the casual suits, it was a major issue for us as the whole thing looked stupid. Instead of being remotely courteous or apologetic, Stephen tried to make it seem like the error was our fault, and charged us almost $200 to get the white business shirts overnighted.
I could not believe that Stephen was critisizing myself and my fiancee, as if it was our fault. I pulled up the website and our order confirmation that had listed that a white business shirt was included and he still refused to own up to his error. Even if he could not comp us the cost of overnight shipping, we felt as if he should have at least given us a free suit.
Very rude and stressful experience to have right before your wedding. Not worth it.
Some info about Tuxedos To You
The owners of Tux2u have been in the industry locally, for over 16 years. We provide the best tuxedos at the best price and the best service.
We do not lie about prices or styles and we DO tell it to you like it needs to be to protect your wedding. Many brides, grooms or members don't understand how weddings work...for most its the first time and hopefully the last wedding they need to do.
We have found over the years, that the best service its to make sure things are done right. If we know someone is going to doing something that can effect the wedding adversely we will bring it to that person's attention...even if its a bride or groom.

I went to a PWG Bridal Show where I played Plinko and got $25 off each tux rental. I dont; think we even got the discount because each tuxedo was $150. We arranged for a fitting for my then-fiance. Since all the men are out-of-staters, we inquired about how they would get their measurements to them. We were reassured that they could be measured by any tailoring shop. Because we had 8 people renting tuxes, we received a free tux for the groom. We opted to have my father get the free one instead. SO, we had set that up.
The men all did their measurements and called/emailed them in. My dad said he wanted to pay for his tux and that my husband could have the free one. We then knew we could give the free one to my step-dad. He's 82 and lives on a retirement/fixed income. We were not aware that we would have needed to contact the store about changing the free tux from one person to another person. This was not stated to us personally nor in the contract.
Our final fitting was on a Friday. The owner refused to change the NCR paperwork to allow my ailing step-father to receive the free tux when they were there to pick it up. We had to pay for the tux for them. In all reality, it was just a change of paperwork. It was completing a form with a name and address. That would have taken 5 minutes MAX. The owner argued and was nasty to my husband.
When my dad arrived later that evening, his vest was snug. In order to do a change out, the overnight shipping would have been over $60. (The replacement cost for the vest is about $70.) That was a very marked up cost to change out a vest. So, Dad decided to keep the vest.
My dad also needed a pair of socks. He purchased the socks and he wanted to try them on. They asked the owner to cut the string that help the socks together. The owner cut a hole in the socks. When my father asked him to switch them out, the owner initially refused saying that my dad caused the hole. The owner again was argumentative with a customer.
I would not recommend this vendor to anyone. He was argumentative and did not exhibit the ability to diffuse a conflict. His argumentative demeanor and threat to "call the police for harassment" when my husband filed a complaint with the BBB exhibits his inability to work WITH his customers to achieve a mutual solution. Stay away from this vendor at all costs.
We could not have been happier renting the tuxedos from Tuxedos to You. The owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful.
I had to write this review after what I witnessed today.
My daughters wedding is this Saturday 09.10.11, I told her to not do this date because it would be busy.
Boy was I right! The tuxedo store had no less than 30-35 guys and other folks in it, but that's not what I found amazing.
The store was being ran by a husband and wife team. These two looked like they knew each others thoughts. They hardly had to say anything to each other to work together. They kept the store from falling into chaos and the guys moving from paying to changing room...and out the door. I even saw the wife, get a shirt for her husband in the correct size for a switch out without being told verbally what size!
Our orders where perfect, only one guy need his pants taken up an inch. The husband (owner) took them to the back of the store and in less than 5 minutes came back with a perfect length.
If you want to see a truly amazing store go to Tuxedos To You, if you want to see a husband and wife work side by side perfectly to service your wedding got to Tuxedos To You!
My fiance had picked out a style of tux from Jos A Bank. I took it into Steve at Tux2U and he was able to find the exact match and it was cheaper. We had a large party and so the groom and my father both got their rentals for free. I met Steve at a bridal show and received a coupon for $35 off each rental. So it was a great deal for us.
I did not find out about all of this until after the wedding. The owner of the store basically harassed everyone that was getting a tux from this place. He called them way before the dead line to keep asking when they were coming in to get a fitting, insulted one guest by calling him and bluntly asking him if he planed to gain more weight, told one guest that was from out of town that his measurements where wrong. This person explained that he got them from the same guy that just did his tux for his wedding and numerous other suits. So the owner took it upon himself to change them and since the guy was coming in from out of town and could not try on the suit before the day of, found that by changing the measurements he now was wearing pants that the length was above his ankles... needless to say I was very disappointed with all of this and would never recommend them to anyone.
