Kudos to the ENTIRE resort & staff but especially Debra and Samantha. We had the wedding weekend of our dreams and are truly so sad it’s over. From the moment we checked in on Wednesday, to all of our meals, to all of the amenities, to the catering on Lady Chadwick, to the actual wedding… not one detail was missed and every single employee was so pleasant and enjoyable. The resort, despite being hit by two major hurricanes this year, is beautiful and the progress made in a month is exceptional. All of the amenities were usable for our guests and they enjoyed every minute of their stay!!! It truly was the best week and we have nothing negative to say about anything or anyone. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful, the resort restrooms were always clean and smelled like cleaning products, the food was exceptional, and the drinks were delightful! It was a 200/10 star experience and we can’t wait to return each year for our anniversary and bring our family back. I think that is what I love the most about ‘Tween Waters is it truly is a family-friendly resort built on great hospitality and traditions.
While we, unfortunately, were unable to host our wedding at 'Tween Waters due to Hurricane Milton, I still had to express my gratitude and sing their praises. From the time my (now husband) and I first stopped at their pool bar, we knew it was the place for us. Working with Debra was an absolute dream, she was thorough and responsive and incredibly kind. It was clear she was professional and was always willing to try to make some of my crazy ideas work. I always felt like she was in my corner and she did her fair share of just listening to me vent. We are heartbroken our special day could not take place at The Old Captiva House but hope all future brides will consider them! We are already thinking of a reason to host an event there in the future!
Let me start off with saying I have been visiting ‘Tween Waters since I was very young and knew right when we got engaged this was where I wanted our wedding. We had a small ceremony with close friends and family on the beach and our reception at the Old Captiva House w/ Garden Terrace. We worked with John and he was very helpful and was available the day of for coordination and set up. Communication was easy, especially with being out of town. Though it is not a giant fancy resort, it was a perfect for an intimate beach ceremony and cozy reception. Also- the food was delicious and guests said it was the best wedding food they have had. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience!
Our dream wedding! Tweenies was the most perfect place to have our reception. We had around 100 guests in the Captiva house and it couldn't have been more beautiful !!
This was our first stay at Tween-Waters but we had passed it on our visits to Sanibel and Captiva Islands throughout our many visits. Tween-Waters was the only Resort we toured and we knew this was the right place. As a same gender couple, we were not sure if we might experience any negativity throughout our planning and Tween-Waters responded quickly welcoming us to allow them to host us. We met with our first wedding/event planner Vicki last summer and she gave us a thorough tour of the resort, Rooms in every category, reception rooms and restaurants, pools, marina and private resort beach. She went over pricing, menus and all of the things we may consider when planning our wedding.
Since this would be a destination wedding for everyone attending including us, we wanted to make sure that the resort would be able to cover most of our needs and the needs of our guests. Most of our guests booked and stayed at this resort and thoroughly enjoyed their experiences.
A couple of months prior to our tasting, our wedding/event planner changed to Christine and she was just as wonderful as Vicki had been. Christine set up our tasting with Chef Greg. We selected a Taco Buffet lunch that was just perfect including vegetarian rice, beans and grilled vegetables, taco seasoned ground beef and fajita chicken, all of the taco toppings and fresh made guacamole.
Christine put together our Banquet Event Order(BEO) with the timeline of our wedding day, was flexible and quick at updating. Christine made us feel comfortable and confidant that our wedding day would be amazing.
Our wedding took place on the beach across from the resort and Christine guided our Guests across the street and drove a couple of our Guests with mobility issues across in a golf cart. She then guided our wedding party across the street and guided the wedding party when to begin their walk down the aisle.
The Banquet staff had everything ready as our Guests entered the Wakefield Room which is upstairs with windows facing the beach. They were very attentive and friendly and made sure that everything happened on time.
The Front desk staff and Pool Bar/Restaurant staff were very nice and friendly also.
We reserved a studio cottage to stay in. This was located right next to the front desk, near the pool and a short walk to the restaurants, our reception room (Wakefield Room). The room was quite roomy with a Queen size bed, two rattan chairs, a dining table with two chairs, kitchenette with decent sized refrigerator, microwave, stovetop and sink. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower. This was plenty roomy for us, our cat and all of our wedding reception supplies. It also has a fireplace and a screened in porch on the backside facing a garden area.
We highly recommend Tween-Waters Resort just for a resort stay or to host your wedding. We will be back for a stay next year if not sooner.
Everything was beautiful - beach ceremony set-up to the dinner at the reception. Only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is that we wanted to offer craft beer options at our wedding, and they were not very flexible on that.
Justine made our day perfect! And when I say perfect, I absolutely mean it. I cannot wait to go back to Tween and relive our wedding memories on the beach!
'Tween Waters did an excellent job on our wedding. It rained on the day of, so we ended up having to move indoors. It was a beautiful location they made available though. We did have a small glitch with the sound, luckily we can edit that out in the video. They were very attentive to all of our needs during the whole event! Thanks Tween Waters!
'Tween Waters was awesome for our wedding! The setting and facilities are breathtaking and well-taken care of. And the staff REALLY knows what they're doing when it comes to weddings. I planned the whole thing without a wedding planner while living in Ohio, then moving to California, and they kept on top of everything the whole way. They were always available to answer my questions, too. And in comparison to other similar places nearby, they are fairly reasonably priced. My husband was able to go jet skiing and paddle boarding (on site) with his groomsmen on the day of the wedding, while my bridesmaids and I had the on-site spa to ourselves to get ready. Their hair and make-up artists are professional and really listen to what you want, too! I would HIGHLY recommend 'Tween Waters to any couple hoping to get married on the beach!
My wedding here was picture perfect. Kelly made everything so easy and smooth that planning a wedding there was stress free. Any questions I had she quickly answered. I could not be more happy with entire staff at Tween Waters. The food was AMAZING, so many choices to chose from. The spa took care of hair/make-up and nails, (even went above and beyond last minute searching for a new shirt that my husband forgot to pack for the wedding ceremony), and the rooms all had amazing views, Everything there was so amazing we didn't want to leave. Looking forward to spending anniversaries there.
Amazing. Everyone there is so polite and it turned out exactly how I wanted it! Kelly is just amazing and made us feel so at home! Highly highly recommend
This is the 2nd wedding our family has had at Tween-Waters in the past year. Absolutely perfect, in every way. I cannot think of one thing they need to change. Both wedding were held in The Wakefield Room, with a beautiful sunset view. We had plated dinners and heard so many compliments on the food. Christine & Kelsey did a wonderful job of helping us make sure everything went as we requested. I cannot praise them enough! The first wedding I was mother of the bride and the wedding turned out better than I could have ever imagined for my daughter. The second wedding, I was the bride. And again, everything was perfect. Even the weather!
We had a lot of guests stay on the grounds, from 1 night to 8 nights. No matter what they did, the service and staff were great. Nice big pool, great pool bar and lunches. A coffee shop, The Crow's Nest for dinner, kayak & paddle board rentals, cabanas on the beach.
For a destination wedding or if you are a local, this is the place.
My husband and I just got married at Tween Waters Inn and we must say that it was the best week/weekend of our entire lives. Our guests and families are still raving about the amazing time that we all had during our stay and we wish more than anything that we could do it all over again and again. We had a few different wedding coordinators from the time we first booked Tween Waters leading up until the wedding itself, but by far, the current coordinator, Christine Harrower, was unbelievably kind and helpful. She helped us plan everything from the big picture to the tiny details all along the way and was quick to make changes, and accommodate all of our unique requests. We scheduled multiple events throughout the weekend for our guests and all of them went off without a hitch. Our guests continue to compliment the staff at Tween Waters on how nice and welcoming they were to all of us. I cannot imagine having a better location for our wedding and would recommend this resort hands down to anyone who is thinking about getting married there. We plan to spend some anniversaries back at tween waters and all of our guests are getting ready to plan their next trip back as well. Lastly, the food was absolutely amazing -- the chef was quick to adjust menu items, and went along with every one of our requests/suggestions. We want to sincerely thank the entire staff at Tween Waters, and most importantly Christine Harrower, for making this the most memorable and amazing trip of our lives. We will see you again sometime soon!

Beautiful and relaxing. Great place to have a lot of guest stay. There are many restaurants and a huge pool for the kids.
It isn't too bad.
The cabins offered have amazing decor, and fire places in some for the chilly nights. Great service, and right across from the beach.
My husband and I got married August 1, 2012 at Tween Waters Inn. They took care of our every need and made us feel special. It was a destination wedding that doubled as our honeymoon. The room were clean, the food was great, and the pool...entertainment...private beach...leisure activities were amazing! The ceremony site was on the beach, and the reception was indoors/outdoors! You really get a lot of bang for your buck!
Happily Married,

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
We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at the Tween Waters Inn. Everything was amazing and the pricing was very reasonable compared to other places on the island, for the amount of guests we were hosting. The resort was a perfect place for a mini weekend getaway for all of our friends and family. My only complaint would be the sales director, she was a bit hard to get a hold of and did not offer the comprehensive planning that she promised. Problem solved - I hired a wedding coordinator to take care of everything and be the liaison between myself and the venue, so I could enjoy my day. I believe this particular individual has left the resort, however, so I'm sure the new coordinator will be amazing! The venue was beautiful and I got so many compliments from guests about the great time that they had.
The tween waters was a the perfect place to have my destination wedding! everything was perfect from the cocktail hour on the beach after the ceremony to dancing the night away in the Wakefield room! How ever there was an issue with dinner, we had food stations with everything you could imagine, the food was delicious, but they had only brought us out platters and when it was gone they said that was it! We did not order platters we had payed per person for the food, if we had known they would be serving us platters instead of per person we would have ordered more, they gave us a hard time when the father of the bride had asked them to bring out more food, so bad that the management went so far as to pull the paperwork from our contract and what we had paid as far as the food went. They were rude about it and eventually brought out more food once they had realized they were wrong, and gave us 100$ credit at the tween waters inn. The bartenders who worked the open bar at the reception were amazing and wonderful! They worked hard and did a fantastic job!
Gorgeous location. We opted for a smaller wedding so we did not ultimately choose Tween Waters but it is a dream location for for a gorgeous wedding.
When booking my wedding at Tween Waters it all just seemed perfect, they had a beach, a reception hall, and a place I can have my hair done - all within walking distances (on the resort). Then I started to get nervous because I won't really have time to find a different vendor to do my hair if the trial doesn't go well. But the trial went well, Kristine (the hair dresser) was very willing to listen to my opinions and play around with ideas - and they day of my hair turned out perfect. It was breezy that day and she kned exactly what to do to help it stay in place while on the beach for the ceremony and pictures. I also had my makeup done here as well (by Heather) - and she did a VERY good job of keeping the makeup natural looking.
Many of my wedding guests stayed at Tween Waters, they were all very pleased with the property and amenities.
I was very impressed with Tween Waters' website, and what they offered for a beach wedding. That is, until I tried to start working with them. First of all, it was like pulling teeth for them to return my phone call, and when she finally did, she was very rude and rushed the entire conversation. When I spoke with her about the options for a reception, she said we would have to pay extra for AIR CONDITIONING, we could NOT dance or have music and we could only have our room for one hour.. I never called back...
awesome
Used Tween Waters for my 12/18/10 Wedding. Very pleased with overall service.
I recomend everyone here~~
I could not stay anywhere else that made us more at home. Food, Drink, entertainment, Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our reception venue was wonderful. There was plenty of room for dancing as well as all of the guests at the tables. The outdoor terrace was lovely. There was a lovely fountain and hanging floweres everywhere. The buffet and bar were set up in a seperate room. The food was excellent, not the average mass produced wedding food. The cake was moist and fluffy and tasted great.;Make sure your ceremony is the only one being performed on the beach at the time. Our ceremony was inturrupted by steel drum music from the ceremony down the beach.
It was paradise. Just perfect; The coordinator was difficult at times, but the officiant/florist was WONDERFUL!
The beautiful view!! Who wouldn't want the ocean and beach? I would do everything the same exact way!!!!
The food was very good. The service was excellent and they made sure everything was good.;I was not happy at all with the specific wedding cake. Other deserts were excellent. There was only one bathroom and no available place to change, you had to rent a hotel room for everyone to change. It felt like this venue was very focused on making the most money.
