Melissa has been in the restaurant, wedding and event industry since 2001. She started her career in fine dining at Trattoria Il Panino in Boston's financial district. From there she moved into banquets and events at the Hyiatt Harborside, The W and other Hotels. Melissa's knowledge and work experience are what make Twelve 31 so special. Melissa's passion and commitment to excellence is what makes every client so happy they chose Twelve 31. Shortly after opening Twelve 31 Melissa recruited her husband, Michael. Michael owned operated a few successful small businesses beginning in 1998. Twelve 31 has grown every year since opening.

Michael and Melissa were incredible to work with from beginning to end. We had an 80-person wedding at a private residence, and their guidance made all the difference in our DIY planning process. They not only excelled in catering but also answered my countless questions, ensuring our event was a success. The food was amazing—especially the grazing table, which many guests specifically praised! I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer in the future.

We hosted a small family post-elopement brunch this fall, and Twelve 31 catered the brunch. The service was fantastic, and the food was DELICIOUS! Our guests are still commenting on how much they loved the food. We will be using them for future events!

The food prepared by Michael and Melissa was absolutely delicious - so much so that we vacuum-sealed our leftovers and are still eating off of them 6 months later AND we plan to buy another pan of steak tips specifically to vacuum-seal again and have on hand for meals.
Our one criticism with Twelve 31 Events is that they were a bit difficult to work with leading up to the event. They didn't budge on any part of their timeline for wedding day, claiming it would mess with the integrity of their food. Wedding days never go according to timeline, and with them being so adamant that nothing could go off course (or else...) made things stressful leading up to the event. It's not necessarily about the action of not having wiggle room, but more about how it was communicated and Michael telling us that we/our other vendors were wrong on certain things we had already planned out.
Our wedding day went off without a hitch with food distribution as far as we could tell, everyone loved the food, the caterer's were pleasant, so all was good in the end.
Other than the frustration with the pre-planning of the event, we have nothing but great things to say about Michael and Melissa and the food they curated for our wedding!

We found Twelve 31 Events when our original caterer fell through for our wedding in Warren, NH. Warren is almost an hour away, and they were willing to deliver food to us, which was really awesome. Michael was extremely communicative and super flexible with our last minute menu changes. We went with the Tray favorites and it was a hit with our guests. Our menu was: braised beef, chicken/broccoli/ziti, vegetable raviolis, roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. We ordered 1-1/2 trays of each and it easily fed 32 people with plenty of leftovers. We also ordered the nut & berry salad and added bread rolls. Everything was great! We really appreciated Michael and his catering team going the extra mile for us. We found Twelve 31 Events on The Knot when we were researching caterers for our recent outdoor wedding. We wanted someone local who had catering experience, professionalism but mostly delicious food! Melissa and Michael were the perfect team! They were extremely helpful in answering all our questions and provided not only food but bar tending services. The staff were friendly, efficient and accommodating to all our quests and their needs, which included some gluten free options. We received outstanding reviews from all our quests about the taste, quality and quantity of all the food and drinks provided. We could not have found a better caterer for our special day. We highly recommend Melissa and Michael from Twelve 31 Events!

Our guests keep bringing up how great the food was at our wedding! Twelve 31 Events was wonderful to work with and the food was delicious. We were also lucky to have had the support of Michael and Melissa while navigating the pandemic. Between the many date changes and venue switches, it was not easy for any of our vendors. We are so thankful to have had such understanding people help us pull off what ended up being the perfect day and well worth the wait!

Twelve 31 Events was amazing to work with! So helpful and straight forward. We were having so many issues finding a caterer for our wedding and then I came across Twelve 31 Events and they helped everything fall into place so simply. The food was to die for! The pizza dip was so delicious. They showed up on time and food stayed hot even when we were running late after the ceremony. It was perfect. Highly recommend!

We loved working with Melissa and Michael, and we loved the food they cooked and served at our daughter's wedding! We are so grateful for their warmth and skill. Right from the start, they were responsive and helpful. We had some specific ideas in mind -- a completely vegetarian wedding catering to people with various food preferences and needs -- and Twelve 31 was open to working together to create our perfect wedding menu.
I had several conversations with Melissa about menu ideas, and felt that she was both inspiring and willing to work collaboratively. The tasting helped to fine tune our selections, and we were so very pleased with the results.
Much gratitude and highest recommendation for Melissa and Michael at Twelve 31. We wouldn't hesitate to work with them again for any event.

We hired Twelve31 Events for both our wedding catering and day of coordination. Melissa custom made us a mac and cheese bar that was absolutely amazing! She also did the catering for our rehearsal dinner, so we kept her busy all weekend. Our guests were raving about the food both nights! We had Halie as our Day of Coordinator and she made sure our day ran smoothly. Twelve 31 was super responsive and helpful throughout the wedding planning process. They truly did an amazing job!

We began planning our wedding shortly after our engagement, and knew that we were going to need help. Doing a quick search on the internet, we found Melissa at Twelve 31 Events. To put it plain and simple, Melissa is an absolute saint. From the first moment we spoke with her on the phone, she immediately made us feel calm and confident that we could plan the perfect wedding that fit our personalities (and our busy schedules). We gave her just basic ideas of what we thought we'd like, and she really did the rest (vendor sourcing, creative decor ideas, staying true to our initial ideas without going over budget, etc.) After our first discussion together, we came to find out that she also owns her own catering company. We gave her some basic food ideas, and she invited us to a personalized food tasting. We were nothing short of BLOWN AWAY by how delicious her food was (she's been catering for 20 years!).
When selecting 5 stars on this rating system, the words "The Best Ever!" pop up next to it. We could not agree more with that assessment - seriously. Not only do we feel that we have an amazing planner and caterer, but we've also made a great friend in the process. Do yourself a huge favor and contact Twelve 31 events - we promise you won't be disappointed!
